Still can’t figure out why I can’t control my arena. I can ban people, but can’t kick/switch teams/start or end games ect

anyone have any clue as to why my arena commands no longer work ?

Arena commands don’t seem to be working , can’t kick trolls or swap people teams, any idea why?

nope, thats the limit man! the only way to get the number higher is to have full bloodlust stacks, full might stacks and some vuln on the target

I’d like to see this in a small group fight, like a 5v5 or a 3v3 and without perplexity runes before I pass judgement on MtD. I saw some big stacks of torment in your video, but i think you could push it farther.

Just to kinda show the potential of condi shatter, in spvp I am able to maintain about 16 stacks of torment on someone almost permanently and in wvws its around 25 lol.

Anyway, to the OP: I still think these people are too easy and that you need a real fight

you can maintain 16 stacks permanently in spvp? you will have to show me this for sure lol. and yes rylock iiiii know. I only recorded for a few hours I didn’t have much to pick from when I seen Aeoldyns thread so I had to edit something up quickly haha

its plenty viable if you want large amounts of damage, and know that if you don’t succeed with your initial burst you are probably going to have to reset.

With that being said the traditional d/d roamer still has very good burst, and it has a ton of sustain to go a long with it so the only time you would be running something like this is to just one shot people then disengage, imo at least. Im sure there is some boss thief that runs 66002 in wvw all day every day and does just fine haha

For condi I think perplexity is more powerful,

perplexity is way, way stronger. perplex is still a bit broken, check out my vid I posted the other day, granted most of them had no idea how confusion works, still the amount that perplex + cry + diversion can put out is pretty high

For sure on the shattering, its hard to get in your head when you are running conditions that you can actually shatter and it be useful, previously when running condi I was used to just spamming staff clones and landing scepter blocks ya know?

I have been messing around with Cele hybrid shatter as well, so far I seem to be liking 06026 and 04406 .. both of which I have been taking energy/battle doom/battle and strength runes. Every fight has a consistent 9 might at the very least, and it can get quite high throughout due to constant shattering. 2-2.2k power 900-1.1k condi dmg with 39% crit chance and 200% crit damage is actually pretty awesome, if shatter moments happen to come around while you have fury from staff autos it hurts even worse. Only downside is like you said, its a bit of a trade off, you are nearly as squishy as a p-shatter and you do far far less ‘insta’ damage as one… so you might as well just cut your losses and go full zerk. It’s a fun change of pace none the less

So, I’m new to Mesmer theorycrafting. I’ve been working too much to play but I would like to have a build to just plug in and play when I get the chance. So does this look OK ?

I prefer Far-reaching manipulation over Retaliatory Shield. It’s the best get-away / chase tool we have imo.
Haven’t looked through the whole build but that caught my eye.

Well, the idea behind that is that you have the block on scepter in addition to the Aegis on Chaos Storm. Combine that with your other Retal sources like iMage and you could have a pretty huge up time. I like to just kill my foes so that I don’t need to run away…well that sounds creepy as hell.

Thing is far reaching manips allows you to get to spots on any spvp map that a 900 range wont do. Positioning is more important then the boons your trading for imo.

I much prefer far reaching, but then again I have also been running full rabid and prefer not to get hit at all so retal has limited usage here, esp since the power stat of rabid is non existent.

He was bad.. I tried to get his attention to try and get a nice fight or something but then I was unprepared and he was bad lol

man re watching all the clips I recorded I seen tons of times I should’ve shattered. It’s a weird mind set playing a condition build and actually being able to use your shatters for something, half the time I would forget I actually had MtD xD

yeah torch is hella nice, I just <3 magic bullet lol. Yeah its just a weird thing to get used to, im so trigger happy from playing zerk shatter so long so I try NOT to shatter and then I end up missing perfect moments to shatter… if that makes any sense at all.

