No class can deal 20k. That’s an outright lie and you need to stop listening to bads. People are referring to stuff like Hundred Blades which has a long recharge and takes four seconds to complete, during which time you will hit for much more with a combination of Lava Font and Fireball. Even unbuffed I easily see huge numbers coming from those two skills. Learn to addition, maybe.

is this trolling or are ppl seriously so unaware?

Dude on my warr I did over 70k 100b in cof p1 at level 75, 30k+ is the standard 100b performed solo at level 80.

Now try do do this an staff ele. Also I would not call 6s cd on 100b a long recharge.

The only way to do some serious damage as an staff ele is to use FGS/Rush against a wall – which I hope will get fixed in the incomming patch …or to use Meteor shower on a small “island” terrain which causes all metors to hit very small spot dealing enormous amounts of damage but so far I found only a few spots in the whole game where you can bug Meteors like this.

I find fotm 70+ to be the most interesting content of the game, despite having meaningless rewards.

puging 48 dailies with the new 55ar noobs wave can be quite intresting too… seriously sometimes it is a lot harder than 70+ played with ppl who know how to play.

People say that this class/build is dead but I ran into a D/D ele today in WvW and she flat out destroyed me and 2 other players. This was on my Warrior, Thief and Mesmer. I was simply amazed on how skilled of a player she was.

I find this hard to believe. Were you all upleveled or something? Were you not running cons while she was? Were you in blues and greens? Were you all just running really crappy builds?

I mean, I don’t want to sound mean or anything, but there’s simply no way you should have been destroyed by that—the warrior, thief, and Mesmer are among the strongest WvW classes, and any single one if built right should be able to completely destroy a perfectly played elementalist. Heck, apart from a few bursts, the elementalist (especially D/D tanky roamer types) has trouble out damaging the Warrior’s healing signet.

quite a typical case. I own 99% wvw players on my ele… even to a point I am starting to think maybe indeed ele is OP. Then once every ~10-20h of wvw roaming I encounter a player who totally owns me we make a party I relog to my thief and usually on my thief I totally own him or sometimes we draw. Then I relog back to my ele and again I own 99% players until I find next player who know how to play this game.

Moral:
if 3 players (even in greens) are unable to kill a tanky dd ele in 3v1 it means those players have absolutely no idea about this game. As Lina wrote, warrior, mesmer and thief are proffesions that will win agains an dd ele if the skill on both side is comparable.
If any of you would have 1/2 of the skill that ele had you would win 3v1 in lesss than 10s – the problem is all of you combined had 1/5 of her skill

I got my 500+ fractals achevement months ago. There is no other counter so it is hard for me to tell but up to now I would probably hit this achievement ~3 times.
There was a period of time (3-4 months) when I got 3 dailies (18,28,38,48) each day on daily basis.

it depends, if in a party you are the top damage dealer (which v. rarly is the case) and not the only decent might giver then dont waste your CD only for might stacking…but if for example you do cof p1 and have 3+ dps warriors in party then stacking 25 mights for all members before the first boss fight and then conjure FGS/LH is ofc better option.

yes, often you do not need those alts to have level 80, as for skipping for thief you need shadowRef to be unlocked, for mesmer you need to have portal unlocked, both toons can be level ~30 and without a gear, even naked. Their puprose is only to skip content using 2 skills shadow ref/portal.

yes, personaly I have 3 full geared 80 toons (ele, war, thief) and mesmer only for bugging/skipping with portal and mimic unlocked. Many ppl have many alts and reloging during fractals just to bug/skip/faceroll certian encounter is common practice.

last time I did full fotm run without using any bugs was I think last year with my pvp guildmates (all of them quit this game by now) … but as I said we have different definition of bug/cheat so according to your standards I play the fotm legit

I dont care what AnrenaNoobs thinks… killing a middle boss in 2 seconds using one skill is a cheat for ME.
As I said almost all fractals encounters can be skipped or bugged. Example from my yesterday run – Uncategorized, 2 pll relogged to thief and we skipped first harpies using shadowRef (even one thief is enought to skip here), to disable the electric puzzle 1 player is enought (not 3), for oldTom someone relogged to ele and we had 4 FGS/Rush where 2 were combined with LF = Tom insta dead , no need to enable the fan. Relog back to thief to skip next harpies. And the most fun part is that if I would decite to relog to my mesmer at the begginning we colud skipp all this using portal

