I was in that massive disconnect at Shatterer as well.

May I suggest you do some testing before you release a patch? There are so many bugs that were included with this patch it is ridiculous.

They do their own testing but nothing like a PTR. So they never catch the game breaking bugs. We’ve asked them before to let us help with the testing but they have stubbornly refused and this is what usually happens after each big patch.

This going to make the Vine maze more of a pain in the kitten now.

The update didn’t fix the problem. Many of us were just disconnected after the Karka Queen and we all lost our loot.

I got my rewards and salvaged all before getting booted. I ASSUME the mats didn’t disappear after I sent them off to my bank. It did take away my credit towards the daily. And with all of these crashes, it’s restoring me 5 miles away from where I was.

All my stuff is gone and talking with people in Map Chat, they lost a lot of salvage stuff too.

Just an added note, I was in this DC and lost the daily BUT I now have the Shattered completion, where I did not before. Entirely possible I broke 4 more people out of crystals, but why did that achievement remain when the daily didn’t?

According to them, once you get an achievement you are stuck with it. They don’t take away achievements cause it breaks something.

So the daily Shatterer got finished. People got their daily chest. And then the game crashed and suddenly NO ONE HAS ANYTHING. No chest and the daily reset. Map Chat got kittened. How are these bugs getting through?! I know you give us nice things but how come when nice things come, even more horrible things come to overshadow them?!

We just finished the daily Shatterer. Got the daily chest and loot. Then the game crashes a few seconds after and EVERYONE gets ported to Twins Sister Location and now has NO daily Shatter Credit and No loot.

So what are you gonna do cause a lot of players just lost the Daily and the Loot.

Apparently they said they are fixing it for personal story. So when you do those old personal story moments with new characters Lions Arch is still fine cause it’s supposed to be before Scarlet’s Attack.

They did explain why but it was a terrible reason. The explaination is someone complained when certain idle animations were playing during cutscenes. Namely during the one cutscene back during LS Season 1 at the Breachmaker. Some players felt it made their character silly during a serious scene.

So they took out that idle animation. Which is funny cause fast forward to LS Season 2 where our MINIs ruin another scene involving Caithe.

I farmed Silverwastes for mats and managed to get full ascended gear (weapons and armor) in less than a month. My only problem is now infusing them. I am just too lazy to do fractals haha.

This might be what you looking for, medium armor, bucaneer chest, belinda great sword style, only ranger uses GS in the medium armored, i didnt check the normal swords for styles, but the bucaneer does pretty much all the job of samurai looking toon, not sure if this chest looks that good on humans and silvarys tho. Im not sure if this hair style is available for humans too.

Though I think with the inclusion of the one handed katana/wakazashi like sword in HoT (It was data mined on Dufly) I think we might get more “Canthan” themed gear. The Ancestral and Imperial outfits are a good indication of what we might get in the future.

Well, this guy isn’t Canthan in the slightest, but I was going for as close to Tshirt and slacks as I could get in heavy armor. If you squint it could look like a modern martial artist’s get up (it needs Shadow Abyss Dye to disguise the fact that it’s heavy armor). There was someone in one of the show-your-armor threads that did an absolutely superb samurai look, too.

Aww man. I want the Samurai look. That’d be nice.

Can we have different sitting emotes? Kinda tired of my female characters lounging about all seductively.

They won’t be giving us new weapons for a while. Right now specializations are just expanding what current professions can wield. There is a Hammer skin that looks like a battle axe though.

Honestly. If I had a million dollars to blow on GW 2. I’d totally screw up the gem to gold market ratio. Buy all the legendaries and put them up for a ludicrous amount. Buy every single rare skin and also put them up for a ludicrous amount. Buy crafting mats and do the same before sitting back and watching the mayhem. I will laugh as I sit upon the broken statue in Lion’s Arch, making Evon Gnashblade kiss my feet as I effectively ruin the economy!

Then I’d get bored and put everything back to normal.

After talking with guildies, the popular theories are:

-Some evolved into Centaurs while the rest slowly died out.
-They slowly died out and were hunted by other creatures but Humans still remember them.

But seriously I am curious! It’s silly but it’s one of those things that just bugs me! Did some wrathful horse god smote them all and was like “Centaur are my favorite now!”

