I’m just going to cover quickness at the moment. However it really feels like the overall nerf to quickness was done because of time warp and the CoF farm. So that they could prevent the easy grinding of money and gear. This would nerf ectoplasm gain as well from CoF token exchanges.

This would make it so you have to play the game longer for things such as the legendary weapons. This in my opinion is a very rotten thing to do and is slowing pushing the game toward that like a second job mark if you ever hope to be relevant for content before it is pushed aside for new content.

The PvP change excuse really doesn’t really fly as the Anet team has shown they have the power and know how to make skills act differently in a PvP setting over a PvE setting. Which could have been done for the few skills that were truly broken in PvP.

Also Time Warp as a skill could have been changed so that other classes such as the Ranger which -DEPENDED- on quickness to be relevant as a DPS CLASS at ALL. Would have not have had a LARGE CHUNK of their dps ripped away from them! People already didn’t want many classes like the Ranger over others and now with this nerf…. The warrior pulls even further ahead for really bad reasons.

Way to either be selfish or not be thinking things through Anet. Way to go. =/

It was more about ppl able to kill some one and execute them before they could react. At the same time it was about having 5 ppl kill bosses any boss (well more then CoF boss) in 5 or so sec.

Which they promised PvP and PvE wouldn’t overlap like that. They could have changed quickness for things like Spvp without effecting the outside PvE.

Also the 5 boss thing was pretty much always just time warp and warriors in pretty much all cases. So it was giant nerf for everyone instead of just working on the real issue which was time warp and warriors.

Which all this sucks even more because they said they wanted to buff other classes up the level of the warrior. Yet, they are more focused on bringing many classes down in trying to balance things like time warp because fixing them properly.

The nerf also failed to fix things such as the CoF spam run dead boss in seconds issues. Everyone I’ve talked to of any merit that I’ve run that spam easy run with noticed only at most a single minute difference. So while it really hurt classes like the Ranger it is a shrug off to the 4 Warrior/1 Mesmer groups. So the problem still remains because they fixed it in a dumb way.

I’d love for you guys to see improvements to the system. Truthfully myself I went in and saw it was just as unbalanced in the tournament section as WoW arenas are to this day. So I stopped playing it all together. I thought they promised a unique set of fun skills balanced just for spvp type stuff. Not just toned down stuff that can still nail peeps for 9k+ a shot which is half your health.

Glad you guys have fun with it but I got tired of unbalanced pvp long before this game came out. So hope you get your improvements.

I main a mesmer, and I thought the Time Warp skill was too powerful. And you know a skill is too powerful when people insist you take it with you, even if you’d enjoy taking another skill in its place.

I’ve seen time and again people saying that if you’re not using Time Warp, you’re playing the game wrong as a mesmer. That’s a sure sign the skill is OP.

At least some people will be able to run CoF again with a pug now, that weren’t able to before.

There’s more to balancing again than the concern of a couple of individuals. People who complain about changes like this are looking at trees, not the forest. Anet is responsible for the forest.

One last thing. If nerfing a single skill that can only be used once every three minutes is the cause of such rage, it was OP anyway.

Read the other posts. Many classes have quickness mechanics built in that offered short burst dps increases and were needed to do their job. The nerf changed more then time warp. Think and read before you speak.

Ranger which -DEPENDED- on quickness to be relevant as a DPS CLASS at ALL. Would have not have had a LARGE CHUNK of their dps ripped away from them!

These forums are home to some of the most extreme hyperbole I’ve ever seen. You’re hardly losing any DPS by this change. You lose more DPS from swapping to a melee pet and having it have to run to the target than you lose from the 50% reduction in attack speed for two seconds. As for the utility QZ, everyone got hit by the same nerf, so you’ll just have to make do.

Your comment made me facepalm so hard. Seriously it did.

That sounds like a great way to keep your customer base happy. By telling them to beep off for wanting to use the skins across multiple characters.

This RNG with black lion is just crap.

