I’m not sure if this has been suggested, though I believe it has even though i didn’t find anything through the search. But I was wondering if there was way/will ever be a way to merge guilds. Currently, I run a small guild with friends and some others I met in-game. However, I’ve also met many nice folks (2 of which own their own guilds) and we’ve talked about how nice it would be if we could merge. We figured we’d just make a new guild together, but that comes with several problems:
1. Influence: A new guild means that we will be starting over at zero influence, which is really disheartening.
2. Upgrades: Same as above, they will be completely reset.
3. Deluxe Items: One of my buddies has a deluxe edition and has the benefits on his current guild. Of course, a new guild would mean that those benefits/items or whatever it is will not be there. (I’m not quite certain what you get from it, but I’d rather not take him away from what he rightfully paid for.)
Anyhow, I was just wondering if something like this would ever become possible seeing as there were Alliances in gw1. And to my knowledge, they were somewhat similar to this. I’m not sure how this may be implemented, but I’d love for this to be an option.
I believe that is the client version.
I’ve never had MF be a problem in a dungeon, whether if it was me or dungeon mates wearing MF. I can see how it can be a hindrance to the team, but the players are most likely just not that good. I’ve led a team through dungeons several times wearing MF gear and I’m certain people I’ve played with also had MF gear which all ended as clean and quick runs.
If the problem is the players, why not just ask them to not wear MF gear nicely. If anyone asks me to switch up my gear, I’d be more than happy to since its my alternate set. I realize not everyone carries a second set, but it doesn’t hurt to ask them to switch it up. If not, just tell them sorry and that you’d feel better with a more useful stat combat-wise. The community is fairly nice as far as I know, most people I’ve talked to are quite nice o.o
aw I’m sorry man. I went back and literally had them as not completed. I hope you find them. I’d check around cities first as you seem to have gotten all waypoints and hearts, meaning most likely you didn’t miss anything in any map except for cities. All the best mate!
15 mesmers and BAM. Your litter zerg just became 45 cloneman warfare.
60 counting yourself :P its 3 clones per mesmer + the actual mesmer yes?
Go to The Grove, home city of the Sylvari just incase you can’t recall which that is. That might be the case, I had to re-complete it for some reason and apparently there was a bug awhile back in which people had to go back there as well. I was missing exactly 3 vistas as well, but more POIs than you.
Wha, they don’t show? o.o That’s terrible! I suggest you hold on to it still, who knows…the devs may change it so you can do something else with it seeing as there are quite a few people who have more than one.
Instead of destroying or selling for 3 silver (which I hope you hven’t yet), if you ever get 2 more exotic accessories you don’t want to use that are the same level. I suggest throwing them in the forge with a donation package for 2000 of those medals. At least you’ll be getting something out of it. That’s 7 black lion keys.
I know this may not be the best answer of what to do with it, but its something..
This is most definitely vengeance as posted by lavra. You aren’t traited for Sweet Revenge so you don’t rally after Vengeance. You’re using your 3 downed skill and dying 15 seconds later.
How could I forget. I like to say I play quite aggressively, but in WvW more balanced. I use it for PvE, WvW zergs, and WvW skirmishes. I think I would prefer more defensive runes rather than offense.
I was looking at Rune of the Monk, Water, and liked that Guardian gave Healing and Toughness. I’m not sure if I want to prioritize boon duration or toughness. I feel that I definitely want more healing power though.
lolol I wouldn’t doubt it! XD well here’s hoping to a bit of insight.
tough decision but the attunement recharge and healing ripple makes me want to keep it.
So I’ve been looking around and am still having trouble deciding my rune set. I figured I’d make a topic to save myself some trouble and get some more insight directly.
I have been playing D/D 0/10/0/30/30 for quite awhile now and currently am using an armor set of Power/Vitality/Toughness. Jewels I haven’t decided yet, currently I’ve a mix of things powering those stats as well but I plan to change it. Even with the Evasive Arcana nerf recently I still very much enjoy this style of play and will adapt to it. We may be weaker, but we’ve been playing since we were ‘weak’ anyways.
