Think you need to rethink a bit. There are no healers in this game and if you come in to it presenting your self as a healer and will stay on water through a dungeon, people will go awkward with you. Elementalist are not healers. They are a awsome class with lots of support but they also do good damage and cc, so no ele should focus on healing. They can support with water fields, but those are useless unless noone blasts them, and even so a ele should only briefly pass the wateratunament if it really really is needed and switch again asap.
So when you decide what class to pick dont make the choice out of a role you have in mind, make it from what you prefer playing. If you die to fast then you should rather focus on why this is and fix the build, check with other within the same class, what they do when under heavy fire, what they use and how they get away.

RNG is always RNG. I did not get a precursor drop for over 2.5 years, and i played pretty much every day (i have over 7000 gaming hour overall). After that a precursor spear dropped, a month later the focus pre, and 3 months after that i got the torch from the mystic forge. Noone of them i really wanted and the torch and the focus ae on my bank, but never the less they suddenly just showered over me.
RNG sucks in any game and you simply have to deal with it. And gambling is ok to do as long as you can handle it and don’t gamble away all you have. That is true words in game and irl
This game is not like any other mmo with quest nodes that point with the whole finger exactly where you go and when and kitten you if you would ever consider go there earlier and break the quest chain. GW2 is not that, GW2 is about exploration, about picking what you want to do for the day. Maybe go to the other races region, maybe join wvw for a while, maybe a few rounds of pvp, or why not craft and gain xp that way or gather material all so you can craft. You can go were ever you want when ever you want. Join a heartquest make them and then make the follow up event, do the world bosses in the lower regions, make jumping puzzles, or jump on a story dungeon when reaching lvl 30. Don’t limit your self, just go out there and do what you want, the map will tell you what level you must be, but if you go to lower level region your character will automatically level down to the right level to gain xp so you never grow out of a region.

There are no number, just join the game and you will see people on each map regardless if it is start region or a higher region. Since there is megaservers we are all ported in to one map and when it is full a new opens, so maps are always having people in it.
How ever i have noticed one thing. There is more activity in EU then in NA both in regions and dungeons. Not sure why this is, first i thought the time zones, but we have active dungeon groups over the whole night in EU. NA seem to not have it much at any point of day compared to EU.

What need to be done is to add xp and karma reward for those that leveling. I was on the map on a leveling charr and i gain 0 xp in the event. Even if i would only mine or pick wood on the whole map during the same time i would get more xp. The only source of xp is to ress people and hoping for people to get down in a event is not really very good.
Also the people who trigger events and then run off after they upscaled it, just to get more stacks and then getting rewarded for doing so is just terrible.
The chat is so toxic towards the event and the new players that it just made me close it and thinking what the hell happen here. This event was suppose to get people to join and buy the game, but if i was new i would not even be on this maps i would be scared off. Why are we cheap on rewards and xp and karma on this event. Why cant we show how awsome gw2 are on event normally, or at least was a year back. Shower them with the rewards, make it a positive thing instead of now were they only see a toxic chat, not getting anything for participating and are overall confused about whats going on. Come on A-net fix this, we want those players to stay!
having to port 20 times on each event cycle do cost, and since we are not getting gold, xp, karma, drops from mobs and random reward maybe (i made 3 event so far and only got the end chest 1 time even though i made at least 10 or more event all with gold medal) is not really showing our new players the awsomeness with out events. When i brag for my frinds about GW2 and their events i always tell them they are never cheap, always nice loot, always xp and karma and drops from mobs. And then i tell them that the events are mostly a bit difficult if you are new to it, but in other games were players whine because they die, GW2 do not accept that, they let their players understand that if you want the loot you work for it . When you are new this is a good way to learn to use your skill to survive and contribute to the event.
I am also somewhat disapointed with no end boss. It was always the case before, but this is just a invasion and nothing else. Just something in the end that sums it up would been great.
So please fix the invasion so they drop what they should and dont be cheap, give the players the loot from mobs, show them what we seen in the past, that in gw2 everybody get loot.
Most people don’t mind to try new things out, to travel to new areas and explore. It is what the game is designed to be.