I would not despair of it yet. I am hopeful that we will get at least one voucher for the skin per account for completing all the living story elements. But we will see.

So it caters to people who use two handed weapons then that only need one voucher? Screw those people that use two one handed weapons! Also screw all those people that use the swap weapon option as well! Wouldn’t want a matching set in a game all about cosmetics at all!

Sure they added a new zone.. but that is about it for Southshun Cove.

Which leads us back to my topic. If they recognize the zone is currently lacking much in the way to lure in adventurers, they might be using the Living Story to lay the foundation for something that will eventually rectify that problem.

It would be kinda cool to see a town built around combat with the Norn and Charr. Course it would be nice if a zone added was worthwhile to go into for anything before months down the road have to pass. Where a bad story will be used to -maybe- do something with it.

Are you kidding? Not even going to touch the story but the nerf to quickness is horrible. They are doing it in reply to the CoF spam pretty much but doing it for that reason alone is kitten There are a great many classes that use it as a utility such as Rangers and Thieves that depend on it for our dps all the time. Not just during a single spam run.

This is a huge punch in the face to several already undesired classes for most types of dungeon runs.

Plenty of sunshine, beautiful beaches, and all the passion fruit you can eat. I mean, sure, there are giant crab-octopus monsters that will eat your face…but what paradise doesn’t have its share of problems?

I thought they were giant tentacle va… nevermind. This will probably be deleted but it’s the truth!

Seriously though besides the Karka Event disconnects and such. The main event was the only real reason to go there. The karka are not fun to farm with bad rates on blood and there is a lack of anything good to do with karka shells or passion fruit.

I really have to go with this guy. This stuff really looks like redone CoF stuff and I might have it on a few characters but that is because CoF is the best place to cash spam. Not because I like it. Oh.. and saving my few fine transmutation stones for something else. =/

Thought something better would have come from the -molten alliance-. You know.. considering the dredge have all that old Dwarf technology and the Flame Legion has decent enchanters. Maybe something.. more dwarfish… I dunno.

Edit: I know Flame Legion is all fire and the Dredge is forgey type stuff? But the flame look is so overdone right now. Should have done another story arc if this is how it was going to end up looking.

The content isnt even done and you’re all complaining. This is part 3 of 4. It wasn’t meant to be a huge update, merely a bigger update than 1 and 2

Due to their track record so far that isn’t a very good defense. Also content should be fun and rewarding at every level just like the GW2 keeps saying. Not just at the end part of the content.

Greg, you are the reason systems like this are set more to abuse the player base and gambling addictions. Rather the be designed as content that everyone would love to be apart of and get something out of.

You need to remember this is a service industry and as such the company is here for you. Not the other way around! They are here to provide a service that you paid for or support that is on par within reasonable expectations. The fact is people paid to play GW2 and many people pay good money for gems as well to support a game they love. These people deserve better bang for their buck.

Also there is a fine line between designing good content to earn money that treats the player base like a friend. Rather then designing content that caters to gambling addictions that is sub-par. This content was designed to take advantage of the whale player base that will spend all they have because of the gambling rush because it is easy money. Instead of designing good content everyone can afford and desire to buy all the time.

This is a lousy way of doing thing an apologist like you need to stop defending it. Capitalism is supposed to let bad ideas fail not be propped up on high as something a company deserves.

The christmas weapons didn’t sell because they were awful looking KorKor. I mean, wooden toys, not exactly high on the looking cool list now is it?

I did talk about that in my post ya know…. Course the wooden toys were the ones gotten for free off the daily stuff. So that was just fine by me and I enjoyed them. My post was speaking more of the paid gem store gingerbread weapon skins that were up at the same time if you saw them compared to the Halloween skins like the Greatsaw.

Problem is the only lesson they learned off Halloween was that the bloated whale spenders are strong in the game. So they can earn massive cash off of them easy instead of putting more work into it for peeps like us.

