i used to use cleansing wave but it moved to master trait anyway. basically switched with what i was using there, lol. anyway for adept i’m comfortable with piercing shards for the 20% dmg while using fiery gs or lh, or vital striking for 10% dmg while health above 90%. it’s situational though so i keep switching if i need to.

my thief is my main.. and even though i enjoy using my warrior and elementalist a lot.. i still have so much fun with my thief. i’ve never felt the need to stop using him through all these patches and i don’t see why people always whine about the tiniest little changes that actually make sense. take larcenous strike for example. it’s one of my favorite skills in the game (lol dredge fractals, perma prot/swift). even though they nerfed it, i still use it a lot and i feel like it’s more balanced now that it steals only one boon instead of two. its ridiculous to think of rerolling another class coz of something like that. as for stealth…. i barely use it. shadow refuge is never on my skill bar unless my party members ask me to use it. ofc, i’m talking about pve. in wvw, sure i use stealth.. but i don’t care about not having perma stealth or whatever coz that’s just stupid. shadow return? the 0.25 sec cast time is barely noticeable.

i don’t know why people are whining about S/D not being viable after this update. i see no significant changes to make me want to stop using it. as for the trait.. i’m sticking with vigorous recovery. -3 sec is hardly a nerf.

i’ve never had this happen since the mac client was released. just happened to me, after the last update. weird.

new build just released apparently fixed this issue. haven’t checked yet.

i tried repairing the client and deleting the contents of the data folder.. but i just crashed again after tequatl. this time, it was when i alt tabbed out and back into the game. i got a different error message.

oh i thought it was just me. same issue here i guess.

i’ve been using the mac client on my previous mac since it was released and i’ve never experienced what i’ve been going through in less than a week when i switched over to my brand new imac. i’ve been crashing a lot at random times, like just now…. 1 second before tequatl was downed. i’ve attached the error message.

there’s another constant issue on the imac. whenever i load a new zone, 90% of the text in my chatbox doesn’t show and is fixed by scrolling up or switching chat tabs. this also includes the chat type at the bottom left ([Party], [Guild], etc) which is fixed by mouse over. there’s also a slight chance some or all the UI starts flickering when loading into a new zone or just randomly. i’ve only tried fixing that by checking and unchecking the vsync option in the graphics settings until it stops.

anyone got any idea what’s causing these?

I feel your pain, I always get kicked no matter how well I support my party . Full cleric armor and a shout build that heals for around 4k and insane CC with dual mace build. And I never go down , always forced to res those berserker who die in one hit and I’m the one who gets kicked. It’s absurd.

whoa that’s stupid. i’d actually love to have someone with your build in my party. it helps a lot.

Heh, if i was the dungeon starter and they had kicked me.. i’d be fine with it. at least they’d get kicked out too and i got payback without doing anything.

Nike is right. If you were doing great but still went down and died, then suddenly left it would look like a rage quit to me. It is sad, but it happens all the time.

I usually have pretty good luck with PUGs. Sometimes though you just have to accept that people are kittens. Just last night I was PUGing COE. We got to the 2nd alpha fight in P2 where you stack by that pillar. On the first or second AOE strike the same three people kept going down because they weren’t dodging properly. On our fifth attempt, one guy had the nerve to blame me, telling me I wasn’t stacking tight enough for his liking. So, I bit my tongue and stood exactly where he wanted me to and repeated the process. Lo and behold, same thing happened they all downed eventually leaving me trapped in a crystal and dead as well for the sixth time. Three people rage quit, we grabbed some new guys, beat alpha in like 30 seconds, blew through the rest of the path, did a P3 in the blink of an eye and all went on our merry way.

even if you thought i did rage quit…. at least wait 5 minutes before kicking. i was literally offline for less than 2 minutes. ;/ but yea i know all about these pug issues and it’s really sad. you never know when a good run would turn into kitten and you just end up wasting so much of your time over nothing.

i do daily dungeon runs with my new small guild that knows what they’re doing. sadly they haven’t been doing much fractals so i’m waiting for them to get to higher levels. i do have good people on my friends list that i do fracs with but they were mostly offline at the time. ;/