What does any of that have to do with the current dailies anyway? They don’t require you to explore or do new things. They require you to do specific, pointless tasks that you need to go out of your way for.
I find it funny when players put them self in the middle thinking that every player in this game are on the same spot. I think you have to accept that your way of playing is a bit of a exception. Most people don’t mind to try new things out, to travel to new areas and explore. It is what the game is designed to be. If you do not like this, then you really have to accept that the game can not offer you what you like and either you play with it anyway and hopefully overcome your feelings and start to explore the game and see the greatness of it, or you wont, but asking A-net to change something that is working for most of us in game is not really gonna work. A-net can only try to please ghe bigger part of the gamers, it is impossible to please all.
The daily system is working and unless you play a f2p account you will get your reward just by logging in, the rest is just achivementpoints and some small rewards.
I actually crashed in to Teqatl in the air at one point when jumping and i died from it. I did not expect for this to happen and not sure it is even suppose to happen like that or if it was bugged, but i was full health when jumping, then slamming right in to Teq in mid air and dropped dead there at the spot and falling down. Was a big wtf did just happen-moment
You can not enter EotM, and for crafting you will need gold, if this is your first account then you will have to farm a lot of material or gold before you can craft. Doing pvp is a good option though because you get the level scrolls as reward.
On normal accounts i mostly make a new character within in a few days to lvl 80, i found it a bit more challanging to make it on a f2p account, and i did send gold from my main account to be able to craft. Also gearing is a bit anoying because you have only access to buy blue gear at the Trading Company, so you will have to rely on drops, or in my case i crafted gear on my main account and sent it over.
As for telling people to not join wvw until lvl 80 i am sorry but that is bs. I been leveling 36 characters on 3 accounts, one main, one in na and now one f2p, and i am getting half the levels inside of wvw without being any sort of rally bot, and consider i level and are instersted in xp i am always around the action. I mostly die last, but i also know how to avoid getting in to trouble so if i see a huge mega zerg fight coming up inside of SM i will port out of there to avoid rally people. Wvw are bleeding old players, we need new players so take it as it comes and be nice to them and make sure they will be stuck on wvw so we can grow the player base to be healthy again.
Or you can do what some do and make a character for each race and class
a new tier means there are stats changes, and this is not the case at all. Is it convineance to have it, yes of course, most of us run around with several set in our backpack, not having to do that would be great. But it does not change anything for the game play.
You then compare exotics and ascended as if this is the same thing when this is also not the case. Ascended gear which is the highest stats of gear in this game have better stats the exotics. If you have full set of ascended you will produce more dps/hps then if you have exotic. BUT the fact is that as long as you are not doing the highest fractals, ascended gear is not needed. You will manage with exotics and you can play all parts of the game with it. It still have less stats then ascended, but not enough to be game breaking. So comparing conveniance against higher stats is like mixing apples with pears. It just is not the same thing. Ascended and legendary are the same thing stat wise there for it is not a new tier.
The day they add healers to the game is the day i quit playing ele. I played healer in another mmo for 4 years. I was starring at the party setting all whilst having 15 panic buttons to press to save the tank, heal the healers, top off the dps, cleanse, cleanse, cleanse, cleanse, combat rezz, and holy kitten i need to run out of the aoe and avoid the wave of what ever that is flashing around on the screen. I was good, i was really good, but after i started to play gw2 i realised it was insane and totally stupid that i should have to spend my game time to keep the raid alive when they can do it them self.
I went back to this game for a short visit to check some new features a month back, and i tell you i felt rage when i could not use a freaking cleanse skill, and had to use potions to keep me alive if the healer could not be so kind to cleanse me or heal.
Not being able to take care of my self is just terrible and what i love about GW2, i can surive without having to rely on a healer, and if people whine about heal i tell them i gave them the waterfield, if they did not blast, well then not my problem. This is whats making GW2 special, you share what you can share and you take care of your own health, i dont have to watch the partysettings anymore, i can actually watch the action on the screen instead.
Wow calm your horses, those bots have been in game since the start, they never went away since they are using new accounts. If you block them they will be fewer and fewer until they get hold of new accounts. They use whisper, map chat and have been doing so since beginning.
Dont blame f2p for something they can’t be blamed for. This is a old issue.