2-3 weeks ago I played fotm48+ with a certain guardian who maniacally covered my fire fields with his fields preventing the party from having perm 25 mights. It turned out that he had no idea about combo starter and finishers and after we explained it to him he said – OK, but what does those mights stacks actually do?
Fotm 48 player, fractal capacitor on the back, legendary, fractal skins on wapons, 8k+ anrea points, no idea what migts are…. this perfectly reflects who can play/finish fractals 48.

since ascened wapons and ar 45+ is possible the noob wave finally started to do the 48+ daily runs and this is how my last 48 daily lokked like:
4. we get mosman and whole party stay in the watter pool and started to autoattack bugged mosman, after 5 min and boss10% hp down I said – lets just mele him and I got out of the watter to mele – 2 plyers immediately left the party saying I am a noob who have no ida how to play this game

takes ages ….. also you had a mesmer so he was wrong <.< you should have fought mossman to store axe projectile.

6. after swamp we get dredge, to place the bombs on the door one player reloged to thief (shadowRef) and with mesmer portal we put all the bombs without aggroing/fight even a single mob, then he relloged back to guard – reloging to other profession just to faceroll some encounter and then logging back it cheat

I would like players to stop thinking that using skills as they are supposed to work is cheating…

Its “tactic” and its situational….also fully legit.

7. middle boss was killed using ranged autos while whole party stayed on the ladder in safe spot, it requires absolute no skill at all and can be done by those who cannot even manage to kill that boss using “pipe stack” bug

Pipe stack is not a bug….its called positioning…its also extremely bad since you can t see/evade Attacks… wall is way better.
A tactic that works everywhere is not a bug….. (notice how 4-5 tactics are viable here each one with his drawbacks)

stacking on structure is indeed a bug…and 9 times out of 10 it results in a wipe since once you aggroed dredge minions they get in mass Killing you with ranged Attacks.
A cycle of antiprojectile can prevent this…..

At that point just go on the wall and play legit saving minutes……
Oh mesmer can stop champion Attacks with skills that stops Attacks…is that also a bug for you?

skipping is not cheating….but really few players skip ascalon mobs…since they are:
Lure them to NPC => help NPC to kill them…

its not a bug again…..
Its a way to prevent a BUG if you refer to warrior longbow stuff.
NPCs are not supposed to suicide in center.

And you are supposed to pull one Group at a time…

You have infact described what i love of fractal….versatility and tactical play with multiple choices……

Each thing you said is usually done in at least 5-6 different ways so each fractal run is a new experience every time (reason why i played fractal so much).

How many tactics do exists for coe, cof, TA 2.0 etc?
1 each -.- and its Always the same….

P.S. if you talk mesmer vs ele in pve…mesmer have way more than HP….blurred frenzy, teleports and support while dps.
Ele needs more than everything sustained dps comparable to conjured weapons but without giving up rotations and stuff.
Also a strong reduction in cooldowns.

generally we have diferent definition of tactic and bug/cheat.
If you can faceroll or even skip whole enounter while using one specyfic skill or safespot “tactics” then it is obviously a cheat – typical example would be to store mosman agony and use it against a middle boss in the next fractal. I know that Anet does not call such nooby behavior cheating that is why I call them ArenaNoobs
Almost every encounter in fractals can be done by brain disabled naps who use bugs, otherwise those could not finish fractals.

Guess I’m playing with the wrong players then. I cringe everytime a group wants to run around the cage in the Dredge fractal and try to activate the console from the other side.

I forgott about that … of course my party also used the bug with the console, the resing ouside the cage bug there are many bugs there but resing bug requires absolute no skill at all.

3. we failed bringing the wisps 4 times – even with mesmer portal which in this encounter should be disabled for obvious reasons

Without Dulfy I seriously think it wouldnt have been possible for the general public to get anything done, except maybe the 0.1% most hardcore player in the game.

if you want to find all the dragon scales/tooths etc by yourself then yes – it would be almost not possible and incredibly boring …yes even more boring than it is now while wathing red circles on the map on Dulfy on the second monitor.

