Kaineng is a watered down version of Dragonbrand. Strong oceanic, weak NA. They just havent’ been tested yet so who knows if they are willing to be carried by the oceanic guilds.

Our next Tier will be relatively difficult…but honestly with Maguuma gone by the time we get there, and BP and DR both weakened….I think it’ll basically be a repeat of this Tier except possibly with a little more numbers, just not much. After that…we will hit the brick wall until we get back in the “Tactics” game.

Maguuma will be replaced with Emery Bay, which is twice as big.

Kaineng is a weaker version of Dragonbrand. Their Oceanic will make all the points for them while the NA plays defensive.

Next week will be a rude awakening for the NA player base. Tier 5 has already broken BP and DR, Kain might be the third. Their oceanics might carry them thru T5, same as Dragonbrand, but if they ever face T4 their oceanic advantage will be gone.

Well, one reason why you hear all the crap from BP on here is not just because of all the guilds leaving, but the fact that they are leaving to servers that we are still playing against. Sad part is there are still 1-2 that are considering moving, one of which has players that openly laugh and don’t help while watching others are doing their best against almost impossible odds. Very frustrating times in BP right now.

Almost hoping we fall next week, to be honest, because our favorite punching bags AR are awaiting our return. Kodiak, I think there are many people that will corpse dance over you.

Despite having similar numbers, Kaineng HAS managed to take the lead and hold it. During NA primetime (last nights reset) it is essentially a 2 man fight. AR and KAIN. The PPT were pretty even. Check my score screenshot, your points lead is coming from NSP nodes. Our objective wasn’t to win or take the lead last night. It was to test your strength.

With that being said, lets all have fun this week. Leave the chest thumping to the apes.

Its not entirely true, if NSP wasn’t in EB and wasn’t on their BL they wouldn’t be splitting our forces from focusing on you. NSP relieved a lot of pressure we could have brought against your server if it was 1 on 1.

It was a 3 way fight and NSP was fighting tooth and nail for what they had. And they were primarily fighting us. Don’t talk down to NSP so hard, they have a lot of fight in that server.

The big bad wolf that Kain was painted to be , isn’t so. After reading all the drama from forums I expected a super beast, thankfully it wasn’t so.

A few notes from tonight.

-Its really clear when we are fighting against Kains old guard and the transfer guilds. The level of play is just that much crisper.

-SoS guild : your sneaky tactics superior siege makes you stand out amongst the zerg , kudos, it surely keeps us on our toes.

-I’ll take you at your word that Friday night reset isn’t your strong point, but seeing as you will likely be in T5 next week, work on your own BL defense. It will be your downfall in T5, they like to pick on the new kid and move into your BLs.

I’ll be looking forward to taking back our BLs in the morning, as I’m sure your oceanics will setup shop. Lots of Karma to be made this weekend

It’s the first time in a month we’ve encountered serious opposition, the first time EVER since our increase in WvW population. It’ll no doubt take a while to get everyone in proper strategy mode.

That being said, Friday night reset is probably our WEAKEST time of the week. Other servers tend to have just as many people on as we do if not more. Even with all the new additions Kaineng is still mainly an Asian/Oceanic server. Look for us to strike when you sleep

That’s what we expect from your night crew. You’ll likely win this match over the 7 day haul but you better gear up fast, T5 ain’t no joke… just ask DR/BP.

Devona doesn’t have more players we just have less fair weather players that leaves WvW when they lose. That I wouldn’t tell why because that’s what makes us special.

Seeing as how there isn’t much Wv3 talk going on I started to look at how we (AR) ended up were we are today. With Kaineng coming up next week I also wanted to see how this entire server transfer was working out for our previous foes and how it may end up working out for Kaineng. Here is what I came up with.

Total number of servers that have fallen on hard times and have in the ranks (6): 1)Darkhaven, 2)NSP, 3)ET, 4)HOD, 5)SF, 6)GoM.

I then took the ranks of the 3 servers prior to ranks crossing paths with any of these 6 servers. GoM for both AR and BP , ET for DR.

I got this:

BP=20
AR=21
DR=22

Subtract 6 from those 3 numbers.

AR 21-6 =15

BP 20 – 6 = 14

DR 22 – 6 = 16

Now DR passed AR so flip those numbers and you get,
AR=16
DR=15
BP=14

Guess what next week projected match up has those 3 ranked? You guessed it!

So what does it all mean?

That the guild transfers caused more drama and hype than they did results. That the 6 servers dropping in rankings had more to due with the current ranking than any massive gain in population or any perceived amount of skill/organization.

Kaineng might be the first one to break from this, but lets see how things work out over the next few weeks.

and according to match up predictions, NSP is slated to drop a tier not DH.? crazy.

Tier 4 and 5 is the wall that breaks up servers. Darkhaven and NSP hit those tiers and slowly fell apart.

Dragonband used those tiers to rebuild and have gone from struggling in T5 to #1 in T4.

After rising up the lower tiers with little to no challenge, both BP and DR are struggling in T5. BP has already lost some big guilds.

It’s a test that your server leadership needs to pass, they can either give up and fall apart or push thru and move up.

It’s not about Giving up. It’s about 7 weeks of being Steamrolled while sleeping, about the big guilds leaving, about ANet who can’t look at current data while scheduling match-ups, about free transfers … and it’s about Darkhaven rebuilding, retraining and trying to stay confident that we’re not just wasting our time in WvW during our peak hours.

