I just now wanted my phantasmal warden to save my life by reflecting some nasty stuff… Realized it’s still bugged and coming here it seems they didn’t got it done so far =/
Hey there
My last post got deleted weeks ago, telling me to use the ingame bug report tool fur such stuff.
Since it seems my reports ingame aren’t recognized either I’ll try it here again…
For months now this issue existed in sPvP.
Maps don’t get reset at the exact moment where the game starts.
This means, everything that was destroyed (gates), captured for a team (cannon in skyhammer) within the last +-10sec before the game starts, will not be built up again/get neutral.
This is quite an issue in all tournament formats and I really don’t get how something like this can exist for such a long time.
Please, get that done already.
Are there any reasons at all why you won’t let us do any activitys with our guild/party/friends?
Some of them would be great fun, why those restrictions?
Thers great content, yet we don’t get the tools to acctually play it in a fun way.

PvE:
-Long term goals (asthetic). Fractal backpiece as an example
-Worthwile, repeatable challenges (asthetic rewards?)
-Possibility to play activitys with group/guild
Hey there
When I jump into sPvP with randoms, it’s always the same. Many of them don’t even know what those capture points are all about. If you’re not told how it works, conquest seems pretty unlogical and strange.
We have to capture points. What for? Because that gives points required to win. That’s it, no obvious logic like killing the enemy behind it.
This though isn’t meant as a flame thread. I’ve simply been thinking about the gametype since quite a while and would like to share some ideas I’ve got to change it, or maybe be added as another gametype. I like the current contest, but don’t see it as newcommer frendly and think it can be improved.
If we want a gametype that’s understandable for everyone, there has to be a logical, obvious goal. I’m sorry, but I don’t think that some numbers slowly counting upwards at the top of your screen are enough to reach this.
So let’s assume we have this goal and let’s say it is some sort of objective in or close to the enemys base. Like a Lord to kill, their home point to capture, destroying a Statue, whatever.
Since we already have the whole capture point mechanic, why not throw that in?
I’ve talked about having an obvious goal, meaning some sort of obvious, visible progression towards it over the duration of the game.
Having connected capture points would be a possible solution.
So as an example, first you got to capture your close point before mid can be contested, mid has to be your’s so you can contest the enemys close point. To prevent fights centered on a single spot over the whole game, have multiple Paths of capture points towards the enemy (2 or 3). Capturing a point could be combined with the opening of a gate or similar allowing access to specific (a little jumping puzzle to another capture point,…) or the next parts of the map, further giving meaning to the whole capturing.
Given the case both teams are equivalently strong and neither of them are able to push the final objective, the current capture and hold for points mechanic could still stay in place. Perhaps with the addition of gaining more points for capture points closer to the enemy.
To sum it all up: A map with 2 (maybe 3?) “Paths” of 3 capture points each. To contest the second one, the first has to be yours. To contest the third, you must own the second,…
Should you reach the enemys camp by controlling an entire “Path”, there is some sort of objective which can be completed for an instant win.
The capture points still award points which are a possible way of winning.
The game is over if either the final objective is completed, 15minutes are up or a team reaches 500points.
What do you think?

Have you tried using your shovel to try and big up bunnies that can kill you?
Dude, this bunny just saved me sooo much frustration in tribulation mode
Uhm. that’s quite weird to explain…
Normally when I turn the camera the cursor is kind of locked on the screen. So his position compared to the screen doesnt change when turning the camera.
Which is what i’m used to from every third person game i know
My issue now occurs after turning the camera. What I’d expect the cursor to do is stay in his position. So after turning I release the right mouse button and whoosh, the cursor instantly get’s placed wherever I moved with the mouse while turning.
Or in other words: When turning the camery my cursor doesn’t update it’s position which is normal, as soon as the turning is finished he get’s placed where i’ve moved my mouse
Hey there
Since some days my ingame cursor “hops” around when I release the left or usually the right mouse button after turning the camera.
Meaning that he instantly moves to the position where he theoretically would be if turning the camera wouldn’t fix its position.
This is incredibly annoying, i’m constantly searching my cursor, accidently move out of my windowed game,…
Restarting sometimes helps, but usually only for some seconds before the problem occurs again.
Btw. this doesn’t happen sometimes, after happening once it’s what happens whenever I release my mouse buttons ingame
I don’t experience similar uissues while not playing GW2.
My mouse is a Logitech G500 and about 2months old.
Little update: This starts happening as soon as I pressed any key on my keyboard after starting the game. Before that, turning the camera works perfectly fine.
Also doesn’t seem mouse related, have the same issue when using my razer lachesis mouse.
Keyboard is a Logitech G710

