I’ll be logging in shortly, so if nobody answers it by then, I’ll check for a more definitive answer.
I think he wants to disable the link to chat feature. To be honest I’ve never tried, but I assume it’s like anything else, if you go into settings, options, controls you can change what buttons do what. It’s probably in there if anywhere.
If I had to guess I’d say that it’s just market wavering due to the drop rate fluctuation. 7g is a bit much, but it’s also true that the most expensive items in a certain category tend to get more expensive as time passes. It will most likely settle in at around 5g after a bit. At least for now.
Between 4 and 5s were where unidentified dyes were for quite awhile before they started going down. It’s just back to where it was before.
It doesn’t seem to want to attach the screenshot to my other post through edit…so here’s a new post lol.
You probably saw Vision of the Mists.
This can be scratched I guess, the upgrade just randomly turned up by itself…some kind of delayed update issue or something maybe? Don’t know, 500 influence was no big deal I just didn’t want to keep waiting 15 hours for nothing lol. But it’s fine now.
I recently switched servers and kept my guild. I had gotten quite a few upgrades on the other server, and went ahead and set architecture 1 as my first upgrade on the new server. (was going to grab workshop so I could upgrade faster) Well I waited for architecture 1 to finish, just went and checked it and it’s just not there. The time to upgrade finished, but nothing happened. It’s gone and it’s giving the option for architecture 1 again. It shows in the history where it was queued, but it has no finished marker.
To go ahead and stop a question I figure will be asked, no, there is no chance someone else removed it from the queue, and yes, I’m sure I didn’t accidentally remove it. This never happened with any of the upgrades on the other server, so I’m wondering if maybe it’s an issue because I switched.
@Glitch
When I first read your post, I was trying to figure out what on earth mechanical engineering had to do with web design lol. But then I figured out I was reading it wrong and had a nice chuckle. Anyway I look forward to seeing the site.
So many new replies since I went to bed lol.
@Aank
Yes, as you heard TC is Tarnished Coast. I just switched servers so I don’t have a good feel for it yet but I moved to TC because of the things I heard about it. I plan to explore various areas today and take note of activity and player attitude. Although if you’re looking for a home for yourself and a bunch of friends TC might be tough for everyone to get into.
@Xander
Thank you
I’ll be sure to do that.
Got onto TC tonight. But I stayed up too late doing it and now I’m too tired to explore it… lol. So that will have to wait until later on tomorrow. I will say that even after being on the server for only 5 minutes or so, the atmosphere of Lion’s Arch was very different, and quite a bit more energetic.
Everything they said is true, and I would also agree that it’s a good idea to change the keys to something that feels smooth to you.
As far as the videos go though, keep in mind that a lot of video recording software has an option that allows you to simply not record the cursor. So it’s probably there and doing something, it just doesn’t show up in the video. As glitch said, it’s used primarily for camera rotation in this game.
I agree that this is by no means a solution that most players can or will achieve long term results with. What I do like about this post is that players are thinking about ways to take their own stand against botters without breaking the rules themselves.
I also agree with Ashlar that the best thing you can do for the time being is be sure to report any bot you see, and I recommend taking a screenshot if the violation is obvious.
I can’t speak for anyone else, but my assumption about the cause of this problem is the whole server “full” thing. I’m on yak’s bend, and there were always tons of people in low levels zones until we got into that full category. Now there’s no more new people joining, so everyone has out-leveled the beginner zones. It is additionally a problem that people make a ton of money on their mains, then use it to raise their alts through crafting instead of playing the lower level content again.
Since exp is scaled this isn’t really that much of an issue but…I also encountered a level 17 norn warrior in orr the other day, trying to run events with the rest of the huge group. They must have revived him more than 50 times before finally just leaving him there.
Hello there Aank lol. You sound a bit like me when it comes to just doing what you like to do, not really paying attention to how much money you make or costs. Apparently we have plenty of room for people again so the more the merrier.
And not that I’ve met you before, but welcome back Noppy lol.
Well I have a male ranger but I’ve seen the female versions and there might be armors I haven’t seen, but for the most part I don’t think there is too much skimpiness when it comes to medium armor. If you’re playing a human, the tier 3 cultural armor is kinda-sorta skimpy. Also the chest on the order of whispers armor could be considered skimpy. But that’s about it as far as I know.
@Azurite
I was kind of thinking that TC would be that way. I don’t mind participating in RP, but what really matters for the most part is that I’m familiar with rp communities in games and they seem to know how to appreciate the game and take the enjoyment beyond just the typical “gameplay”. I’m getting on in a few to continue work on a video idea I had so I’ll keep an eye out for AC as well.
