From the guild raid leader of tonight, a few thanks!
– Salute from PRXM to SWAT in EB this evening. You fought bravely, each time.
– It was also great to fight XxX – would love to do that more. There was especially one time, where you surprised us in Org camp. Another time we faced you head on almost GvG, but our commander interfered, which was propably what tiped that clash to our side.
– Also, all commanders on the map seemed to be doing very good during the evening. Cheers for that.
– A shame FIRE only showed up for one fight in the beginning, would like more, indeed.

All in all good fights in EB this evening. We ended up more than happy, and with more than full bags :-)

Must have only been a few of us Fire then, we didn’t have anything planned today because we’re still settling in and getting people over and what not, but hopefully we will be back to our normal 16-20 man awesome squad soon =)

I am sure it won’t take you that long to get settle so i can’t wait to face you guys at full force as you were the last 3 weeks

Itsmee as always you are trying to find reason in this mess of a thread.
There are like 4-5 people who can’t enjoy a well mannered thread and that is why we are making circles around the same spot.
Check the history of those threads and you will see that they are always the same people while you, sird,mizu and some others are well mannered and trying to keep this thread on course.

CHvc had a great laugh in RoS BL last night – our aim was to coordinate with a couple of other guilds, take and hold Hills, and really establish ourselves on the RoS map. We know we’ve been beaten soundly this week, but the server as a whole, and especially the guilds that make up the backbone of our WvW, wanted to still enjoy ourselves.

Props to Dis for sorting it all – it was a good plan!

Thanks to SOE, CORE and MM – Gwyn’s team seemed to be having all the fun on the west side of the map after we took Hills and were consolidating ourselves there. We had a few RoS guilds knock on the door, but nothing that couldn’t be pushed back.

Dzag started to push in small numbers at water, then in much larger numbers when HON appeared.

From then on it got a bit crazy with a huge three way battle at Hills. Fun times, nothing I could see that was blobbing or zerging, just good clean fights between well organised guilds and groups on all three servers.

You don’t have to play at 80 seriously ! Chvc was maybe 25-30 ? Why blobing at 80 on hills seriously x)
Congrats you took hills before we came, but after we can’t had a good fights.

What you can do is adapt and improve

Learn Learn Learn? Use different tactics? LOL. I’ve been on T1 too, main problem is that we dont have as many big and active wvw guilds. But alone Cry Havoc, PRXM, MM etc can wipe you. The difference is you have plenty of that size. Give us 4-5 more of that size+a night raid team that is strong, and we’d have equal opportunity to win.

Ye we are all worse then anyone on Gunnars Hold. You guys clearly are the top notch skilled players everyone of us wants to be. There’s no other way to win against you but outnumbering.

Let me ask you this, what do you suggest we do to solve your issues? Allow us to hear your constructive criticism instead of repeating what you think is the problem. If you actually have a solution then by all means post it, but if you want to put down another “RoS got 6 T1 guilds” then I’m afraid your post would be completely pointless and repetitive, and probably shall be reported.

I’ve said it over and over; we’ve heard your complaints and there is absolutely nothing we can do. These guilds did not break any game rule by moving because they are, like any of us, are entitled to do anything in the game as long as they don’t break the rules made by ArenaNet.

Tl;dr
If you have a complaint, send it to ArenaNet because they are the only ones that can actually do something, but don’t post it here.

Well in general i agree with what you said.
For me the solution is to stop provoking us(not you, your posts make sense)
Stop the blobing posts, stop the equal numbers posts, stop the it’s your chance to get better posts, stop the good luck at tier 8 posts, stop the we didn’t recruited we only shown interest at some guilds posts, stop the 150 people is not a big deal.
Do not come to the opponents shoutbox and mock them.
Show respect to your enemies and you shall get the same.
If i personally don’t see that i will start reporting all of the above.

No, what would happen is the big guilds would fight each other, the small guilds would fight each other, and the smallguilds would likely also develop more tactics for when they face the big ones, which might even cause them to kill a large group.