But the general idea behind MMO is that there are hundreds of other players and finding 9 dragon scales for 100 players on the map using map chat is not that hard – and imho this is what Anet is thinking that ppl will do while adding such conntent – yes they are very naive. Generally Dulfy/wiki kills all the social aspects of the game that Anet try to create.

Best solo/sustaining class?

basically on any profession you can build a condi tank, that deals some damage (~2k/s) and is immortal in pve… but generally same as The Mexican Cookie I strongly recommend not to use those – those are nap builds, you will learn nothing (except maybe the first week of play) and make this way to easy game even more faceroll. If you indeed want to play like this then confusion messmer (huge conf dmg, and impossible to die) and even easier to play the thief mentioned by redFalcon (easy 25 bleeds and also not possible to die) are probably best two options… but all the remaning classes are not far behind.
Overal the “best” class in terms of damage/survivability/fun ratio is imho dps warrior but it needs some practice to use (a month of gameplay, 30-100h) and x00h to become warrior master.
The last 2 classes/builds that fits your description are dps d/x ele and dps engi.

I bind it according to the game UI and use thumb for utils/elite and little finger for attunements/skills while sill having 3 fingers free to move on yghj.

also its easy to switch to other professions.

I know how reliable 100b is, I play warrior. I solo dungs on my warrior and I know how good/bad 100b is. Ofc playing GS/Axe/x warrior at full potential reqires more skill than LH 1 auto attack ele.

yes it is, its also quite easy and boring to play even compared to GS/Axe/x warrior
but it has no chance against a DPS warrior in terms of damage in 5s timeframe, in 15s timeframe and 15 min timeframe… actually the longer the bigger the damage gap will be – compare the cooldowns on ele damage skills and warr damage skills then compare auto attack damage that fills the gaps between damage skills are rady to use.

not mayby but for sure, even in 2 skills and 3 skills and 4 skills elem can not do 80k dmg.

The only thing that makes eles the best dps in game (by far) is FGS rush against a wall that takes up to 200k aoe damage.

And also eles has one of the best burst in the game. By burst I mean sometging that can take average player from 100 to 0 in 1-2s.

Lavadiel, Elems do have the best achievable dps. But not on their own: they need a speedkill set-up for this.

proof it on movie (ofc without FGS rush bug) that ele can output 80k dmg in a 100b timeframe, ofc if you want to timewarp the ele also timewarp the warriors 100b.

ofc now ele has FGS wall/rush bug that indeed does more but this will be obviously nerfed or rather fixed so it is not worth to mention. Try to outdamage that warrior from the movie as an ele without FGS bug, if you do then post a movie on YT and then we will belive you that ele has better or comparable dps to warr – until then accept the facts.

For now (ofc except wall/FGC) the best “dps” ele can provide is to solo keep whole 5 member party at perm 25 mights stacks giving 5×800= 4000k power. All party members dont need to use weapons/skills/trait/sigils/runes for mights and can use 100% offensive builds and skills. Ele is the only (and next to engi best in the game) might giver in the party while not sacrificing his dps that much (LH-1 after 25mights are there). Generally bosses dies a lot faster when I focus on giving party perm 25 might stacks compared to when I focus only to maximize my own damage.

you would have zero chances against 2 competent players (any profession, even against 2 other eles). So telling that you own 3 ppl… yes…. its possible only on wvw which is generally a noob zone that promotes:
1. plyers using easy mode OP builds (those players are begginers and have no chance against a skilled player like you – watch the balancing-for-skill movie from this thread linked somewhere above)
2. players who play in zergs – those are even worst than group 1
3. ganking players, again nups whos the only chance to kill skilled player is to enter some 1v1 duel and “help” his friend to win
4. tanks or semi tanks – imho those are less skilled players compared to those who use more offensive builds
Unforntunatelly those type of players are promoted in current wvw. So against that kind of “players” as a semi or pure tank ele you can “win” 3v1… but it trully means nothing.

Of my clique of a dozen gamers; everyone has left this game but myself. I have transferred servers twice due to dying populations.

