There are plenty of guilds out there recruiting.

If your preference is WvW first and PvE second, I recommend in no particular order: CHOO, CDS, FEAR, WvW, VIG, VNG, ICON, QPO, LUN.

If you are looking for a balance of WvW and PvE, take a look at GSCH, PLUM, SPQR.

Sorry if I forgot any guilds(just went by reset list), there are plenty of good, warm and welcoming guilds on SoR.

I know, TW was one of the first guilds, if not the first, to get JQ organized in the beginning and get it rolling with the community TS and WvW. I’m being positive in assuming nothing has changed in that aspect.

I still remember how much heat and hassle Zagz and Daboss got in the beginning spamming the community TS everywhere we went. And how hard it was to get people into that TS for the very first time.

We want to do it slow and steady with the right people with the right attitudes. We aren’t in any rush for T1.

Not sure it matters but [SYN] was most recently on SBI following HoD and the collapse of TA. So was NYS etc. Great pick ups for SoR but if they were playing on JQ they were not doing so publicly and no one I know remembers seeing them there. Not sure why it’s being said their alliance left JQ to drop down a tier. Maybe I am wrong but I remember fighting ex TA/HoD [SYN] on SBI not seeing them on JQ ever.

Good pick up for SoR’s week coverage. From the sounds of it we will being seeing you in a few weeks. Hopefully its in t1 not t2.

You guys have missed the point of my post. Bandwagon has a definition. Good reasons or not if you choose to go to a matchup and pick the side with more points, that is bandwagoning.

No I think you are missing the point of my post and at least the post of one other person. Anyway you look at it, calling these guilds bandwagoners is wrong.

SOR is currently ranked 5th overall and 2nd in tier. This is where SOR was both when they decided to transfer here and when they actually transferred here. One guild transferred down over all rank and same rank in tier. One guild transferred down rank in tier and up rank overall.

Bandwagon in this case? Absolutely not. There is no way you can honestly describe either as such. If you want a true example of bandwagon, take a look at what nine dragons did. At the time of their transfer, they went from #2 to #1 in tier and #5 to #4 overall. Not only that, they did it in the middle of the match up. That my friend is the definition of bandwagon.

Syndicate Alliance was on JQ, even when I was there.

Synapse was on SBI.

Both came to SoR.

SoR = the night capper of tier 2. You’ve become what you hated.

You couldn’t be more right….if you actually were right. I mean I guess all that PvD really helped BG out.

Putting up 500 PPT was night capping when BG did it, but now it isn’t when SoR does it? Good to know night capping is okay when your server does it (as if we didn’t know that already).

I hope TW realizes that the first week after a server switches tiers makes the scoreboard meaningless for that week.

You can judge them (and yourselves) beginning on the 24th.

I’m not saying you can’t talk smack because who am I to stop you. I’m just saying, don’t bother thumping chests over the score during the first week following a switch.

Thing was SoR was pulling ahead in points prior to any of our new guilds moving here over BSI and TC.
TC just doesn’t have the coverage overall. SBI did, however after speaking to many steelbluff islanders a lot of their pugs stop coming in after 1-2 wipes.

It has nothing to do with that. It has to do with the ranking system. Whenever a server drops a tier they tank in points, and whenever a server goes up a tier they go positive in points. Next week will have stabilized scores and we’ll be able to actually see where we all match up.

I never claimed that TC has more or less coverage than any other servers, nor did I intend to do so.

You’re talking rating, which is correct. PPT and even possibly overall points within the match-up though will probably stay similar unless something changes within each server makeup.

The entire system needs to be dumped quite frankly.

It is what it is, getting out cover-aged sucks, the ppt system sucks. We went through it, we completely understand what you guys are going through, but you can’t blame us for it.

You guys bring it when you’re on, that’s all that matters quite frankly. And when I judge SBI or TC, I’m not going to judge them by their ppt, I will judge them by how fiercely they fought against us.

Yesterday saw a couple of guys from EU Arborstone[FR] ([LNM] guild), fighting on SBI side. I do not know whether this is the beginning of a scheduled transfer or just a group of tourists.

Supposedly SBI has 3-4 Euro guilds currently scouting them out. Should be an interesting matchup if they stay.

Right now SBI has the stronger asianic which the other 2 servers don’t. I feel TC’s euro/early day crew is stronger, while SOR has the stronger NA crew.

With SBI getting a possible euro crew also, should be interesting to see how things turn out.

How is BG doing in T1?

Also to the above person, do not get angry and bitter about transfers, we know how you feel, trust us- we went through it against BG. You guys aren’t out of this tier, stay strong and play strong. wtf happened? There’s usually never a queue at 3am pst. If we had this much coverage before, it would have been SoR going to T1 instead of BG. Did we have a sudden bandwagon come our way?

You shouldn’t be labeling people quite frankly. And if you do play on SoR, you know we have been actively recruiting for quiet some time. I don’t think anyone who comes here is bandwagoning anything when they are accepting our invitation.

I foresee a tight race between TC and SBI.

