Create a true risk to moving between maps

Well to be fair smaller groups also create this problem them self (and notice i run small groups too so i have no issues with roaming) by ganking smaller groups or players moving alone. It happen far to often that i roam, run in to a group of 4-5 and they jump me with all they have. If the group instead stopped and had a duels aginst the player/players, you would create something that would make more people insterested in fighting instead of avoiding groups.

I am not saying you are a ganker, but this is a real problem that small groups gank as well and creating a enviroment were people who are unsure of their skills rather move with a bigger group or avoid small groups if they know that group wont stop and give good fights instead of gank.

Bumping this since a patch been done and this bug is really causing trouble. Last night i even watched a wall that was about to upgrade fromreinforced to fortified and it spawned with 0 hp. Enemies came just the same time this happen and took it because our team did not even get the chance to port and run.

This is a comon bug and i see them every day now since i check every tower and keep i pass. Please patch it!

Finally some comunication, it feels a bit bitter still due to taking so long to reach to that point, but i chew it up and give you full credit for doing it because THIS is how you make wvw better, by talking to us and then actually listen.

Ok so feedback.
The dollie version of upgrades feels a bit unsteady because 1, the dollies are far to easy to kill. A few hits from range and it is dead. Consider ranger have longer reach then any of us, they will kill them off before we reach them. Keeping track on all sniper rangers on the map will be hard. So if using dollies as upgrade then ugrade the dollies, so that they are harder to kill.

The rally system, well i love it, and the fact that we can not ress dead in combat even better. Maybe it also stop all the people lying on the ground dead for ages waiting for a ress instead of running back to the fight. Will be hard to adjust to the rally i guess because you are used to rely on it and also to pick a target that is low when you are down. But the changes are good in the end.

PPT THIS is by far the best change. Especially for top tier servers and more so EU top servers. We have two kinds of top servers. Those that play for the fights and more or less ignore the ppt, i belive there are 2-3 servers like that, and then the other that ppt like crazy all day and night and you have to bash the gates down and drag them out to even get a fight unless there is a zoneblob of 100 involved. Adding PPK will give a good change to all that.

Also feedback you did not ask for. Please go through the maps both new and old and make bug fixes. There are so many bugs right now and some really game breaking (like walls spawning with zero hp when upgrading)

EotM is not even close to similair to fractals. If i would compare anything, then it would be chest farm in SilverWaste with ocational hiting one if you run in to a another group of upscaled. Noone of you are there to pvp, but on ocation this happens.

EotM have nothing to do with wvw, since most stuff in EotM is about pve, and if lucky (or unlucky if like you don’t like pvp) you run in to enemies. WvW it is the other way around it is about pvp and if lucky (or in my case unlucky) i run in to pve mobs.

Either way, EotM for some reason give you badges when capturing worms and killing two leg bears, so in your case were you hate pvp and want badges, EotM is the thing.

Lately i run across walls in wvw, in EB were they were low on hp to a point were you don’t even see the wall hp bar anymore. I been wondering each time what happen there and why it was not taken, why enemies did not come back, why there never was any siege that took the wall down that low. Mostly i just shrugged about it thinking ohwell i guess someone lazy interrrupted them and did not repair wall after.

I seen those walls in both towers and keeps and even on SM. Today i was in Langor just hanging around scouting when a the tower upgraded to reinforced. I realised that the tower was indeed upgraded but one wall had 0 hp. Was still standing but yeah 1 hit with catta and it would be down. And this is were i realise the upgrade have a bug and not all walls spawn with full hp when upgrade goes through.

This is kind of a big problem because 1. It is very hard to defend since you will take it down with just one hit and noone will have a chance to run and defend, and 2. The repair cost for each wall is rather high, especially if it is fortified walls were it is not even enough suplies. This means we have to drain the tower/keep to fix a wall that should not be down to 0 anyway.

The bug is not tied to any specific server color, i seen them on all sides, and it seem to be bugged both to reinforced and fortified because i seen both. I don’t think it always bugs, because i been scouting other torwers or keeps that upgrading just fine, so i have no clue where the issue is that cause the bug.

Been like this since last patch i think. There is dead bankers everywere, and if your keep is upgraded already and not taken it will stay dead forever.

