What kittenes me off is when a dungeon is contested and you cant go when you want. Instead you have to participate in stupid kitten events doing boring content you dont want to get to the content you want to do.

All my pets names are peeve. Why? Because I click stow and when ever something hurts me like getting hit from a mob or the slightest stumble, out comes my pet roaring its ugly head which makes this my pet peeve since I wanted it stowed in the first place.

I won’t get it nor will I buy gems to support this company what so ever after the mess they made of wvw. Everything they touch usually becomes tainted.

If it wasn’t for the bad publicity from PC Gamer and other popular gaming sites, I highly doubt they would have addressed this at all. Good ol uncommunicative anet would of just swept this under the rug and held thier ground.

And yet when the game was in its early days, Anet said they are creating a portfolio of events and festivals to be reoccurring. What ever happened with that? Things like SAB and Dragon festival just need to have an on button switched. They need to open their so called portfolio and re add something while we wait!

Also One color should be reserved for newbie commanders. One’s that don’t fully know the ropes. This way people know who’s new at it and can either offer tips or decide not to follow because they’re inexperienced lol.

Potatoes are too confusing for many new players thus they have been removed. All of the possibilities to do with a potato are overwhelming. You can mash them, bake them, fry them…

Here’s my question.

Why can’t they just like I dunno, talk with us before making decisions. I would have thought they would have learned by now that every time they make these design choices without consulting their player base something like this pops up. Generally when a person accidentally sticks their hand on a hot stove top they pull back before serious burns happen. Its like they stick their hands on the hot stove top, get burned, don’t learn anything, and then stick their hand on it again.

Have you read this forum? Did you read the post where the devs were called kitten? If this forum wants civil discussion, then it needs to be civil. Instead the people here immediately go into barbarian mode at the slightest hint of an infraction.

People are upset because they implemented first. The appropriate time to ask for community feedback on upcoming changes in generally before you roll it out to production. If you roll something out to production and then ask for feedback afterwards, that means the player base is stuck with whatever the bad decision is until it is patched.

Just because something can always be fixed later doesn’t mean you shouldn’t strive to get it right the first time, and in game development, that means at least having a bit of dialogue with your customer base. If they had come forward with a screenshot of the new system asking for any feedback or suggestions before roll out, I’m sure a ton of people would have commented about adding a custom amount feature.

And instead of blowing up, the entire thing would have been likely a complete and total non-issue.

I can’t hear you over the sound of overly rude, crude and totally unnecessary behavior in this forum. There is no excuse for some of the posts that were part of this thread.

I assure you, the team leader told me not 15 minutes ago, they will listen to suggestions.

• Does that mean you get everything you want? Probably not.
• Does that mean you should suggest something? Yes, of course! Because they’re expecting player input.

So you want lower increments? Think it through and present a suggestion! You want XYZ in the interface? Post that idea. You would rather see something else? Here’s a suggestion…. Revert it back to how it was! It wasn’t broken and this is an unjustified change. Stating newer players didn’t understand the old system is just an excuse. Like I said in a previous post, my wallet is closed. Change it back and quit screwing up your game. And while your at it, have them revert the trait system back as well because that wasn’t broken either. Tsk Tsk Anet, I thought you were smarter than that. Maybe things are being dumbed down because your own game is too complicated for you.

This would solve a ton of problems and get us all focused on what is actually going on. Good or bad. Anyway, that quote is something Anet should listen very carefully to and take to heart. The community needs this.

Coming from someone who has worked on this game, arenanet needs to reconsider their stance. How many other more devs at Anet realize this but don’t speak up? Maybe this will open some eyes, but i doubt it. Might be too confusing for the higher ups.

I think Arena Net needs to grow up and banish their non disclosure policy of what they’re working on. All it is is an excuse. A cop out so that they don’t have to deal with confrontation. I myself would gladly support them and invest in gems if i knew the game had a future, but why should I if after two years, we don’t know where the game is going?

To make sense of the game mode and the concept of guilds, they made an elaborate back story known as the “Guild Wars.” It was absolutely named “Guild Wars” because of the game mode. The lore was secondary to make it make sense and to give people a way to recognize which game had the specific brand of PvP they were going for.

the person that initially came up with the ridiculous non disclosure policy of what devs are currently working on and communicating the outlook for the future of the game. This is a business killer imo.

If this policy is revoked and you can speak freely about what your plans are, then there will be a lot less tension in the air and it will also restore hope any faith in many for your company.Also many of the veteran players could also use the morale boost!

Yes, but anyone and everyone who bought the infinite continue coin is owed a refund and ANET kitten well knows it! It doesn’t matter whether or not they bought it with cash or converted gold to gems; the bait and switch tactic in any company is frowned upon. As far as anything you buy goes, once its bought and paid for, it’s to use at your convenience; not whom you bought it from.