I kinda like it Aeol, I just posted a short vid of some wvw fights and duels, I think its a nice change of pace. The damage is also super sneaky

Hey guys here is a video of me attempting condi shatter. It is a vastly different play style than power shatter and takes some getting used to, I’m still not used to it and I could be playing a lot lot better. I think MtD could fill a pretty good niche really, I have found it to be very good in 1v1s, very good vs the cele meta, amazing in havoc groups and only really bad against players with tons of single target burst and or players that can kite shatters well and keep up ranged pressure. All and all I think it is a nice change of pace and definitely has a place somewhere. At the moment I definitely prefer power shatter, and I sincerely think its ‘better’ in most situations, but in the moments that MtD shines, it really, really shines.

edit: I am running 06026 (when I have mantras) and 04406 in this video. I think the 06026 is much more well rounded. Full rabid, ascended rabid trinkets with condi food. Sigils were doom/energy and blood/energy

I have been running the ole 04406 full rabid and it has been hella fun in wvw today, still not as good as traditional shatter..but its a nice change of pace

d/d sniping is hella fun though, a few times the spvp reveal screwed me and I used CnD too early. Also thats my first video, mad respect to those of you that edit videos and post them all the time, I had no idea what I was doing and it was much harder than I thought for the first time lol.. can’t tell ya how many times I messed the stupid time line up xD

So I see the word “viable” being thrown around this thread a lot, and saying this I really hope it doesn’t come off as being a jerk. I think it’s safe to say no one in this thread (me included) plays at the highest levels of pvp? I’m talking like tog levels of pvp. Now with that being said there’s a multitude of “viable” specs that a ranger can run in average level pvp. Yes zerk lb deals crazy damage at ranged, just get close to it and bait out signet. Yes the condi bunker can hold a side node really well, 2v1 him with an ele or guardian. I have had a lot of success running Sb axe/dagger, so I don’t see why axe horn wouldn’t work as well? Axe stacks a ridiculous amount of might on our pets, which people neglect far to often. I’m not sure if you’ve seen the Na KotH ranger thread? But the person with the most title defenses is a Cele Lb- sword/axe ranger. At the average level of play.. There are plenty of specs to choose from.

I am new to warrior, but around 2.5k hours in game, 90% of which has been wvw roaming or pvp.

I’d like to think I understand the game/profession mechanics pretty well.. but I cannot beat a triple med guard on this war. I have tried every combination of weapons and trait spread ( power specs only )

So my question to ye warrior forum, how does a power war, beat a triple med guardian?

I was playing around with it before work and I’m going to have to agree that staff isn’t the best option here, I know I know you’ve gotten that kitten thing to hit 7k on me numerous times , but I much prefer sword pistol like Xaylin said

I still use them when I run shatter, every little bit of burst helps. Fay is correct though it will reveal you while stealthed, which sucks hard, but air runes fire/air sigils and elasticity make for one hell of a mirror blade spike

Ahh Gotcha! well tomes are easy to come by if you keep pvping Guards are extremely extremely strong vs other power classes right now so thats a plus, but can still be kited fairly well with the extra cripple or not :P

Rangers are bawss man you just have to learn the playstyle. Pewpew ranger is boring but BM is fun, wildy/nature with zerk ammy in pvp is hella fun as well. Double melee Zerk can surprise some people in the ole dueling servers

For sure Jc, I have been running a cele trapper rune double bow build in wvw though and it has been pretty cray. I haven’t lost but a handful of times unless I am severely outnumbered. I have been running Battle/ice lb geo/battle on SB. The amount of chill you can get with ice sigil / frost trap is pretty cray vs some classes, looking at you eles and thieves

Yeah tbh the old rapid fire was worse on thieves they had to blow two dodges to avoid the brunt of the damage, they can just evade once and get rid of most of it now. Though in wvw I have been running 64004 and its hilarious vs double melee

The damage is definitely there, esp if you take BI like skcamow said, but I am not sure about the uber low vitality =\ 1 backstab can kill you if they get procs as well

I really have no idea at all. So far the most fun I have had is venom share teef + 62600 lb ranger wvw. no escaping the Dreamthistles gaze