Working on thief, wont do warrior until warrior elite is some what usefull. Have several alts that also need to be done at some point, but will do that when i feel like it.

In a Disney World were all people think and feel the same thing about the game this might be a good thing, but realisty is that if this goes live, it will be decided what team that will be the faceroll team, and then everybody else will do what they can to get in to that team. And then faceroll the other servers.

This is nothing new, been done in so many games with the same result. And in the end players leave because they can’t be kitten d to try and join the winning alliance, and they do not like being farmed, and left is the people asking why noone is playing anymore.

WvW was a exsclusive game mode and i have no idea why anyone wants to ruin it by making it to something that already is out there and not working well. It is a absolutly garantie that the day this happens and servers have no meaning anymore, they will loose half the wvw population and the other half will bleed off within half a year, probably less. Just watch EoTM, and how the green team always won. This is how a big pile of gamers plays, they don’t want to fight for the win, they just want to be on the winning side.

I played other games with factions, and they ended up being kitten since in the end it turns out that human beings do not want to fight for the win, they want to join the winning team, so from those game that have this implemented it mostly turns our that one team will faceroll the other two. And in the end people will be tired and leave and those left are there to farm something. This is also what happen to EotM (Green team anyone?) when it came out. In the beginning it was actually tried by wvw players but we left it fast and then green team became the winning team and people started to use it to grind stuff.

WvW in GW2 is different because of the server pride. I understand that this is something that is not working properly in lowest tiers, but in EU we have at least 17 servers with dedicated comunities, might be more i don’t know much about the absolute lowest tiers except from what i heard. Removing servers means there is nothing that will keep you tied to something. So the only thing that will be important is the win, and that is were all other games have made it wrong. They created factions. And it failed. None of those game have been able to keep their players interested in nearly 4 years like gw2 and wvw have.

So as a answer to your question. When they change it to factions, i will join it as i did with EotM and see if my predictions is right (as they were with EotM) and when i see they are, i will most likely not play wvw anymore, because i never favored games that only have faceroll trains (no not even if i am on the side with the train), were chats are so toxic and rip groups appart, and enemies taunting on the other side telling how bad the other two groups are.
I spend 3.5 years in wvw, 7000 hours of gameplay in a game mode that i loved and could not wait to log in to it each day. If it turn in to factions or the like were no servers are tied to the people playing it, i will not stay and watch the game mode die.

Question: I didn’t get a chance to play yesterday. What exactly did they do with the “bug fix” mentioned in the Dec 1 post, about being able to teleport for a few seconds between Repel Attackers events?
Isn’t this how we’ve been defending for 3 years now? Or was there an actual bug.

Is timer still meaningful? Can we still spam WP?

If anyone who played after the patch can explain this, it would be much appreciated.

When it’s working as Anet intended, you can only WP when no enemies attacking, i.e. no WP with timer during defending, our old WP-PORT NAOW is gone…
IF you ignore the glorious Emergency Waypoint .
Basically if an npc gets in combat (like attacking another npc), the keep will be contested and the WP unusable, making it impossible to use on a regular basis…………

Except for that i have not seen any guild having a emergency waypoint, so in the end it is one waypoint on the map and that is spawn. So now it will take even longer to run. I dunno but in my ears this favors huge zergs, and kicks defenders in the nuts.

I have a bit of mixed feelings about this. On the other hand I think it’s good that you can actually siege a keep and keep defenders from getting in there if you have all entries covered.

On the other hand this will probably lead in even more keep flipping than before. Objectives change hands too often (IMO) already.

But at least there’s an incentive to stop and ress defeated defenders now.

Except for that it stops the defenders to port in as well. This is all good if the defenders are equal numbers, but consider defenders on homeborders right now is roughly around 5-10 if that, and zergs passing by with 50+ well again defenders are the loosers.

As for ressing, does not make any matter to me. If i can ress without dying my self i will, if i can’t and you lie on the floor waiting for ress whilst enemies taking the keep instead of running back, then i will just port out and let them have it.
Seriously, those people having vacation dead on the floor thinking this is ok whilst few try to save something, when them running back might be the thing that turns it all around, it just blows my brain up and i mostly leave the border and goes to eb instead.

At least they fixed the bug on the hammer 2 were it apparently did not do enough damage on the edges, so all is well now.