I think the Christmas weapons didn’t sell as well as they’d have liked which is partly why they reverted back. Course I think the Halloween skins were loads better then the Christmas gem store ones and that is why they sold less. The Halloween skins were unique per type of weapon and some like the Greatsaw had some cool effects. While the Christmas ones were all exactly the same which diminished the unique factor of the effect and look. Not to mention the Halloween skins looked like something you could use all year due to their unique style. The gingerbread really seemed like a Christmas theme that only works well at Christmas. Maybe a scythe that had a little Christmas bulb on it with frayed wiring like the Nightmare Before Christmas could have worked year round? I dunno.

I think they missed the point on what weapon skins people would pay cash for so they could own it.

Stop being so entitled. What do you want, for anet to design some, whole new Molten Alliance dungeon and have these skins as rewards for tokens from said dungeons with every stat spread and equally cool looking armor too?

Next I suppose you’ll say you want the medium armor to not be a tench coat, or town clothes to be usable in combat? Where will it end?!

Than they’d have to do actual WORK and put EFFORT into these updates, and that is just the very definition of entitlement.

No sir you will buy those keys and you will enjoy every second of your RNG illegal in some countries gambling for skins.

Reread post due to reply. Sarcasm is refreshing though. Due to the nature of apologists and trolls for companies. One can get used to just skim reading the first few sentences to stream line getting past the same old rhetoric.

So far all I’ve really heard about this on every forum I visit can be summed up pretty easy.

I liked Rox but only because the Brahm story was so bad I had to settle on something or pretty much paint the entire story as bad. Which I like the game so I didn’t really want to do that so I settled but still jabbed on Rox because it was still bad in its own right.

Wish they’d hire real writers and take more time. That or wait to create actual expansion packs because I’d rather way for good things then get stuff of B movie level.

Kinda knew the Rox one was going to be horrid without even being told the writing was on the wall from her looks to back story. It is a real shame the Braham story ended up being worse as Norn look like they’d be really easy to write for with all the spirits, ale, and hunting.

No no, it’s very much alright. I don’t mean to come off as rude or aggressive either. I can completely understand you, as I have been gaming since good old UO as well. There’s definitely a lot of stereotypical tropes I would love to see extinguished within MMOs that are still dragging along today. I don’t wish for that door to be closed on you. However as someone who has gamed in these type of games since UO and EQ. I am very tired of seeing these tropes make it into these games. I’ve seen them make it in and what comes with them so so many times I pretty much already know what is going to happen before it even hits and it is always the same.

I love GW2 and how it finally gave me a race I really enjoyed playing that was creative and here for me. Not to cater to some teenager with a plush anime fetish or a teenage male still dealing with a kitten they can never get rid of so they role female toons to look at the butt all day. I’d just really really really really hate to lose that and if this door is opened trust me. You can’t shut it again for this type of game. Not without backlash.

I guess having more options like a cutesy option is a bad thing for female charrs huh?

Go figure..so much for creativity X)

Since when does creativity involve pulling stuff from a teenage 90’s art book? or generic cutesy stereotypes?

Only for some people, not all. I personally like variety in Charr and whether your character is cutesy, non-stereotypical or the most freaking monstrous looking Charr character in all of Tyria, you should play him/her proudly. Now if only the males could be given such a luxury in the future. Not necessarily ‘goo-goo cute’ look, but just more different types of options in general. Eg. Sleek, older, younger and even more ferocious. At least females can cover a good range of age and aesthetics with their selection. Especially if they are given bigger horns, as those would pair well with the more fearsome looking female presets. ^^

I’m sure Anet will update character options when they feel time is best for it. I’m okay with what we currently have, but won’t argue with more for both genders. :P In terms of Rox herself, I have seen both good and bad feedback about her on this forum and others.