I created and tested an f2p account. Fact is:
- F2p accounts can buy AND SELL a lot oft items (even some exo items) in TP.
- f2p bots can wash their gold via TP (means f2p accs HAVE multiple possibilities to geht items and gold to other accounts!)Sadly I’m not at home right now and don’t recall if some runes/sigil were tradeable. I will try it in about 2 hours if noone else responds^^
Then you better tell me how you do this because each time i tried i get a sign up telling me i have to buy the game. And i tried a lot of different stuff. So exactly what did you sell?
I do not care as much about runes/sigils unless they drastically change the prices of superior ones. I am most concerned about them selling mats above T1. Imagine if the ecto supply was suddenly doubled. If T6s were not worth a trip to a level 80 area. If the tools and time to get T2-T5 did not make it worth it to gather them.
Hopefully someone is monitoring prices and dynamically changing what they have access to so as not to allow more fluctuation than normal.

The Sab-pet that is running, dont have the name in my head right now but is breathing stupidly when doing so, is way to loud. The Ooze mini i can not stand either. If there was a option to turn off sounds on minis i would not have any sort of complaints towards them, but some pets are to anoying that it is interrupting my focus in for example WvW and i have to move away from that player.

So obviously we prefer that expression or we would have picked another word along the way, but the majority use it so i find it more bizzarre that you join in now and tell us to change it because YOU think it is wrong. Not to mention it is just a word so why put down so much effort and thoughts to it and then even more efforts in trying to change something that is working as intended for us?
I am all for the restrictions, i tried them out my self and i think they are preventing a lot of problems that could show up. How ever since they do not get access to map chat in game, nor can they access this forums, or rather write anything in it, my sugestions is that you make one forum-section open for f2p account to join were they can ask their questions. This way we are not loosing players who are stuck but don’t find a way to comunicate. Not all people are easy with whispering other players and if we can answer a few quesions in one single forum part i belive we gain more then we loose. It should not be so hard to moderate only one sections to prevent spam and such.
I have played a lot of mmo’s as well, and i have not met one single mmo that do not have a easy start area. You are lvl 9 for christ sake, what do you expect?
Level up to 80 and learn how to play your class. PvE content is old and as in any other game old content are nerfed. New content is coming, and after playing beta, at least i was facerolled a few times by the mobs with a big WTF just happen.
If you want to have challange, join pvp, this you can play full out from the time you get out of the tutorial and are based on your skills and your build. You will be as op or as bad as the guy next to you who played for 3 years, only different will be your rank, which is not effecting the game it self either, unless you like pretty finishers.
If want more pvp but in bigger scale, join world verses world, and be a part of a pvp world that goes on 24/7 with a 15 min break every friday evening (eu time)
Our dungeons have been nerfed of course, they are pretty easy if you go with a group of people that know what to do. They are horrible if you go with a group of people who are there for the first time an wonder where the tank and the healer is. If that is what you are used to, well it for sure will take you a while to figure it out. Selfawarenss and a eye on your health bar and keybind dodge, usually help you a long way. In the end you will get that if you die you die because you did something wrong. There is noone else to blame
If you want more pve and a bit harder, start level up fractals. The higher you make, the harder they are. Of couser they also been nerfed, but we will get higher ranks in fractals with the expansion, so knock your self dead at the harpies and rage your way to the top (yeah i hate the harpies)
If you are in to grinding for loot, karma gold and what not, then fighting plants in SilverWaste will make you use more then your number 1 skill. You will learn your way, but the first time there can be a bit frustrating especially if you get caught by those god kitten cows who run you over if not keeping your eyes on the screen .
In GW2 we have also had something called living story. Those are events added to the game sometimes as often as several times a month and sometimes less. With those there have been events that been pretty awsome. Some easy some more challanging. Those have not come up in a long while due to a-net working on expansion but hopefully they come again later next year.
There are also raids incoming, how those will work i guess we will find out, but they will probably be hard in the beginning.
So grow some patience and level your character and you will find your way in to the game. Don’t expect greatnes at lvl 9, that is kind of asking to much
Other games going free to play meet the same thing. Bots, bots, bots, bots, bots, trolls trolls trolls, people with no feeling for the game because it is free just flows in and ruin the games for those that played it for a long while and those will start to leave one by one because the game they were used to and loved are now full of i don’t give a kitten-players.
I don’t see how this will be different for GW2. I whish they think this through one more time, if this is truely what they are going to do. GW2 have had a really great comunity so far, i don’t want that to change.
In current borderlands it’s not that much of a problem. You sweep inner and that’s extremely easy to sweep.
Outer is usually where the problem is but again, we’re getting big counters to stealth in HoT, are you just going to ignore free stealth traps for guardians which make up the backbone of WvW?
Additionally stealth traps will absolutely ruin a mesmers day or are you deliberately ignoring the tools ANet has specifically given you to deal with this?
Edit: If you made the argument that traps should only cost badges and supply then I’d be 100% in support of that.