As for SoR, we want to build slowly with community based guilds. We don’t want guilds to join our server because we are working towards T1, we want guilds to join our server to be part of our family and enjoy the game no matter what tier we are in.

T1 is not the goal, just the side result of good guilds working together. The goal is to have an organic sustainable server that provides its community with good competitive fights.

With that said, we aren’t in any rush to get to T1 and nor are we anywhere close to being T1 ready.

Any oceanics out there looking for a new home, get in touch with us over on SoR. If you have a never give up attitude with a solid desire to work together with others and help build something special and unique, SoR is a server you should consider.

They just raised the server population caps before they close free transfers next month, there’s no better time than now.

Well fought SoR. You guys are clearly better than JQ. It is ashame that JQ is teaming up with SoS to stay in tier 1. Else JQ would be knocked off T1 very quickly.

If you SoR guys eventually make it up to T1 (which I am confident you will), don’t get discouraged if you loss. SoS and JQ will always work together, with some in between fighting here and there to pretend they aren’t. They are in the same TS server most of the time.

It is still too early to crown SoR anything yet. Saying SoR is better than JQ is not fair to both servers. We still need to recruit more guilds willing to transfer over to help with our oceanic/asia coverage. The fact that BG went up and get beaten with their current coverage and population is already a good indication how tough tier 1 really is.

Yeah, SoR is a fantastic server with an AMAZING community and a very talented player base. We aren’t T1 tested though, we have nowhere close to the coverage we need for T1. We aren’t looking to be in T1 tomorrow, we want to do it slow and steady with the right people and the right guilds.

Coverage will come with time, we just gotta keep at it as a server.

It should be kills only, and yes it should be retroactive.

And no it shouldn’t be easy to gain ranks.

The realm rank system will also allow people even though they are losing to have a side goal.

LOL I bet. You guys have been the Blue team for 10 weeks. 3 months zomg! When the time does come that your team color changes you’re not going to know what to do with yourselves.

I am actually thrilled with the competition this past week. With Blackgate it was like they never came out to fight unless they had megazerg 2000 on their side then they would opt for the fight where there is no resistance. So far this week I’ve seen more action than ever before. I love this matchup and have to say it’s been my funnest to date.

I know people give us crap on SOR because we’ve been in 5th for ages. Blackgate loved rubbing it in our face. However one little tidbit everyone ignores that I am quite proud of is that SoR has never gone DOWN a rank. Since launch we have only gone up. Each week we get a little better. Now someday I am certain we’ll go down a rank but to go 5 months without a single – rank is quite an accomplishment. One not many can say they’ve achieved. I’m proud of our server and am very happy to call it home. We don’t need to be #1. We need to be happy. Happiness comes from surviving the fights you shouldn’t, defeating the enemy far stronger than yourself, and achieving that which was deemed impossible. Our success is not measured by what place we are in but on how far we’ve come as a community. I look forward to our continued growth and adventures.

Yeah don’t count SBI out, they are tough fighters. Even if they don’t come in 1st, I fully expect them to fight for 2nd against TC.

Maybe one day we will have the coverage, but I hope we aren’t in a pvdoor status for 8 weeks like BG where our oceanics get rusty. BG is just getting wrecked in T1 atm because of that.

The ram #2 can hit 50 people. And I don’t doubt that, we build rams in pangloss tunnels. It’s epic.

Yeah, you IoJ guys were always awesome. If IoJ doesn’t make the comeback you are hoping, you should move your WvW community to SoR. You guys would be most welcome, and there are plenty of us out there willing to give your guilds gold to buy your upgrades back.

I said it before and I’ll say it again and dont take this as any disrespect. BG as a server has a lot of coverage but not enough skilled/organized coverage.

You’re joking right? The coverage BG has is far more oragnized/skilled than SoS or JQ, the problem is BG simply doesn’t have enough of it to match SoS’s numbers let alone SoS+JQ. BG has been constantly stopping much larger SoS zergs with fewer numbers, the problem comes when skill/organization cannot overcome a greater population and that’s the wall BG hits. BG can have 20 skilled and organized people but they aren’t going to win vs 100 half coordinated zerglings.

I wouldn’t knock sos or jq. They are solid servers which have earned their place in t1.

<3 we miss you guys too! We still keep in touch with a lot of the JQ community since most of us have known each other from daoc/war. It’s sometimes strange not playing on the same server, but weirdly the other half of the daoc/war crew is on SoR. Maybe one day both servers will unite or get to fight each other!

Oh you guys get too serious. Trust me when I say TW appreciates all the guilds out there that come out to fight. We keep it a little interesting creating some rivalries when possible with a little forum drama, we mean nothing negative or insulting about it, we are used to VNboards attitudes from back in DAOC, those of you who played that game know what I mean.

As always, if there are any guilds out there interested in setting up guild v guild anywhere, please let us know, we are ALWAYS down. You let us know the numbers and where to show up.

TC and SBI you guys are great sports and I love the light, playful threads as well as the strict anti-cheating/exploiting stances I think all 3 servers universally have.
