Sorry for hijacking this thread as my server isn’t playing at this match.
Secondly people from Vabbi and FoW has my respect for sticking to a server and trying to make it a better place.
To my eyes those people fighting all those months against all odds deserve respect and only that.
I do hope Anet will do something to help those servers, be it free transfers or something else i really don’t know.

As the week comes to an endi want also to pay my respect to both Riverside and Pike Square. I am not gonna follow the discussion about blobs, ac and stuff.
To Riverside, you guys are a really strong defensive server and i am saying this as a compliment as i am a defensive oriented player, i met some really good solo players and some very well organised guilds.
To Piken you guys, have way more numbers than back at November where we faced you. But the quality some of your guilds bring to battlefield is impressive. VII, FG, SFRJ, WAR and many more are awesome.
As for my server i think we did very weel, we were a good mood and i think some times we made you guys forget that we are a t7 server.
Congratulations to Riverside for the win and i personally had a lot of fun this week.

I think we (GH) learned a lot during this week both from Piken and Riverside and i want to thank both those servers.
Riverside is hands down the best defensive server we have ever faced and i mean it as a compliment:)
Piken well we allready knew the quality and skill of the Piken guilds and they certainly live up to their reputation.

Much respect to the PS guys that are fighting tonight at our borders. Some nice small scale battles, most of the PS guys were from SFRJ guild if i remember correct. Good job and /bow

Fair enough. As long as you acknowledge that morale being negatively affected by the siege bug is no different to our morale being affected by the crashes last week.

For the record my thoughts on last week were that it was fair; although not an accurate representation of what the scores would have been without the crashes. To say any different is very narrow sighted.

On a lighter note, I spent some time guesting in Gunnar’s LA… I guess you could say our alliance is getting pretty serious

Edit: Obviously, like you said, these are my opinions… I’m not speaking for RoS just as others from RoS and GoA don’t speak for me.

I think you just prove what kind of person you are and only that.
You lost just swallow it. We never came here to claim that since 2 day we cannot build siege at all we just fought with whatever we can afford.
You lost fair and square last week and even if your ego doesn’t let you understand it i am sure there are alot of sensible people at RoS who can make you to.

I’ve personnaly seen many servers, played against many too, but one thing is sure GH you have the worst community ever from an outside point of view…

i don’t care if you succefully win this matchup, i don’t care if you can’t handle yourselves to come here over and over to taunt/flame, you guys have a so high esteem of yourselves this is becoming ridiculous…

One thing is sure, this matchup is definitively boring, imo this is one of the worst matchup i’ve played, no guildplay, zerg rush, blobs everywhere, and kiddies arguing on forums…

You can take this like you want, but this is just my personnal opinions: this matchup sucks, and i’ve never seen yet a server with such rotten behaviours.

Congratz if you win this matchup (i really mean it, you had many motivated players this week), and i hope the new ladder system will make us never face you guys ever again…

I am not saying VoTF were bad or did not contribute… both after they left and before they arrived we were dominating the tier… The loss of the bulk of VcY to another game is the no.1 reason for more balanced match up this time.

That and the contribution that Fury have made to GH and the better organisation of some of the other GH guilds like PRXM and MARA…

Thanks for the praise but we’ve done very little this week regarding capping stuff and points, the improvement has come solely from the GH WvW community.

We’re having them, we just don’t keep coming on here to mention it. ArenaNet are aware of the issues, and there’s very little constantly harping on about it will do to make that go any quicker (unless you’ve got evidence to suggest the cause of it.)

It’s like a badly written comedy sketch, I’ll see a group go past towards an objective, and 2 minutes later I’ll see the same group go past again after DC’ing and having to run back. We just need the Benny Hill theme and it’s almost there.

maybe you guys think you have a lot of DC’ing but let me give you a little example:

Today GH came with 10 Omega golems 1 normal golem and like 30-40 players surrounding them like holy marry. first they took Bay without any problem or any resistance while we had 40+ players trying to spawn into our borderlands without any luck.
The thought “AWW well we give them that one” we managed to get 25 players to gather just at Garrison and not just 2 sec later when we all jsut gather * boom* 20 people dced.
then you guys came Garrison through the “Bravost Tower” which is strange because you ran from Hills all the way around to go by Bravost Tower to get to the North East gate to come in. (why not just take watergate? as none of us could get into Garrison) then you took the gate down with 10 golems without problems ofc. we ran with a 15+ zerg behind the golems. and * boom* we all get dced again while you guys ran in without problems.
And then you call that the same as everyone else? This morning DZ couldn’t even spawn into EB. while GH and RoS had easy 20-25+ group running around.

Maybe you guys think you have a lot of DC’ing but trust me all our members arn’t able to join a single borderland without being dced 5 times before we can get to a single tower.

Only borderlands where we have less problems is Eternal Battlegrounds. but when we have 25+ group going on people seem to get disconnected.
I’ve spoken to some of my old GH friends (as iam old GHer) and they confirmed to me that from their eyes it looks way more terrible on our side then on theirs.