What exactly are one guardian going to do, or even 10 guardians going to do when the messmer have several areas, several levels, and about 100 times bigger keep then we have now. If a stealth trap goes on on top of the keeps whilst we are looking in the middle, then we run up there IF we even see it, and when we are up there, the messmer (or thief by all means) have already left the area because it take us 5 minutes to get on top.
The fact that the keeps are HUGE, and have several levels, and as you can see there are no straight sight, there are hiding spots everywere. And spots you can stay in for weeks without being notices. Ok that was a little bit overdoing it, but my point is, those traps will do nothing unless we happen to stay close on it and as the keeps are now, there are no risk for a messmer, they can easy hide and only use stealth to move to another area or another level of the keep. The towers are even bigger then the keep we have today. And also them have several levels. They are a bit easier due to not as much room or as big, but will still be hard to manage to even reach a point were you pin the enemie in to a corner and then can use the traps and what not to get him.
Mesmers want the trait “The Pledge” changed.
Currently it allows you to reduce the torch skill prestige to go from 30s to 13s by camping stealth
This is what is breaking it. This is what the problem is. Not PU. It is the torch trait!
It’s useless for anything but a stealth camping build. Mesmers want it changed to not promote stealth camping and be useful in other builds.
It’s both The Pledge and Prismatic Understanding. And soon also Continuum Split (F5) on Chronomancer.
I broke down how if they fixed the torch trait or simply made it a better trait and removed any CD reduction from it then mesmerising end up with a 2s window of being seen followed by an18s window and that is provided they decicate 2 trait lines (one of which has no use at all for this build other than decoy reduction) 1 GM and 1 adept trait, 2 utility slots and an elite to get that.
In chronomancer you would dedicate 3 full trait lines to being essentially a portal bot who simply spends their entire time waiting in keeps.
Start casting MI and press F5 just before it finishes casting and then press decoy.
We’re at 16s stealth. Then we use prestige, mimic, decoy, decoy mass invis to bump it up to 44s of stealth but takes about 3s to do all that so we only have about 40s of stealth left from initial F5.30s later we can add another 6s to make it 16s (50s total steal them time) and after 2s we use decoy again which brings us up to 20s of stealth with 52s having passed.
At time 72s you now have no cool downs, stealth and continuum shift is almost recharged….but we have no stealth for another 8s.
Additionally we’re getting new ways to reveal stealth with the expansion, dragon hunter gets a trap that can reveal mesmers and we are certainly not in any shortage of guardians in WvW especially when all you need to do is change a trait line.
Revenant will not only have permanent swiftness but a 20s CD reveal also. So yes, while Mesmer with chrono could stealth a bit longer (really only covering up a small gap in stealth early and reducing the 18s gap later) there will also be counters to it out in force.
The days of mesmers and condi thieves hiding in keeps will rapidly come to an end.
Are you ignoring the real issue on purpose? In the new border keeps they do not even have to be stealthed most of the time. They can simply find a spot and hide there and only use stealth to move around. There are no straight corners and easy vison in the keeps. It is full of spots to hide and to move around from spot to spot. This is why stealth classes will be a issue.
add a visible cast bar on mobs and bosses? this way you see what they cast. Seen it in other game, and for me it just makes the game mode way to easy and people just starr at the cast bars and act after that, but if it is a real problem, then yeah cast bars on enemie mobs and bosses in pve would solve issue.

Just take bunch of stealth disruptors and know places, sound and visual effects of stealth skills. Correctly placed traps are almost garanteed death sentence for any hiding class (at inners). But I almost don’t see ppl using them except me (gold league).
Because after taking back or defending a keep that have been breached there is simply not enough suplies to use those traps, the suplies have been used to repair walls/gates/puting up siege for any sort of defense against hordes. In top tiers were there is preassure on keeps suplies are often a huge problem and camps are mostly empty, and dolly snipers are always up.
This have worked okish on the maps we have now. With some hunting and dedication we can kill them off, but new new maps sinply are to big.
Towers are as big as our keeps are now, and they are built so that there are a gazilion of places for players to hide. To cover a keep i would guss you need more then 100 stealth traps and even if you did have that many, the chance that you are next to such trap when it goes off, is very small.
For those that have not seen the keeps and towers on the new borderland yet, scroll through this video and then come back and tell us that stealth classes here will not be a problem. Also remember they will replace our normal borderland maps that we have now with this map. It have even been said that the map will be up for a while before they make a rotation.

