Well, this update is really nice if we talk bout PVE.
1. Challenge.
2. Massive PVE, tee-hee.
3. First soulful LS quest.
Wiki: “Note: Heals for 545 with 1443 Healing Power.”
You’d better post this screen at “Liandri nerf petition” with comment like “Even he managed to beat her”
GW2 is too predictable, not like GW1. Deal with it.
Oh yeah. Khilbron = The Lich, WHAT a surprise for us. Please…
Mai Trin is a pirate, oh no.
She lives in Lion’s Arch, so…
But GW1 was predictable. Nostalgia doesn’t mean that GW1 was all great.
Lore, story quests, pvp of GW1 > GW2
No discuss.

Mai Trin is a pirate, oh no.
So you simply don’t have a clue at all, that is what you are trying to say?
The Aetherblade did not create the steam creatures.
Ah yeah, right, it WAS asuran experiment that went wrong, lol.
Arenanet need to remember not everyone is a hardcore gamer what happens to the casual games that arenanet are excluding with theses events. Not everyone wants to play a berserk practically all the guides online used a berserker build.
Just ask yourself? What content was there for hardcore players in the last 8 months? I can’t think of any content I couldn’t complete. For me as a hardcore player it’s finally nice to see that my needs for harder content are finally satisfied.
We, the hardcore players, had to suffer long enough from the “casual-festation” in this game.
Yeap, that’s right. +1
Thread is full of QQ. “Oneshot as soon as got there”. “attacks are poorly telegraphed”
Are you blind? Don’t know bout evades? Oh, wow. Did you cry at mad king’s clocktower?
Several times get her under 50% with conditions only to die horribly due to a fall.
What are you? Bunker engi? Lol.
I have tried this on Elementalist about 35x and on Necro several times as well.
Necro is a bad-bad idea. Lack of evades. Necro can only pray for luck with orbs, pulling him outta shadow fall and giving rally.
Elementalist is much better but he can’t be thin. Best tactics with Liandri – staying at one clear spot. 1 shadow fall – miss, 2 – evade. So you don’t need to rush in circles like crazy and don’t lose damage.
Several times get her under 50% with conditions only to die horribly due to a fall.
What are you? Bunker engi? Lol.
This. +1. Lore sucks yet, because it’s very predictable, fest after fest, dragons aren’t mentioned. But still that was the first quest with SOUL.
So, since they are so predictable: Who is Scarlet?
What is her plan? Is she the mastermind or does she take order from someone?
What do the Aetherblades have to do with the Steam Creatures?Since it is all so predictable I would assume you should be able to give us answers to all these questions?
Her plan is to “input generic evil deed like usurpation of power”, she’s mastermind (but if she is in some generic Order, she can be latest chosen master), and, huh, they were creators (If they were Asuran I’d add "but something went wrong) of steam creatures.
GW2 is too predictable, not like GW1. Deal with it. Save this post and cry, when my rightness will be revealed in some of upcoming patches.
(edited by Katran.9186)
Its the bugs in this crap patch that bother me, makes alot of it impossible. Sick of these mini games being passed off as actual content, its pure fluff…
The only bug is oozes that stay at dome after time-out. And that’s not so awful
Tara Strong, ponybow, MLPrelated Helloween quest at GW1 and so on. Well-well-well, will we hear other pony voices in-game? I hope so, huh.
And btw – Tara Strong, Steve Blum – more of them, please!
Yeah, queen’s gauntlet is pretty nice, reminds of GW1 difficulties. I hope there’ll be more challenging content like Mad King ClockTower and QG. (Clocktower wasn’t that difficult but still it was interesting and more entertaining than any other JP due to its time limit and some tricky jumps.)
The characters really felt like they had personality, and the events happening during the opening ceremony were pretty interesting.
This. +1. Lore sucks yet, because it’s very predictable, fest after fest, dragons aren’t mentioned. But still that was the first quest with SOUL.
Thanks for Liadri Anet. Games are way too easy these days.
+1. Liadri is first thing that reminds me of some GW1 missions because of its difficulty.
Who can’t beat even previous bosses – eh, well, target audience of GW2, huh?
If Thaumanova is really another inquest kittenty kaboom… Oh God, I just don’t know what to do. Manifestation? Demonstration? Protest?
Tears everywhere
I totally support this idea. We need a demonstration of some sort. It’s politics
You know, I think the developers at Anet are going to have to work extra hard and come up with something epic to satisfy the people who wanted something epic. I just hope they succeed at that task.
Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha. Epic. Oh yeah. Like Zhaitan fight, kitten
Same here.