I am near to ending my time as well because of the lack of meaningful character progression. My characters are wearing the same armor for months now; because the stats I need are on the set I have and it just doesn’t matter.

I have dungeon master title.. the dungeons have grown stale;
WvW has few objectives other than whichever zerg has the most bodies eats the most keeps and you surrender individual play to the zerg caller.

The “living world” is hardly living and has ZERO impact on the world after it’s two weeks expire. No terrain is changed; no NPCs die or given birth. The story I was originally a part of has simply stagnated and died.

Now you think 8 bit style platformers that I grew bored with 30 years ago is innovative.

Rifts may have a smaller community; but if you want to see a store that has stuff worth buying; spend a little time within it. You can actively change your character’s look with some viable styles vice immersion breaking “fuzzy quaggan hats” that cannot even be worn outside of town (if you wanted to)

As far as ascended gear.. I have 5 80s. Why does any one character limit the progression of my others? Making my ability to craft account bound vice character bound is a slap in the face; like saying, “sorry you cannot craft armor, you used your weaponsmithing on your other character” The only reason behind such a bone headed decision is to stall… make us stay in the game longer for our objectives.

Well… it’s having the opposite affect.

You want to impress your player base who have played a myriad of MMOs and are starting to look towards the next shiny penny coming out? Revamp all boss fights in a patch not ….one.

Make every pursuit equivalent to the challenge.. If one dungeon path takes an hour and another takes 5.. you should get 5 times the rewards.

If you are zerging down a champion in 7 seconds with 50 players you should get 1/10 of the loot of doing it with 5; not the opposite.

Fix your kitten game; listen to honest criticism; else you are going to start bleeding people.

I’ve been on two other dead servers; it’s already started.

To check how good celestial is do a simple test:
Put full PTV and compare damage and survivability VS celestial. Notice small difference in damage and huge in survivability.
Now put full berserker on and compare VS celestial. This time damage difference is mega huge and survivability difference not so big.
Now try mixing ber/ptv – to get “dmg/sur balance” and see how much more important stats you get using 3 stats gear.

I dont say that celestial is unplayable in pve cuz obviously u can play with it with success and indeed proably ele is the best profesion that can use the full potential of celestial gear. But celestial is not the gear to get full potential of ele.

Celestial is far from being the “worst sets you can have.”

mayby it is not the worst but one of the worst sets you can have, comparable to rampager. Btw. any good player will use pure berserker or almost pure ber in all pve content anyway. Using pure ber or ber/pvt mix I was abble to solo most of the dungs (that are possible to solo), solo 99% of the open world champions in game and easy play in fractals 48+. Using celestial gear will make that mayby not impossible at all but definitely harder and longer, for example solo Lupi in celestial as an ele will take 30+ min and “only” ~15 in ber.
Celestial is definietly not recommended for advanced players/playstyle, and for beginers ptv is way way easier to play.

Well I already have a full berserker warrior in max ascended and guard in soldiers/cleric mixed. Basically I have 4 80’s rightnow and they are geared:
Warrior: Full berserker (DPS)
Guard: Soldiers/Cleric (Bunker)
Ranger: Rampager (Condition heavy)
Ele: Celestial

The point here is that elementalist is perhaps the best jack of all trades skill wise so I am also gearing her in similar armor, I do like to play my ele but I don’t bring it for serious play like high level fractals or anything.

Anyway you didn’t answer my main question, what you suggest for weapon choice? D/D or S/D?

Aa for me I have 5 different full sets for my ele, 2 for thief (ber and condi/tou), 1 for warr (pure ber). Mesmer is in a process to get gear but I think I will quite this game soon so proably I will not finish gearing my mesmer.

celestial is again average/bad at everything so mixing ele with celestial….yes… its not going to end well

Compared to warrior ele has -800 vit and -300 tou so overal ele has -1100 stats points. To compensate this warrior gets overall better skills on lower cooldowns and better traits ;D

if you dont want to play seriously with your ele (like fractals 48+, soloing dungs etc.) then d/d. For fractals and “advanced” gameplay focus and scepter are must have weapons.

