Blue Perception is one of a kind, while he is lacking diplomacy skills he has nonetheless a good degree of awareness about WvW dynamics and general strategy.
Try to not focus on the way he says things but in their substance and you will soon realize that he might even be a good resource.

These matches are not built in like 30 against 30 so you can say who is best over the opponent.
Dynamics involved in WvW are infact a mirage when taking into account “the real skills” of a group of players siding one server or the other, I assume there are great players both side and crappy ones alike..

Fissure of Woe (EU) is at the bottom of tha ranking.
We are struggling, we are overwhelmed by Invaders, many so called “brave” fighters took the shortcut and switched server to join the “momentarly winning side”
Those who remained, although well knowing where they are standing, dedicated their efforts on improving themselves, raising their fighting capabilities, communication skills and general tactics.
Those who remained in FoW are among the best players around when WvW is the subject.
You may turn your head elsewhere and look for your glory on a different more developed server. but if you guys would like to join “the real” challenge then we would welcome you with the greatest enthusiasm and the full commitment to fight at your side.

well that was a fun little skirmish at FoW garrison. Any RoS players want to add in their opinions on it?
It was enjoyable for my guild ([Imp]), although we felt a little alone the majority of the time. There were plenty of RoS there they just didn’t seem to be doing anything most the time :P We warned them not to just charge straight into the ballista’s but they didn’t listen. Got the lord down but couldn’t clear the circle on our own with 4 ballistas and 20 (more?) players there.

It was a good skirmish, and for the chronicle, there were 3 ballista and no more than 10 people inside boss chamber at that time..
You IMP people seemed the hardest to knock down and while i am here, i really would like to ask you, how do you manage to permastealth many of your toons? Just wondering, i am always willing to learn new advanced skirmish strategies…
Some of them are just good thieves, but some of them are using cheats, no doubts about it… We know it, they know it, AN knows it.
I am waiting for a nice fix on that, so this lame players will have to find other way to get an edge..

You will never bind the rule of a private company – since they are there for the sole purpose of profit. If they are committed to go on with this gear grinding thing, that is most probably due to the fact that it fit their revenues scheme on an horrific and reliable ground noone can go against, not 1 not 10k not 100k.
The real vicitims here, if any of course, are those “persons” who gave their face and names in the process..
I am not saying the FGS is something you should carry at all time, beside it s an elite skill, with 180 sec CD, your class is elementalist and good to hear that you are playing dual dagger, as it s the most amazing class imho.

beside..if u r really in trouble being main targeted you could still swap your mist form and trade that FGS in no time, you could even pick up the second around afterward
that s a mistake, you should keep on switching attunement all the time you can even when carrying a conjured weapon, with the lingering effect and all the rest you won t need anything else for the time the conjured is up and slaughtering…

What can i say, i still feel my elementalist stronger than ever, beside those tooltips on the skills and traits, despite those evasive arcane apparent nerfing, i deal more roars than usual and this is a fact, even tho i wouldn t know how that is possible following an hidden math somewhere.. just ignore my saying for the time being and carry on your protest anyhow ^^
Oh and for Great fiery greatsword? Try to master its abilities and do not snob it cause it looks like a “non elementalist” weapon, that elite is one of the best around! Fast, painful, aoe, cripple, dots, and you get 2 for the price of 1 lol

I ve played ele since the BWE, i know i am going to be slaughtered in here, but i don t see this big drama, also my automatic “grasp” on actual (new) elementalist is telling me somewhat that he’s been boosted, i feel more power going on in combat…
As far as i can tell, ele has not been nerfed but on the countrary..it is more roaring than it was before this last patch…
And for those telling that noone will pick ele in the future, well..elementalist is a unique class in combat, noone can match its superior mobility or CC focused gameplay or its superior escaping capabilities..and it s flashy too! :p
Motivation! We need a flying boat (as arah dungeon story mode) just to pew pew the Keep undersiege from above lol
Back to the topic, i d like to see more incentive focused on Guild committed to claim and keep a fort safe, the longer that fort/keep is kept, the better should be the reward, influence or even shiny gold ^^..
I understand that people who enjoy PVE content would like to see some progression even on the rewards, including gears.
It is perfectly fine and reasonable, let them have all the “new shining more powerful” gears as long as those new gears affect PVE content only.
Do not introduce new more powerful gear in PVP please, it is nonsence unless ofc what you really want, it is forcing everyone to grind content they dislike.
So serious post and raised issues that can not and shall not be ignored by AN people who is willing to help out Community satisfaction and make GW2 an even better game

I personally like the idea of siege towers, make it high demanding supply structures, make it slow (maybe moved around by 4 dolyak) , make it tons of HP and above all make it huge high from the ground lol
I know FoW has been at the bottom of the global ranking for quite a while now, however I would like to congratulate with those players who despite all odd, decided to remain in the server.
Just to let you all know FoW is not in the last position anymore and infact during past week event, it has scored the 2nd best “delta” factor on the chart, that means that we actually managed to performe way better than most consolidated servers, increasing our average score by almost 75%.
Given the fact that we surely are not the so called “overcrowded” server, this achivement has got even more significance and flavour :p

I just would like more “motivating features” implemented when a Guild claims some fort/keep.
I bet 1 copper that 2 players could not ever take a camp in 20 seconds (that is 1/3 of a minute)
I see your point tho, and while i may agree on putting in place few more game mechanincs involving Camps and overall strategic points, as far as it is right now, camp’s guard look fine to me – that s ofc just my (won) copper opinion ^^
I also think an incentive for Guilds that claim a fort/keep is needed, it will indeed help game mechanics and improve significantly overall experience for everyone in WvW, beside most of the time all upgrades are expected to be done by the claiming guild, and just a flag on a banner is simply not enough to involve more Guilds to take active part in defence and supporting costs..

