Really, it comes down to NSP seems to be giving up. The further they get behind, the fewer I see playing. I HATE the idea of taking advantage of lack of numbers.

Coming from Ferguson’s crossing, I know IOJ got such a tickle out of taking all our stuff. I know IOJ did have a agreement with FC Commanders. They LET FC have 2nd to destroy the third team. So I paid the cash and moved to DH. I simply don’t agree with alliance.

Yes this week has put a smile on my face. We have taken IOJ keep a few times, So enjoyed steam rolling there zergs. Funny part is, we on DH KNOW karma is gonna bite us long and hard in the behind, its just a question of time.

So many people get uppity over the thought of an alliance…

Everything that IoJ has proposed is NOT an alliance its just a simple truce where we both attack the strongest server rather than each other…

But it seems people dont get that idea and immediatly go against it, IoJ is a stronger server than DR, FC and NSP we dont need any other servers help to beat those servers,
We just want a matchup that is close in score rather than the strong server getting a huge lead and the other 2 fighting for second.

Why is that so hard to understand? We dont want an alliance, we just want people to know who the real enemy is!!!

Make DH work for the points, make them work for the win, not have them do anything they wanted because they have such a large lead!

Why is IoJ so kitten that NSP doesn’t want to team up? it goes three ways, you guys shouldn’t freak out cause they took the castle. its obviously not a big deal anyway (except to seemingly everyone on my server.)

Simply put, DH has the most people overall in the most timezones overall, thus they ought to get treated like the biggest threat. But this is a philosophy only IoJ seems to have. As Bird put it, everyone would rather have fun and farm Wxp, and going 3-way is the easiest way to do that most of the time. Trouble is it leaves one team as a goliath most of the week.

It wasn’t just the castle. It’s been the constant poking back and forth. The castle was the last straw. Page 3 has a little more in depth explanation as to why.

Either way, we’re fed up. Diploscussions were nice, but both sides wanna hit each other anyway. Time for both sides to deploy badge dispen—-er SIEGE! Either way we’ll have fun.

Do the DH guys remember when we got SF to help us double team you? We both kept you in second until wednesday! Everyone was admitting that made that week fun rather than DH not having to worry about getting knocked out of first.

Sad to me that NSP and IoJ have 2 different understandings of fun!
And that whole SM thing, im on Noms side, why would NSP decide to hit SM when theres a shiny red corner there? I remember when it required both us and DR to knock SBI/EB out of eternal battle grounds hitting both SM and their corner!

NSP, why would you not take the opportunity to flip DH’s keep? You shouldnt need to be told what the plan is, it should be obvious!

EB has always been fair game for our oceanics, if they can flip everything, they will flip everything!
Crimmys talking about in general, if we have people we’re more likely to go hit DHs corner or DHs borderlands. Alliances will never work in WvW, theres just the logic of attacking the strongest server over the weaker! Just so you know we’re only trying to make this matchup more fun rather than 2 servers battling it out for second and the 3rd server getting a massive lead! Imagine how much closer the scores would be if we (IoJ and NSP) focused DH more?

EDIT: Also, like i tried explaining to DR, our oceanics are not the ONLY reason as to why we get so many points/get the lead.

And trophys are only given to servers that actually win <3

Yep, your ranger. This was last night (for me, don’t know what your timezone is) in IOJ BL around your northeast camp and tower. In all the weeks we’ve been matched up together, I’ve only seen your guardian a couple times. Ships passing in the night, I guess.

I only recently got my guardian to 80 so would’ve only seen it this week Its now pimped with the Corrupted Avenger <3

I got an infraction and blahblah for my previous post, but yeah what crimmy has said, they arent making a good name for themselves constantly getting caught out. I hope they take it into their own hands to sort it out! Or that Anet find away to prevent 3rd party programs :\

I’m curious, Starkk, and I hope you don’t mind the question. When you charge at the head of your zerg into a smaller enemy force and your troops are slow to follow, leading to your staking, do you rail at them in mapchat or just accept it as the hidden price of that commander pin? I ask because the common response to that by (certain) commanders on my server seems to be “see ya I’mma go to EB now,” but I’ve seen you persevere through it a number of times.

I just wonder why so many people are afraid of dying (that and im used to my gaurdian and being tanky) When i know its a smaller force that we’re dealing with, the fight can be over and won a lot quicker if we all charge in, though most of the time its just me, its always a good laugh for me at least, and im amazed the times that i dont get flagged and it actually works

But no i dont run off to other maps, ill keep headbutting a gate until its ours no matter how long it takes!

One quick callout to our guys in DH borderlands and bam, we wipe both zergs and lose nothing…but our foothold in DH borderlands allowing them to increase their lead, good job NSP!