So you want the males to get sleek, ferocious, older, basically stuff that actually fits with the Charr. However giving that to the female Charr as well such as this new story character we see a ton of is bad? No no no! According to you we need generic cutesy anime Charr to truly get real creative options for the female Charr right? Wouldn’t anything within this amazing theme they have put forth for the Charr but far more creative and better? Considering cutesy is a trope stereotype for beast races that needs badly like metal things to be broken. So we can have a cool beast like race in it’s own right?

The horns there are a right step but the eyes and scrunched features that go with it not so much. Anet does need to design more features yes but I’d like to hope they are far more creative then reaching into the trope beast bowl and I’d like to hope they’d correct this mistake called Rox before it gets put into the game and it something that can never truly be taken back.

Also I’ve had far more conversations in LA with people that did not like the face but loved the horns. Then I have with any that just outright liked her. I think it is safe to assume that these people just do not like to post on the forums or due to the reactions when voiced their opinion for cool female types in other games they got shot down so they’ve given up in advance on posting anymore. Here is a single screenshot as the rest got pushed up my log while I was trying to WvW. Hopefully I can get more in the future. Stating the simple bit I said about the horns.

@Shiren – Not quoted due to forum text limits.

Do you know what the Charr stand for at all? Have you not read the idea behind the female Charr at all?

http://web.archive.org/web/20120209094625/http://www.arena.net/blog/the-artistic-origin-of-the-charr

It really seems like you need to reread this again and actually get into your head the idea of what a Charr is really supposed to be. The true boring way here to do a Charr is to make them a bloody stereotype that has flooded so many other MMORPG’s just like the bad metal thong armor for female characters instead of sticking to the guns they laid out and creating an amazingly fierce young Charr out to take on the world. It has nothing to do with a personal agenda and instead trying to keep at least one bloody game breaking a mold instead of falling back into the same ol garbage we see in every other fantasy game at the drop of a hat.

Tybalt Leftpaw was unique because of the story written for him and the way he was voiced. Not because he was taken apart and forced to be what we see for males in every other MMORPG which is a male empowerment fantasy. He broke away from other MMORPG stereotypes because of creative writing and they still kept him as what made the Charr great which was a fierce giant cat. Once again what made him loveable was his STORY and VOICE ACTOR not a stereotype male empowerment fantasy from ANOTHER game. Diversity for the Charr is continuing with the current theme laid out in even more creative ways. Touching on what actually makes a manly man manly and what makes a woman a woman without dipping into the bowl of rotten societal stereotypes to do it or even dipping into the bowl of generic Anime garbage just to draw in a key demographic while alienating the rest and destroying what you claimed the race was supposed to be like. A cutesy beast race is boring and overdone so much online and in other communities who we shall not name I could puke.

We know more then people like you keep hinting at due to her appearance and the brief bio given to us about her. You can draw many conclusions thanks to what they have given us and it reads like it was ripped out of a 90’s JRPG. A hero that nobody wanted out against all odds with her giant eyes that will shoot giant eye beams! (Not really) This is the groundwork that all the rest of her will based off of and that is the most important part of any design for a character. What you lay here you often do not get to take back without a major retcon. The only thing missing from that picture to make it even more generic anime is a high anime voice and some random giant emote.

Actually if you bothered to actually check the tails of the Charr you come across instead of assuming they are all male because they do not have the generic face that the npc’s have. You’d notice that a very sizable chunk of Charr are female Charr who used the other more creative faces for this genre. They used the ugly face, the covered in horns, the big nose, and more. The kinds of faces you usually do not get for female types in these kinds of games because usually the female half of the race is designed as garbage eye candy only in a fantasy game or like some cute throwaway anime cat designed to draw in the people who will hug even a cactus if you give it cute eyes.

The Asura didn’t suddenly compromise to get more people. They were that bloody way in the stinking beta and due to their being many types of Asura in GW1 they had loads to build on for all kinds of looks. While with the female Charr who did not exist in GW1 they had to create something from total scratch. Which takes far more time and effort to get done. Which they were cut short on by having to redo a entire race called the Sylvari and it really shows in their animations throughout their race. Once you put armor on them you are hard pressed to see them as anything but generic human without a helmet off. Lets not rush ruin Charr options as well eh?