Tempest brings perma-protection and huge heals for him and their teammates, but its losing so much self-sustain, CC and dmg compared to Staff, that I dont know if its worth for this extra team support
Not to mention the casting time is stupidly long so anything can be interrupted, and no stab avaiable, so it will be pretty much useless.
Well i have not seen many people only having one character in game. Make one of each class and pick after mood or what your group need.
I mostly have several characters for each class like powernecro/condinecro, supportele/zerkerele, wvw-guard/zerker-guard and so on. Or you can just carry gear in your backpack and change build.
Most players have their favorite class i certainly do, but i can provide any sort of class to what ever i am set to do, which gives me a lot of choices.
If you still want to stick to one class, one build, one set of gear, then this still works. Just avoid joining the groups that say speedrun/zerker and so on. A lot of time when people get trouble is when they join a group were they clearly don’t fit the description. Just respect all players choices and make your own group if nothing fits you.
Anyways, my guild, which was on T2, quit. Most members did chargebacks so we won’t be coming back ever.

Yeah we were on YB. We could not get any fights in the last several weeks because FA and SoS just don’t come out. On the rare occasions they did, after getting thrashed several times they would just sit in their keeps and rain arrow carts upon us endlessly.
Now i am not in NA but reading this (quote under) and about cowing spawn point and what not, then i kind of wonder why you in any way are suprised that they stay inside? Would you come out to a mob were 50 people jump on you when you are 1?
Sometimes i think people are to blind to see what they them self create. Noone with the mind set right would jump out to a raging mob. And that have nothing to do with them being cowards, even less to do with you being awsome server. It is just the system that is very wrong that allow such bullkitten.
Being on FA its tough to have cows hitting me as I WP into EB. The PPT thing is crazy, YB is so large now they try to fight our legendary defenders or find the lost souls wandering out of spawn. I was at Red spawn and decided to come out the back way on the Veloka side only to see a guild stacking in the water below ready to pounce on anyone coming directly out to get into EB. Time for ANET to just manually make a move and toss the glicko in the water next to Red spawn.
I wonder how it went so wrong in NA. Your top tiers have set matches each week for months and months. In EU the top 10 servers have different matches each week. And servers can move up and down between the tiers very easy. Only server not touched have been SFR, but they did just drop down to second place so i guess they are on the rollercoster now as well.
Just some tips since people seem to have left their brains switched off…
- Ranger has access to “Sic Em” – it applies Revealed
- Engineer trait has access to Revealed debuff via traits
- Stealth Disruptor Trap exists. Start using it. But first, start using your brains.
- Most PU Mesmers don’t carry much condi-cleanse, or only have 1, therefore they are weak against conditions. Immobilize them to set up a burst, CC them etc… preferably AFTER you’ve applied Revealed to them to make it easier.
- Trapper builds via thief/ranger work well against a stealthed mesmer
- Turn your sound up/on; you can hear the enemy Mesmer’s skills (stealth) going on/off CD and may help you distinguish where exactly they are
Seriously guys, get it together.
I asume you did not play on the new borderland? It really will be impossible to catch thiefs and messmers inside of those. The keeps are HUGE and there are so many spots and on so many levels that you would have to have a full zoneblob constantly running inside for hours until you can be on the safe side. There are just walls, corners, levels, los and posiblity to move between them without you see them. The amount of stealthtraps you would have to use and the chance that you are next to one when it goes off is roughly around zero.
Consider there is also already a problem with glitching and hacking messmers, this will be next to impossible to prove unless they do it on purpose infront of you.
The idea the person in first post are giving is actually a good idea and should be thought of. First time i enter those keep my first thought was, my god, this will be messmer heaven and we will never have any upgraded keeps, and this will turn in to karmatrain a la EotM. We saw what this means on golem week, were we lost a big pile of wvw population already.
Well before they had living story and special events coming up to make change in game. This have not been the case for what is it now? Half a year? Maybe more? well i dont count the dragon event it was like a week. I realise they are busy with expansion, but people are bored and stop log in, so they should throw in a event, something, ANYTHING!!
Had the same issue yesterday actually. Was taking a keep but did not get credit, and i for sure was active in the cap from start to end and was standing on the floor in the middle and got nothing. Next keep i had not problem and got it.
A friend of mine brought this subject up as well that he noticed this happen several times the last week.
Maintanance work does not mean that they are looking for hackers, nor does it mean they will check each server logs to see if a hacker is loose on it or not.
If you have a account name, and even better a video then send this to exploits@arena.net with time stamp and short explanation about whats happening. Do not expect anything happening within hours, maybe even days. And do not expect a answer back telling you what they did or did not do. This is something that no game company are allowed to give away since most of them are using non disclosure agreements, and i can only asume that a-net are no different.
And authenticators for GW2 learn the range of non-static IP addresses pretty quickly. It’s not the first time that’s ever been addressed.

