I just bought the Poly refractor orange but i now have a quick question. Is there any trinket that does not become bound to a character so i can swap it across characters? Or can i salvage the trinket to get the poly refractor upgrade back?
@Rebound i think if you your speculation to be taken seriously you might want to stop using cabbages? the first 2 times its funny, after that it just becomes an annoyance to read.
Further whats up with them first talking to Centaurs and the second after they slaughter them? They look like peaceful maguuma peacekeepers to me, the ones you can also find in Dry Top.
Its about 300 years between the events of nightfall and the current living story, i dont know the life span of Centaurs but i doubt it reaches that far.
“Order of Whispers” is supposed to be a secret, i already dislike the fact they are so openly known across Tyria. In GW1 nobody knew of them, they were still a very secret organization.
I like it, ofcourse they must play in the living story. Would be cool if they would ‘save’ us in the airpact assault with ground forces taking out the artillery.
I might be misremembering, but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen Soure Doomsday use a Mesmer-y looking invisibility skill when you first meet him, giving him the purple-y translucent look of Mesmer invisibility skills. This was back during BWE1 though, so that might even have been changed.
Speaking of Charr and this so called “Mesmer Collective”, I would assume there to be no Charr in this organization, due to the very strict loyalty to the Legions that the Charr have. Sharing secrets with a Charr will likely mean that that information will be shared with other Charr for the interests of the Legions. Additionally Charr Mesmers in GW1 did not really use Illusion spells anyways, heavily favouring Domination, so its not like there would have already been a great deal of Illusion magic understanding existing in the Charr Legions anyways.
NPC’s are not bound to professions, they ofcourse are associated with one. But NPC’s can use any skill in the game, even from other professions.

Why our character along with the two ladies went to Durm. Priory to Glint’s lair to find the vision of the egg? I mean yes a dragon egg is kinda important.. but shouldn’t we be fighting more Mordrem things?
That egg will hatch into a dragon, and possible and Elder Dragon. Everybody wants to take this egg and make it an Ally. If we succeed in making it an ally for us than we have a MAJOR advantage to the elder dragons than we ever had before.
All depends on when that egg hatches and how fast it will grow, i dont assume its a full elder dragon a year after hatching ._.’
@GscGunner: yes we got 1 single Weapon token after killing Zhaitan with 0 new armor skins, at least in this we are getting 1 free armor skin each patch until the season ends so imo 1 weapon skin in Personal Story to 6 armor skins in living world i go with the armor skins its a better deal, but that is just my opinion

I checked your posts and you have been complaining about long downloading before. This is your second thread complaining about slow downloading and on your older thread you never ever responded. People were asking for your specs and internet speed yet you just completely ignored them and here on the next patch you complaing again. Sounds like you just want to blame and flame on something.
I guess this is actually a nice touch and if you want to push the tiers then you need it. Paying bandits to help protect you is in my opinion just a nice touch.

There is a book in the library where the author says there are no known connections between dragons and the gods. Not sure if this is AN way of saying yo good theories and all but its not it or just saying there is no connection found in-game yet?

I am 100% sure it’s not overheating but ofcourse i am willing to check how. I have a very good fan cooler on my CPU, EVGA air-cooled gtx 670 and 3 case fans. My desktop is build by myself, the case has a window and so far i can see no dust has been build up and i cleaned the entire PC 2 months ago.
So how do i check for overheating? I am pretty sure its not that but i can at least test it.
Lately i keep crashing more and more, but the weird part is this only happens WvW. Normally i wouldn’t really bother with it but since i crash about once a 2 hours in WvW and then have to go in a 40 queue again is not my defination of fun.
I am playing on FSP, i have very good internet which is not the problem. What can i do or try to solve this? its getting frustrating.
What? the humana gods didnt want to exterminate the Charr race. Its true that when they stepped on tyria the first time they chased away the charr living in some areas. Later Melandru (could be dwayna) tried to make peace with the Charrs after they pushed them out on some areas on Tyria but they wanted war. Since then humans and charrs have been at war. NOTHING states that the gods wanted to “exterminate” the charr race.
I wonder if Anet just put in that letter and decided to let the community figure out a name and then base the real name on that to be lazy? :P
I think i would appreciate a community chosen name, or at least like a part of it. Then AN can wrap around the stuff where the name actually came from etc etc. i really wouldn’t mind and would only show their communication and dedication to the forums.
I don’t see any connections with the stone and maps. I hope there is a connection but i doubt it. Btw i can see a chickens head carved into one of the circles on the stone
Isn’t it so that the Gods can take over each others aspects when needed? I believe Grenth took over Water (and renamed it Ice) when Abaddon was cast down. (A quick search didn’t turn up any written proof though, so correct me if I’m wrong)
Taking that into account, shouldn’t any attempt to connect the Gods to the Elder Dragons start with the original Gods? At the very least Grenth and Kormir had predecessors that we know of, there could be more hidden in history.
(Not taking a stand on whether there is a connection, I just think the current discussion shouldn’t be about things that are known to have changed relatively recent)
If we are going to look at predecessor then we might aswell look at Arachnia the predecssor of Abaddon. An insectoid god because why not.
There are multiple scythe’s in the game,. The halloween one which is actually a staff and the primordus one which you can’t obtain but you can preview in the wardrobe bank. And there is another scythe used as a staff cant recall the name but the blade is made out of batwings.
@DaMunky they already stated why the content is the same, do a little of research before you make fun of them especially since they do such an amazing job.
You are definately right in some of your statements i think, and i barely play PvP thus can’t discuss this with you nor create anymore arguments. Lets just hope this will be brought under developer attention and prioritized which i doubt for a while since there is a explosion of problems primarely with servers atm. Bloonis please stop the toxic behaviour, just because they don’t communicate specificly to you does not mean they are not working on it. They already stated they are aware of the issue and doing everything they can to fix it as soon as possible.
when out of a 40 man zerg in wvw 30 dc at the same time, you know it’s not a minority issue.
Notice the “Could be”. And does your WvW zerg regulary DC or did it just happen once? … I also had a zerg DC from WvW once in my entire playtime, i can’t address that as an issue but if that happens to you regular ..
Exactly, we need your specs. Also i would expect main computers to have a overheat detection. If in any case my PC is about to overheat it will start beeping and it it will start to cause damage shut itself down.
As far as i know people are abusing Custom Arena’s to farm PvP experience to gain levels, i assume this is also the case for reward tracks. If what i am saying is correct I don’t expect nor do in my opinion want a fix for this.
Good observation i did not think about that, i think that this trinket upgrade that changes your appearance is a good idea and as you can see its new, has its flaws and AN is testing with it which i think is great. If i were you i wouldn’t expect anything soon since this priority is very low especially with the server problems atm. Good luck!
(There are also “Hylek Hue Potions” maybe that will work in PvP?, also growth tonic!)
Now lets bring in some good news, my FPS has increased since patch. Just wanted to make note that the FPS has not dropped for everybody, loading times on the other hand..
You are not allowed to mention another person information. If a person is abusing a flaw in the game, hacking, spammming etc he or she should be reported. Name shaming is NOT appreciated.
There have been threads about the “inaccessible” cliff on the map and i am sure AN is working on it or at least have taken note, there is no need for name-shaming a person which is also against forum rules.
