Reborn, for experienced mesmer its not a problem.
Most of the time you can see the leader in the middle of fight or just after the first push, most guilds dont use veil after first push.
Nothing more funnier than moa enemy commander when he is trying to make the second push. Most commanders dont expect that.

Ive played ele in WvW for a looooong time but have never thougth about that. could be good when defending to just jump down in front of the gate.

Warrior trait will just knockback enemies, one friend was just for fun jumping on the gate all the time and knockingback guys from rams.

Anyone remembering when Mesmer traited falling was doing like gazillion of damage? All those jumping mesmers was fun.
Anet should do it again.

Imagine all those wvw players jumping from cliffs to kill enemies.

I started to play mesmer again. One thing I noticed is that my skill nr2 and skill nr 3 are not working. I can click on it how I can but not even that flashy animation on skill is there.
I tried even on my second accoutn and its the same on both my accounts.
I tried to use hotkey, i tried to manually click on the skill.
I tried in PvE,sPvP and WvW.
Nothing works.

EOTM did not helped against queues and server balance. Now when there are queues players just go to EOTM. Before EOTM they thought about transfers to not stacked servers, but now its not really needed.
Payed transfers based on WvW population! with deleting of EOTM would help to balance servers because nobody would like to wait in queue.
But deleting EOTM is not an option because karma train is bigger than all wvw players.

- AoE cap is needed because of performance
- Siegerazer, just update this to not be able to spam it. Give it at least 30 mins timeout
- should be changed by how many enemy players are in range of lets say 3000. and by damage they made. 1 palyer taging – no swords, 25 players and 1 ram – 5 second swords
-no just rethink upgrading and let gates to fortify too. So gates and walls wont be different upgrade, but it will be tier of fortification/reinforcing
-Siege disablers are good, just timer on siege is needed. If disabled, for next 30 secs cant be disabled again
- swirling winds, i dont know what you mean here
- oh yeah matchup threads
- orange should be lowered to 20 players, but not less
- those stacks are actually quite good and i take them as benefit to veteran players
- Ruins needs rethink, they are pointless

I have to say I’m quite disappointed in the WvW community being unable to run reflect rotations.

Lets talk about this.
Attackers will place 2 rams on gate and run reflect rotations. Because there is not much mesmers and eles, they will probably go with guardian Wall of Reflection.
Defenders will drop siege disabler on inner side of gate. If defender is not stupid he will throw it on ground just in front of gate.
This will result in disabling rams because just the throw can be reflected not effect itself.

Somebody may like the change someone may not. Its a matter of taste.
But amateurism of the change is a big deal.
Map not updated, bridge is still there, just depends on angle of view.
This is what bothers me much. Devs probably have some editor in which they are doing the changes.
But it seems like no dev can repair or delete older, they only know how to add new.

Its the same as WvW achivements, they dont know how to change old ones, they dont know how to delete them but they know how to make new ones.
Same for the bridge, its still there just covered with new textures. Btw from one place on the bridge you can jump down and jump into this new added ground.

While this may encourage small groups the effect will be that this will encourage blobs.
Small group is dependant on supply to build few rams to get down gate.
Blob will come to keep, build 5 rams, gate will go down fast and all this without any alert.
For populated servers like SFR or Gandara its not a problem because most the time they have people almost everywhere.
But for lower populated servers where is a problem to gather 40 man blob to counter enemy blob, and then those players wont scout, it will be a problem.
Big problem.

I see sometimes keep contested, ask for info, and reply is that someone is running there. Its not that lower populated servers have scouts in every keep,every tower, running every doly. Most the time there are 2-3 scouts that are willing to run fast to contested structure.

Why do everybody think those guilds and players from T1 will spread on other servers? Those players are on T1 because they wanted to stack up.
In less than month there will be another “t1” stacked servers.

Limitations, well on T1 servers sometimes you will be able to hit limit, but not on lower rank servers. I play on RoF and limit would need to be pretty low so we can hit it.

Matchup is fight between 3 servers. In tournaments leagues are locked and nobody from bronze can fight server from silver.
Making league of 8 servers wont work because of mathematics.

Azizul it wont be extreme. When outnumbered you mostly dont have any chance to fight because enemy outblobs you.
And because much smaller force needs to fight blob, msot the time without any chance, it means they will give give points to enemy blob.
Remember, if at least one guild group with 25 players is on borderland most of the time you wont be outnumbered.

Server merge for low populated servers

EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. a server is bandwagooned ?

(see RoF multiple times, Bt last time, RoS before that, and so on and so on, and so on).

Only once in GW2 lifetime we had guilds incomming. 4 guilds joined us before Season 2 and 7 guilds left after Season 2. Nextime please check your informations sooner than you write anything.

But Anet should change gems for transfers.
I suggest to start with free transfers to last server and increasing price by 100 by every rank.
This way T1 wil cost more than 2000 and Bronze less than 1000.

Ross Biddle it sounds good but you forgot some tickets for scouts. If I am to sit in tower or keep for a hour becausescouting is needed too with these superior sieges and masteries, I deserve something too.