15 letters lengths.
I really dislike being 1-shotted from full health.
Combat just comes down to who pushed their button first. If Survivor used Aspect Arena’s combat system it would be a lot more fun.
Just press that V button on your keyboard. You aren’t even trying.
Oh, thanks, I’d never guess
This hint is simply can’t be scored. I’ve told my friends to spam me with letter. I had 10 letters, started to delete em and got like 6-7 more. And still hint isn’t achieved.
82\83 hints in achievment interface is irritating.
>It should be a skill shot to make it a lot more fun of a game and it would fix the absolute OP ability to be something that is difficult to hit
Try your V button. It will surprise you for sure
Voting for Evon Gnashblade is going to involve being back in Orr with the non-undead Risen. Do you want to go back to Orr?
Vote Kiel.
Orr has nothing to do with the First Fall, panda.
What’s the point of voting if we don’t see result? There’s nothing like vote bar.
For example, Evon can be leader with like 99% of votes and then ANet will tell us KIEL WON.
Or someone can buy and buy support tokens without any idea that his candidate is way ahead already.
Why can’t we have visual bar?
Like
Evon – Kiel

No offense to any Americans but the campaigning in this update is exactly what american politics looks like to the average European.
Not that bad. In Soviet Russia we have 2 candidates. Putin and Putin.
But atleast Putin isnt slagging off Putin to get votes.
We have much worse situation.

State channel. No photoshop.
I’m deadly serious. That’s what we had at last election. Now we have a meme “I can speak with a 146% confidence”
*That’s a chart of political parties and percentage of votes.

