The biggest problem Anvil Rock faced was this lousy ranking system. The best we could achieve was 2nd place in this tier. Which put us up against Yaks Bend and NSP for 2 straight weeks. Every week we lost players and morale. This week , even tho we are against a lesser foe compared to Yaks and NSP, the losses we’ve suffered hurt us more than our enemies ever could.

Free transfers killed this server, had folks been forced to stick it out we’ve have a good thing here.

Sadly , things aren’t going to get any better anytime soon. We’ll get 2nd place again, and again next week be paired up with a server that will have won the match up over the weekend. Anvil Rock is looking at 12 days of crappy WvW because this lame system keeps us stuck in this bracket.

Please don’t misunderstand our complaints. We aren’t complaining that you bring or have more players in wvw. It’s our fourth week at this we are used to it, we’re just tired of hearing from you guys how its skill / organization and not plain numbers.

Now at least a few of you are admitting it now, and that’s a step forward on your end.

Lets have fun this week, lets WvW our hearts out but but don’t come here and lecture to us about how if we only organized better we would win. We fully accept the fact that we don’t have the numbers to properly use sound tactics, which is why we play the we we do.

Here is a little history lesson for you pros in Darkhaven.

Week 1 we were stuck with Yaks’ Bend, currently ranked 13th.
Week 2-3 we were stuck with NSP, currently ranked 15th.

So excuse us in Anvil Rock if we aren’t impressed with your virtual domination of the map. What your fighting now are the die hards that wont’ quit and jump ship to a winning server.

Here’s another tip. You’re bragging about beating up on the lower 25% of the entire server list. Nobody is impressed.

-Nobody wants to hear your servers drama about how you are making things work even though you lost guilds, we’ve heard it before.
-We’ll have fun, it just wont’ be the type of fun you had in the previous bracket.

Kodiack, with all due respect, your bad attitude is not necessary. Anvil Rock is not the only server ever to be hugely outnumbered, we’ve had it the same as you have. I get that it’s frustrating, and that you’re frustrated, that does not mean that you need to act rudely. We cannot help that you guys are undermanned. The guy you quoted was just meaning to say that you can either give up, or try to get your act together, that’s your choice.

Also, if any Anvil Rock person in EB sees this, <3. I’m the Mesmer who has been sleeping/dancing with y’all :P.

Once again, we have someone from the server with the numbers advantage telling Anvil Rock that only if we got our act together we would stand a chance. This is the 4th week in a row we’ve had the pleasure of being lectured by a server that does nothing but win by numbers alone. Its getting old and tiresome.

We’re in 3rd place… just like NSP is in their bracket. The difference is that we never bragged about how awesome our organization and skills were.

I mean how is it working out for you guys?

If you guys were only aware of the beating we Darkhaven people took last week at the hands of SoR.

So don’t give up yet, I hope this match is somewhat even…but I haven’t seen the current score. All I know is last night when I logged about 10pm CST, we were not in first place, but I saw the screen above in which we controlled almost the whole map?

Darkhaven is not some powerhouse server, 2 weeks ago we had the best matchup in wvwvw so far, but last week, well, last week sucked and as a result people xferred off our server, so I am a bit surprised how this is going so far!

Anyways, best of luck to everyone, hopefully we can have some fun!

My point was that you don’t need organization or skill, you have numbers. You will not face a larger force at this tier. What you may not understand is that on this tier you are the zerg server. Nobody will ever see any organization or skill simply because all we (AR and FC ) see from you is the numbers advantage.

All week long we’re going to hear how DH has better organization or skill , but all we will ever see on the battlefield is a numbers advantage.

Take a day off from DH come over to our server for a day or two and you’ll see what we mean.

I agree, Bladie. All I’m saying is that aside from our numbers advantage, we also do enjoy strong night time organization IMO.

Its only the numbers that matter. You forget that we’ve heard this song before from Yak’s Bend and NSP. “We’re better organized and skilled” its not numbers.

What I hope is becoming clear to servers above Anvil Rock. There is a massive gap in WvV participation when you come down to this tier.

If all goes as the past 3 match-ups have gone, DH should win by a massive score 200k+ due simply to numbers, if it isnt’ clear now wait till Monday when folks go back to work and WvW is virtually empty except for prime time hours.

At least now that BP lost that 300 man WvW guild, the lower bracket might be competitive.

I stated this in an earlier thread that was deleted.

How BP and AR see this currents match-up. NSP wins due to the following 3 factors.

1-Greater population during primtime.
2-Greater population during off hours
3- Skill / Tactics / organization.

How NSP sees why they won.

1- Tactics/ Skill / organization

Unfortunately this will not be resolved until NSP moves up a bracket and can test their skill/tactics against other servers that can field equal numbers on the battlefield.

because of the WvW bracket system, the would have to turn off 3 servers at once. Not something they are going to do.

Wanna bet that NSP wont’ be posting any scores of next weeks match-up?