Also it seems like you are reaching pretty far with that last comment of yours. It is a real stretch to try to compare a style item that is 100% optional and useable by all like the bunny ears in GW2. Next to something that is going to set the standard of all future teenage like Charr and be apart of a living story that has been said will be around for quite some time. So anything added to it is going to be here awhile and likely make it into other aspects of the game such as character creation. The Charr need more creativity that draws from other sources for options that stay true to what they are and not some generic garbage trying to pull an audience that will alienate the fans of them already here.

Sorry, I didn’t mean exact face. I meant similar. You can get some pretty big atrocious looking eyes on some of those faces. Still, I don’t see how you know this character was created with that logic behind her. The chances are it could have been a genuine choice by the designers.

On a side note, I personally find it a little sad you can judge somebody so heavily by the face.

Well there are many positives to this nature of humanity. Such as with our canine companions evolving along side us to be the same way. Dogs actually get information off us in the same way and the only creature that interacts with us in that same manner. This helps to create that deep bond people have with them. So there is positive sides to all these visual aspects.

So every other Charr has giant anime eyes pulled from a high school art book that looks nothing like the rest of the race and looks horribly out of place with their other features such as their horns? Interesting…

Also this design change is on par with the Worgen that had absurd breasts because the logic behind it probably is the same. The idea of getting more people to like a race in a generic manner that would otherwise not be interested in it. That or to cater to a lower denominator that is often a standard in fantasy games or this case anime fans. Rather then challenging yourself to create something interesting and unique to attract these people that fits in line with the standards you already put forward.

The face is one of the most important features though for human interaction. We look at the face of nearly ever living creature we come across by default because it is built into us as humans. It is by reading each others faces or even looking away in horror that sets the standard for future interaction with a person before you even speak. Humans judge much off of a single face. As such this is a major design feature that actually means far more then several of the others.

Also the giant eyes do not compliment any of the other features that are innately Charr. Let alone the others they added to her such as the giant horns. They conflict with them in mass and very much give the feeling of not belonging. These features conflict with the design they have and the designs put forth for the future of the Charr as stated by them not me.

Oh.. and while you can make larger eyes on the Charr with the sliders. You cannot make giant anime eyes on the Charr exactly like those. You can do it on the Asura though and you see it a ton on them ingame. Even there it looks a little freaky but other things such as the floppy ears offset it.

All I can think of is this poor creature.

So what you are saying is the Norn get what is suppose to be an attractive buff young hero to save day. While the Charr get a blind defective diseased cat that no warband wanted to quote -lead them into battle-.

That is horrifying!

Doubt it, charr cubs look “normal” and we all know what adult and old charr look like, so you are proposing that in the transition years between them they look this odd? No its look is deliberate; for what reason? I don’t know.

Current ingame cubs are not cubs actually, they are scaled down adults. So Rox can be first step to change that.

like actual big cats?

You get a gold star!

Also there is a discussion going on about Rox in the Charr section on the forums as well.

I think your overacting a but there KorKor.
One weirdly cutesy Charr dose mean they are dumping their design decisions and ruining everything.

Maybe a little but when something like that makes it into a game with a single major story character like that sooner or later due to the design already in the game it will probably be added to the roster of choices for players down the road.

It also sets a standard for future designs of younger Charr that will be added to the game. As this could turn into a template. Especially considering it is a part of the living story which is supposed to be ongoing for quite some time. So it means this character will be something that many players will be forced to interact with sooner or later if they wish to progress with this part of the game.

It isn’t so much of an overreaction as it is looking forward at things that can happen if it makes it into the game at this time. Looking at what it would mean and bring if it was allowed to go forward. If one wishes for a better design you have to speak out against the bad one before it makes it in not after when it is to late.

