Just to answer a few things I find valid to respond to:

Fiendish Puppy: I understand what you mean about being shy or the frustration of trolls and ignorance. However you just have to find people that aren’t like that. Or if you are shy, you are free not to talk rather than just listen to directions. Our guild has over 700members now(two guilds), and have almost 200+ of them on Teamspeak at once, and there is never any rude talk, trolling, etc. We handle it immediately and we also allow people the choosing of not talking if they don’t want. We use Teamspeak as a source of help, not mandatory to use or get on. It can help though, alot.

Flameseeker: I understand that it has been a year since they’ve added something this hard, and it seems a bit late. Now is better than never, so we can argue it’s too late all day or organize like a lot of the community has been doing. I disagree when you say some classes are useless as we’ve fought and BEAT this boss many times and EVERY class provides great help. OVERFLOW: It can be great actually if used in an organized manner like my guild TTS does. We go to an empty overflow, and invite all our guildies there and beat it almost every single time.

Everything shouldn’t be scaled to cater you. Sometimes the odds are SUPPOSED to be against you. You will have to lose sometimes just like in life. They are making this “living world” so you need to realize not everything can be scaled. If it’s scaled then 10 people should be able to beat it <<< that is just stupid. A hard boss that 10 people can beat? Nope, sorry not gonna happen.

You can’t blame ANET for the issue of others computers. This is a HUGE MMO, they cater enough to the players. This sounds elitist but it isn’t. Do movies cater to people that can’t afford HD tv’s? Nope. Do five star restaurants cater to poor people? NOPE. This game should cater to the people who are able to play it, as sad as that may seem. They are a business like any other and to succeed they need to cater to what the game takes to get the good graphics and gameplay. If you cater to everyone, this game won’t ever progress.

I don’t think so to be honest. However one of our leaders IS on Oceanic time and is working to make either the second or third(upcoming) guild, an Oceanic section to where that guild will be fighting their raids ON Oceanic times.

WOW! This second guild is growing just as rapidly! We now have two FULL overflows that are FULL of TTS members taking down Tequatl! So don’t think just because you are in the second guild that you won’t be taken as seriously! We have leaders in each guild directing their own Overflows to make sure you get your slayings done!

Also, for questions above… yes we do use Teamspeak, it is not required but highly recommended even if you don’t have a mic just so you can listen to instructions closely.

What guilds make you pay to get their service? Never EVER join something like that. If you want help and are on a US server. Join us at [TTS] – Tequatl Terror Squad. We will NEVER ask you to pay for anything. We want everyone to have fun and slay this beast and future beasts together organized.

People do that stuff? That is sad. Join [TTS], we will never ask for any payment of any kind for you to join or to get help from us… we won’t ask for payment for anything lol.

I don’t think external things as TS3 or vent, raidcall, etc. are a bad thing at all. I don’t understand why people are against using them. Even if you don’t have a mic, you can listen in. This is an MMO so in order to coordinate and organize that many people things like TS3, etc. are of great use. What they should DO is implement a voicechat in game that people can use, so they don’t need the external download of another program. Even if they don’t, using an external program really isn’t an issue in my opinion.

Just as a reminder we are a US/NA cross-server guild. We are NOT a EU guild by any means, sorry if there has been some confusion with some people. While we do fight in just Overflows, EU players are still not able to join/guest to us.

Tequatl event is exactly what Anet wants from us(my opinion of course). They want us to band together as communities rather than be so elite and pushed off one another. They want us to be a true Living World where even though you might not always be friends or guildies, but you can band up in a time of need to slay a boss that takes organization and help of one another.

Of course pug maps aren’t gonna complete it. You know just as much as I do, an overflow or map full of pugs just yell at each other rather than band up to help one another. That is the reason people fail and can’t beat it, no other reason.

My proof? I recently built [TTS] which I’m very proud of and it is still MASSIVELY growing. We have beaten him multiple times, we are from many different US servers who meet up on an overflow together and beat this at organized times. We organize certain areas for certain people to be at during the fight and get things done in a very easy way. I suggest you all that complain about this, do the same. Start a boss killing guild, join one if you don’t want to start one.