Alright we have Centaur in game. Mythical creatures of fantasy. So in the Guild Wars Universe, what happened to all the horses? They are mentioned in game, there’s a place called Iron Horse mine. We got an toy horse rocking thingy. Clearly they existed at one point. Did they all die out? Did they just sniff a lot of magic and became Centaurs?

Are people really complaining about the beta access portals? You should be happy that you get a chance to loot it. Other game companies just do the whole pick from a list and sometimes no one gets access. Heck you should have seen the whiners on the WoW forums before each of their expansions.

As of this time, you can use tomes to get to level 80. That will give you 400 hero points, enough for your skills and enough traits for “a few builds.” Getting 65 more hero points by doing hero challenged will get you the remainder needed.

They are removing the old skill challenges and putting in hero challenges. There is no indication they will put in the same number, and imo it’s likely to be only 65, the number needed to get full customization. If true, this means they will be widely spaced across the maps.

Wait I thought they were just converting the old Skill challenges into the Hero challenges? So this mean a lot of them are vanishing?

Alright I’m trying to keep up with the new stuff they announced but I’m still really confused. Mostly cause some things are properly answered but still leave questions. What I wanna know is, do I need map proper map completion (or all the skill challenges) on my toons in order to have the correct amount of Hero Points. Some of my toons I never bothered doing map stuff, just did EoTM and away I went. I don’t mind doing it, I know its tedious but I just want an answer before HoT.

I think one way to re-introduced discontinued skins ie, The Greatsaw or Molten Jetpack, is to make them hard to get. Perhaps a certain level Fractal or a series of event challenges on HoT? This way players who got it already get to keep their feeling of accomplishment. They worked for it back then so they deserve it. New players should work for it but not feel closed off from it like they are now.

I’ve noticed GW 2 is crashing a lot lately. I mean I don’t get a crash every day but it will crash at least 3 times a week. It’s usually when some visual effect is happening. I have no clue why because usually the same visual effect will play and the game will run just fine. It is kind of weird considering my computer is new and my old computer barely had any GW 2 crashes. It was just absurdly slow and choppy at times. (Hence why I got a new computer).

Last time my computer crashed was because someone dropped a banner. That’s it. Kinda of absurd reason but that’s what happened about 10 mins ago.

It was destroyed before Tami made the device. Her device only stopped progression whatever Mordy was doing to WPs with sucking their energy. Her device didn’t “fix” the WP in LA because it was completely destroyed so her device couldn’t prevent the destruction… Since it was already destroyed….. Chunks of it are still laying on the ground last I checked.

Also the tentacles are gone because of her device. Or for the WP in LA you could argue they are gone because it sucked up all the energy so there’s no reason for it to stick around.

The Fort Mariner one makes 0 sense cause the whole battle for Lions Arch is over now. Been over for pretty much a year now. I honestly think a lot of them are just bugged. I’ve been to a few that were contested but as stated before none of them were under attack.

It wasn’t destroyed during the battle for Lions Arch.

It was destroyed later when Mordremoth awoke. And like with the rebuilding of Lions Arch, rebuilding waypoints takes a long long time.

Incorrect, the Fort Mariner was specifically stated has having been destroyed during the attack on Lions Arch by Scarlet, whether it was destroyed because of the attack or because of Mordremoth waking up is fine line, but the devs stated it was during the attack on Lions Arch(in a much older thread about it being bugged).

No, he was correct. Fort Mariner was destroyed, yes, but the waypoint remained intact. Until Mordremoth’s tendrils did their massive advance across Tyria and ended up destroying it.

So wait does it have a giant tentacle sticking out of it then? If so WHY hasn’t the kitten Lionguard hacked it up yet?! Didn’t Tami make a device to fix these things?! It was in the LS! I still call laziness!

Yeah they shouldn’t have done the whole stupid tonic thing. We should be able to exchange those old silly tonics and make our town clothes into outfits. I mean they keep pushing outfits on us, we might as well have our old town clothes back as outfits.

I know there are people who don’t like all the coats in Medium armor, but as long as this set exists, it might as well be made available. Having one less coat option isn’t going to give us more non-coat options.

There are several old PvP sets that could use a reintroduction…although, if they’re added as Personal Story rewards, that’s not very convenient for people who have already completed the story, but want those skins. Hrm.

Well one solution for those who completed their personal story is to have a reward vendor in their racial home instance. They sell you rewards you missed for Karma. Problem solved and everyone should be happy!
