Oh I know how much PHIW groups suck. Did a SE P1 “zerker speed run” earlier, 2 guards (1 hammer: goodbye fire fields), 2 warriors, 0 reflects and banner of defence; I was on my zerker ele, it was painful and that was before I cut chunks off of my finger.

On another note it is surprisingly difficult to dodge when you have bandages on your fingers preventing you from feeling anything, I was failing all over the place duoing Arah Story tonight. So much so my guildy put up an lfm after the Mouth of Zhaitan because I am bad and should feel bad; maybe I should join PHIW groups till I heal.

I almost guardian leaped right off the ship a few times by accident, it was great.

I have financial guilt for basically everything now. I should be making eternity but I keep spending my money on fancy dyes and outfits and weapons for my mesmer. Go figure.

Yeah, I kinda went and bought all the really expensive dyes, and don’t even use half of them, so much gold wasted; also buying the armor sets only to use a single piece and have the rest of the pieces clog up bank space.

The Conjurer totally fits better, and I kind of like the little bits of iridescent blue you can see on the phoenix chest at certain angles, reminds me of shiny black feathers.

I like the Bloody Prince staff, but I’m not sure how well it fits; also it’s all expensive on the AH and I only have 3 weapons claim ticket thingies, not 5. I don’t know if I can justify another couple hundred gold on top of the stuff I already spent on her today.

That’s the Ebon staff, Seraph is different, I think; I don’t have the bloody prince staff.

Also totally nailed a raven armor look, though it might need to be toned down a bit to look more norse.

Y, i too feel more creative when I change my chars’ hairstyles and stuff.
I’ll think of more combos for a norn, but that race doesn’t really stimulate my creativity… the armors just fit too much better on humans.
Weapons, uhn… There are no tribal or feathery looking weapons that aren’t frankly terrible, so I’d start with sets that look functional, with neutral colours and that mimic steel or another metal… and then dye the armor accordingly.
Vigil?

I was looking at maybe the godskull staff or maybe the ebon staff for it’s grey bird look, the vigil has nice stark colouring, but the staff has like a candle thing on top.

Redoing her face right now, so it’s making me more enthusiastic about looking for new armor.

You’re right, I can probably find better armor, the dyes are irrelevant as those aren`t what I`ll be using. I think I am feeling lazy about it until I makeover her face; hopefully those new hairstyles are released soon, I am impatient.

Next is weapons to think about, I don`t think the phoenix really fits.

So I am totally over my norn elementalist’s current look so she is getting a complete overhaul, starting with her armor; there were supposedly new hairstyles datamined so I’ll wait till Tuesday to drop the total makeover kit so ignore her weird face for now.

A friend named her Muninn Valraven when I rolled her, so I figured a Norse Mythology/battle maiden/feathery bird motif would be a good place to go. I’m having trouble coming up with a cohesive look, there are certain armor pieces I am partial to but putting them together just seems bleh.

This is what I’ve been toying with in the wardrobe, ignore the dyes, I was just using those to see the dye channels.

Last night my group did P1 fine, went on to P3 and got the bug, restarted and it was fine. I’ve also seen some interesting bugs in other dungeons.

Oh man, I hate that too, soo much. I used to lead hardcore progression raiding in that other MMO, and there was always one or two guys who sounded like he was from the American South who’d call me that, or darling (daaaahlin’?) mid raid.

I think the flame kissed might be a bit too over the top fire, for me; also it’s the one light armor set I don’t have.

So I need some brainstorming help, on my norn ele I duo with another norn ele, who is ice themed. I want to make mine fire so we can be Fire and Ice, without that ugly CoF/flametouched armor. I’m having trouble finding pants that don’t look halloweeny when dyed smoky/orange/yellow.

Anyone have any ideas they are willing to share?

It’s a shame that necros are so useless in dungeons, I secretly/openly love to play her but I can never justify playing it over something more useful.

It always makes me sad inside to see this in a ‘zerker only blah blah blah’ group; it was also a staff camper, on bosses.

Question: do cultural armor tiers count separately, or is it all lumped as cultural armor?

It was a necro, but I couldn’t tell what kind it was besides the dead kind; it didn’t like reflects either.

So today I learned that when doing SE P3 on my guardian I shouldn’t clear all of General Volkov’s bleeds and other miscellaneous conditions. Also if the pugs want to stack, it’s way better to have one person ranging/fearing all the dredge around and generally faffing about and dying.

Maybe he does more DPS with 18 stacks of bleeds because he traited for downed state damage?

I just got this fractal for the first time since the patch, think it was only level 29 though, I didn’t notice any new archers, and we hugged the wall as per usual. I asked the others in my group if they had seen any changes and they all said no.

I noticed the npc changes though, but that was pretty meh.