But btw please explain me why did you guys attack north east gate of Garrison while you could have gone to the easiest gates of them all? all gates had no siege as none could get in.

But see it from our eyes instead of you “RoS are moaner” eyes. we was 14K ahead in points without problems after last night. and i know points are nothing. but most people seem to call this unfair atm. while you guys pretend nothing is really happening if it was other way around you guys would say all the same.

Ps. not mad at all at anyone. but some people on these forums just screw it up for their server while nothing bad is tended.

I am sorry that many people are having problems. It isn’t GH fault though.
Yesterday we had taken DZ keep at EB and suddenly all of us dc’ed and when we came online RoS have taken it, so you see those things happened to everyone.
The only time you had a 14k lead was tuesday morning after we cut the lead to 5k and we got heavily morningcapped.
Saying that you had “no problems” at all with us is way to much, as we have been dominating prime time every single day of the week, including the reset.
Imo we deserve to win even though wins with 10k-30k doesn’t mean much as that means that the matchup was really close and could have ended wither way.
Since you have been to GH i would have expected a little sympathy for the server and the people you played together.
Three weeks ago we lost to you guys by 200k i think and to my eyes being close to win or even loose by a small margin is not a small thing. I am really proud, no matter the result, about the way my server mates played at this game.
My respect to RoS and to DZ for this week and i hope next week the problems with crushes will be solved as it is unfair to everyone

Some of us have been on GH and seen their/your gameplay, but I think we can all agree that the current GH is not whakitten used to be. For the better!

@Genotix. I think the definition of a “fact” is that you can actually confirm it.
The bugs have been mighty annoying, we crashed every time we logged into EB spawn, we couldn’t enter Dz borderland nor get anywhere close to our own Bay.
Gunnar’s Hold have pulled an amazing week. The blobs in prime are getting to the point where the game lags out, but late prime we got some great fights (especially against Hot and FURY).
All in all, its been an alright week.

Thank you Mizu for the compliments about my guild (PRXM).
My guild mates have come a long road, and the few times i get to run with them at prime time, i am more and more amazed. Same goes to your guild even if i had my disagreements with some of your members about things said at the forums, i am impressed with your actual gameplay.
About the fact you mentioned, we knew about it 5 minutes after it happened

Anyways doesn’t matter much now as history is history.

Dont get confused over my post. I am talking about one commander and one incident. Not the entire week. I have been zergsurfing a lot at nights as I need karma for my second Incinerator and DZ did really attack both sides. Just not one night between 2AM and 6AM.

One of our premium guild leader, went to DZ teamspeak at 4.00 a.m and asked nicely to stop aatacking our borders since we had no people to defend and instead to attack RoS borders. Half an hour later, RoS borders was half blue and half red.

I have really enjoyed the last weeks against WSR and As, except those 2 days that i was alone during the mornings defending.
Things looks like we will tier up and things will go back to normal for you guys.

There’s no fun in this match up, GH has nothing to do in T8, this is obvious. A third server with the same level of AS or WSR would be more interesting.

Krosan, RoS has some guilds that have some issues with GH.
They were at our border 24/7, while the other server borders was basically untouched.
I don’t mind about that that is fair game i would have fought them even if i was alone, but for many people it wasn’t fun.
I can’t blame them for not wanting to play.
If RoS would have gotten only Vcy and Riot the story would have been different, but by the middle of first week the situation changed.
They got even more guilds and for many people it was pure frustration. Btw if we had KREW they would have lost the first match by the end of the weekend

The biggest problem here is that all GH speak of how Surmia is boring (domination, zerg, forum condescending…) when you are doing exactly the same 1 tier below them.

You can check the match up thread of last week and you will notice the difference.
When some people decide not to play because they don’t like to get stomped, you cannot accuse a whole server for throwing the match.
If the server decides to throw a match to manipulate the ladder then i personally will leave that server. I can assure you though that that isn’t the case here.
GH population, except a few hard core wvw players, is very volatile.
At our highest points we can face tier 5-6 servers at our primetime but on our lowest we are a tier 7-8 server, that is all:)

We hope to be out of your hair as soon as possible so you can go back to a balanced matchup.

Work yourself out of the pit from last rank on your own effort then we can talk about being outmanned. Sure we got transfers later on but we worked our kitten off to get out of that pit before that.
Until then you haven’t seen “outmanned”. Only Vabbi and FoW know how it is.

Your last post finally makes sense.
For what it means i personally don’t have a problem with you neither with any RoS player, afterall without opponents there is no game to enjoy.
I agree that matchup thread was ruined since the first day and at least the last 2 days we will be at this matchup we should keep this clean and stop provoking each other.
Afterall in 2-3 months nobody will remember the scores and we may face each other under different circumstances and it is not a good thing to hold grudge.
Maybe Nymeria you saved your best post for last:)