Whats game breaking is when people hop on an AC traited through WXP points and then play in windowed and shrink the client to be about 3-5 inches long and leave it as wide as possible. This allows you hit over most any wall and destroy siege inside a tower. ANET knows this is going on and has done nothing. I guess its perfectly fine to exploit windows mode to hit places you can’t hit with an AC while in full screen mode.

Take an AC place it at the foot of a tower, go to windowed mode, shorten the screen up, keep it wide and you will see the amazing places you can hit. If you know AC’s you can tell when guild’s/players do this.

So lets tell everyone how to do it so there can be more of it and make the problem worse

Where have these numbers been IOJ? Are you a fickle server like SBI, when it comes to wvw?

A lot of it has to do with us being midweek rebounders. It happens a lot.

Living story type events usually throw a heavier wrench in our spokes than many servers.

I’m one of the more active commanders and even I was farming my kitten off this week. Blegh. Ripple effect from that obviously worked it’s way down to a lot of people, no doubt.

Frankly we went into this thinking SBI would just come out crushing both of us (crushing meaning have at least a 20k point lead) and AR at least holding their own but playing for 2nd.

We were DEAD wrong.

After last week ive been taking a lot of time off

I too expected SBI to just stomp us like months back!
If i had any inclination the scores would be this close this far into the week i wouldve been pulling double shifts! If IoJ was in force like we were last week this would be one of the most balanced matchups. Especially as our Oceanics have something to fight. Either IoJ has gotten stronger, or SBI has gotten weaker, because all i can remember is barely holding Overlook with 15 people against 40-50 SBI and 20 golems!!!

Also SBI please don’t treat us like equals, both SBI and AR outman IoJ most of the day and I find it funny that you talk to us like we’re a threat since we don’t even have the numbers to make a push on more then one map at a time.

You are a threat if you happen to hit us while AR are pushing into us at the same time elsewhere. It forces us to make sacrifices and pick and choose what matters more to us, regardless of if you’re outmanned or whatever. This is especially relevant when our entire BL is turning a color other than ours for the entire week because we can only queue one map at a time in NA primetime. Don’t underestimate what you can do with 20 people who aren’t afraid of death; we’ve been there and felt it.

Would not believe the stuff i have done with one smart AC placement! You will only need not even 5 people to hold a fully upgraded tower, not your entire zerg. Both AR and SBI have the numbers to fend off a 2v1 from us, just have to use them!

We are also not complaining. We know that the majority of the reasons why you are currently in the lead is our own fault. We were just making a comment that you likely did not meet much resistance. While when we took your borderlands we likely did.

When you post that score and you pvd to get that score, its not something to be proud of. Many servers will have issue when you brag about high points against no enemies. The AR group that defended Hills in our BL’s had something to be proud but you really think that pvdooring those points shows anything? It shows me that AR had to wait for us to log off to do anything last night, and then posted wanting to brag about it. If you don’t understand that then IDK :/

Against your server? Yes its something to be proud of! You guys took a massive lead from reset and AR have managed to catch back up, dont take it away from them!

One of the main reasons IoJ has managed to stay up so high in the tiers is because our oceanic presence is a lot bigger then most servers this low! (not as of late, the numbers we’re pulling is poor, fairweathers and this new event doesnt help!)

The reason DR complained so much about PvDooring! Dont make it seem like its the enemies fault when its your server thats lacking coverage! AR saw the oppurtunity to take the lead, they took it and legged it!

DR? lol. DR does nothing but complain about numbers and zerging. Don’t think anyone on SBI has done that in this thread. I am sure AR is feeling great about how they have performed this week, but worry about your own server man. For the most part you guys are playing it REALLY safe. Staying behind towers and AC’s. You know you are not in the points battle, so like go fight.

We were massively out manned against DB and we were in the open field ALL night during NA prime time and learned A LOT. You are a commander, make this a learning experience and push your server against larger numbers. Nothing to gain or keep but kittening points when you stay in your towers. Or you just can just post on the forums about how great AR is and how happy your for them and continue to sit and watch the game from the sidelines.

Dont judge the whole server from the times that you play on.
I havent commanded all that much as of late.

The way myself and my group/zerg work out if we can beat an opponents group/zerg is by running at them! I personally do not sit behind tower walls unless its clear that no matter what we’d do outside those walls, we’ll get wiped.

I think its obvious to those that are still playing that our server is no where near as strong as it was last week! If we had those same kind of numbers we wouldnt be this far behind in the points.

I’m sure you’ve noticed that we don’t generally need our zergs to be bigger this week though Giraffe. Besides which, if we do temporarily, it’s just a matter of having a chat to the other commander on TS. It’s quite difficult to fight 2 servers properly with 1 commander when you’re being explicitly ganged on, although it seems like that’s no longer so much of an issue :P

This week is sad for us, we can barely have enough people for 2 commanders let alone fight on 2 fronts! (during oceanics, our NAs have been stomping!)