celestial is one of the worst sets you can have. In low level dungs (up to 50) where critDmg scales bad and condi dmg is quite hight even Rampager is better than celestial. In hi level dungs the only advantage of celestial over rampager is quite nice critDmg but your prec is to low to make full use of it. Generally I am still (since 2-3 weeks) testing full celestial but so far it gives nothing, survivability (especially tou) is weak, power/prec are weak.
If you want to have only one set for your ele and want to test various builds/playstyles then go for it but remember that you can make a lot better builds using 3 stats gear or mix of 3 stats gear.
In pve the way to go is power/prec/critDmg for dmg builds or Vit/Tou for survivability. Cond dmg and healing power are not needed and any investment in those will make you weaker – celestial is a set that gives this 2 but takes the important stats.
Overall even if you want to play different builds/playstyles I would still recommend
Armour – Ptv
Weapons, accesories, backpack – Ber
Rings – Tou/Power/CritDmg
This will be much better for experiments with the class than celestial gear.

This 4 spells allow you to negate 8 sources of ANY power of damage…

and thats all…now ele arcane shields are on 75s CD, auras on 25/40 and I need just about 2-5 seconds to kill – in very rare ocassions up to 10s if ele is v. skilled and tanky. Each time I enter stealth via 5,2,2,2,2 I get boons, loose all condis, get my hp back to 100% and get back some initiative and ele only gets some time to heal.

The only eles that stand a chance are the one capable of very high burst (almost pure berserkers) while having arcane shield on them – in this case I have to shadowstep before 5,2,2,2,2 – if my Shadowstep would be on CD I might get bursted but so far it never happened while I was playing a thief but I did burst some (rather bad) thieves this way while playing as an ele.

so many things wrong with that game…
I just expect something eles from a game than you.
Imho there are 3 basic types of players:

1. grinders – those love GW2. The only problems they may have is that sometimes tagging a mob is hard because mobs die so fast
They dont need a lot and are satisfied easily. Anet can just make a flat location with a pole in the middle and make ppl to run in the circle around the pole (mobs are not needed, now they are no challange anyway). The more thausand hours you ran around the pole the bigger/more glowing weapon you get – this is the current state of the game.

2. rpg players – those expect good storyline, intresting dynamic events, living stories etc. As a old school RPG player I was member of this player group. I watched all WoodenPotatoes storry movies and read all NPC dialogs in the game and it turned out to be a waste of time (except woodenPotatoes movies). GW2 is for me a disappointment in this matter.

3. the skill/theorycrafting/challenge players base – Wethospu or Haviz may be good example of that kind of players. This “game mode” is the only thing that keeps me playing this game – again I am no grinder and GW2 failed as rpg. I try to play this game in a way like I was playing quake 3 arena or CS for 10 years. Unfortunatelly anet want to remove this game mode from GW2 so there is nothing left for me.

… and I understad why. The group 2 is neutral and can coexist with group 1 and 3 but group 1 and 3 are mutually exclusive and because group 3 is 1% of the player base…

and I also play warr/thief/mes and I want to have best possible stats on them too.

currently the open world pve content has for me no value at all. I can run anywhere naked on any class and kill all that moves except for soloing champions (naked, cuz dressed it is ofc possible an often very very easy).
Dungs are more demanding but still even without AI exploits way to easy. The only things that are fun are fractals 40+ (again without much AI/terrain exploiting) or some not intended to play like this activities for example soloing dungs, killing Kholeler naked etc.
I know that there are many people who enjoy grinding and actually play this game only to grind. I rember when half of my 200+ mebmer guild ran for months in circles arround lyssa to get lodestones. But lets not make GW2 a game vaiable only for this kind of players. Lets give them “nice” looking skins so they can be happy but I want to have stats and hard content that is not locked by items obtained via grind or playhours or some stupid daily limits (laurels)… Content should be blocked only by plyer skill – nothing else.

taking two Major Runes of the Water instead the doublons you can get +10% boonduration instead of 8%

besides that I run exact the same gear as Lavadiel:
Full Berserker with Ruby Stones
or PVT with monk/water/water + berserker weapons and jewellry

omg I always tought that major gives 5% A year ago I probably read the minor rune description and coded in my head 5% :/ … so now we will use exact same gear

not so sure about this, is MF incerase formula alraedy known?
After 50% MF it starting to get very slowly after 100MF it may take a year to get to 200 and 300 may be not obtainable at all.