Well at least they finally fixed the Revenants number 2 skill that is way to op…. wait no they didn’t they made it more op.

Keep Waypoints - Now perma-blocked?

Makes even less reason to care about the new map. And i am on a top tier server and have yet up to now never seen or heard anyone using the emergencie waypoint. We even have a thread in our comunity forum were we post what upgrades avaiable.

And it is all good they fixed aggro on mobs in jerry and ogre, but what about the green keep? It is always contested by a trigger happy npc on the west side shooting drakes. So i guess the waypoint on green will be forever locked.

I dunno anymore, the new post about were wvw is going and now this, just put me in a state of i can’t care anymore. My reason for playing this game is about to go down, and a few months back it was all i cared about for 4-8 hours a day, now i have hard time to even log in to gw2. Just feels pointless.

I Dont Want The Old Maps Back!

Imo they should put back the old maps whilst they rework the new one. Waiting for them to do so will take to long and more players will leave.
Having the old map back and then have a long talk with their players about how to fix the new maps and what can be removed and what should be kept would really solve a lot of issues and they have time to work on it whilst we play the old maps waiting for the reworked one to come.

It is not so much about you being weak, the new maps are about awarenes, movements, gliding (you can glide over most mobs) and understanding the mobs and what they do so you can counter. As thief you have more option then the avrage class through stealth and dodges, use this. But also be aware of that there are mobs, champs and legendary mobs that can one shot you if you are not aware of what is going on, when he casts or charge.

Honestly, now I’m waiting for someone to try this and then come back here and say “TROLLZZ IT DOESN’T WORK”. There goes 6+ lvl 80 characters and (most) of the rewards of 2000 hours of gaming. Honestly, though, if time = money? You’ll pay the gems for the transfer. Seriously.

Edit: okay, maybe not most of the rewards. A lot, though.

Also you guys don’t seem to really read what i write. I have said it two times now, this way is NOT the optimal way to do it. Pay the gems to move is the best thing and i also done this with my mainaccount, so i tried both ways.
BUT if you are stuck on a server, you are miserable on it, you don’t have the money to pay for gems or simply don’t want to pay for it, and you thinking of quitting the game, then this is a option and it do work.

As i already stated this is not the best way of moving, but if you consider giving up the game because you feel the wvw on your server are not what you want it to be (and trust me there is people in all tiers that feel thi), and you do not want to wait and see if there will ever be a free way, then this is at least a option instead of quitting.

I seen this come up a lot so i would like to mention for all those that don’t know this, but you can move your account without paying one single gem for it. What you will have to do is to delete all your characters. All of them. If you have legendaries or ascended gear or weapons, place them on your bank to together with everything else you want to save.
Gold, laurels and everything else are ofc also saved, WvW rank is saved. And when all this is done and all characters are gone, you go to server selection and you can make your move without paying anything for it.

You will have to level your characters on the new server ofc, which goes fast if you powerlevel. Many have level scrolls on their bank anyway so if you do just use them when you are on the new server.

Things that do not get saved, is your crafting progression. It will go down to zero and you have to level them all up again.

If WvW is your thing, and you are unhappy at your server but can’t afford to move, then this might be the way for you. It is ofc not the best way, but sometines it still might be worth it, depending on how you feel about the server you are on.

You can delete all your characters on your account, then place legendaries and ascended gear/weapons on your bank and everything else that is important to you and then it is free to move your account at any server you wish, that is open. You will have to level all your characters again, which if you powerlevel should not take a lot of time, maybe a week for each if you are in a hurry.

You wont be saving the crafting, you will save wvw ranks, but this way you get out of your server and can move to another server totally free.

You do realise that if this is done, it will be the last nail in the coffin. The people who play wvw every day for hours and have for years will not play it like this. There are ofc a few, mostly those that play wvw sometimes, or just joined the game, but most veteran players, old players knows that it is the comunity on the server that makes wvw.
If you have not figured it out yet, you need to find a server were the comunity is active.

A-net can i please have my meteorshower hit with 10 k on each meteor. I mean it is my aoe skill that i have to stand still to cast, so why should it hit less then something that a Revenant just casually spam inside of a zerg. Today on my Revenant in side of wvw, my hammer two critted one poor guy with 14 k. And the rest hit with 6-7 k. People are falling like flies in zergs. In the end i switched to my ele because i actually felt like i was abusing a bug, Especially since i can hit people on the other side of a wall.

