My only concern is that they still say that they don’t want to create paradoxes with the Personal Story, so that new players won’t be confused.
Yeap, that’s a fail. But I guess they can create level 80 content which can cause “paradoxes”. If you haven’t done your story at 80 lvl – you either did it on another char or aren’t interested in it. Both variants are satisfactory.
The fact that Trahearne is not part of the living story even though it makes no sense for him not to get involved bothers me (it feels that he was cut out just because nobody likes him, even though it doesn’t make sense for him to be simply cut out), but what makes you think that the main story line was dropped?
We’ve got dragon lore recently, too. The Zephyrites with Glint and now Tequatl getting stronger.
Also, I would be upset if we killed every elder dragon during the first year of the game. What would we do after that? Really, it would be the worst possible thing for the story of the game.
Also, yes, it would be cool to fight Palawa Joko, but that’s for when we get to Elona. When, not if. Elona is pretty much a given, I would be more worried about Cantha if I were you.
Well we didn’t recieve even a word about dragons (till Tequatl Rising, which is revamp without much lore in it. Glint had, but I was talking about our existing enemies) for a year. Are they even main threat? We already have a lack of grimdark and stuff, when dragons just aren’t mentioned for a year – it kills all scraps of atmosphere that remained.
As for Elona and Cantha. Well, I like Elona much-much more, so I just hope for getting there in game. Cantha doesn’t bother me that much (I don’t like “asian” setting and I find Elona more intriguing)
That’s not really the complaint, it’s more along the lines of, “can we please drop this annoying villian sue and get on to stories with more interesting and better written characters?”
They should open Crystal Desert. It has awesome villain for GW2 players (And GW1fans will have a plotgasm). Fighting Palawa Joko and his Mordant Crescent won’t take two weeks.
It doesn’t need a nerf. It needs a turret mechanic that doesn’t put 100% of the event in the hands of just 6 people. Once they fix that it’ll actually be possible to beat it without unattainable levels of coordination.
They have to give commanders opportunity to kick people from turrets.

Grind=\=hardcore, boy. The only PVE hardcore was Liadri and 50+ level fractal (to get there you need to grind, what an irony). Now Tequatl. Maybe SAB Tribulation Mode.
SAB stuff wouldn’t kill atmosphere (I don’t watch what weapon is used to kill dragon, I look at dragon itself) but the truth is – there’s no atmosphere. Grimdark? Maybe its scraps at Orr, not more. We have terrible threat to the world? Let’s have a party! And a festival! And another party! Wooohooo!

I love Guild Wars 2 , I love every living story , I feel like I am par of it and story is happening in front of my eyes. I loved Scarlet and the event and couldn’t wait for next week. I was so exited what will happen again , what threat we will see, what will she do again.
But today I see the new update and it felt like a slap to face Sopranos ending. I understand it hasn’t ended yet and it will probably continue. And I will enjoy SAB of course but… I just can’t help but feel , let down, it is another semi Festival event, nothing major happening as far as we know. I really hope something else will happen.
Thank you Anet for the great work and amazingly paced content with this B2P game. I love the game but would like to see more seriousness to the world and the lore.

Basically when you have to push out content every 2 weeks you need a lot of fluff without much substance. Don’t expect any answers, they need new content in a new direction in 2 weeks, they don’t have time to be making cohesive stories.
I’d better wait a year for nice dialogues, logical plot, live characters, something but zergfest as PVE content, new PVP modes instead of THIS every 2 weeks.

If we’re going the Rule 63 DE A-Team Route, replace Faren with Majory. Faren would just be the guy that shows up on occasion for them to save from some kind of problem.
No, don’t change Faren. He’s the only one who seems to be, eh, live. Others are like robots, saying the text that everyone expects to hear. Very meager dialogues kill half of fun of quests. Imagine hypothetical situation, when we have to destroy bandit lair.
How we have it:
-I know where their lair is.
-Let’s go and kill them.
-On my way.
No situations when someone accidentally gets information and doesn’t even realize that. We (or at least NPC) can’t say, for example:Faren, you idiot, why didn’t you mention it earlier?
Everything is sidedly and predictable. Looks like we have ultrashort briefings, not dialogues.

The end fight with Scarlet wasn’t too easy and it wasn’t too hard. It was perfect!!

No. Liadri is/was perfect. Just because you can’t do something, doesn’t mean Anet should be making easy mode for all content. Please let us have our challenging content, and you can have Scarlet. Then everyone is happy!
No Liadri wasn’t perfect. Liadri herself as a boss fight was fine. What wasn’t fine was the camera and the cosmic rifts pulling you into death. It was impossible to keep an eye on the entire arena due to the camera to see if a rift spawned.
You got lucky with the RNG. I am not a fan of artificial difficulty. Liadri herself has never actually downed me. It was always either a clone (That both downs me and turns into a crystal), or the wells after i’ve been pulled into the AOE from a rift and then couldn’t get up in time to react.
Anyway yeah the playhouse was fun. I love Scarlet as a villain and look forward to seeing more of her.
I can do Liadri whenever I want, cause I win because of skill, not RNG. Camera is perfectly fine for me, I’m short human, not tall Norn.

I’m a big fan of Helena Bonham Carter since she gets to play all those sick and twisted characters in movies and i got a blast after i heard Scarlet talking.
Scarlet is like mix of all the chaotic and evil characters Helena played so far and i’m loving it.
I would really love hear from the people who designed the Scarlet character and what or who inspired them to create such a masterpiece character like Scarlet.