Yeah that’s okay. Like I said since I haven’t started recruiting yet I can take my time and just kind of keep an eye on it. I haven’t really decided yet anyway, just considering it. It’s not that YB is a bad server or anything, in fact it’s got a lot of active people and for the most part they seem to be nice enough. I think I just need an environment that’s delving deeper into the lore and characters.
I’m thinking I may make a server switch to TC. Not only are there a good number of people from there in this guild, but I’m also hopeful that the environment there will be more social. It is from what I hear. I get the feeling that having TC be the currently labeled “unofficial rp server” will lead the community to treat the world they are in more like an actual world than just a video game. I haven’t started recruiting in my own guild yet anyway. Although I hate to give up all the guild upgrades I spent so long acquiring.
Lol. I’m not sure chocolate chip cookies taste good in awesomesauce. Maybe though. I’ve never honestly tried the combo.
That being said, I just wanted to put it out there that I’m still working on getting AC explore runs. I only ran it once quite awhile ago back when tons of people were doing dungeons, and I only vaguely remember it. I read a couple of online guides, but nothing compares to firsthand experience.
You can get them from black lion chests, not that black lion keys show up all that often, or that fine transmutation stones have a particularly high chance of being their reward. I think (not positive) that I have gotten them from completing daily achievements as well, but if so the chance must be very low. Mostly you just get the regular ones.
I gave the same answer in a different thread here https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/players/Transmutation-Stones-and-Solebinding-Items/first#post647792 and apologized for getting the info wrong. However I stand by the fact that it had stopped working. It’s clearly not something that was intended and whatever the reason is I’m sure it will be shut down again eventually.
I’d like to point out that although I am actually sorry that I turned out to be incorrect in this instance, that nobody is perfect, and that in a game where things have obviously wavered between broken and fixed what we “know” can change.

Well, looks like I was wrong after all. As I stated a minute ago in my edit to my previous post, I just logged in and tested this on a corrupted avenger greatsword and it worked.
I’m honestly very confused by the fact that it worked, but regardless it did work. Whether or not it is supposed to be working this way again is debatable but I apologize for providing incorrect information.
What Lexy means is that before you explore a map, it’s all fogged over and you can’t see it. As you explore new territories, the fog or blur (whatever you want to call it) clears and reveals that part of the map. Whenever that happens, you get an exploration exp bonus. So she (I assume?) is saying that you may have entered a new area of the map without realizing it while fighting the champion, and that the exploration bonus was from that.
Not sure how “full screen” this is for you as everybody has different sizes, but perhaps you can make this work for whatever you’re working on.
EDIT: Also, just for the record, I think the reason you were unable to find it is because that’s a load screen for one of the human personal story quests. I “think”. Really not sure on that one.
(edited by Kaii.5149)
It has been fixed, and yes it is always the case.
Editing in response to below: I know for a fact that this was patched at one point, I’m logging in now to confirm that it is working.
(edited by Kaii.5149)
Yes, transmuting any item that is soul bound with another item, whether that other item is soul bound or not, will create a soul bound item.
There is an option in the chat window drop down menu that will display battle damage. I’m assuming that’s what you mean.
If you are putting everything into Vitality and Defense you will have problems unless you really have a specific build in mind you are trying to do.
Power effects how much damage you do with your skills.
Precision effects your Critical Chance and Crit Damage.Without one of these two you will be lucky if you kill anything and they will just keep pecking away at your health until you die.
Just to clarify this, increasing precision does not increase critical hit damage, it only increases your chances of getting a critical hit. Critical damage is a separate bonus.
They have patched that, it was an error.
I don’t have a warrior class character, and I’m not sure what stat bonuses you have on your armor, but it seems like you might have rather low defense, and that can be a serious problem for a melee range character like a warrior in orr where stuff tends to gang up on you.
EDIT: I should specify I suppose that of course warriors have the ability to use range, but you did say you were a greatsword build.
I accepted the invite lol. Online as my guardian for the moment, doesn’t seem to be anyone else from YB but it seems like there was at some point, there’s a few influence points that somebody must have earned here.
Lol, I just noticed that the emblem on my guild armor changed. Haven’t joined any additional guilds until now. Of course it’s blank…which is also kind of amusing.
(edited by Kaii.5149)
Do you mean the commando armor? As far as I know there isn’t a match for it in PvE armor. Divinity Commander armor is tier 1 cultural armor for humans.
I did see one post about the coat and leggings being a reward for level 77-78 personal quests, but I have no way to confirm this for the time being.
I agree with vespers, I find downscaling keeps things entertaining for each area even at high levels. I would like to point out that if this “boss” example you are using is a champion level enemy, then it’s not surprising that it killed you. Not all, but MOST champion level enemies are not something you can take on by yourself.
I think I’ll go ahead and leave all my info.
Main Character(s): Jumoku (Ranger), Tei Faolan (Guardian), Ro Eclissare (Thief -not 80 yet-)
Current Server: Yak’s Bend
Interested Activities: Everything. At the moment trying for AC tokens for weapons.