Anyhow, advice would be lovely. Of course, I’ve been looking to runes in the toughness/healing but I am open to all suggestions.
I’d go with power, if you have no +condition damage, no need to balance it out. It just means you’re not condition focused, get some power on that.
And not to hijack your topic, but I’ve a question about sigils as well. Seeing as I have two that activate on swap and I just found out that only one works (because I didn’t look it up beforehand
), what would be a good replacement. Perhaps the +power as well? Currently I have Energy (+50% endurance on swap) and Battle (3 stacks of might on swap).
Oh and lolol at your name TC. :P
(edited by Moderator)
aw, then I suppose I should switch out one of them for something else. Guess I’ll go searching around. Oh and thanks
Alright, I’ve a question about how these work exactly. I hear that if you run two sigils that activate on swap, one of them gets overridden. Same with different stacks and all that, is this true?
If I equipped a sigil of battle (3 stacks of might on swap) and energy (+50% endurance on swap), will one of them not work? It feels that way to me and least and I wanted to make sure before I get rid of one of them. Wasted gold, but meh. Guess I should’ve looked around and asked before getting both.
D/D Bunker is an attrition build, it is designed to wear people down, that is the whole rationale behind the build. People are wrongly saying that they are fine with a nerf to D/D builds if they buff other areas, well unless they significantly buff our base health and toughness we will STILL be in a poor place compared to other professions.
Wanted to address this the most. I for one recognize how D/D works, and I did say I would be fine with a nerf if other areas were buffed. What I meant was not that I’d be fine on the battlefield as obviously it’d be much tougher to last as you mentioned. I meant that I’d be okay with looking around and testing for another build based on what was buffed. Be it bunker or not, I wouldn’t mind testing other things out.
Otherwise, I agree with most of what you said. ^^
If we do get a nerf and don’t get a buff to compensate, then I will probably keep playing my ele anyways XP I’ve also got my first character to play just in case they somehow make ele boring (though I doubt it, I for some reason enjoy having to put in more effort). Incidently, my first was a mesmer XD
However, I been seeing lots of complaints about how tough it is to kill and that we last too long to fight 1v2s and 1v3s and whatnot.
Since putting all points in defensive traits should not have the benefit of lasting long in the battle…
What will happen if they ever fight a warrior with shield/mace/hammer combo + traits? (Doesn’t exist since GS No2 spam rules)
Exactly, we should be lasting long because be traited all our points to defense. I get the feeling people don’t like it that eles aren’t glass anymore.
I just have to ask. Who is complaining?
I’ve seen complaints around the WvW parts, and also ingame WvW. Unfortunately, I’m not in the habit of taking screens.
I’m completely fine if they make other builds more viable, I’m using the water/arcane line myself (as I’ve already stated) because it just helps me last. Initially did it for PvE because I felt like I needed the stats, but it works wonders in WvW.
But yes, buffs would definitely be nice so I can have some damage output rather than traiting one way because its the only way I can live. I definitely agree, if they nerf this build then they better buff another aspect of this class. This, however, isn’t what other classes have been thinking about us :P People getting annoyed at us D/D water/arcane or water/earth players.
I sure hope not, but I’m not really expecting buffs either. I feel comfortable where I am though, so I’m good with just bug fixes. However, I been seeing lots of complaints about how tough it is to kill and that we last too long to fight 1v2s and 1v3s and whatnot. Some people have called it hacks because they aren’t familiar with the type of build us D/D users have been using.
So I heard this was going on. This is true? I was just really starting to enjoy my 0/10/0/30/30 D/D ele.
I can understand it I guess, but still. >.>
Whoa, D/D eles getting popular? I’ve been playing D/D ele several times in WvW, only once against FA and ET due to exams and whatnot (I’m from Yak’s Bend). Using a very similar build as well o.o glad to see eles showing up
As soon as I have time to update some equips I’ve been looking for (I get the feeling those stats are from karma merchants or something), I will be joining my server more on the battlefield!