I was running with some guys from GH (Holden Horde) one night in t1, was about 5 of us, and we bumped into a zerg. Not the same as an organised guild group, and it wasn’t a blob, jsut a zerg, but we managed to kill quite a few of them before we decided to run off simply because we were playing smart.

We were 5 and killed a large amount, of course it would be harder against an organised guild, but you would also be more (since you say the average size is 10-15, or somebody did at least), and likely these large guild groups would only be as big as a group as we fought then, on reset.

This is my exact thoughts. If a larger guild came onto GH right now my first port of call wouldn’t be the forums to cry or QQ about it. My first port of call would be to engage them in game to see what they are made of, if we wiped then I would look at what we could do better to improve ourselves and I would continue that until we had improved enough or adapted enough in order to counter them and their tactics.

Saying that some of the “better guilds” coming to opposing servers is destroying the game is actually very naive at best and down right stupid at worst.

Adapt, overcome, develop yourselves, you don’t need to get into huge blobs to do it…

No matter how much i develop and adapt myself and the 10 people around me we won’t be able to beat the 50 people that are spawn camping us. Maybe if we had Lyric with us we could:)
Saying that 150 more players to a server is actually a chance to improve for the other server is actually very naive.

Can people start to clarify who their aiming that vitriol at. I appreciate that people prefer smaller fights, that is one of the main reasons VoTF came to this tier, that and the fact we were sick of the monotony of the turtle gaming ethos that many started to adopt in T1.

What does it matter if guilds come from Tier 1, Tier 10, Tier 9000! Tiers are not indicative of skill level so once again why mention tiers at all.

Apparently it means you guys are used to big fights while we are not and frankly not many of us care to get used to.
It means that those servers were you came from are more wvw oriented while the servers we are currently playing used to be more casual.
An example was a post from a guy, sorry i don’t remember his name, that was something like “those guilds that transfer can field about 100 players, it is no big deal they can only fill a border” while on our server 100 people are probably more than our reset force.
But hey i don’t personally have a problem with you guys.
If i was at your place though i would have done a better research and i would have tried not go where other guilds that their size alone can flip the balance of a matchup.
But i cannot accuse you, you said you went to the server that it was best for your community and you seem to be having fun here.
Do i enjoy your presence here? Not at all but ofc you don’t give a dime if i enjoy it or not and you shouldn’t.

Very hard reset on RoS BL.
There was 1 big zerg by GH and an other one by Dzagonur.
We were playing with FRS but double focus due to the situation was very hard. We had some great fights at hills and Garrison.
PrxM tryed to came close to midnight, I think they won’t come again ;p

I am sure you guys will do just fine:)
I can understand how it feels to be outmanned and facing the gigantic enemy blob but in the end this will make you stronger in the future. Keep the faith:)

As for the match-up, sure it’s uneven and unfair but that’s WvW. You need to remember that we done the same to other servers when Xaoc joined us. We’re just going to have to wait it out.

Ofcourse he is honest and we actually apologised to our opponents for ruining the matchup on several occasions.
We didn’t invent even numbers and that our opponents were blobbing to face us:)
Oh we didn’t mock our opponents either.

I haven’t seen blobs yet personally, I’ve seen some zergs, and a pretty big turtle, but nothing what i could call a blob after having played in T1.
I’ve also had no skill lag so far, no fps lag (thinking of upping my gfx settings a bit and see what happens – i prefer playing pretty games), and people will actually fight us instead of running away/into the nearest tower or keep without it being under attack or on our path, etc.

While I have no doubt T5 has bigger numbers, I doubt they will be of the sort that Vizu fielded, and like Vizu plays.

Oh for that you can be sure that we will fight you.
I would personally fight you even if i was alone at the map.

Since you weren’t at this matchup since the beginning let me tell you a couple of things.
We had a a guy at our chatbox(I am from GH btw) mocking us about our skills and accusing us about blobing as the only way to beat them
That guy is from one of the guilds recently tranfered to RoS, name and guild is not important.
If you have nothing better to do, check this topic to see and you will understand what i am talking about.
So you see why we are a bit curious about why some high and mighty T1 guilds, accused a puny T7 server of blobing.
As for your wish that those fights may continue, sorry mate but not gonna happen.
You will soon be at t5 and it is completely another game there:)

@Teel Simply they do not have the coverage vizuna has. Otherwise tier does not mean skill as you will soon realise.