Way to overreact KorKor.
All we have is a single picture, she might not even look like this before she actually makes it into the game (and I believe Anet too realizes that she looks silly). Even if so, it’s not like we will get an unexpected Charr looks overhaul, a new face in Total Overhaul kit at best. It’s too soon to be talking about “ruining” anything.

Speaking out after something has already gone into effect is always to late. You either speak your mind before something hits or do not bother at all in a game like this because it will be to much of a hassle for it to be removed after it is in. Especially on cosmetics when players start to use it. So if it makes it that far you will never be rid of it. Pretty much been almost a standard like that with MMORPG’s for years.

The only logical option is to speak out in advance not later after it hits.

Nice typical internet assumptions you got there Leo. Oh.. noes! They stated an opinion not aligned with mine after I quipped into the thread with nothing to contribute! The person in question clearly must be in a rage induced state of posting while frothing at the mouth! As we all know this is the way people communicate in real life when expressing an opinion!

As for the no context bit? Are you kidding? During the 5 year development of the game they spoke constantly of what they wanted from the artistic style of the game and what they wanted to portray with each race. There are even whole articles talking about how and why the Charr are the way they are and where they want to go with them in the future. We are given a glimpse of Rox with a biography akin to something you’d see in a JRPG. You can draw quite abit from that considering how much it is unlike anything else in the game or stated desires for the future of said game.

I didn’t puff up my chest but I did an express an opinion. I know that might be hard for you to grasp but people do that in real life. It doesn’t mean the are hostile. I know this is hard for someone who is only hostile and brave on the net to grasp but it is true. My opinion just happened to align with many others who fell in love with the Charr for these reasons and posted about them during the beta. Whole threads of love for the Charr design for these reasons and how they were so happy they didn’t have generic things like giant Worgen breasts from WoW. The simple fact is giant anime eyes is bad design and any high school art teacher would tell you that. They’d even tell you to go back and redo the assignment till you got the basics right. Then develop your own unique style.

You are right not everyone has a decent sense of design. As seen from the people who defend Rox or use the guise of not liking her design to attack others who speak their opinion about it. After all you are not defending it if you hate it as well right? “rolls eyes”

You know one of the biggest reasons I wanted into this game and I will admit it was the unique beast design the Charr had and the logic behind it in this article.

http://web.archive.org/web/20120209094625/http://www.arena.net/blog/the-artistic-origin-of-the-charr

It made me really happy to see a female designer in charge of a race that actually cared about good design. I was actually going to have a race to play that wasn’t furry porn like the Worgen were or stripper humanoid races that wear metal thongs. (See Humans and Norn in GW2 for reference) They had a unique culture based off things such as the Mongols with an almost steampunkish like feel and it was amazing.

This image of Rox makes it feel like they fired Kerry then hired on some random w-e-e-a-b-o-o from a convention to work with the designer of the human armor. So they could create something that would be popular with the quote -kids- and bring more people into playing the Charr. Akin to the logic Blizzard used with Blood Elves for the Horde which no actual Horde player ever wanted but man… the Night Elf Alliance players had a hard on for it.

It just throws out all the amazing work in my opinion done for the Charr in favor of generic garbage. The youth excuse trying to justify it is utter failure and grasping at straws by kitten anime fans who want the design to stay. Youth gives you things such as gangly arms. pimples, odd fur/hair colors. Not giant creepy generic anime eyes.

This image alone really makes me not want to follow the Charr story anymore and if anything even as a female Charr player? It makes me want to support the flame legion so it can die in a fire.

Oh.. and maybe as a teenager I’d be okay with waiting a year to get other pets just by waiting on the passage of time. However now I’m an adult and you know what? I’m sick arbitrary limits in games trying to make me stick with them for years for minor rewards.