I am no grinder, 25G is a lot of coins for me and as I said I will need 100 ascended items that makes 2.5k G – this will take for me like 20 years of gameplay (ofc a lot less if I start to grind but I will not, grinding MMOs ended in ~2010)

currently the idea of carying 3x 20 bag slot of armour/wapons with different stats is also stupid. All items should behave like legendaries so stats change in ooc should be possible and there should be build templates so you can one click change traits/geat stats.

Unfortunately GW2 goes clearly in grind required direction not skill required.

personaly I find all the ascended ida a step backward in MMO philosophy and step backward when compared to gw1 or other MMO like tera or vindictus.
Now I have and use full 5 armour sets, full 3 weapons sets (focus, 2x dagger, scepter, staff).
So now I have to craft 15 ascended weapons. Later this year I wil have to craft 30 armour pieces. And this is only for my ele. On my warr/thief/mesmer I will have to do the same but probablty only for 2 stats cuz I dont need such stat variety on those profesions … anyway it is still like 100 ascended items to craft. Up until now I did not care for grinding in this game and I did not grind anything. Legenaries are just (usually) poor lookins skins so I dint give a kitten – stats is what matters – and now I can not have the best stats unless I grind for thousands of hours. Overall I am slowly getting bored of this game but the ascended wapon/armour idea will probably gonna make me quit this game sooner than later.

If you mostly play with good parties where you have perma 25 might, fury, regen, vigor then you problably should go full berserker and ruby orbs.
Otherwise go for 2x water, 2x monk, 2x platinum doublon for 68% boon duration and you will get all the boon even as d/d. Going for boon duration makes your average d/d 15 mights to perm 25 and this gives additional 320 power – no other rune/armor upgrade can match 320 power increase.
Also with bad tanky parties you can switch to s/d and give perma 25 mighs = 800 power for 5 ppl – and for now it is the best possible support in the game.

As for me I carry always:
1. pure ber/ruby set for hiLevFractals with good parties
2. pvt +monk/water/doublon + ber weapons and ber accesories for average/bad paries
3. pvt +monk/water/doublon + ber weapons and ber assecories except for rings which are tou/power/critDmg for wvw d/d solo (wvw zerg = pure dps set with staff)
4. full celestial set (armor/weapons/accesories) just to test and verify how bad it actually is

How can you enjoing doing the same dungeon in the same way with the same people everytime @_@?
It becomes stale fast.

some randomness indeed is healthy and put required skill to next level but in real life I am really sick when dumb rangers push back enemies while I am 100b’eing them or scrub necros fearing enemies outside of meteors.
From my experience of fractal runs (8k relics in bank +3 fractal capacitors and many 20 slot fractal boxes) I can tell - there are no normal reangers in this game - this class is played only by scrubs*. 95% pve necros (especially MM) have absolutly no idea about the combat system in this game and you must count them as -1 or -2 players in party.

So I realy envy haviz for having solid group of friends to run "hard" pve content and wvw/pvp.

even today typical pug dung player run away from Lava Font (and I dont blame him, it looks scarry) sometimes I use it to set propper party placement or cast 100% hit Geyser.

-mesmer used timewarp and totaly broke the skill coldown table in your head.

-typically necro (but other can too) put some minor finisher field above fire field and your carefully planned 15+ mights stack for whole PT is gone for next 40s

- for some unknow reason you draw perm aggro on Mossman being 100% ber and having 0 tou

- as the logical consequence of previous point you Vapor Form to water and res yourself on the sufrace while Mossman is waiting on the ground right next to water totally ignoring 4 other party members

- after very fast skill usage you get some kind of an animation lock (like warrior perm GS whirl but ele stays still) that can be escaped only using lighting flash or sometimes using movement skills like RTL

- you wonder if ever Lingering Elements will get fixed cuz you put big hopes in this trait

In TA playing v. similar build as bluefox but with IceBow nad Lightingflash+FGS bug I do more than ~40% of the total party damage given to the final tree bosses in both paths.
Big stationary targets, as the tree boss are perfect for staff because all aoe damage is applied to one enemy. For example at level 80 MS is 24×3-4k damage and that gives 70k for one skill – it is still not as sick as guard/mess reflect against some bosses but MS is still one of the top damge direct (not reflected) skills in the game. Only on warrior I do more damge in less time when applying 40k+ 100b against 3 targets which gives 120k and I can do it every 6s, not 30s as MS.