And person that said yeah but it cost energy and have cd. Yeah it have a 2 sec cd and by then the energy you used are back to full. 2 sec is practically no cd.

Fix the aggro on npc towards mobs

I get it, you are not going to talk to us, nor change anything, fine, but could you at least run a bug fix on EB and remove the over aggro from all the guards in towers and keeps. They are constantly contested because the npc like to snipe drakes from the walls or chaise bats half way across the map. It is so anoying to never have a waypoint on eb that is not contested due to npc, or having to run to a tower every 5 min to check so that this one out of the other 100 times i run to check that it is not a real enemie but the trigger happy npc. It has been like this since HoT came out and it should not be that hard to make a bug fix on it since this have been a issue in the past, and the fix should already be there to grab.

ok stop giving me transmutation charges, stop giving them to me for pvp, stop giving them to me for map completion (seriously, you think thats equal to a lion key)
ive got well over 100 of them and nothing to do with them (im already beautiful)

i will angrily post in this thread every time i get one from now on, you could atleast let us exchange 50 of them for a lion key or something

It is actually only in pvp they shower us with it. Before i started to play pvp i was constatnly missing transmutation stones. Now i am constantly around 100 as well which i am happy about since i have 14 characters were i switch wardrobe a lot.
In PvE you never get them as rewards ever. Only place to pick them up in pve is once a week in daily log in chest and if lucky inside of BL chests. There might be one in the story as well cant remember. But my point is, not all people play pvp and those people actually lack of the stones unless they buy them.

Ill do you one better had a guild mate actually pulled thu a fully reinforced wall tonight and killed they were hitting us all thu the same gate and walls not aoe wide rage hits like they were targeting us and hitting! just more BS cheats…

It isn’t cheaters, it is bugs in games not being fixed fast enough. Pretty much every class can hit los. Revenant is the worst since his hammer 2 just keep on travel inside and up another wall or in to the air. Don’t acuse people of cheating, adress the issue to anet who need to start bugfix in wvw.

imo they should have a zerg que and we who like to pvp que. I am not playing pvp at this moment except for the daily, because of the endless zergs which provide no fights only ganking one or two and it just sickens me. Sometimes you are lucky and get a 1v1 fight and you are having fun and then either my team or the enemie team zerg in and splat the other person. And this is where i just give up.

And if you by any chance try and tell your team to split up and take the points instead of ganking one person, you will get kitten back and that is when i ask my self why i bother to play pvp and i mostly leave.

PvP is changing with f2p, it was no way perfect before, but the last months it reached a point were it just is not worth it, you gain no skills by gank people and i am in pvp to push my skills, learn more and have fun. It is not fun to zerg. pvp is not about zerg. If you like zerging, wvw provide this in a better way were you can hide in the group not ever having to fight on your own.

I don’t think anyone here mind that it can be a hard fight to deal with, i certainly don’t. What i do mind is having wipes because the game is not functioning as it is suppose to do. No jump, no updrafts, the rift out on the plain air not being able to interacti with it. Being one shotted in the air when you finally get both jump and updraft to work one time, it is just nerv breaking, and i am mostly a decent person that don’t swear much. But again, i was ready to throw the pc out the window. And i will for sure never ever replay it unless i get a clear message saying that i will only have to deal with the story and not the bugs.

Did you really get one shot in the air or did you get shot, drop down and then die immediately in the ground aoe? In the former case that would certainly be frustrating and you’re right, I can’t imagine that to be intended (though one could argue that to be part of the last boss challenge).
If it’s the second case however, I see that as working as planned, as hard content. I did the mission twice, first with my assassin-geared thief. Low hp led to me dying pretty much every time I got hit with a rock, b/c I couldn’t survive on the ground long enough to get to the next updraft (that was the chara I kept on destroying the armor on in all my attempts to get through the mission). After that I also took my revenant in pvt gear through the fight and I did not have any problems (other than taking longer due to lower dmg). Even if I was hit by a rock and got sent down to ground, my hp and armor allowed me to simply run up to the next updraft and get airborne again without getting killed. So in order to get through this, there’s being good/getting practise at dodging the rocks (or using a vine above to land as I’ve seen in a vid) or gearing up for survival. And that’s fine imho.