Ok so i’ve just spent the last 2 hours with a group in frac 30 and to be honest i was doing way better than at least two others in the group. one of them was virtually standing still 60% of the time doing nothing. i’ve never really had a problem with fracs in general and i can handle myself there pretty well.

we reach the last boss frac; mai trin. we had to wipe three times coz of stupid stuff others were doing but in our fourth try we were doing great. i didn’t even get downed once, until someone does something stupid in the last bombing phase (her health was 15%) and gets me killed. i was lagging a bit at the same time and i disconnected. i come back in less than 2 mins and see that i was kicked and already replaced by the egotistical 10k achv point warrior that was DYING more than me and i’m pretty sure the other vote came from one of the stupid kittens that wasn’t doing much to begin with.

how is it my fault that the servers were acting up for me or my internet was acting up at the very end of the whole run? i don’t think i deserved to be kicked after wasting 2 hours of my day helping those kittens out. when will anet do something about the kicking system? maybe give a 5 minute time limit on kicking someone who isn’t ONLINE instead of kicking them as soon as they dc.

sorry this seems like a rant but seriously anet do something about stuff like that. i know i’m not the only one that suffers from abusive party kicks, especially when i kept quiet the whole time and didn’t really argue or do anything bad the whole run. i know i should avoid pugs and just run with guildies but they’re all kinda new to fracs and haven’t gotten past level 10 yet.

anet should really reaaally consider this. it looks amazing.

is it just me or does the molten berserker boss doesn’t go berserk anymore when he’s low on health?

the reactor bug was managable but the molten facility broke the game for my party. the more i hear about bugs and how stupid this update is.. the more i care less about getting on the game and running fractals again. even though i’ve been excited about it.

Was just going to post a topic myself but i’ll just share this here. This started happening to me today…

Whenever i login or change zones, i get a login error message (attached). i can play the game just fine but i can’t enter any dungeon with a party. nothing happened when i click the enter dungeon prompt and i’m pretty sure people could fill my party spot while i’m already in the party (through lfg) and i get automatically kicked out. i haven’t changed anything with my router or isp so please look into this anet!

i’d say any class that can reflect.. but it’s unnecessary as long as we don’t have any braindead players that don’t know how to follow simple commands.

oh good i thought it was my mac. seems i’ve been getting this too after the last update. when i first log in.. the environment and character models seem to take longer to load for some reason. ;/

this is a mouse acceleration issue that’s been around since the mac client was first released. it happens to me whenever i “log out” in game instead of exitting, then logging back in. instead of doing that if i wanted to relog, i’d just quit the game entirely then start it up again.

anyway.. i too am disappointed by this living story. they need to release something players actually want and care about.

Rare? i got two and a half keys on my first run through to the top and i was rushing for most of it.

this is happening to me too every day. a lot. what fixes it is switching zones. at least for me. if not, then restarting the game entirely will. i’m not sure how its happening but i can tell that it’s not necessarily related to picking up bundles or porting. it keeps happening on my warrior too while i’m attacking normally.

it’s so easy to get skill points these days that you won’t really notice a difference in your total amount if you spent 25. you’ll get it all back before you know it. as for the healing skill itself…. it does suck, but don’t forget it also heals your allies according to the tooltip. i never bothered using it though.

i briefly had the late 2012 model with the highest specs and i used to play the GW2 mac port on high settings and it was running with ZERO lag, even in events like claw of jormag that are packed with players.

Zerging is a player problem and has nothing to do with ANET. Players will find the path of least resistance and use it to the max; this happens all the time in every situation. We, the players have created this problem ourselves (content locusts).

remember GW1? the party exits an outpost and they have their own zone instance. i was kinda hoping for something like that with Zerg Wars 2. the way they were advertising the game and stuff while it was in development kinda made it seem that way.

yea was majorly disappointed with that. logged in with my gf to have fun but were seperated and then had to run around with the friggin zerg tryna catch up before they finish those spore events. got bored quick.

i’m hating these huge zergs day by day. i log in to do something and have fun but instead stress out trying to catch up to whatever i’m supposed to kill before the kitten zerg kills it. most of the time, i get in like one hit and not even get the event done or whatever. load screens while waypointing also ruin the whole thing too, so yea i’m with you on the zergs. i get bored faster tho. 5 minutes into it and i’m out.

