sorry bro, that was actually an FSP guy that came up with that; I really don’t think that they blob that much.

Every server blobs mate. If you blob for let’s say 5 hours and the other for 3 hours, you are doing exactly the same.
But mocking another server for that and pretending that your server are the templars of wvw is naive.

First of i agree with you that “Blobbadons” is a fail nickname given to you by servers that is playing exactly the same as you.
I have no problem personally with the way you guys are playing, i kinda like it, and atleast you are honest about it. You don’t pretend to be something you are not.:)
It reminds of the horror stories i have heard about Vizunah and when we actually faced them i discovered that it was a made up story by some T1 forum warriors.
The problem most of the people here have is with 1(one) poster from your server and that is all.

Yeah Ixrallis i agree.
Abbadons is just like any other server at this league no need to argue that.
They have their own playstyle and i never agreed with people mocking them.
Other servers who claim to be guild oriented is actually more blob oriented than Abbadons.
My personal issue was with a particular poster but no need to continue that.
As i said i have respect for Abbadons, fast responses, good overal organisation, classy posters:)

@Zord I hope that last prime time and last night when there were people playing have teached you a lesson, that you shouldn’t talk too much and give respect to your opponents.
Also you should learn that this is a game and people are playng the game the way they enjoy it most and that you are in no position to teach other servers how they should play it.
This goes to zord and not to all the decent Abbadons players, as the rest of your forum posters are very classy.
Overall i have respect for Abbadons as a well organised server

Currently Gunnars Hold is a medium population server and that means tranfer is cheap.
We do have one of the strongest eu prime times and we are looking for some assistance to our offpeak.

Sorry for hijacking this thread but from an outsiders view it is a pitty a server that got dominated hard at prime time to be able to take the lead due to nightcapping only.
Don’t blame them though, blame the mechanics of the game that allows hard fought caps to count equal to pvd.

We have blobs but since we all love our guilds and our opponent guilds we prefer to call them “Guilds performing difficult maneuvers”

You are not the only server that got transfers this week mate, it is just the fact that many servers don’t advertise them and they are waiting to show them at the field
Seriously now, don’t judge server strengths by the score at one match.
It depends on various reasons for example who was the third opponent or a pve patch and many more things
Usually gaps less than 30k is a sign of a balanced matchup.
However winning or loosing , finishing 5th or 6th at the league doesn’t matter much.
What is is important for me is the server you are playing to be competive and this is the reason why silver league will be good.
Too many competive servers.
As for the GH-FSP matchup thread i am sure that nothing will happen.
We had worst matchup threads against other servers and next time we met them it was back to business.
Two or three trolls from each side cannot spoil a good matchup and that was a good matchup.

I do think it will come down to Abbadons,Desolation and Gandara.

Abbadons is the favourite but on the contrary to what everyone believes i don’t think think they have the best coverage.
They have a super strong reset but an average week.

Gandara, don’t know much since it’s been a year we played those guys.
Seems a very stable server and a strong contender to my eyes.

Desolation is the biggest ? at this league.
Will the sleeping giant wake up and devour anything? Coming soon

Aurora is similar to us (Gunnars Hold). Very strong prime time, weaker night than us, stronger afternoon.

Gunnars Hold. I can’t say much about my server except that if we had a late night-morning guild we would be very very serious contenders.

Far Shiverpeaks is really strong right now. i imagine they strengthen their prime time with the addition of a very good guild like XxX and they got an american guild to strengthen their offpeak. I do not think FSP can win but they are at the same level with us, Aurora, Millers and Fort Ranik.

Millers got Mya back and noone should underestimate them. Their morning zerg is something i have nightmares of.Decent prime time also.

Fort Ranik from what i’ve read got an american guild. They were allready a very compact server with no large gaps. It will not surprise me if the finish top 3.

Underworld last but not least. I do not know the impact of those wvw guilds departure. For me Underworld had the strongest pugs but in theory they will finish last.

I strongly believe that EU silver league will be the most competive league, with high level of play and my hope is that we will keep the same level at the forums too:)

OT: Drakkar previously lost a lot of WvW oriented guilds to other servers and is recuperating. Therefore the accusation of tanking is a bit harsh.
And for the german onslaught during primetime, this isn’t really a choice we have, we all play during 1 timezone while most of us have similar work or school schedules. Even we have to win our points during our playtime.

I just i believe you have a very strong prime time, and a morning crew (breakfast zerg) that i do not think any of the bronze league servers can match
Also Drakkar in general has the nicest people posting at forums.

