Anet is trying to force people to buy gems. I fully understand that. Hey Anet, how about you come with some good cash shop items (current cash shop items are beyond lame) that will make players want to purchase gems instead of lame tactics like DR?
A lot of players love to heal. A lot of players love to tank. And I don’t mean the gimmick healing and tanking that Gw2 has either. Removing the Holy Trinity was one of the worst things an mmo could do. Some things are not meant to be changed. Enjoy your zerg fest Gw2 fan boys….
Gw2 could of literally annihilated wow if they hadn’t removed the Holy Trinity…Removing the Holy Trinity has done nothing but create voids that are being filled with mindless zergs…
Removing the Holy Trinity has done nothing except create voids that are being filled with zergs. Anet knew removing the Holy Trinity was a big risk and it just so happens that this risk did not pay off….
The artwork is so beautiful in this game that it’s a shame to not have ground mounts. Having a ground mount would be the equivalent of jumping in the car to enjoy a nice ride while enjoying the scenery……
Why would I do hours and hours of mindless zergs only to obtain skins to do more hours and hours of mindless zergs?
Is it against the rules for me to multi-box characters?
One of the major problems is that everything is so normalized, which is great for balance, but makes for boring distinctions between professions. Another major problem is that your character gets every major ability that they are ever going to have by the time they are level 10. Which means, during the 70 more levels you will become bored of your abilities fairly quickly…
I agree 100%. Gw2 is failing to create a sense of accomplishment for players. Players love to showcase their toons and showcase their skills. Another major aspect Gw2 is lacking is rivalry between players…
What a suprise the trading post is down, yet again. This game has been broken since release…./sigh
Trading Post is taking my money, but it isn’t giving me my items. Furthermore, ironically the in game bug report system is bugged. It keeps telling me that I need to fill out all information even though I have. This game has been broken since release…..sigh
Yes I agree that adding weapon bonuses really limits the purpose of weapon swaping. It’s impossible to buff both weapons sets and you really feel nerfed while using the unbuffed weapon set.
After studying the trait lines I have come to the final conclusion. Trait lines need to be broke down into a set of ten instead of five. Having a five set trait line really forces players to take stats they really don’t want. I like power, precision, critical damage, toughness, vitality, and healing. I could care less about condition damage, condition duration, or boons. But, I am forced to have stats that I have no desire for.
The current system has five trait lines that consist of two stats each to choose from with a maximum placement of 30 points and 6 bonuses. A better system would be 10 trait lines that consist of one stat each to choose from with a maximum of placement of 15 points and 3 bonuses. The new system would give a player more control over their play style and should have little to no effect on the current balance of the game.
Some trait lines make perfect sense, while, others make no sense at all. Some trait lines appear to give you a choice, but you really don’t have a choice at all. Every profession needs toughness. You need toughness no matter if you WvW, Spvp, or just do pve. I’m currently leveling a thief, which I’m about to delete due to trait lines that give no benefit and force me to play a style that I do not want to play.
Shadow Arts: +Toughness + Healing – I have to put points into this trait if I want to survive. The problem is the bonuses are based on stealth and melee. I dual wield pistols and weapon swap shortbow. I am at a disadvantage because I have to put 30 points in this trait for survival, but I am short 6 bonuses due to the fact they support melee and stealth and have nothing to due with my weapons of choice…Catch 22
This game is not pay to play. Anet has to make money. If you are failing to understand that, then maybe you should join the the kung fu panda and pet battle launch. Enjoy your time in in kiddie land…
Anet does not have a sub fee to support future content. Instead, they use a cash shop to support any future content. Does Anet use tactics to get players to buy gems? Of course they do. Is there anything wrong with this? Of course there isn’t. Anet is in business to make money. I have over 10g and have over 1100 gems (haven’t made it past lvl 35) and I have not spent one penny, nor will I ever.
1. WvW should consist of a battle between 2 servers.
2. Make map smaller to limit the amount of running currently being done.
3. Institute server rankings.
4. Top 2 servers face off in 48 hour battle.
5. Top server will receive special bonuses.
Major Flaws:
1. Holy Trinity removal has created mindless zergsIt’s only mindless if you don’t know how to play. Learn.
2. Professions are too normalized causing them to not have enough distinction. This is mainly due to traits being carbon copies from one profession to the next.
Having played a thief to 80 and a ranger to 40 I can happily state that between these two potentially similar classes there is little to no bleed-through of mechanics.
3. You get all of the main attack abilities that your character will ever have by the time your level 5 causing you to become very bored of them real quick on your way to 80..
I find new and interesting ways to link my skills together even now. If you dislike using the same moves repeatedly… I hope you intend to disregard almost every other game with combat ever… Except maybe bayonetta.
