We are still actively looking for some additional people to become part of our WvW crew. Whether you play every day, or can only commit once a week, we have plenty of ways that you can contribute to the team.
Recruitment is still open. Come stand proud with one of the best that GW2 has to offer as we celebrate our 10th anniversary together.
We aren’t strictly a NZ guild, but we do have NZ/Aussie officers plus a fair amount of members from both. Feel free to check us out and touch base with us.
Come join in on the tier 1 fun that is TC WvW. We have a great, long-standing and well-organized guild and are also very involved in the TC Community (also great people, all around).
We are known to do everything from searching for fights to playing WvW drinking games or silly themed nights, and whatever else falls inbetween.
The summer of Wuv is upon us. Come hop along on the wagon and hang on for the ride.
Come hang out with ESP as we prepare to celebrate our 10-year guild anniversary.
While you are at it, join up as a member and hop along for the ride as we continue to innovate and grow together as a guild.
Updated for voip. The guild now has a TS3 server instead of vent.
Edited for voip changes. We now have a TS3 server.
We are still recruiting for WvW and would love to get some more EU time zone players to work with our EU commander.
I’d also be happy to welcome in a few more NA people to bolster our ranks also. We don’t bite (much).
Of course, in addition to WvW, we do all the PvE stuff that any little heart could desire also.
Check the site or just chat up any of our members for more details.
If you want a guild that:
- Has been around (approaching 10-years now)
- Remains stable — doesn’t go through ‘rebuilding’ phases or periodically disappear to play other games
- Plays together in every part of the game
- Knows how to have fun and not take things overly-seriously
- Gives you bonus points for loving platypi
Then I welcome you to check us out. We just might be what you have been missing out on all this time.
Still a more interesting post than the majority of people’s ‘bumps’. Lets go Pacquiao!
ESP is actively recruiting across all time zones. We do crazy drinking games, kick kitten in WvW, dance, (and also MIGHT finally do an official karaoke night at some point)
Plus there is the boring stuff like how we have been around for nearly 10-years now, have been a GW Guild of the Week, and we eat fresh Dublinshire hams for protein to maintain our buff bodies.
Join now and you too can learn our secrets.
These guys are great to run with. I recommend trying them out.
We have a commander who regularly runs havoc/pugmand during EU – Early NA times, and we run organized NA WvW 3-4 times a week. We are working on creating more of an Oceanic presence.
We also continue to get ourselves acclimated to the GvG scene.
If you are looking for a fun bunch of people, who strive to play at high level, but also don’t get easily bent out of shape over every little thing, then I welcome you to give us a try today.
Any questions, please feel free to reach out to me, or any of our members.
Our 10th Birthday party is coming up. Come celebrate with us, and forge your own legacy in one of the longest running GW/GW2 guilds.
Come play with some of the coolest people that you could hope to meet, while being a part of a guild with both a history and a big future.
Be naked and zerg with us. Your parents will thank you later for making such a wise choice.
Later, we shall talk about spoons.
Join ESP.
Long history of stability? Check.
Regular WvW events? Check.
GvG/Scrimmages? Check
Cool attitiudes? Check
Sexy bodies? Check
So come check us out.
It is on once again. Come join the guild of the next millennium. We have plenty of vodka and tomato cookies to go around.
We continue to push for greater WvW involvement on TC. While we already regularly take part in Friday reset and scrimmage and host two additional WvW events, we have the resources and the know-how to do much more.
This is where you come in. We seek more WvW-focused individuals — experienced or new, it doesn’t matter — to become part of our family and also help us to fill out the ranks as we march onward.
We totally plan to invade Antarctica anyway, so may as well start now.
All of the above still holds true.
Come join us as we prepare for Platypusapalooza V, our 10th Birthday Bash, and continue to spread crazysauce everywhere while having a blast in the game.
We continue to participate in guild scrimmages and have been using those as a valuable learning opportunity to fine-tune or tactics and help train newer players.
If you crave great competition without the stress then I encourage you to give us a serious look.
Also, we are still interested in picking up another experienced driver or someone with the right motivation and mindset to learn.
We are a mixed bunch from all over the world, so any time-zone is cool by us.
I’d like to join.
We continue to forge onward, rounding up the platypi and bopping bunnies on the head.
Our schedule of weekly activities remains strong, and we have the upcoming Platypusapalooza festival (April) and the 10th birthday party of the guild (June) on the horizon.
People of all interests are welcome to apply. Sexy Euro’s and Aussies and cool cat WvW-players may find themselves hog-tied and shanghaied.
Recruitment for ESP remains open for now.
While our main focus at the moment is WvW/GvG/PvP players, in reality anyone who is cool and sexy and friendly towards platypi has a pretty good chance of getting in.
Contact info remains the same.
