Would you buy the next expansion? Why or why not.
Yes if the price to content ratio is good. If it’s something like a small lvl cap raise and 1 new explorable area it better be close to free if not free. Now if it’s something bigger like let’s say a 5-10 lvl cap raise, new race, new proffesion, new explorable areas, new dungeons with new armor, new weapon skins, new weapons(I’m looking at you two-handed axe) which will also come with new weapon skills, new utility skills and at least 1-2 new elite skills per class. Basically everything that people have come to expect from a 20-30 dollar expansion., then I can see myself spending 20-30 bucks. For me it just depends on how big of an expansion are we talking.
As title. If we wait until the update hits, will we get a laurel? Or is there no laurels awarded for todays daily?
It might be best to just hold off on the daily until after the update. Smart money is on that even if you complete the daily right now they will just reset it so you still have a chance to get the laurel because honestly it makes the most sense to do it that way but I say hold off just in case. It would suck to complete the daily now and not get a reset so you miss out on getting the laurel.
Gosh how I am tired of seeing people ask this question…
Short answer: No. Long Answer: It really isn’t.
Darn you sir. I was going to post this yet you beat me to it. Good show.
Where is….
Guild versus Guild, also known as GvG or Guild Battle, is a strategic form of PvP which matches two teams of eight players from different guilds against each other in the Guild Halls.
Players from GW miss this… New players will never expirience adrenalin in guild fights, making strategies in guild hall and they will never know why we love GW and why we start playing GW2…
Please visit http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guild_versus_Guild
C’mon ANet, this is not Guild Wars if you dont have GvG!!!
Who is with me?
The bold is the reason why there is no GvG in GW2. GvG takes place in guild halls and as of right now there are no guild halls in GW2. Anet has already stated that they will be adding guild halls and player housing in the future. Maybe when guild halls come out GvG will also happen.
I would have to say the most innovative thing about GW2 is not how much new things it brings to the MMO world but because it takes all these good features that all these MMOs have and puts them into 1 game.
A chest? No. He’s not really difficult at all. Big guys like him have giant AoE’s with about a 5 minute build up to that attack so unless you are a melee user that is just staring at your skills there is no reason to get hit by his melee attacks. However a health drop and a decrease on his respawn timer will be MUCH better. Takes a good bit of time to down him and it seems he respawns every 10 minutes.
I’m all up for mounts as long as they move the same speed as the player.
The worst thing about the armor is that it’s only RARE. If we’re going to shell out that crazy amount of gold, it should be Exotic at LEAST.
Actually something most people don’t understand about the culture armor is that wearing all 6 pieces gives you a bonus to power, vitality, and condition damage. Also note that this is a set bonus, not a bonus that comes from runes so you can actually buy the superior runes from the dungeon vendors to stack the rune bonus plus the set bonus from the culture armor. Also note that right now culture armor seems to be the only armor that gives a set bonus like that.
EDIT: I was looking back at the culture armor on the wiki and different culture armor gives different stat bonus. For example silvari give condition damage, toughness, and precision

The only problem I see with having a both weapons strike is that for melee weapons the default auto attack is usually 2-3 different skills being used back to back and those skills are tied to the main hand wep. Me personally I would love to see both weps being used with the auto attack though.
Feel sorry for you op. Don’t really know what to tell you because from what you said you’ve done everything I did. I explored, crafted, did everything on the map that you can do and I ended up being lvl 19 by the time I left the starting zone, 30 in the next zone, and then just following a similar trend from there. Right now I’m lvl 77 in a 50-60 zone. Since I didn’t play with you I can’t say for sure what we did differently but judging from what you said we did everything the same.
^I don’t see how it matters considering the whole general discussion section is stating how an individual is disappointed in the game or a thankyou thread.
There are a ton of problems and it’s not like anyone official is really looking at the forums.Yout will always see complaints about things on the general forums.
Yes there will always be complaints on the general forums part. I wasn’t saying complaints in general. I was talking about complaining about bugs in the general discussion forums is the wrong place to do so. There is a bug section for reason.
The OP brings up a legitimate problem and all he gets is troll posts from fanboys.
Which happen to be met with these lame, hipster bandwagon replies.
Since WoW, all you see are these stupid troll/fanboy words get tossed around. Get an education or buy a thesaurus. Stop it with this idiotic fad.
I do emphasize the education part. I mean, when does “all he gets is troll posts from fanboys” makes any sense in the english language? The word ‘are’ should replace something in that sentence. Figure it out.
But their replies don’t help the OP. It is a fact that anet fanboys ravage these forums because they can’t see anything wrong with the game, even if it is blatantly obvious. Their trolling adds nothing to a solution and the incredible replies that insinuate the OP would not do the most basic of things like check for a chest are insulting.
There is a problem here and the OP has a right to feel frustrated. It would suck to put 20 minutes of time into an event for nothing but virtual glory.
And it’s amazing how many times wow is bought up when someone does not agree with the opinion of anet ‘FANBOYS’. smfh
Please fanboy is probably the most used word when it comes to game forums and that word and trolling no longer mean what they originally mean. Anyone that disagrees with someone stating a problem is considered a fanboy and is just trolling. It’s already known that there are event rewards bugged and some quest and skill challenges that are bugged. What’s truly annoying is these people coming on here kittening and complaining about bugs like this is the first mmo in the entire world that has ever come out with bugs. You want to know the best way to handle bugs? Report them. That is the fastest way time get them fixed. Complaining about bugs on the general discussion forums, which btw is the wrong place to complain about bugs, is not going to magically make the bugs get fixed faster.
For the rest of us, the people who will actually spend money and tons of time in your game, well, we’re already really bored.
Sorry but as soon as I read this I lost all interest in actually responding to your post. Don’t speak for me. I’ve been playing GW1 since August of 06 and I enjoyed every minute of the time I played. I picked up GW2 and enjoyed it as well and so far it is actually giving me the same amount of enjoyment I had when I played GW1. Just because YOU didn’t feel like GW2 is a good game doesn’t mean every other GW1 vet feels the same.
Question. Why do you think it needs to be nerfed?
I enjoy the combo fields actually. I have a guardian with a GS and my #2 skill throws down a combo light field that grants retaliation. When people whirl through it removes conditions and leaps grant area retaliation. I also can set up a ring of fire the with whirls sends out balls of fire hitting anything near the person using it and leaps give them a fire shield to burn nearby targets. Can’t wait to play my staff necro to spread the love even more.
To quote Mike(I think) If you want to do something with a large number of people try the dynamic events. If you want a more organized and a team/skill based challenge try the dungeons. If you want both of those then maybe Guild Wars 2 isn’t the game for you.
tl;dr GW2 is not getting raids so if it is that much of a deal breaker not having raids then play a game that does have raids. There is no sub so you can come and go as you please with this game.
I love how half of your comments are “don’t play so fast!”.
Gosh guys, what are you thinking playing at your own speed?! It’s not a race!
I love how over half this thread is “we want raids and gear grind carrot on a stick progression” even though GW2 having none of those things has been talking points about this game for over a year.