I can see you’re a Gw2 fanboy so you will defend this game blindly. I’m not the only one who says the game play is a zerg fest. There are literally thousands of post mentioning the exact same thing. Traits are the same for all professions period. The professions are very normalized, which, brings great balance in pvp, but also, brings the feeling of deja vu for all professions…

That brown crap floating around me while using Signet of Rage on my warrior is not very appealing. Please remove it…
All professions are so normalized that I always felt like I was playing the same profession no matter what profession I was playing….
This game is missing a sense of accomplishment that showcases your character…
I agree with the op. The art work in the game is so beautiful that it’s really hard to believe that most of the armor especially the weapons are just plain ugly…
Zerg Wars is better name for this game. Spvp all you do is zerg, zerg, and zerg some more. WvW all you do is zerg, zerg, and zerg some more. Dungeons all you do on bosses and some trash pulls is zerg, zerg, and zerg some more. Removing the Holy Trinity has created voids that are being filled with zergs…
This game is far from flawless and has several serious issues that need to be addressed. Some people have better insight than others and will notice these issues a lot sooner. Those who are oblivious to their surroundings will continue to claim there is nothing wrong with the game…
Oh my bad. Never mind trying to keep the game as balanced as possible because that would just make too much sense. I might be getting my teeth kicked as a result of being out numbered, but hey, at least I’m getting 33% more karma…much better.
The enemy greatly outnumbers you so we give you: 20% magic find – 33% Karma – 33% Experience….How does any of that off-set the fact you are out numbered? This game is starting to become laughable…
There is no need for a 64bit client. Even if ANet were to implement one, performance gains would be negligible at best.
More Ram = Higher performance period. 32 bit client only allows the use of 2gb ram. Where as the 64 bit client will allow me to use the 64gb of ram that I have…
Is there a 64 bit client available? If so, where can I get it? If not, then I suggest you create one. Thank you and have a nice day.
The mindless zerg is a result of removing the Holy Trinity from the game…
Yes I can and will go back to wow. Gw2 has some nice aspects, but it’s lacking in some serious areas. WvW, Spvp, and Dungeon are huge zerg fest due to the removal of the Holy Trinity. I enjoy tanking and healing and I don’t mean gimmick tanking and healing. Gw2’s graphics are top notch, but there is a lot more to being a good game besides having nice graphics.
Please enable an option to reduce/remove foilage. I know some players enjoy the look of foilage, I however, do not. This is one of the first games in a long time to not have an option to control the density of foilage. Please add an option to do so…
Let me start this off by explaining what has happened by removing the Holy Trinity. For those of you that have played World of Warcraft you will know what I’m talking about. In World of Warcraft there is a battle ground called Alterac Valley. Among destroying enemy bunkers/towers the main objective is to kill the other team’s boss.
Healers and tanks are needed when attempting to kill the boss. But, what do players do if their team doesn’t have any healers and tanks? They take the nearest grave yard and they will zerg the boss until he is dead. Now that we have a basic understanding let’s discuss what removing the Holy Trinity has really done.
Gw2 doesn’t have healers so structured pvp and World vs World consist of zerg after zerg. Dungeons in Gw2 are nothing but zerg fest as well. When players die during boss attempts all they have to do is release and run back in and continue to zerg the boss until the boss is dead.
Overall, the removal of the Holy Trinity sounded like a very good idea. But, the only thing it did was create voids that are filled with zergs. Futhermore, there are literally hundreds of thousands of players who only like to tank or heal. Removing the Holy Trinity has effectively cut hundreds of thousands of players out of the game…
What is the least played profession?
No it is not just you. Both spvp and WvW are both zerg fest. Pvp is really lacking in this game.
Obviously you haven’t played much PvP
.
I have been pvping for over 15 years and compared to other games where pvp is available Gw2 is severly lacking…
No it is not just you. Both spvp and WvW are zerg fest. Pvp is really lacking in this game.

On a thief what does this mean? What weapon is an off hand light?
Are we stuck using the same weapons that are provided to us when participating in spvp? I would like to use 2h sword or 2h mace on my warrior instead of being forced to use a rifle or dual wielding axes…
Spvp: Being instantly boosted to 80 and being able to pvp is awesome. But, not recieving any real reward for doing so is not. I’m a pvp buff and never have really cared too much about pve. Being able to recieve xp for doing standard pvp would have been very nice.
World vs World: There are several things wrong with this. There are way too many distractions. Players are gathering, using the trading post, and there are even crafting stations available. Seriously, crafting stations? The maps are way too huge. I spend most of my time traveling across the map.
Overall standard pvp and world vs world are just zerg fest. Zerg, zerg, and more zerging…
My warrior has floating artifacts surrounding her.