i totally agree with you mate. a lot of grinding is required now for almost everything you wanna get, compared to last year. but a reason for this could be to stop EVERYONE from having the same ‘unique’ and ‘limited’ skins.

one of the best updates in a while? that really made me laugh. there’s nothing interesting or new with this crap update. they said ooh the blood prince is back and he’s kitten ed woowww watch out…… go to an instance and a half alone, beat him around like a lame pushover and seal him back up. complete bullkitten.

i just started getting this error and decided i’d relog but i can’t even log in to the game anymore. fix this asap anet. ever since the halloween patch on the 15th, there’s been a lot of issues with the server.

i’ve been encountering constant server lag for a few days now. it just got worse for me though. i just finished a dungeon run and was going to leave party to join guildies.. but nothing happens when i click leave party, and i kept getting that cannot connect to log-in server error window. i decided to log out but logging back in takes ages now, then my friends and guild list show everyone as offline.. but i’m not getting any latency issues with skills though.

edit: can’t even log-in to the game now..

just get to the first platform normally without any lame porting and stay there.

the dungeon path is only “hard” on your first or second visit where you don’t know what the hell is going on and are trying to figure out the kinks. it’s one of the easiest and fun paths in the game tbh. you just need a party that isn’t compromised of brain dead noobs. even if it’s their first time.. they should be able to know what “lure the ooze to the oil aoe when you get the debuff” or “melee the boss” means.

i don’t know if anyone knows, but anet did mention they are already considering an expansion. their main concern is to figure out when it should be released though, before putting any work into it.

If people want to do a dungeon “faster,” they should mention its a speed run. and if they want all level 80 chars decked out with exotic gear, they should say that before entering the dungeon and wasting time.

i’m just saying this is happening a lot. people can’t do any dungeon with any experienced party members without having to be level 80. it really doesn’t matter if you’re fully geared or not, as long as you’re above the level requirement.

it’s a bug that’s been going on for a while now. when that happens, you can simply leave the party and rejoin. if that doesn’t work, stay with them and just relog. other related bugs are newly joined members not appearing in the list or their names haven’t updated if they switch to another character.

So i’m on my third character that i decided to level. I’m great at anything PvE. i’m currently level 70. i get into a group for CM exp mode (level 45, mind you).. and then get kicked out for not wanting to switch to my “main.”

Did i miss anything? Are people not supposed to do these dungeons at all without being level 80 and geared to the core, even if the dungeon is low leveled and you’re quite capable of handling everything it throws at you? I mean, i just finished with SE paths 2 and 3 with friends that are all level 80 and fully geared, and they died more than me.

I dunno….. should i be reporting kittens like that?

I have come across this issue a long time ago, after November’s Lost Shores release, and I haven’t seen any fix for it yet. I don’t know if people might call it a bug, but I would like to address it so maybe it can be fixed.

To start off, i’d like to point out that i’m very much into looks in games, and I love how we can set any look for our characters. The medium chest piece from the Honor of the Waves dungeon vendor is one of my favorite pieces of armor in the whole game, and I’ve bought it many times over. However, I started to notice something was really off about it after installing the Lost Shores back in November. The bottom part of it seemed very fat and just raised up, and weapons started to look like they’re floating besides my character(s) instead of stuck on them. Luckily, I have screenshots to show what I mean. The first pic is before the patch, showing how it was before, and the second is after.

Notice how the bottom part looks like it’s being raised up by air, and how the weapons are just floating there. I tested the floating weapons issue out with other armors, and they seem to move back into the character. It feels like there’s empty space added on the svanir chest piece which pushes them far from the character’s sides.

I know this might be a nonissue but I hope you take a look at it, Anet.

i’ve never had this problem before but after coming back to the game 2 weeks ago (3 month absence).. i’ve been having it constantly. it only occurs when im using both mouse buttons to run and change camera angles. my character would just stop moving and i have to resume movement mostly by using WASD. it’s really frustrating when it occurs while jumping too.

at random occasions, my character would completely freeze and not move at all unless i use a movement skill.

the ancient karka event was a one time thing. the zone itself is here to stay (and the new dungeon too). it seems very plain now so there is a possibility for future events there maybe.
