The reason so many including me are complaining is because weather it’s a joke or not, they still thought about it and that leaves a bad taste in our mouths. Maybe if they listened to the community in the past and gave us something we wanted, we wouldn’t be so critical of this VIP ordeal. The way I see it, were going to get the same old living story temporary garbage now at a price. No thanks!

And what about the players that have the bank slots, character slots and bag slots maxed out? Do they get a VIP discount? Also would this be Soulbound to 1 toon or account wide on all your toons?
I wouldn’t put it past them to apply this though. Remember you could spend $10 to get an infinite continue coin for SAB and then they took it away rendering it useless until it comes back again for another 2 weeks? Also a spend money and get a useless mini. And some suggestions being applied to gem store items. Yeah, this is Anet now and I doubt its a joke.

Sarcastic or not, there are thousands who have that attitude. Otherwise Anet would have changed things like RNG boxes (why would they keep them if they didn’t work?).
This latest info about a premium package is sickening, but not surprising that they’d consider or even push to implement it.

Most of the fun comes from exploration for me at least. Gw2 has been out for 15 months and no areas have opened other than southsun. Its like being cooped up all winter and getting cabin fever. After a while you get sick of seeing the same 4 walls. And LS updates just adding different cosmetics to the same maps we’ve had. Much like painting, in the end, its still the same 4 walls your looking at. When spring arrives, you can go out, explore and see new things. This is the same with gw2, people want something to look at instead of the same maps.
Exactly and for them to say its an expanding world is misleading considering they haven’t opened any new areas and didn’t give the players any insight as to when/if anything will. Seems like all they want to do is scare the players away rather than attract them due to all their un needed nerfs buffs and bugs.
Is it a living expanding world when a lot of the veteran players are leaving the game and the borders of tyria are not expanding? Seems Like a dying diminishing world to me.

Like the title of the thread says, whats keeping you here? With all the living story garbage and no real heartfelt content to explore and divulge in. The reason I am still around is for the few friends I have left that hasn’t quit yet. As for now, I’m just biding my time until the release of Xbox 1.
With the upcoming releases of xbox, ps4 and other mmo titles, how much of the player base is going to stick around?
So many of us have been patient with anet waiting for something good to be released and its been a disappointment every time. Anytime anyone asks a serious question about the future of the game, colin’s response is nothing is off the table! Well, its time for them to share what is on the table and quit being so secretive because as far as things have gone so far this year, I have nothing to look forward to!
If players are bored with the game and ask legitimate questions like cantha, guild halls, expansion, etc etc and the only response they get is nothing is off the table; then whats the incentive of sticking around? We’re left in the dark and don’t even get a hint as to whats in store for the future rather than this living story crap?
Anet really needs to communicate and realize that people are getting bored and fed up and seeking out other venues of entertainment! But hey, nothing’s off the table right? That sounds so stupid!
Can we have a fix to the mapping situation?
I’m in TC, so its very hard to take forts and things back from the other 3 #1 tiers to get every PoI and vista in the 4 maps. Do you suppose you could make it easier for PvE to just get each poi at least by just being near the gates that must be taken down? The vista should be either moved or be left alone if they can’t, as they require a take over of that location anyways (its a vista it is like an extra reward for capturing. I’m ok with that!).
Everyone agrees requiring WvW for PVE 100% map was a bad idea to begin with. SO FIX IT! Let us get the PoIs just by approaching the vet guards at the gates.

Yes yes! Make the game mind numbingly easy and negate all the work and effort everyone else has done to get their completion! This is the way the game has been and this is how its going to be! Either try and get it or give up, nothings changing no matter how much you whine about it! For the record, you don’t need 100% map completion to kill invaders! What gives you that idea? lol
They’ve been saying that for awhile and honestly, I don’t think it takes a year to develop a guild hall considering they can pump out this living story garbage every two weeks! I don’t think they’re working on them at all! In fact I believe they’re just stringing us a long as its false promise to give us something to look forward to.