Halloween also kinda fell into this but in different ways so does Wintersday. People may have complained about the Clock tower but it was purely optional. You needed to stick to your guns and keep that level of hard jumping puzzles around. It didn’t give any special gear to do it. Just give people more time with it like you did with the Wintersday puzzle and maybe take race into account when grouping people. As a single Asura with around 7 Norn really stinks as it becomes more about muscle memory and luck then fun ‘n’ skill.

~The skins for Halloween were amazing and giving people the recipes to craft them was a good idea for later in the year. Just drop the mat requirements out of mini-legendary but still keep it harder to craft. Also put it up in the gem store for X amount of time during the holiday giving people every option to get the item during the holiday Should they not with all those options? Tough cookie!

~Keep the quality differences in the skins the same. During Halloween each skin was amazing in that it stood out from the others. Especially the chainsaw yet all the Wintersday skins are pretty much exactly the same. I know keeping them all the same makes quote -everyone happy- but in truth it makes us all clones and hampers your creative juices.

(This one is rather long.) ~RNG has it places out in the world during year round things and with things that are not soulbound/account bound. It does not however make anyone happy to be denied any fair shot at all with the pets like with your Wintersday boxes just because you want to cater to the whales.

Which do not lie that is what it is really about super greed in burst profits instead of steady long term. You had it right with Halloween in letting us get 3 pets for X amount of gems. You even made it so people could combine pets to get another cool pet from that box. It was also at a price that didn’t make you feel ripped off as you got THREE pets. Wintersday hits and you make each toy cost the same as 3 pets gotten during Halloween for a single! Then you cater to the whales by putting even more in a bloody pets in a RNG box.

It’s like you want your loyal fans to stinking quit just so you can make a quick flash buck. That is how that makes me and everyone I’ve talked to feel. It makes me look at you instead of a developer trying to change things for the better but instead a gaming copy of COMCAST. That or yet another terrible Korean (Well aware of your parent corp) company catering to addict Asians that never leave their kitten homes instead of the rest of the bloody world. This is how they treat their kitten customers! Be more Valve less EA/Ncsoft. That or become as irrelevant as SquareEnix in the western market when people get tired of the same abuse.

I do not understand why as an MMORPG you lack things at release such as group play for this holiday event. You said it yourself that MMORPG’s are social games that should bring people together. Not make us bitter to see them because our friends are forced away from us.

Like Snowball Mayhem and the Bell Choior, the Toypocalypse is an activity. They are using the same systems, and these systems do not permit joining by party. Unfortunately due to technical limitations and time constraints before the holidays, we cannot change it. We understand that this is not ideal for people who wish to play in the same party and who are finding it difficult in random groups. We will be adjusting the “Toypocalypse Cancelled” achievement so that you will need to keep only one gift dolyak alive. We do not have an ETA on when this change will be live. Thank you for your feedback. We have been listening, and we will take your comments on board for future game updates.

I think everyone here gets that you guys are not perfect. However we keep seeing things such as this and it really makes us raise our eyebrows at your internal testing. Do the people testing it realize that it needs to be viewed not from a developer standpoint but instead the viewpoint of random guy/gal A out in the game world you created with THOUSANDS of others also trying to do the same thing along with them.

Take the Karka event it was buggy as all could get out and many people right ‘n’ left were getting booted right at the end with no way back in where they were left off.

~Why is there no timer at all at least 3-5 minutes of an idle character giving them that tiny window to get back in? Why must every DC result in being booted from your activity without a single way to hop right back on the saddle.

~Why was the scaling system on the amount of mobs needed to be killed not taken into account with the maximum amount of players? This just seems like a given so a hard cap could be set in so an event still remains fun not just challenging.

~Why couldn’t the mega-karka event appear three times maybe that day or at the very least during something such as prime time when a majority of us are not at work? Thus still pretty much fitting the one off call. You do not have to make stuff like the lighthouse knockout a multiple time thing but at least maybe the reward things but ONLY during that day or time frame.

~Why does every server have to have the event go off at the same time? Why can’t these events go off during their time zones proper hour so everyone gets a fair shot?