24/7 coverage of 10-50 people? That is crazy for bronze league and if it true it will all come down to if Surmia can hold the german onslaught at prime time and early morning.
I do believe Drakkar Lake will win though even if i am rooting for RoF

I heard many horror stories about Vizunah in the past but now that we faced them i can safely say that they were not true.
Vizunah is a very fun server to play against

I never whined about Vizunah, i even said they are much better and much more respectfull than the so called guild servers.

This matchup is very fun, at least for me :-).

I am very glad that I could face Viz and Kodash before the leagues started.
Since the first time we met, Kodash is one of my favourite servers to face. And Viz indeed has skilled smallscale players; I met them.
Imagine this, our force of 3-5 even managed to outman some of those we met!

Flavour of this matchup: thieves working together, calling target and executing a poor, poor mesmer in the most inappropriate moments. This is something I have never encountered before, will definitely train my reactions and timing /salute.

Kodash, skill of your roamers is astonishingly high. Those fights in the ruins, simply delicious.

Viz, I have never seen such well coordinated server. I don’t know why, but playing against you gives me that nice feeling “that’s how the game should be played”. We simply COULDN’T pry those ruins from you in our small squad. Response times and coordination – even with no waypoints – wow :-). I am simply amazed.
And it is ‘normal players’, not guild groups, for once!.

From my side, I vow to protect Water and Hero camps (from time to time) in Viz borderland, using 2-3 players and 5 ballistae! Because, as a wise (yet criminally insane) man said, “if you have a problem, throw MOAR ballistae on it”.

I always respected and wanted to fight Vizunah.
All that time they were facing servers with fancy guilds and most of the time Vizunah were beating them. To me that is impressive.

Imo the match was over yesterday prime time where we ticked +400 but it is an awesome match though.

As the matchup is almost over i have to say it was an exciting week.
During the weekend where UW still fought with all their strength it was really balanced.
After that it felt like 1vs1 sometimes.
I am sorry to read about what is happening to UW atm. You guys were always a worthy opponent and i hope that you will be back soon to your former strength.
Despite some trolling from both sides, personally i always had respect for FSP and it is a good thing for the silver league that you guys can do some serious damage now
Overall a balanced and enjoyable match.

GH is more like applesauce than a real apple.
For the success, it depends on the goals you have.
Fun- yes and no (bit bored they are wiping that easy)
loot bags – yes
Wxp- yes
Bay- yes
Hills- yes
Garri- no
Conclusion- four successes, one failure, one mixed. Overall a success.
But i have to admit, we as fsp are failing to win the trolling in this forum topic. So yes we can still learn something from GH.

The only field you are loosing atm is the score, which doesn’t matter to most anyways.

To Votf guys, you didn’t fail.
We have used broken game mechanics and we were constantly running low level warriors at a map with no queues to stop you from taking garrison, which you are more than able to take it anytime you want with the other fsp roaming guilds.
Can we move on please?

Amelia we know perfectly well where we are as we are facing those servers for quite a long time.
Actually we haven’t recruited anyone for prime time. We are extremelly happy that those guilds joined us and we are more than happy to be where we are now.
I do believe that silver league is going to be a lot of fun as there is not a single server that will be a pushover.

There were no other objectives, we owned hills and bay at the time, and even if they took them back we didnt care, those 2 were flipped from t3 to paper, all we wanted to do was remove the upgrades on garrison.

When VoTF set their raid the intention wasnt “get the highest ppt” it was simply, flip each keep once to remove upgrades.

We got to the last keep, but due to the waypoint location, the layout (its garrison after all) the keep proved to be impossible to capture. And we certainly do know how to play the game, if there was a viable counter we would have thought of it on the spot.

Discussing the matchup? This entire thread was fail from the start anyways, all ive read is “bla bla ive wiped this guild, they blobbed”. I offer you a discussion on actual game mechanics, something that requires some depth or knowledge of the game, and immediately “I am entitled to my opinion!” qq. Grow up, I never said you werent, I simply asked whether it is good for the game or not.

Although encouraging discussion is hard, instead what I will do is post screenshots of all the GH guilds we have wiped over the week, cause trust me its a lot.

Because you are playing at a high skilled guild does not make your opinion more valuable.

Gunnars hold will be a silver league server.
Currently it costs 500 gems to transfer to Gunnars which is the cheapest in the EU silver league. We also have one of the strongest EU primetimes. All we really need is a little more off-peak coverage and we’ll be very competitive and a contender for the top spot in our league.

I have faced a lot of servers but your pugs was by far the toughest.