Oh my god, I hope it stays even (and that ET will comeback from what isn’t too big a gap). Last time we play FA was waaaaay back and we got stomped.
I know this may be obvious, but are you killing with that attunement? It isn’t based on usage, based on kills.
Bumping this thread. I’m tend to go to wvw when I get the chance with a buddy of mine and we’re loving the general atmosphere. Great people and commanders we’ve played with (mostly Subtle, juicifruitz, Spetrix, and The Blind Man), though they may not know us as we’re not a wvw guild and probably don’t stand out. :P
Help in those timezones would be phenomenal, even if a little. Perhaps we really will move up and belong where we were placed.
I’ve listed my traits already. If you mean utilities, I switch it around. I use 2 of the following 3: Mist Form, Lightning Flash, Cleansing Fire coupled with Frost Bow because I love the thing even if I never see any other Elementalists using it. Sometimes I will switch up my stuff for maybe Arcane Shield or Wave, more Shield usage though.
For accessories, I have 2 Beryl, 2 Emerald, and 1 Ruby. All exotics.
Oh and yes, I very much love this build.
I see lots of varying builds for D/D that can tank. I just jumped into world earlier this night with my Elementalist with a build similar and I must say I’m very much enjoying it.
Currently, my trait setup is 0/10/0/30/30
Air: Zephyr’s Boon
Water: Cleansing Wave, Soothing Disruption, Cleansing Water
Arcane: Elemental Attunement, Renewing Stamina, Evasive Arcana
My armor is all exotic Knight’s armor (Power, Precision, Toughness) though maybe I should’ve went for Cleric’s set. My jewels are kinda mixed around considering I made jewels to boost my vitality initially until I felt it was at a good number (17-18k I believe it was). Then I started adding some power and toughness as well for fear that I wouldn’t be able to last too long on the battlefield.
I’m sure people have better builds than me, but I feel this working out pretty well when I play. At least, good enough for any skirmishes that end up as 2v1 or fighting those darned Thieves that stealth for ages.
While I’m sure that before the transfers happened we would have had a hell of a fight on our hands against you and Sorrows Furnace, everyone is just tired of being overwhelmed.
Could you elaborate? I wasn’t aware of us getting transfers, but rather SoR getting transfers when we were already on even footing with them the last match before those transfers. Our numbers simply don’t allow the battle to be good (relative to this match) because we got stomped before where we were vastly outnumbered and fell through the tiers.
I’m not exactly sure myself, but several dozen players have said they’ve seen guilds from GoM on Yak’s Bend. As I have not been paying any attention to guilds since I’ve started, I can’t confirm, but the general consensus I’ve gotten is that several guilds transferred to YB simply to win.
As I said, I’m not sure, but it’s nice to know most YB players are not the royal d-bags I’ve had to deal with today.
Oh is that so? I suppose that could be very possible, does to any server winning to my knowledge. :/ Every server has got their coattail riders and whatnot, same with the d-bags and honorable players.
Let’s just hope its more on the honorable side.

Also, I’m very sorry to hear of the poor behavior of those campers. :/ Though this is coming from someone who just plays in WvW from time to time and am probably not even known among my servers’ WvW regulars. I was really just hoping for a match like 2 weeks ago.
Hey Yaks…
It shows what kind of players you have when you mortar the GOM spawn area in Eternal Battlegrounds.
Im not saying all of you do it but these same players that spawn kill will be the ones that abandon you if you get matched to better teams.
It’s been said many times already that we have these players. I’ve seen the commanders ask them many times to stop, but they won’t listen. It’s sad really, they have nothing else to do but want to PvP and know that’s where they’ll get it.
If this is so, then so be it. It’ll be good if they leave us, we don’t want those kinds of players anyways.