But clearly, its going to be another long kittening week for DH.

And for the … person… who claimed there was some kind of alliance between DH and AR … I’d like to say, pay attention, or follow me as I watch an entire map of AR members run up the cliff to Sunnyhill. NSP has SM, and 480 points, if there’s an alliance against you, its the biggest Fail Alliance in GW2 wvw history.

Winning isn’t everything. AR has one win under its belt, we have fun even in a loss.

DH just needs to regroup, take a week off if you need it, but don’t give up.

I’m seeing a lot of “This is a worthless server,” and, “No point fighting a worthless fight,” over here in NSP. It’s really sad watching this happen. If you hadn’t guessed already, those quotes came from people in our own borderlands. It would appear that we can’t control our own land while DH and AR are left unscathed, which leads me to my next point. I’ve seen a lot of “DH and AR have an alliance,” which I’m not sure about. It would appear true, but every so often I see some Green pop up in Blue and some Blue pop up in Green. Any confirmations on this would be kind, as I could tell all of those in our BL to stop assuming things if it isn’t true. It’s a shame to see a once cheery server become a monster of it’s own creation that ever so slowly eats away at itself only to make it smaller. More and more I see people saying that they’ll transfer servers just so they don’t have to lose in WvWvW. I want to see them grow-up and realise that losing isn’t always the end, nor is it a reason to give up. Just endure through it whilst doing the best you can. We had a good start; they can use that as hope for the future.

Are you trying to say from what has been witnessed it isn’t?
NSP has proven it is a better server than AR. It has changed but not enough that we still wouldn’t be close behind or better than AR still.

The idea of a patsy is that someone has to lose. And since AR are showing little ambition they have decided to play on the defensive, settle for second place and kick down NSP, it is what it is.
When the mountain that is DR is removed from the scenario we will see.

I know what a patsy is you numbnut, I was just surprised that you would call your own server a patsy.

We can disagree on strategy , but the results so far have favored AR. We’ll see how things play out over the coming weeks.

Grind down the big guy which creates the numbers to produce a long game after the short game is complete.

Maybe some of the people who are more familiar with the system can comment on this one. Does DR benefit more by having a bigger point spread versus NSP than against AR since NSP was the green server at one time. I think your rating also depends on past performance of the servers you are facing.

If so, it would make sense for DR to go after NSP more than AR. Correct me if I’m wrong (which I may very well be).

Long game:
DR should focus on beating NSP and AR
NSP should focus on beating DR if not possible, beat AR.
AR should focus on beating NSP

Short game:
DR should focus on beating NSP and AR

AR should focus on beating DR

Play the short game if you have the numbers to dominate both realms. Play the long game if you don’t.

I’m guessing you watched like 2 or 3 of them and then made an analytical leap of saying thats all he does in his videos, lol. I think the main problem isn’t with us fighting zergs or harassing supply lines or uncoordinated players. Its the group of guild players that we often fight that double spam their dodge rolls, miss easy to make attacks, don’t utilize their class effectively, and don’t focus fire…that is the problem. BTW Kodiak whats your class and guild?

Also @ SoS. If you REALLY want to find us, just ask around in the borderlands. Shouldn’t be too hard to find us when we’re out and about. (Canadian translation: Oout and aboot)

Might I suggest that those who are the most dedicated to AR set up a public vent/mumble/teamspeak to get your PUGs on the same page with your more organized groups?

While the PUGs were obviously not on the same vent, the guild members that were together inside of the PUGs probably were. I don’t think that Kodiack realizes (or he perhaps fail to recognize) that there have been some full 80 guild groups inside of the “mindless zergs” we’ve fought.

Full 80’s in a guild, not in vent, not calling out targets, not fully geared , not out with the intention to gank , same as PUGs.

PreMades are called that for a reason. They are Premade with a purpose and function. Voice chat is used to communicate, roles are assigned, targets are called. They function as a unit.

They will always have a major advantage over any group of any composition that isn’t.

The videos that you post will always be, Premade vs PUG. I’m sure it impresses others with similar goals , but a lot of us have been around the MMO world long enough to see it for what it is, players looking for thrills not a challenge. To that , /yawn. I’m just not impressed.

I guess im not sure why yall ripping these videos. Even if it is vs pugs, they are still impressive and fun to watch.

These videos just show that we need to up our game (on a personal level). I think our overall map strategies are good and we have some great generals. But man, we got quite a few players that are in dire need on training for the small battles.

What it shows is that:

Premade vs pug, advantage premade
Premade with team speak vs PUG without, advantage premade
Premade calling out targets vs PUG that isn’t , advantage premade

Nothing new in an MMO world. Google, Premade vs PUG

Why? Because DR used superior tactics and communication, they were able to utilize both small-unit groups and large-unit groups. NSP is not BAD….DR is simply better at this moment. Now stop taking it as an insult and maybe look for ways to improve Server unity/usefulness, utilize all of your Guilds and strengths to their utmost.

What I, and I daresay others in Kaineng want to know, is what is fighting NSP like? They can’t be DR could they? Does their strategy involve things like putting lots of AC and cat coverage on the bridge in the BL eastern keep like ET did? It slowed down our assault considerably, as this eng can attest. Or will we roll over NSP like we have FC and ET in T8? Guess we will find out very soon.