If you are specifically wanting to make your home on TC then you might want to go ahead and move over to the official Tarnished Coast forums: http://forthetoast.com
There you can find info on guilds like [ESP] and pretty much every other TC guild that is organized enough to make a post anywhere.
What time are most people online? And what are people typically doing (fractal, dungeon, wvw, their own thing, etc)?
We have a large-ish guild of 260+ players, and it is a diverse group. Our player base is spread out over every continent (except, I guess, for Antarctica) and there are active officers that help cover every region.
Peak activity is usually during NA-prime, but there is never a time when one could log on and just absolutely not be able to find anything to do.
Outside of scheduled guild activities, people are usually forming spontaneous guild groups with other members to do whatever they are interested in. We have a fair amount of regular PvP people, WvWers who may try to form havoc groups, people looking for dungeon/fractal groups, and some who just like to hang out and chat.
Guild chat is usually pretty active, and a lot of people who form guild groups end up hopping on to voice chat also.
Hope that covers your questions, and feel free to let me know if any others come up.
As we gear up for the new game updates and the release of Heart of Thorns, we hope to welcome back some old friends to the game as well as meet cool and interesting new people who wish to start their new legacy in ESP.
Check us out at http://www.espguild.com or get in touch with me or just look for us running around the world doing crazy things together.
Come check out one of the longest-running guilds in the game and see why we have been running strong now for almost 10-years over the entire GW1 – GW2 span.
Our first secret to success is balancing a fun, casual social atmosphere with being well-organized and striving to excel in all areas of the game.
The second, and most important factor is our community. We truly have some of the best people you could hope to meet in the game, and the camaraderie that we enjoy keeps the guild healthy.
Feel free to chat with any of our members or stop by http://www.espguild.com today
~Karuna
You are welcome to check us out and see if the guild looks like a good fit:
Everlasting Sacred Path — http://www.espguild.com — Tarnished Coast
We are casual, and yet well organized. Our guild missions fall on Saturdays at both 10:00am pacific and 5pm pacific, and then again on Thursdays at 8:30pm pacific.
We continue to look for fun, sociable people to join our ranks. Every WvW raid that we have is a memorable experience.
Starting this week we are dipping our feet in WvW scrimmages and GvG.
I think it has been mentioned before, but further attention needs to be given to the fact that the current ’Looking for.." forums are failing to achieve their intended purpose.
Before, there was a sub-forum under WvW titled ‘World Recruitment’ where servers would post their community recruitment messages and some guilds would post WvW recruitment threads, and there were two sub-forums under guilds for guild recruitment messages and for players to post their interest in joining a guild respectively.
While this setup was a bit disjointed perhaps, as a frequent user and reader of all three forums, I felt they served their intended purposes well enough.
Now all three have been dumped into one huge garbage can of sorts.
There is no longer any point really in servers posting recruitment messages because they can’t possibly keep up with all the individual guild recruitment posts. Player LFG posts tend to similarly get swept away with the current.
A lot of the problems stem from those guilds that seem to think that the LFG thread serves as their own personal Twitter account, and they post every tedious daily detail in an effort to keep their thread on the first page. If everyone did this, then every attempt at communicating any sort of meaning via the recruitment forum would quickly vanish.
Still, at least when there was a separate guild recruitment thread the problem was not as pronounced as it is now.
I can tell you from my experience that the majority of guilds and players previously looked to these official forums, as opposed to any other GW2 sites, as a means to form connections. Since this change, I am seeing a decrease in this usage.
There are three possible alternatives:
- Separate out the forum threads again so that servers, guilds, and players each have an individual forum to post in
- Establish clear, and enforceable guidelines for guild recruitment posts so we don’t have to sort through a constant stream of “blah blah, today my guild found a penny on the sidewalk” post.
- Have someone set up an unofficial guild recruitment forum somewhere else, akin to what was done with the WvW Matchup Commentary so people have somewhere else to go where their needs can be attended to

Feel free to look me up whenever you are in game and I would be happy to chat with you about the guild.
Pshh, treacherous FAers . . .
Just kidding.
There were certainly some epic clashes between TC and FA back in the day. I sort of miss that intense rivalry. It kept us on our toes.
Anyway, hopefully we will see you around again at some point.
Hey there. I definitely remember LnR and look upon all the members of our old GW1 Alliance with fondness.
We pretty much all play GW2 now, on Tarnished Coast, although I still log in to GW1 every once in a while to check up on birthday presents . .
Good to hear from you.
(edited by Karuna.1357)
I think I spoke to you once before when you were previously looking for a guild.
We have everything you are looking for and more. We just expect some effort and activity, or notification if you can’t be active for a period of time.