I like the personal story but I’m kind of upset right now over it because of A Light in the Darkness bugging up and making me choose a fear I already did (see another thread of mine in suggestions about it).
I’m all about immersion and RP, so I because I choose the wrong path, I kinda ruined my character. But she is lv 63, and 400 huntsman and leather, so I can’t remake her now.
We need a story do over feature or a replay mode for no exp or rewards just to experience paths we missed. OR Anet need to make those choices more spaced out!

I am a RPer on TC, and I just finished the Story part “A light in the darkness”… and under Order of Whispers. When it came to choose my greatest fear, I wanted the middle one (fear of dishonor) as its the only path I haven’t done on my human characters and it fit my character’s personality. Instead, it made me choose the first one, be it lag (I was perfectly lag free when making that choice I wanted and when it jumped to the one I didn’t.), or the choices are too kitten close to the one I want to even click properly! I can’t go back now and I can’t choose the other path! I want a roll back!
I ask for the sake of immersion and our RP, please make the choices more spaced out Anet! I don’t want to be getting fear of having someone die on you over and over.)
If it wasn’t for getting the rare medium armor top that Riot Alice wears at lv 77 Personal Story reward, I would juts give up now because my character is ruined in this way!
since your characters ruined because you missed 1 little thing in your story then why not delete it? I mean whats the point of having it if its ruined? Might as well re roll it! =)
It’s come up on other threads here and there, and I really do think it’s “Player Survey” time. It seems like ANet devs are working in seclusion, cut-off and out of touch. We see the same complaints over and over. The same suggestions, over and over. We get VERY LITTLE feedback from devs in forums and elsewhere. Usually when we hear from devs it’s when content is already done and ready to be implemented. At that point it is largely pointless to tell them, “Er, we actually don’t want that….” because it’s going to happen anyway.
I think it’s past time for there to be a developer-player pow-wow with some real back-and-forth discussion about the future of the game. It’s hard to make that kind of communication happen, but a survey is a very powerful tool and would get us there.
I still love gw2 and I expect that I will continue playing it for a long time, but I have my concerns about the future of the game. Chief among them is simply, “Are you listening to your customers?”
C’mon, ANet. Give us some sign that you know we are out here.

Whats in the Box? Maybe it’s all the player’s legitimate threads that got deleted by the devs because they didn’t want to hear the truth!
Also its a pain to alt + tab to a 3rd party timer website to find out when world bosses like tequatl are going to spawn. That should be given to us in game. If they want the living world to feel living, why not implement some plot that a character has given us a com link for when we are needed and when these events are within 5 minutes from spawning, give us a notice like they do with the scarlet invasions. This would kill two birds with one stone and make the world feel alive and ensure the players don’t have to rely on 3rd party sites to find out when the events are.
Or make a seperate chat channel called Rumor and have it say something like Rumor: There are disturbances in the water at sparkfly fen!

I was thinking about the new ascended armors being added and suddenly came to the realization that since launch, a year now, GW2 has seen literally zero new armors added within the actual game. As in not in the gem store.
Made me really sad.
That my people, is the price of no subscription fee.
They have added some, but not a full set!
In flame and frost, you had the fused guantlets that doesnt match anything, no other pieces in that set.
In the scarlet update they had the twisted shoulders, still no full set.
In Zephyr Sanctum they had the wind sun and lightning helm, still no full set.
In the achievement boxes, you get the Radiant/Hellfire mantle, gloves and helm which only appeal to heavy classes, still no full set.
Whats up with all these random pieces without the rest of the set?

Yeah, i loved the diversity of build in gw1. Not so much in gw2. "Oh look, there’s 20 other people of the same class here doing the same exact attacks as me =)
A lot people do it just for the achievements. Just because they do it doesn’t mean they necessarily like it.
Living story to me means “Okay, lets rush this content out to the players, have them beta test it and report the bugs. Once we get the patch working correctly and have all the bugs out, lets rip the content away from them and say suckers, you can have it back next year!” No thanks! I don’t like being a guinea pig to bugged content. It’s bad enough that they have had known bugs for months and since release even and they’re too focused on this living story garbage to give a kitten !
I love the game and I would be a big gem buyer if they put effort into fixing the things that need fixed. But why would I spend a dime to support them if they dont take the first step and support us and deal with issues that 100’s of players have?