I think youll find theres a lot of small teams trying to defend/attack places in IoJ, we try not to zerg up with everyone (Even when its needed!)

In IoJ its common courtesy to not tag up if another commander is doing their thing, we let the commander know we’re there if they need to tag out at all.

If you have enough people in your guild group that you need the tag head to a borderlands with no commander?

well, I am so impressed with AR, you can field lots of numbers up against us, and I am love to have some field fighting with you guys. However IOJ really make me disappointed. IOJ has zero contribution to this matchup, they can keep up the score just because we are busy and having fun with AR(I am still impressive with your numbers of omega golems, I never saw any others server such as SoS, Mag or CD will be like that). IOJ should practice more your own tactics and directly facing us on the battlefield but not hiding behind walls or follow AR’s tail to cap useless towers and camps.

As soon as we saw we were up against SBI we knew we werent going to even get second. We came off a huge win by stomping DR and FC and we had a lot of fairweathers, now our servers empty which is disappointing.

Last night (i think) SBI was storming us in EB with golems and AR had us outmanned in our own borderlands (that should never happen) Gunthix tkitten commander had 10 people with him, i had 10 people with me in IoJ! We usually have 40-50+ people on during that time and we couldn’t even scrounge up 20?!

Not complaining about the double team, if that didnt happen we wouldnt have lost a single keep (had a lot of experienced people on) the garrison hit caught us off gaurd and you were at inner before we reacted garri turned red as our eb keep turned green!
But as soon as we lost it we sieged up woodhaven and trebbed that wall down! IoJ will never give up no matter how hard we get knocked down.

We’ve enjoyed the fights this week, though we haven’t seen many roaming, organized groups on IoJ or SBI (5-10 mans). This isn’t a troll post, do you guys have any? We’d love to watch for the tag while we’re out and about.

You may see GEN roaming around and generally biting off more than we can chew.
When im not tagged up i like to see how much we can accomplish with so few people

This is the best night of WvW i have had in a long time.

Getting Bay reinforced in SBI borderlands.

AR (for some stupid reason) Decides to attack us in bay, they wiped on south inner losing their golem. SBI decide to join the party and they come to south inner and lose 3-4 catas and ACs. AR then go to north inner and wipe again losing another golem. SBI then come to north inner, give up, retreat and decide to treb from the cliff
AR then decides to go and wipe SBI and kill their trebs thus saving our keep.

Mind you IoJ has been outmanned during this long battle with ~10 people defending and hurriedly building arrow carts!
Best night of my life and its not even over yet!

Walls are damaged, Gates are broken and we’re still standing strong.
Just goes to show strength is not always in numbers!
BRING IT STORMBLUFF AND ANVIL!!!!

May have wiped our small outmanned group 5 or so times

BUT the jokes on you SBI, we killed the grub, badges are ours!

It’s most certainly not the reason you are the way you are. The idea you had anything to prove to DR doesn’t change anyone’s opinion of your server other than your own validation to be proud of where you are from. Not sure what wounded your pride so deeply, but most of the things said in the thread’s entirety regarding coverage are fairly accurate.

The NA prime time match-ups have been very close every night between all 3 servers and were there no huge gap in overnight presence, this would be anyone’s fight with the winner most likely being determined tonight and anyone’s game.

It would probably benefit you to be a little more humble in victory, just saying…

I felt the need to prove to DR that we could be them and as a whole we are a better server. We have obviously done that and my forum ranting will slow down a lot more now that it is clear

Havent denied a single thing about coverage except when people are saying we’re only winning because of our oceanics, it wasnt just us that got us the 100k lead.

Im humble dont you worry, i could not be happier to see DR lose by so much after talking all that smack way back when, its hilarious.

DR have been talking smack for god knows how long about our server and the fact that we were able to spawn camp them during NA times is amazing…seeing thats when they are their strongest.

By the way its your fault if you get spawn camped, there was no reason for you to keep pushing down those stairs, go the other 2 exits, Anet implemented them for a reason. Or theres 3 other borderlands where you can go to

the funny part is that DDLG is a good guild, but there are so many much better guilds. I would hate if IoJ ever had to deal with them.

All of DR went into this match up knowing we couldn’t win due to our poor night coverage, anyone who did was fooling themselves.

I wish i could be bothered to go find all those threads where DR said they were going to stomp us, those people are the reason im like this on the forums, im just glad we finally got to show DR how strong we actually are without a powerhouse server, but its now obvious DR will always find a reason to try and put our server down one way or another and my forum ranting will stop after this week