I thought the same thing when it first started on how hard it was and annoying it could be. However, now that we do this organized Tequatl almost seems….easy. It just takes organization and knowing what you are doing. Spamming 1 on his feet won’t cut it. Look at the one group who did it and had 7:15 on their timer left. If they can do that, then you can beat it too! I’d say stop complaining and start figuring out how to get more organized everyone!

This isn’t a rant or a post to argue, rather than encourage people to do great with a boss that CAN be so much fun if you do it correctly. You can argue that “why should I have to organize to beat something to get my achievements?”… Well…. this is an MMO meaning, MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER ONLINE, in terms means there are going to be events in any MMO that require people to join together. Not every piece of content is for individual play, this isn’t that kind of game. There has been a ton of individual content already so having something like this to me is awesome because it makes us band together for once.

NOTE FOR EVERYONE! When the second guild builds to about 100-150 members, we will be splitting the time raids of each of the two [TTS] guilds into different timezones of raiding Tequatl and future bosses so we can cover more time zones for people! So in our hopes that we someday have 2-5 guilds, all of them will raid at different times… and people can switch to the one according to their optimum play time. So don’t worry, we have a lot in the works for you all! For now the second guild will be following the first guild into raids until their is enough for it to split off into it’s own raids and raid times. We have killed him numerous times and we still have open spots. A second guild will be in the making soon. We are very organized and we know what we are doing to kill tequatl pretty easily. We have a site building and more. This guild is growing into more than just killing tequatl. We will stay organized and kill any hard bosses ANet decides to throw at us.

Our system is working just fine but thanks. We’ve beaten him now numerous times as an organized guild. If we just have every pug coming to where we are then it is not as organized. A simple being in the guild and listening to close instructions is what gets us to kill requests pretty successfully and easily. So join or not, your choice.

Not only did we kill it, but a second group of the guild that was unable to get in the overflow we were in, organized in another overflow and beat it too.

It is far from impossible lol. Many servers and overflows have beaten it so how can you call it impossible or even remotely very difficult? Organization is the key.

I’m not yelling at anyone, and I don’t think anyone plays to hear nerds yelling at other nerds, that would be nerdy.

I agree there is alot of “know it alls” but that isn’t a content problem, that is a community issue. Can’t blame anet for how the community reacts.

These negative posts about the hate for Tequatl are exhausted. Get over it, many servers and even OVERFLOWS have beaten it, multiple times. That means the content isn’t that hard, you just dislike hard content and people wouldn’t have made their negative posts if they were in one of the successful runs of killing Tequatl. I’m over reading these negative posts, if you don’t like hard content go play Pac Man. Welcome to MMO’s. I’m not gonna respond to this or feed into the trolls of this post, or any of these kinds of posts any longer. If you want to beat this, do what I’m doing start an organized group, etc. Whining about it doesn’t change anything. If it gets nerfed all the qq kids are gonna be the blame for making a fun challenging event into another daycare event where you just whine to get what you want.

You have to realize something as a whole. Smaller communites are only getting larger by the day. This is the fastest selling MMO of all time, meaning your “low population server” is only getting bigger. So instead of qq’ing about your low pop server, start making friends and band up with people and organize to kill this beast. Or better yet, get into an Overflow and beat it.

It is annoying yes, it is frustrating yes. That is the point of a true MMO, it’s to provide emotion and make you feel like you ARE a part of this “living world”. If it’s all smiles and dulfy.net easy guides(sorry dulfy I do like your guides sometimes), then what is the point of playing? It is all said and done for you. Get over it, band up and beat this beast!

:UPDATE:
We are having a website being made for this now as we are getting huge. We also have a new leader, and possibly 2 more leaders in the works. We have a Teamspeak still being worked on(upgraded), and a vent being worked on as a backup.

This guild is getting huge and major attention and we can’t thank you all enough for the response we are getting. Your patience has been wonderful, and we all want to kill that kittenly beast TEQUATL.