By the way learning adress ranges is a security risk, because over time it will white list all IPs from your ISP and if it is a large ISP it includes a lot of peopleYou have 2 choices, either use one, or don’t. If you want the message to go away, use one. If you don’t, deal with the messages. Anet wants people to have secure accounts, because it costs them money when people are hacked. So either add one, or press the button. I really hope they don’t remove it and force people to pick one to secure their accounts. It’s stupid to not protect yourself. The more people have authenticators, the less likely they will get hacked, thus helping keep the ticket numbers down.
This answer is like Hello rainbow to me and does not make any sense what so ever. Noone is asking a-net to remove the security option, i my self belive it is good offer. What i do ask is a option to untick that i do not have a mobile and there for can not use this service and wont have to deal with the message.
This option do not change anything except that the people not having a mobile or don’t want to use the offer, can now do the two steps it took before to log in, instead of 3. Imo i should not have to tick remind me later when i don’t even own a mobile.
After about 10 tries last night i finally got in to GW2 and wvw. I had 2 dc during evening but overall i could play, so though problem was solved. Today when i log in it is the exact same thing. I can not log in and if i manage to get to load screen i get message saying i lost connection to server please try again later.
Please fix this issue because it is not ok that i have to log in 300 times before i can actually stayed logged in and play.
This started yesterday and i can’t be kitten d dealing with it again. There was this same issue a few months ago, but you got that fixed somehow, now it is unfixed again and it is getting on my nervs.
Seen many hackers in pve as well, but since that is not really effecting anyone in person or server wise, or in any way fixing scores, i tend to not care that much unless they are messing up my game. Then i might report them. In wvw it becomes more obviouse and more infected since it is game breaking, and can change scores.

I do actually not use a mobile, for the simple reason i don’t need it in my life. So having to press remind me later for something that will NEVER happen anyway is kind of anyong. Please add a option to No thank you so i dont have to make three jumps just to log in.

