Name one melee-centric class that doesn’t have at least a 900 ranged option or two or three.
If you get confused, stop hitting and kite until the confusion wears off.
You’re welcome.
Thief.
A fat Liam Neeson?
If you actually got to join in. I’m not touching GW2 until the Wintersday stuff, I give up on it all.
One time event. If you missed the window or didn’t get the chest?
AHAHAHAHHA! JOKES ON YOU PAL!
Fun? You mean fun in getting disconnected? Or missing the event by one second? Yes, loads of fun. I had just sooooo much fun getting a repair bill that cost all my silver. About as much fun as getting my throat slashed.
Not only that, but you get nothing for the kills.
YAY! /sarcasm
Canach is still bugged, can’t continue the chain. Can’t find a group to do the first difficulty of Fractals, so that’s a waste.
Canach is bugged on ever server. I give up on this event until it gets fixed, I’m gonna go see how the storyline for TOR is.
protip: do 100% explore on every map you can. You’ll level about 1/hour at least, if not more.
Alright, it’s working again, had to restart the computer.
Guys, tech support sends the link to everyone because it is easier to piece together the puzzle as the problem develops rather than playing hunt-and-find with errors. Please try to be a bit empathic towards the game developers and what they have to do to keep the game from imploding.
Guild Wars 2 won’t start, that simple. I was playing not even five hours ago, decided to head back on to finish my dailies, and now it won’t even start. Nothing has changed on the computer to cause this, firewall/internet connection is the same as it’s been.
No, that’s just as stupid. If you invest in something, you should benefit from that investment. Show the proof that someone with magic find is automatically the worse person in a group or drop the argument.
Magic Find – and only Magic Find – should be displayed to other members of your party.
It is the only stat in the game that benefits you but has zero benefit for the rest of your party. Unless Magic Find is changed to be shared or averaged across an entire party, it is the only anti-cooperative mechanic in the game, and other players have a right to know if you aren’t trying to cooperate with them.
The number of times you’ve died should be displayed too. And the total amount of gold you’re gear is worth. And how many times you’ve completed a dungeon path. And your age, gender, and current job, because someone who has a job that requires good reflexes is going to be better at dungeons than a paper pusher.
He wants to use magic find gear to give him a better chance of rare stuff though.
Yeah, not gonna bother with that.
And with that, I say goodbye to GW2 until after the event.
You are not guaranteed to receive a rare item after opening a Black Lion Chest. You have a chance to get a unique/rare item. Some people are luckier than others. The Halloween skins are tradeable, so if you aren’t able to get them in a Black Lion Chest, you can obtain them on the Trading Post.
The skins are currently selling for more than anything less than a legendary precursor.
Then what is the recipe? >.<
I need the 4th item though >.<
Arachnaphobia is the shortbow skin, you can buy it.
I wish I knew what the last part for the weapon are… I know candy corn, plastic fangs, ????
Still, this Costume Brawl seems so much weaker than the old GW1 brawls, where you didn’t have to pay to play for the most effect.
My problem is that medium exotic armor is completely fugly.
Werdase, I think you exemplify just why people don’t like to do PUGs.
It’s Shredder! Run!
GW1 dungeons were hard, sure. But you could do them with a good team and pots. And you actually got good rewards for your time.
And they are all cookie cutter looks. I’m at Hirathi and see a dozen people exactly the same, with different names. Easiest way to tell is multiple toons in the same spot without a guild that look the same.
Lol MMO where you can’t find a pick-up group? That’s comical. Good luck Anet.
You can find pick-up groups for just about everything in this game. However, PUG’s were never intended to do explorable mode dungeons. Although they can be done, but with usually a lot of frustration, they were never designed with PUG groups in mind. Anet has said this time and time again.
Though you can easily do it with PUGs, given you explain the tactics to them and allow them to take a couple tries to get it down (some faster than others)
That’s very true. ANet said that explorable modes were meant for a coordinated group of individuals. Generally that means a group of friends talking over vent, or something similar, who pay attention to the game.
Requiring an out of game program like Vent to do ANYTHING in the game IS BULL.
You SHOULD NOT need VENT to do any part of ANY game. It should help, to be able to voice chat, sure. But it shouldn’t BE A REQUIREMENT.
Same thing at Anvil Rock. I think this event is broken for everyone.
I really couldn’t stand Trahearne. Not only was the voice acting boring, but he was worthless in combat.
Instead, Anet seems to enjoy killing off the only enjoyable characters…. sniff Apples, anyone?
Eh? D cups? You sure? My thief has a modest C cup at best.
I’ve hit the cap every day just by doing 2-3 events a day, that’s not including skill challenges :/
The game is designed to be explored, sure.
But you get charged 1-4 silver every time you change location and rarely make that back. There’s just no positive return for doing anything long term in the game.
I’m at 110% magic find with all my stuff, and I still get junk items more often than anything else. I just love negative return investments.
I love the elitism argument of the supporters of dungeon difficulty. The argument from them boils down to “if you aren’t an elite player, then too bad and go suck it up.”
How is that fun? How is that supportive of the game?
So, finally found Jormag’s Claw again to join in. Great, right?
Except I joined when he was at maybe 50% health, died four times, and ended up with no chest and no event reward. I… I don’t know what to say to this. GW2 is becoming wasted time at this point, with dungeons being too impossible, events giving nothing in return, armor repairs costing 10s a pop, and travel costing 1-3s.
PUGs are how most people are going to get a group. Deal with it.
I don’t find any dungeon fun. They give poor rewards (lolhat) for the initial completion of story mode and piddly silver that doesn’t cover the cost of running through them.
In a few words? Trash.
I have no desire to play GW2 at this point. I give up. Anet, you have my $60, but not my play time. I’ll go play something actually fun, like SC2.
I have no desire to spend ten hours a day grinding away, hoping to get a good drop. I have no desire to to a dungeon where I will die a hundred times over, and get silver that doesn’t even cover the cost of repairs. I have no desire to play in World vs World, where I will die within seconds of running outside of the base.
I have no desire to play a game, where the end game means sitting around with your armor broken, unable to go anywhere because you can’t afford to travel.