So yeah, I see the flying/rock section as part of the hard challenge which doesn’t really need to be changed, except of course all the bugs. I really do get the frustration you talk about though, I had to take breaks between all my attempts b/c I got riled up as well. It also helped that I had a guild mate I could cry to in between the attempts to vent a bit

No one shotted, felld down with a pleff and was ported directly up to the top, were i then watched my friend finish it for me. If he hadn’t i would never come back.
Fun thing was that he finished his story several days before me and when i told about my bugs and said i will not go back!! he was like are you sure? Maybe you didn’t do it right? I come with you and show you. And then it was a looong big wtf session with him were he said over and over this never happen to me before.

The jungle, the gliding, the adventure games inside of the jungle, the open world events, the raids, new class, new elite specs and more are all reasons to buy the expansion.
How ever it is not a clear yes, wvw have super issues with the new map and anet do not respond at all to it.
PvP have issues and the fractals have issues, and for us that mostly play those modes on regular have a lot of disapointments to put up with.

With that said, i still would have bought the expansion just to try out all those things i mention first. It wont keep me in game as wvw did for 3 years (unless there will be changes coming to wvw soon), but expansion still have value for me.

Other than the obvious bugs, I think the last mission is mostly fine. I mean, it IS the big end battle, so it shouldn’t be too easy. The only problem I see is the boss vespers mentioned earlier, that is a really troublesome fellow when going in solo and with no possible stability.
For the updrafts I’d say it just needs practise (I completely destroyed my armor twice while going through this mission before I had enough experience to maneuver safely), but maybe it could be changed so the ground dmg starts a few secs after the updrafts spawn? That way you have time to locate them, head over and get into the air. As it is now, I always immediately run to the NPCs cuz I know by now there’s one spawning there.

Had super issues with the up jump. It bugged 5 times in a row, after that it worked 1 time but the updrafts bugged instead, nothing happen at all. Last try i finally had both updraft and jumps working, but then the rift was placed out in the air and i could not interact with it and i ragequitted the story. After refusing to doing it for 2 weeks my friend said i have to finish it, so we tried and it bugged out again for me on the first try, second try both jump and updraft worked, but then i got one shotted by boss. Next try jump did not work, but my friend went on and finished it for me, because the jump worked for him and he managed to keep alive when updrafts did not. This is the first week of raids. Eventually people will go back to doing meta events.

But I do agree that the raid should have a separate waiting map..

They will release new wings every so often, this was already said, so the issue will not go away.

The reason it feels empty is because there are a ton of pugs standing outside the raidinstance sending messages in the chat about lfg. So half of the map is doing that, whilst the other half is trying to get the events going, which actaully was something i gave up on two of the maps today. Entrance have to be removed and placed on a map were you dont need all the people to be there to push the map forward.

I’m not finding anything that says anything about getting a free transfer when upgrading a free account. Can someone please post a link?

So either the free transfer is broken or the in-game text is wrong. My guess is that it’s more likely the popup is wrong. No where else when talking about upgrading your account, and the benefits of doing so, whether in the wiki, help topics, store, etc. mention anything about receiving a free transfer. But I could be wrong.

No free accounts should get the free transfer when they upgrade because free accounts do not get to choose their server when created just the region.

This is incorrect, you get to choose server and region with f2p accounts. I made one just a few days ago and wanted it on a specific server, and was no problem at all.

When players do this it makes me laugh and wonder what they feel they ackomplish. They still lost the fight, and avoid stomping might boost their own morale, but in my mind i just won a second victory.

Noooo not you too, you were always the person i knew i would find on the homeborder, and when i saw you on EB i nearly fell off my chair. I agree with everything you written and i tried my best to get our voice heard in here together with others, but nothing yet so i understand why people give up. I feel the same frustration and are just running out of will because of no response what so ever of were this is going. WvW was everything, and our homeborder was were my heart always was, now there is nothing to do on them, and noone want to play on the new borders.

All the yes sayers told us to wait and see wvw will come back to normal when all got their heropoints, i have that on 7 on my characters, and people did not come back, just as we said already in the beta test. And the people who like the map are obviously not the players that play wvw that often or are the bigger part of the players, because i for sure don’t see you guys out there playing it.