There is absolutly no need for mounts what so ever in GW2. Waypoints are way faster then a mount will ever be. I actually came to this conclusion again after i went back for a short test of a former mmo i was playing for a long time before i stopped and decided to focus on gw2. This game have mounts, fast mounts. They also have a portal system, but yet i tell you the amount of time i spent on the mount was way longer then i do by using waypoints in GW2.
I also noticed that people are freaking lazy in that game because it takes a short while to unmount and mount, and players apparently don’t want to do this, so they sit on their kitten waiting for others to finish off what they should be a part of.
So please let GW2 be special and have their own thing. No mounts!!
I don’t mind them being difficult, i don’t mind them as veterans or even champions. If there is events with them i will gladly try and beat them and learn how to deal with them. Hard content is always fun and i appreciate that there is such thing in the game since before SW, there was really nothing challanging. BUT, yeah of course there was a BUT, what i don’t appreciate is that they place 3 of those veterans, together with 3 other veterans and some kitten bow npc that hits you with 7-8 k on each arrow and the aoe poison throwing thingys on one spot. And oh yes there was beetles as well and all in a passage you have to move through and no you could not glide there, this is on the way up in a area with walls, so you have to pass them and when you do you pull them all unless you can stealth. And it kept on going that way.
Some of those also had a aggro range that was huge. I had one of those smokescales running half across the map chaising me. Up the stairs, down the staris, there was no way to shake them off.
So what i would want is to have those mobs placed over the map and added to events, but i do not wish to see them and fight them every 10 meter. It just is to much mobs everywere and having to nonstop fight for your life just to move to a location is just to exhausting. Not to mention there was very few spots were i could get out of combat to wp due to so many mobs.
So don’t nerf them, but please make a bit less of them in areas were we are just transporting so it does not take me 10 min to move 5 meter because i have to fight 5 vets, 1 champ and 10 normal mobs.
I play both, how ever what is keeping me in GW2 and have for 3 years is not PvE, it is WvW. If i feel that all this changes and events keeps on going in the wrong direction were a-net do not listen to us players and keep on doing the oposit to what we ask, then PvE will not keep me from leaving GW2.
The fights in wvw, small or big, raids or pugs, gvg and what not and the fact that you can not predict all that happens in a fight is what keep me in GW2. PvE can never replace that.
It just a week long event, it not permeninte, why not just enjoy the roller coaster for the week, it not the end of the world?
Lets give all mobs and bosses in PvE 250% more health, double their damage to all players and make them 100% faster. It will be fun, it is only a week, join the rollercoster!
So we all rush the border with a golem zerg and it was fun to wreck the enemies and burning them down to the grond, taking keeps in just 30 sec, instant down thiefs messmers and rangers (yes we have the same range as rangers so nowere to hide for them). After that it was about cap and recap, cap and recap, cap and recap, cap and recap. After 2.5 hours and the longest fight we had that evening lasted for 45 sec, i was ready to fall a sleep on the keyboard because i was so bored. The only thing that amused me by that time was to listen to my golem when he was dancing.
This week will totally empty the border and everything will be paper because why bother upgrade something that will be gone in short.
Next time there will be events, please have them over the weekend and not the whole week. This way we can go on and play as usual if the event don’t fall as well as you guys hope for. This event wont.
There are no gear to buy in the store what so ever. All gear can only be acquired in game. Wardrobe is something else, it have no stats and are only for looks, and there was never any promise what so ever made that all wardrobe can be acquired at any point.
For several days now i noticed i get conditions applied to me when standing inside of a tier 1 keep far off from any sort of damage. Or inside of a tunnel were players are not in front, behind, inside but above inside of the lordsroom. I get hit with chills, bleed, vulnerability even fear and there is nothing that i step in to, nothing that any enemie can hit me with even if he would zoom out full out. It is just traveling through walls and roof and even floors. At one point just standing inside of the keep i had 6 stacks of bleed, chill and vulnerability and one fear on top of that. There was for sure enemies outside the walls and lots of them, but noone could hit me or reach me in any way or situation. Combat log prove this. It is only applied conditions, no hits or any other sort of damage involved.
As far as i can tell it is conditions coming from sigils and runes. Because as i said, i don’t stand in anything or get hit by anything, this is just applied to me randomly. Do not know how explain the fear though, because that happen as well several times, but as far as i know there are no random fear through sigils or runes, only those that apply by hitting a necro with them, and this was not the case. I was not even in battle at any points when this happens.
I have sent several bug reports, but i want to make sure this is looked in too so i put it in forum too.
The ingame UI is garbage and broken, it has tiny pictures I can’t find large versions of online. Why couldn’t they even take the tiny trouble of posting a full sized pic on their website? kitten …
Or we could turn it and ask why could you not take the tiny trouble of watching that video and see what you ask for, before you scream in the forum

It is amazing how many people seem to feel they have rights to decide what should and should not be included and how much it should cost. The truth here is, you have nothing to say about this what so ever, and if you feel it is to much then don’t buy the game. Expansions do cost money, mostly just as much as the game once did. This is nothing new. A-Net is a company that want to earn money, that is how the real world works.
Up to now GW2 have been amazingly free from extra charges, to be able to go on playing. Now they made a expansion and if we want them to keep up with what they done in the past, then we will have to pay for the expansion so they can keep on working on the game. Expecting anything else is a bit naive.

I only bought the game a month ago thinking I’d get it before the expansion to give me time to familiarise myself with the game before it comes out. Screw me I guess, just paid 45 bucks to play the game for a month and now I have to buy it again.
Expansion been known much longer, so if you did not have this in mind when you bought GW2, then yes you made a bad choice, but you can not really blame A-net for such thing, since if that was the case, no new things can ever be added