Scoring Discussion

I’m wondering what the result would be if we simply went with this:

1. You get points for taking an objective (more points if it’s upgraded)
2. You get points for defending an objective (less points if it’s upgraded)
3. You DO NOT get points for holding an objective
4. You get points for upgrading an objective

This would result in a servers points only going up when they have people playing and nobody can earn a massive amount of points for passively owning something.

This system would only require a rebalance of the point system. I’m sure Anet could monitor a few server matchups and come up with something.

Thoughts?

This would actually lead to:
1) fully fortified keeps not touched for week will not grant any points
2) matches will be really close, because most of the points will come from recapturing and stomping
3)small server with skilled players may actually get matched against much larger one
4)that will also mean that complete blowouts

But I think blowouts will be only for few weeks until scoring will be adjusted, for example those defending events should trigger only when gate reach less than 50% of health, to prevent tagging. Or they might be distributed with 1 point to each player for defending event, even now you get some XP it might give you 1 point.

Nah I checked that several times. “At this time, we are unable to fulfill your request” is the reason why I did not got any refund.
They just dont care.
But I admit its my bad I did not made video before patch where i relog all my toons and show commander tag. At least I would have proof. Now its jsut a matter of support if they have tools to access database backup, or to check any info , and the worst thing is if they even want to bother with such thing. You know they have much more important things to do.

Well Bartas while players and devs knows its a problem of servers and server connection only NCsoft is able to solve this.
Until NCsoft will want to solve this, devs cant do anything and will keep you testing your connection.
And thanks to how internet works, there will always be some packet loss in your connection. So devs will always find the source as your conenction.

Based on the responses from technical support I am not joking. I even send them a video of my guild where 25 people start to lag at exact same time, still they replied that its fault of my connection.

Cheese, I am 100% sure thats its a problem of your ISP. In no way this is a problem of Anet and their servers. It does not matter that you lag with 10000 other people at same time. Its a problem of your all ISPs.

I really can undestand how Anet support is not helpfull. I made a ticket with map wide lag, I pasted video there I recorded. If they would watch it at least once they would not respond me its my PC or connection problem.

Seems like you really understand IT infrastructure.
And you are probably convinced that those IP addresses you traced are not on some firewall but are directly on LAN cable plugged in 1 server.
Are you familiar with VLAN?

Because you can trace single website, you can trace smaller server, but tracing servers like game servers hosted in some really and I mean really big underground hosting facility is completelly different.
Specially when the company need to use VLANs and VPNs to have everything, even when its in reality on other continent, like in one single office.
And trust me, I am managing for my company something similiar just between my country and Turkey. And while those guys in Turkey are located in Turkey and using thier own internet to the world they appears as they are in other country.
You know, something like proxy but in larger scale and not only for browser.(VPN).
But because they are not a part of my country we are using VLAN for better network identification.
And this is probably the same what NCSoft is doing. Just in bigger scale than us and for difefrent purpose.

And thanks to this, the only thing how you can see how far the servers are is by ping. That wont reveal you location of those servers, but you because you probably understand IT, you already know that having ping less than 200ms from NA to EU is really rare. And look on EU servers you have ping like 70ms. Even from EDGE conenction on mobile phone. That is wierd. Either those servers are not on other continent or NCsoft is breaking physical laws.

maybe not in Frankfurt but i am sure they are in Europe on Telia network.
You know the thing is while those IP with basic tracing may seems like in NA, you need to apply logic on results.
Results of tracing IP of my server, Ring of Fire, is about 70ms from Czech Republic.
There is not way how 70ms can be in NA.

And because I am familiar with basic networking i know Telia is making virtual networks for customers, thats why you can see after Telia network there is directly ncsoft.com network.
And to be fair I dont see how ncsoft is managing transatlantic connection, because Telia network ends somewhere in Switzerland.

Hello,
I got ticket 893500. I had at least 5 commander tags, i received no refund.
Last reply is 3 days old saying: everybody got refund at 12.9.
I did not transfered, i dint used any name change, i did not deleted any of my commander tag characters.
I had tag on: Zabijak Zergu, Enemy zerg, hule, hulec, hulec and I am not sure if on Hulep too or not, i was not playing this character for longer time.

Possible solution: refund only 2 or more tags if they were bought more than 30 days in past.
I had 5-6 tags, most of them bought last year. Yes those palyers that bought just 1 tag last week spend much less for account bound commander tag and of course its much easier to earn 100gold now then 1 year ago.

stomping works but you need to let go of the camera button (mouse2). it’s been a weird morning: “I got the stomp! nop, sorry, was still right clicking!” .
think the look bhind button also messes it up.

This dont work. I cant even repair, i was going slowly to damaged wall just hitting my W key. When I was near wall I needed to wait 5 seconds standing still, and finally option to repair wall appeared.

ACs don’t require the same line of sight as most sieges do… You can hit through gates and walls as long you can click to shoot.

Probably not, I tried today. I was at Lake tower and I have built one AC a little to left from gate. I was not able to hit normally I needed Line of sight. So I was hitting just half of gate.

This tool have its issues but I think its good.
One of most annoying issues is that if Ac is palced from below on the wall, you know it looks like its not on wall but in air, then this tool wont reach this AC.
Or if the AC is on stairs leading to wall, tool wont affect it.

Necromancer – can stomp only from wierd angle, took a while to find that angle