Personally I didn’t like the fact that personal story isn’t even near to the level of GW1 story.
Ok-ok, cliche over cliche, dragons and stuff. I can understand this, developers needed a reason to unite all races, they used the worst one but whatever.
1. No epicness. At all. I hoped that Zhaitan could be intresting, however I got “fight” against passive lizard on a wall.
2. Lack of intresting quests. I can remember now only pirate alco-contest and minister (what was his name?) party.
3. Lack of hardcore. Nuff said. Unskilled idiots are pleased.
4. Trahearne. I can’t say that I liked Kormir at Nightfall. But I didn’t hate her either. But this cucumber is quite annoying.
5. No atmosphere. One-two death? Of some useless characters? You could at least burn couple of villages. Really, dragons?
So, I got feeling that the plot was guided by some book like “How to write banal fantasy story for kids”
Sorry for my English.
You’re not going to fight primordus, lets just face that fact right now. You will probably fight a Great destroyer look alike. I hated the Great Destroyer so I think im gonna pass on that one. That said it would probably be more interesting to witness the fall of a god than chernobyl recreated. Even if all we do is fight some abbadon mobs n stuff.
hmmmm…“abbadon mobs n stuff” vs hordes of unleashed dragon minions, alternate dimension entities and angry displaced beasts from the world over all while an asuran style nuclear reactor is building to critical and you need to get out fast in the style of resident evil games and other survival games allong with “new” lore instead of lore we allready know about.
hmmmmm… your totally right vote nash today.
There i feel totally better now that ive got the sarcasm out of my bloodstream. You know what they say “A post a day keeps your inner warrior at bay”
Some stupid Asura experiment and ka-boom caused by a bunch of destroyers or epic fight against the God and margonites. I guess the choice is obvious.
We must write a petition to add both.
Colin told that he’d vote for Evon.
I don’t think it would work, though. While I really like the mechanic of playing as something else, having a new and unique skill bar, whenever that mechanic is introduced a lot of players complain (see the fight against Canach). Maybe – maybe - it could work in a dungeon dedicated exclusively to this, since players would know from the beginning what they would be getting into, but by placing it in the Fractals it would be a random option among many, which would likely lead to a lot of groans from the community.
It also has the issue of who the bosses would be. No Margonite champion would be a match to the combined power of the Five Gods. The only option that would make some sense would be to have Abaddon as the Fractal boss, with players fighting him multiple times, just like Subject Alpha in CoE; but even that would feel somewhat repetitive, instead of being something fun.
Lastly, and IMO far most important: it would banalise the gods. Grenth is the God of Death who reigns over Ice and the Underworld; his powers are sovereignty over those aspects of reality, not to do 10.000 damage in a area and fear the foes within it. By reducing the gods’ powers to mere skill numbers, even if very high numbers, we would be banalising their roles as almost mythical beings.
I would rather fight as soldiers under the gods, killing Margonites (I’m dying to see what Margonites would look like under the GW2 engine, they were beautiful in GW1 already), and watching as the colossal gods fight each other in the background. IMO, this would properly represent the gods as the beings they are.
We can be like Gods’ champions. Or avatars.
+Not banalising gods
+We can have not only Abaddon as a dangerous enemy
Why do people assume that we will fight Abaddon?
For all we know we will fight FOR Abaddon.Being a Margonite would also rock.
Margonite Reaper! I wanna be Margonite reaper!
Any “My little pony” related sheets, please?
Let’s think another way.
Why these fractals? Why now?
What we had before? Nothing epic or really intresting (In a lore sense)
So, can they have any connection? Source of power? God’s intervention?
(edited by Katran.9186)
Vote Evon Gnashblade Because He bring back a important part of Guild Wars in a Fractal one. Fractal This can be interesting for all new players of Guild Wars 2 that never have see one Margonite or Ancient Abbadon God, Kormir. This Fractal is important in Guild Wars 2 for old player of Guild Wars Because re-visits the Torment in style Guild Wars 2 and is much good and amazing. Enough of Kiev and principles within a game, we report back Guild Wars in Guild Wars 2 stop indecision!
You don’t listen to what designers say, do you?
It’s the First Fall. No Kormir.
Margonites? Probably.
Torment? No. Crystal Sea or Desolation itself.
Money > Moral
Keys > Waypoint
Abaddon > Thaumanova
Now I wonder how Mr. Johanson would feel about a designer posting on the forums when he should be working… and posting in support of the enemy party no less! My o’my…
Well, they should answer at threads, aren’t they? People want some info-leaks and stuff
It matters, but we all pretty much know exactly what happened at the Mouth of Torment.
Nobody knows what happened at Thaumanova…yet.
Don’t even begin. Another asuran ka-boom.
However, even with the knowledge of the past, battle of the Gods is much more intriguing
I want dervish as kittty-kitten but I don’t think he can be reworked for GW2.
Also we have holy warrior-caster – guardian.
OH GOD, IT WASN’T LITERALLY
Battle doesn’t matter. Opportunity of becoming a God – that’s the point.
>“I doubt Evon’s interest in the past isn’t entirely…religious.”
Just remember what Kormir did.
She became goddess in that battle.
As Gnash is kinda badboy, I don’t think that it’s all about election.
Crystal Desert → Desolation → The rest of Elona → Cantha → Space → Another galaxy…
Think of Crystal Sea (Desert now).
Think of Elona.
Think of Epicness.
For Evon! For Desolation! For Palawa Joko!
Would be fun if Gnashblade wanted to research the Fall to discover some source of power.
Yeap, the reason to vote for Evon is epicness at least.
And it can be preparation for adding Crystal Desert in future. And Elona. Oh, sweet dreams.