My game just crashed when trying to sell an item in the auction house.
Happened after right clicking it in my inventory and choosing sell at traiding post. During those unfortunately usual long waiting times which follow I deposited the item.
Surprisingly it still showed up in my traiding post window, selling crashed my game.
Pretty please add those effects to all the weapons. I’m a tiny little asura and noone will ever notice my pistol if there’s not something extra to it.
Those skins look nice, but the effects are what makes them great. So please, this already exists on some weapons, add it to all of those zenith skins.

This is soooooo bad. Why not just let F be used as aoe loot when normal looting is what pressing f would do?
Great for you if he started spamming at 50%. for me this usually happens at around 75%
I welcome such content which is challenging to complete.
There’s one issue… This isn’t a challenge, it’s plain luck. If you’re not lucky he’ll just spam his special ability meaning you can’t belch. Meaning there’s no way to win
This is simply horriffic. Doing this over and over again with a tiny chance of him for one not spamming his stupid ability…
Why can those npc’s even spam theyr special stuff? That’s not fun nor interesting, just plain luck
A guildmate just got the above mentioned gift of the dragonbash after logging to a twink, I got mine shortly afterwards when porting to LA.
As far as I know this should be rewarded after watching the next weekend upcoming fireworks
A pretty…. not so cool looking gauntlet as a reward for completing all those achievements. That’s quite underwhelming to be honest :O
Same on Kodash
If we have to complete those achievements first, how do you complete rage against the war machine?
I’m really enyoing keg brawl. Today I managed to get my guildmates playing it with me…
Oh, wait. I got em to play it, but there’s no way to play with the people you’d want to.
This minigame has serious potential. Due to the lack of possibilitys in choosing a server or creating custom games with self picked people it simply isn’t playable with friends.
Hmm, creating custom games. Reminds me of the upcoming custom PvP arenas…
Could we pretty please get the option to play keg brawl in our custom arena?
I love community driven “events” and stuff. With Keg Brawl we have a great thing at our hands, but the options to acctually use it aren’t available. So please. Give us a way to play with our friends. As I said, those custom arenas look like a pretty good and easy way to implement this. I wouldn’t mind if it’s done in another way, but please let us play that stuff and don’t restrict us by missing things like joining a specific game.
how do you defeat that bunny? let him eat his own carrots?
you guys are insanely quick. i’m strugeling on easy mode and not even caring about secrets
i got 6 hearts there. beeing hit always pushes me back —> now way i’ll make it through
EDIT: finally. always forget about kicking stuff^^