Aslo even as pure dps staff ele you can provide nice support.
Watter 4 + blast can give up to 10+s chill
Watter 3/5 + blasts is always good
Air 2 – good timed blind do wonders
Air 3 to place boss against the wall
Air 4/5+ blasts is 1+ min swiftness for party
earth 1 can be perm weakness

In your build I would only change arcane blast to glyph of storms and use it in earth to get quite long aoe blind or damage in other attunemets that will always suprass the arcane blast damage – even used vs single target and especialy agains big targets/boss.

Played Warrior with under 1h of playtime in soloQ tPvP yesterday.

I can see now. 1vs3 against 2 Eles and one Necro. The eles just died as collateral damage while I was killing the Necro. I dropped to 15k hp eventually.

I cant belive you – there are no eles in soloQ but on wvw I absolutly own eles while playing pure berserker dps warrior (pve fractal build but with GS/AxeShield) althought I have spend 300h on warr and 1.5k h on ele so know both classes quite well. Also those eles I meet on wvw often have no idea how to play ele cuz my eviscerate always hits them and this is the one of the fev skills that ele must avoid at all costs cuz it takes 50% to 100% of their hp.
I think playing as ber warr I will loose against myself as pvt+ber d/d 0/30/0/10/20 ele.

ofc I play GS or even AA(auto axe) warrior in pve or d/p thief in wvw so I am not a masochist 100% of the time but sometimes its good to drive a rear-wheel-drive car without traction control even when the lap times are for ovbious reasons worse.

IMO the most fun pve build is 30/30/X/X/X in full berserker w/rubies+full ascended berserker. There is no reward for soloing arah bosses outside of bragging rights, at least with this build I can kill most anything else in a couple seconds and don’t need to rely on a conjure.

and with good party 30/30/x/x/x is even playable at ftactals 48 although I never managed to get 25 bludlust stacks in those circumstandes – except for dreadge ftactals (behind the tank after boss go down and you have to kill milions mobs). If the party would wait for ultra long arcane shield and mist form CD or even endurance refill then probably in most places you could maintain full 25 bloodlust stacks even at frac 48.

also tornado helps survive bit longer against them. For direct damage builds is not as good as reaper but when as a condi spec you apply 20s burn + 6×12s bleeds and then turn tornado and gain 2x vit multiplayer while having lot of tou + stability you can just wait for condis to do the job.

its obvious because one of the stats you invested a lot – tou – gives you almost nothing against them. To fight those builds you would have to replace tou with vit or play warrior and get 800 Vit + 300 tou for free

…and in tpvp it is still a win – ofc if you defend node. Aslo surviving 5+ wvw average/baddies for 10 minutes as he did I will still call a win (ofc on ele, cuz on d/p thief you can kite/kill indefinitely and its not a win but standard easy gameplay).
Also I think Daphoenix was not only good at running – he was overall good player.

Also being smart is understanding why an elementalist player don t like his main skills to be:

Hammer Swing
Whirlwind Attack
Rush

where two bottom + wall are obvious bugs and should be fixed ASAP… but until then lets abuse it a bit against < iq50 wvw blobs ^^

3v1 against scrubs who prefer to pewpew with shortbow instead of rezzing. Winning 2v1 is extremely hard against people similiary skilled.

I would say it is not possible at all. This game balance is not that bad. Even when you fight current best possible build against 2 average or even weak builds but those 2 ppl know what they do the two will win or in worst case scenario draw but only if the “best build” will be 100% tou/hp/heal tank.
Ofc I know Daphoenix wvw movies that says I am wrong but seriously 2 good players (not necessary as good as daphoenix is) would take him down in less than 30-40s.

I wrote a simple program that parsed html <tr><td> from the orginal table and then saturated depending on value so there are no copy/paste errors because there was no copy/paste

probably the best to nalayse is variant 3 and the most important thing it says is that almost always a shorter way to change your color is to go bottom not right