As this week ends, as i said last week to Dzago guys, i am sad to see RoF drop a tier but next week we will be at the place you are now probably.
You guys are a decent server
As soon as those people move up we can have the awesome fights we had for 3 weeks again:)

We came here looking for those kinds of fights, and despite what you may think about us, alot of our players started on low Tier servers and know exactly what to expect, its one of the reasons why we moved here. The massive blobs that exist in T1 are tbh vey depressing, we are a social guild too and enjoy playing together, this wasnt possible in T1 anymore, this is possible now.

If this was your intent then you have made the wrong choice. With the transfer of the last days RoS will be soon in the same tier of FSP, Gandara, or Aurora Glade, and you’ll be overwhelmed by blobs (hell even FN and AM like to blob).

After all, don’t you think it’s pretty pointless to move en masse to a lower tier? It’s obvious that the server will rise quickly and you’ll end up at the starting point, in other words, blobs and lag.

What will you do at that point? Another mass transfer to start over? And then again, again, again … It’s clear that this game has limits in W3, but it is equally obvious that the players are committed to make things worse, and the absurd thing is that it would take very little to prevent the blobs fest.

A voice of reason came finally from a person outside of this matchup.

Krosan you bring some valid points to the discusion but we have allready beat Millers and Drakkar aswell as Abandons several times.
We are not a hardcore sever that is why we couldn’t get past tier5.
We have several wvw fanatics though.
Thomas is right there is not such a huge difference at tiers 5-7 and servers go up and down all the time.
I have to say though that since the last time we faced you guys you have really improved. Better coverage and better strategy.
Good job goes to Dzagonur too. Really a decent server.
As we will probably face each other for more weeks let’s keep this thread civil as it was mostly the first week.

Well Krew have just gone to bed and surely enough left GH 6k points in the lead after an exhausting night of PvDoor’ing. They came up against 6 defenders in Mendon and Ogrewatch though so it took the 25 of them, wait for it…..4 hours to take those two towers. Another Xaoc all over, GH rises up a tier or so comes up against another night crew, Krew get fed up of the connection they have and leave them, then GH plummet back down to where they should be. I like even matches guys even if you win, how about you ditch the yanks and come fight us toe to toe on this huh?

We have been nightcapped, morningcapped to oblivion before but that is the nature of the game mate.

seems GH is copying AMs golem “tactics” lol. We might outnumber GH during the day sometimes, but during the night the story is entirely different. Probably Yorric forgot to mention that in his kitten waving posts.

We are not copying anyone, we have done it a lot of times in the past actually.
I won’t throw any more fuel to the fire about who has more players and at what times, but we are trying what we can to gain as much points as we can at any time.
For quite some time even in our lowest point, night was our stronger period.

Not sure if you noticed, but when DW had their guild event in GH border, we had 2 guilds havin their event in AM border. We had Hills and Bay on AM longer then we had them on GH. My first plan was to go to AM yesterday, but I noticed GH was second place and I wanted some payback for the constant attacks from Xaoc on our Hills last week. AND we wiped the AM zerg couple times on GH so they just left.
Also, when your border is weak (I mean with upgrades, paper gates and stuff) its a tactical decission to go there When we loose one of our keeps, I notice GH does their best to keep us dry from supply by assaulting our camps, until you have enough people to go for the keep. Same goes for EB, as long as your towers arent T3, both servers just try to keep it like that.

TL;DR : no alliance, just tactical decision…FSP has been in the same spot GH is now for a LONG time, lets not ruin a great match up now

Ok i admit that map does look ugly like a 2v1.
But if you look closely, we only took ogres from you, and our outbreak tower, the rest is camps.
Seems like it’s the germans that have settled for second place already that is your main problem.

There were constant attacks at our border FSP to Hills , AM at Bay. Not a single camp has flipped at your borders for more than 4 hours. Same goes for AM border.
At EB the same story. Maybe a co insidence.:)