Active: US – EST The times I am actually on are rather sporadic, suffice to say I come on when I can come on. It is ample time though, so it’s rarely a problem.
Additional Comments: I’m a very direct and honest person. Even though I love games and love having a good time, I do take certain things seriously. I greatly appreciate qualities like honor, loyalty, and kindness, even in a game…perhaps especially in a game…since it is so much easier to get away with NOT having those qualities.
Are you willing to participate in Operation: UNION’S project, Y/N?: Yes
Ah…I thought you were just using the 5 day as an example. If you’re asking about a glitch specific to those upgrades then I’m afraid I don’t know. Perhaps someone who has done some big upgrades more recently will stop in and let you know. Good luck.
Looks like this is still doing rather well, glad to see so many people working together. I would do some AC explores with you fine folks, but I’m in my own little world here in yak’s bend lol.
Happy gaming. You can do dungeons with people from other servers- just be sure to be in the same map when the leader enters.
I appreciate that, thank you
. That’s not quite what I meant though. I just have a rather bad habit of somehow forgetting the existence of people outside my server, and so things like meet up times tend to slip by very easily lol.

If you’re not missing any skill points, then my guess would be that you are missing a city map. Try lion’s arch as well as all the beginner towns.
My understanding of the way this upgrade works, and the way that I have used it, is that it activates and begins building the next item in your queue, whatever that may be. That item will continue to build, for whatever duration it has, without using up your actual build slots.
Because building starts in any free slot as soon as it enters the queue, you must fill your open slots before using the outsourcing. However, if your actual slots complete before the outsourcing slot completes, then you will still be able to use your two actual slots for more upgrades while the outsourced lab continues on your third.
All of this assuming you have the guild workshop upgrade and so have 2 main slots for building. Hopefully this makes sense.
There might be…but not as far as I’m aware. The only way to do what you’re talking about would be to enter the downed state, which isn’t exactly fun time if you’re trying to help a team in a dungeon. Sometimes games grant the ability to remove buffs you’ve placed on yourself by clicking on their icon or something like that, you could try some stuff out, but as far as I know you can’t just switch the stat you’re buffing.
It stays. If you switch weapons, and also if you unequip the weapon and equip something else. You only lose the buff on down, logout, or map change.
While I can’t speak for developers, what I believe was intended is only having one stat boosted at a time. Since the boost doesn’t go away even if you equip a new weapon, people would be able to stack all of them, power, precision, healing, magic find, etc. So they made it that when you activate one, the others will no longer work. However the boost goes away when you change maps, or when you log out, so then you could try a different one.
EDIT: What I tend to do is put the stat booster on a weapon I don’t really use, like a spare. Once you have the stacks, you can use both sets of real weapons with sigils that have active effects like flame blast, life steal, or might.

There are two different ways of moving the camera by mouse click, but you cannot point and click to move your character, no.
The answer to the soulbinding question is yes, it will still be soul bound. Coming up with a good bow skin without binding it could pose a bit of a challenge, you’re really only left with the slightly rarer than standard exotic skins. If she likes the color blue you could get her a corrupted greatbow.

(edited by Kaii.5149)
Actually that’s not correct. Gear like weapons, armor, and jewelry are soul bound the moment you get them with karma. However you can buy things like cooking ingredients with karma, and those types of items are account bound, so you can move them from character to character. Salvage kits are account bound, and harvesting tools are soul bound.
I’d like to say, as someone that has never formally met or even spoken with any of you, you seem like a very organized guild with rock-solid foundation. On top of that, your members are happy, speak highly of you, and show you loyalty. I went and looked over your pages and found many similarities between my ideals and yours. I wish I had 94 people to start with but I definitely do not. When the day comes when Wings of Eclipse starts recruiting, I hope that we can eventually become a tightly knit and solidified guild like this one. One thing I read that I particularly liked was that the guild strives to add to the community that it is a part of. I think that is a very simple concept that gets overlooked far too often. Happy recruiting and best of luck in the future.
Many people do still prefer to have a single guild. Interesting idea or not I know that I will always belong to a single guild. But it is sort of a way to balance things, especially if you’re part of a guild you really love, but they just don’t do something that you need/want to do.
Well they made the option because of the fact that you can join multiple guilds, but can only represent one at a time.
To be honest joining multiple guilds is a new concept to me, as I’ve never played a game where you could do that before. But it has also led to people having guilds for various aspects of the game…such as a guild for WvW, a guild for general PvE, a guild just for dungeons, etc. So they rep that guild when they are doing those activities. It’s an interesting idea.
Maybe I’m not looking at that link right, but I attached a pic of dhuumseal…I’m not sure what that is, I haven’t seen it.