You people whining about WvW issues are simply denying some basic facts involved in the process, let AN do their job as they shown more than once they are more than capable of…
Changing game mechanics is not so “easy” as it may seems when you need to consider such a huge numbers of variables many of which are more on “social” or “personal preferences” basis involving thousand of players with different perspective and dedication..
Do not focus your mind on simple scoring and try to enjoy game even in a single fight, learn how to cope with your “i want to win the medal of best server ever” and see the beauty and the entertainment factor that GW2 WvW is actually offering.
Give them time, they have always responded to community, and if it s not fast enough for you then think about community as their customer and try to bend the “rule of customer satisfaction” in a private company.. it simply won’t happen..

Many siege equipment left uinattended at Garrison are destroyed by tempest storm (Quaggans), it is crucial to maintain control of Quaggans site at all time if you want to preserve your deployed siege.
It is true as well that many siege weapons left unattended are simply destroyed by FLYHACKER who just wait for you to turn your back to fly into the keep, destroy and leave (it happened many time on FoW, i’ve witnessed it with my own eyes, too often i add)
Therefor, i still have doubts about an ingame timer which eventually make siege disappearing.. I couldn t really double check on that, an official answer or a proper guide about it would be most appreciated.

I don’t see how larger map may improve game experience, you are saying that WvW is just one zerg vs another and there is only a way to take a fort/keep.
I know what you mean but i can sometime see outthere very nice battle, very funny indeed. Players have to take the best from this format (which i find awesome).
It can be improved and i assume it will, there are few balancing related issues but a larger map zone? I am not sure..
Tempest Storm and quaggan friendship would take out any siege equipment in Garrison in a reasonable amount of time…
Oh dear, let’s not punish PvE people who want to play with their friends and take advantage of transfers because of the still undeveloped ranking system, please.
ANet has said time and time again that they’ll lock transfers once things get settled down.
WvW rankings will never settle down until transfers are pay only.
It seems reasonable, also no need to lock them out from WvW for a week, i think that if they pay they have the right to get full WvW available since minute 1
I am also confident, that those who will pay every week for a server transfer will not be altering any game balance, being so few compared to the actual rate of migrations we are witnessing nowadays..
Only hope for Fow and RoS is to climb up ranking, Drakkar is just the weekly recipient now for those people who just join lower rank server in order to be able to massive zerg and farm the 2 servers at the bottom of the list.
What Drakkar is this week was Miller’s Sound the previous and Dzagonur and so on
There are even players from Fow and i assume from RoS who even joined Drakkar server…
Until Server transfer will be so easy and cheap, no balancing system can stand a chance.
..very sad, there is not much that can be done about it, server transfer should be limited in period.
Claiming Guild (in their location) should have the power to block “some” undesired supply waster, denying access to them when needed.

I am currently playing WvW in Fissure of Woe server, as you may notice we are runnig on low population for the moment, at least regarding the WvW aspect of the game.
I ve heard about other server complaining about night capping which i do not think is the real issue.
Main problem in FOW battleground is that we are often heavily outnumbered by enemies, resulting in creating a scenario in which we are regularly slaughtered without standing a chance. Obviously this will eventually lead the few left fighting in an even worse scenario in which the “cost” of any action in WvW will grow esponentially and ultimately being the leverage which would force them to drop any resistance and leave the BG.
Now, since we cannot predict how many people (from each server – in real) will ever take part to WvW, I assume we can only implement mechanics tied up to the very core of the game.
1. Depending on numbers of Keep/Fort/Camps owned by each faction a direct bonus or malus shall be applied to the various factors that really matter in balancing the game (no i am not talking about the almost useless bonus when outnumbered)
Crucial strategic factors are:
a) Supply carrying capacity by each player
Example: server who owns a lot will be able to carry only 5 supply by each player while those who have very few forts or none even, should be allowed to carry 20 supply each (we will avoid the outnumebered factor related to siege weapons deployment at least)
b) Cost of siege equipment and repair
Many players who are losing badly because outnumbered are often forced to quit any hope because they simply cannot afford any more repairing gears costs, let them have a cheap repairing cost instead and maybe let them buy a catapult for half its price, while OVERWHELMING server should pay double the cost for each siege equipment (if they own very wide areas)
c) Unit needed to build siege weapons
It may seems a little extreme, but we could just introduce a mechanic which allow losing servers to build up siege equipment requiring less unit resulting in faster deployment.
To summarize, whoever wants to EXPAND his territory farther than its own homeland should as well consider the involved raising cost of the campaign, after all it makes sense, pushing forwards and launching an aggression campaign should always involve more sacrifice. The mechanics explained above can help resolving balancing without considering population and night capping, It relates on conquered ground only.