Rabbit? how do you even gat past a bloody frog?!
In the top right menu the dropdown on community is missing. I only see it when taking a look at the leaderboards
Hello
Thanks a lot for finally releasing those Leaderboards.
I’m really happy that something like that finally exists, but there’s one issue I and most certainly everyone else that’s not in the top 100 has. We don’t see our own rank.
While I can see the amount of achievement points needed to get into those top 100, I have no chance of getting there. 2k missing points is an awful lot on which I’ll never be able to catch up. This simply means that the current data won’t help me at all. Same thing with sPvP.
If I’d be able to see my own rank and the competitors around me, that would acctually make me inetrested in increasing my rank and give the leaderboards some meaning for myself.
There’s another thing I think would be awesome to have leaderboards for, which is guilds.
What about beeing able to see the guilds for every server, ranked by stuff like average influence gain per member, active member count, success with guild missions, progress with guild upgrades,..
Not only would this be a great place to figure out what’s going on guildwise on my server, it would also be an incentive to play with my guild and beeing successfull
Currently our only way to promote guilds is spaming map chats ingame and weekly pushing our post in the guild forum. Such a leaderboard wouldn’t only make newbies an easier way to find active guilds in a format that they’re looking for, it also would help the existing guilds in terms of having some nice competition, for small guilds a way to find partners for missions, instances whatever,…
The amount of usecases for this seems endless to me
Since the february patch the game most of the time is unplayable for me. I’m experiencing huge delays on everything I do.
The fact that I know tons of people with the same issues and that there also are tons of posts on this and the german forum about it, but still no official statement regarding this slowly makes me angry
Same issue here.
Got it +-30minutes ago for the first time, as then able to log in after several tries. Now i’m back out again getting this message (logged out due to a sound bug).
If I run the game with the “-diag” parameter it gets stuck on tracing network paths
My Mesmer main I’ve played since release.
He recently got a new hobby
(edited by Grax.9204)
First off, i recently got 3D Vision, tried it out with GW2 and I’m more than just amazed.
It overall looks really great, but there are some srange issues with it as well.
Here’s the list of what I’ve figured out so far:
- World completition star: While player names appear at the depth of the player they belong to, the world completition star is right in your face like glued to the screen. Getting forced to focus in and out sometimes pretty far due to that hurts the eyes quite badly
- Cursor/Interface depth: While the cursor is placed at some depth, the whole user interface isn’t placed at any depth at all. This is an issue, because the cursor get’s to the interfaces depth as soon as he hovers over it and flips back to his original depth when moving away. Due to that using the cursor gets painfull due to the huge amout of focusing you have to do.
The best solution i could think of so far would be to move the interface to the same depth the cursor has. Moving the cursor to the interfaces depth would be a pain due to the fact we would have to focus in and out no longer on interface interactions, but on every single time we move the cursor around in the actual game.
I’ve played for 1.5 hours now, am defeating the second “event” where there are tons of reinforcements. It’s just incredibly boring, waaaay to long and repetitive. I’m really sad, will go to bed now without even completing it
That’s the best case scenario, yes.
But this only works if the fractals will get incredibly hard, creating the wish to play on a lower level.
But then, where is this lower level where people think that they find the rewards ok and the difficulty as well?
If it’s the lowest level that would be quite surprising to me and also it would mean tons of flame that this dungeon is way to hard.
Hi there
I’m really looking forward to getting a new dungeon and what we’ve already seen of it looks quite exciting.
But there’s one concern I’m currently having abot the whole scaling mechanics.
As far as I know the difficulty of this dungeon gets harder every time you complete it, somewhen then requiring ascended gear to have any chance to succeed at all.
The difficulty will be set to the highest common attained level from all party members.
“as you hit higher and higher scales, the dungeon will get more and more rewarding”
I see quite some potential that this tears the playerbase appart, making it nearly impossible to find a party after a while if this is the first time you ever entered the fractals.
Why? Because the rewards will be smaller if you do the dungeon at this level, while you would get much more if you do it on the level you currently are as a player that finished it hundreds of times.
So experienced players won’t really want to play this with people that just hit 80 or aren’t even that far yet.
Hardcore players won’t really want to do it with experienced but only casual players and so on.
This reminds me of the current story mode dungeons. The reason to do them in explorable mode are the tokens. You don’t get them in story mode.
Did you ever try to find a random story group for something not so popular like sorrows embrace? On my server I wouldn’t try this on weekdays, if I’m lucky I propably can find one on weekends after quite some waiting. Why? Because there’s no reason at all to do them a second time (You can hope that your gildmates are kind enough to repeat this for you)
Now we get the fractals where there aren’t just 2 levels of difficulty/rewards, no, it’s bloody endless, creating tons of different progression levels, all without a real purpose in repeating the dungeon at a lower level.
I really have a bad feeling about this. Please tell me if I’m missing something