Happy New Years to all. The coming year is certain to be an eventful one for [ESP]. In 2015 we will see:
- The 10th anniversary of the guild
- New weekly events based upon the input of our members
- The 5th edition of our yearly guild festival, Platypusapalooza
- More of our usual daily shenanigans and inspired madness
- Further expansion into WvW
Yes, all this stuff and we regularly field numbers in WvW on Tarnished Coast as well. If you like a bit of variety and a side of zany along with you player murdering then you should check us out.
~Karuna
The grass is always greener, as they say.
Recruitment is open. We are a long-standing, stable guild with a fun, friendly core of people where member interaction is highly encouraged.
Guild missions are run three times a week, covering NA, EU, and Oceanic time zones. In addition there are weekly events for PvE, WvW, and PvP content. We experience 24/7 activity within the guild with people forming groups on the fly for whatever they are interested in.
Stop by our web site or speak to another member of ESP to get more info.
~Karuna
Also makes it more of a clusterkitten as people do more pointless bumps to try and keep their guild listing somewhere within the first 5 pages.
The holiday party was another success.
Going into the new year, if you are starting off as a new adventurer yourself, or else an experienced player looking for a change of pace then check us out. We have a talented group of fun-loving individuals who work well together and make things happen.
~Karuna
Even with accurate tags, it can be a bit of a chore now to try and sort through the mess of posts.
Doesn’t make any logical sense to lump it all together. I don’t see where they really need to save on forum space or anything.
I’m still looking for an experienced driver from any time zone that can help lead raids, plus give [ESP] a presence in WvW during off hours.
We would expect this person to majority rep the guild, assist when possible with member training sessions, and be direct and confident without having to act like a jerk to people.
Contact me directly, preferably in-game, for further details.
Also, for any other prospective members, we have a lot of Holiday/Wintersday events lined up, which you may still have time to join in on (if you have been good boys and girls that is . . . )
(edited by Karuna.1357)
We continue to expand upon our WvW ranks and different time zones. Currently NA is by far our most active WvW player base, but we have the infrastructure there to easily support more EU and SEA and Oceanic players with the influx of a few additional numbers.
If you like for your gaming to be a social experience, while also kicking tail and stomping faces, then please look us up.
~Karuna
We have a ton of experience in running a well-oiled, drama-free, solid, and fun guild. Our 9-plus years and various awards show that.
What we seek now is to expand our WvW presence, and more specifically, another qualified driver or two to help us better utilize our wide, international presence, and further the number of activities that we can run.
Inquire within for details.
~Karuna
We are still open to having a few more members join our ranks. While anyone is welcome to apply, we are especially looking for more people who play during EU and Oceanic hours to help round out our activity during those time zones.
We have a strong PvP player base, with regular guild tournaments, frequent WvW, and all the assortment of PvE activity that anyone could want.
All other pertinent information can be found above, or at http://www.espguild.com or by chatting up one of our current members.

(edited by Karuna.1357)
Currently we are pulling between 20 – 30 guild members for reset nights, which is pretty much where I like to be.
We would still like to have more people who can take part in our other raid nights, currently Monday, and Thursday, plus some Saturdays, were we usually have more like 10 -15 people.
I’m also actively seeking more people to group up with our Oceanic and Euro members for raiding during these time zones.
We tend to mesh especially well with people who either can’t or don’t care to have to raid every single night, but still want a well-organized guild with both scheduled guild raids plus smaller scale action available to jump in on during off-hours.
Inquire on our web site or speak with a member of leadership for more details.
The problem is that the disparity between tiers has only increased since the release of the game — the few anomalies caused by massive bandwagons and the exodus from particular servers aside.
They dug the grave of WvW very early in the game when they allowed free transfers to go on, and on, and on, seemingly forever. There are repercussions when you devise a realm vs realm game and then proceed to allow people to switch realms at will.
The only solutions require drastic measures that Anet seems unwilling to consider.
They should really remove EotM entirely. I know some people enjoy it because it is easy and provides massive karma/loot. But it really adds nothing to the game at this point and does slightly detract from the numbers in WvW.
Rewards in WvW need a BIG boost, to give people more incentive to try it out and play it more frequently. They didn’t seem to have any problem giving people disproportionate rewards for EotM, so I am not sure why it is such a big deal to bump up the WvW rewards.
Megaservers should be removed, or at the very least, servers should be given a megaserver-free city or zone to interact in. The whole megaserver thing is too entrenched now, so it isn’t going to accomplish anything to ask them to remove it. But it should be at least possible to allow servers to have a ‘home’ city or base in PvE to recruit and organize players. Megaservers chipped away at the glue that was helping to hold some server communities together.
If all of these things were done, then WvW would start to recover . . a little bit. Nothing is going to bring back the old days of the game mode unless they do some sort of major new content/upgrade/overhaul that draws back the interest of the legions of people who have quit.