Oase PvE event in wvw is lagging the map out

I heard about it, but until yesterday i did not really have that much issues. Last night my guild decided to just fool around in wvw. We decided to find the hidden quagan cave on the map so off we went, and forr those that know about it, it is far off from any sort of battle. We giggling our way to it, and having fun inside when the oase event is anounced, and BOOM, suddenly none of us can use any of our skills and it feels like we are walking aroud in glue, inside of a cave far off from any sort of bigger group and no orange swords on the map.

Event is done by others whilst we are still in the cave talking about what the hell is going on and why are we lagging this bad rubberbanding all over the place (this lag is worse then in eb with 3-way fights with 60+ in each group). As soon as the lazer fires off, and event is done, lag is gone. As in totally gone and my fps goes back to normal from hiting as high as 275 within the event. This was a problem for every one in the group and on the map and not just one person with a bad pc or connection, but everybody.

The pve event is terrible as it is and should not even be there in the first place, but when it is, please at least fix the lag that comes from it because the game is more or less unplayable whilst it is up.

Mail scammer on the loose

Was looking through the forum but could not find anything, so creating new topic, but feel free to merge it if there is another post.

When i logged in today i got a mail inside of the game saying my account will be banned for 72 hours unless i pressed a link to change my password in the mail. The mail did not have the Arenanet logo so i realised it was from a scammer. How ever there should really be a warning done to players, so that we don’t have to see people loosing their account to a scammer.

I did of course report the guy but want to make sure A-net actually see it and take care of it so there for i make a post here as well.
I also want to make players aware of it and that you never interact with a mail in game unless it have ArenaNets logo on it. Also a game company would never ask you to give away a password through a mail, nor to log in to a webside not related to the normal way of interact with your game account, so be aware if you recieve such mail and don’t fall for it.

My Necro tank has 31K HP and 2K toughness or somewhere around there. A Dragonhunter that locks me in the trap will kill me in about 2-3 seconds.

Sounds fine by me.

Well you have locked your self down by playing tanky as hell. With 31 k hp and 2 k toughnes, you might eat damage done to you in pvp, but you have nothing to damage back with that is effective enough, and slow damage means your enemies will have their cd back before you even reach a point were you can kill them off.
You need to ballance your build to be able to counter

Besides the quite negative attitude towards anet I think one of the biggest factors is time.
Many problems that are being named take a very long time to be fixed properly.. Like nightcap, population issues etc. WvW is so complex that the devs can never know if what they are working on will be fine with all the other things together. They could say “we are working on this” and just not find the right solution for 2 years. Then everyone would freak out because the devs “promised” it. For every topic we have at least 10 different ideas from players in these forums. If they look here they have to code and test all these different approaches, and then 3 or 4 solutions for a single problem have to work together as well.
Nobody can foresee how long this will take. Unfortunately.
And ofc we don’t know how much work they did in the past at all.

This would not prevent them from having a dialouge with us about our concerns and listen to what we say and let us hear what they have to say. This respect is given in pve and pvp, why do us wvw player’s not deserve the same respect?

IGN about the new Borderland map

The lack of players is due in great part to the server system, the old Alpine maps were also empty before the update. Even if they did added waypoint to the new map there is not enough players around to fill them.

I had plenty of players to fight in the old borders, even in the last week before HoT !

And im in T9 EU

I fought like…3-4 guys TOTAL in the new borders (yeah, total…as in, since HoT came out)

The server system is not the problem here !
Its the completly automated upgrades and no WP’s in the side keeps that are hurting us the most ! Both of which are really easy to fix (hell, just slapping an “Upgrade” button on the quartermasters that a player has to press for the tower/keep/camp to upgrade would be enough)

Thats a lie. I say so because on t1, even months before HoT, the BL were empty 90% of the time on the weekdays aside from the random zergblob ktrain from whichever server was bored. The problem is theres to many servers, plain and simple. There should be 3 tiers max.

Unless you are on the top tier server in EU that is falling like a rock due to imploding it self due to issues on the server and there for are empty, then the lie is on you. There is players on every top tier server, and was before the expansion. Not 24/7, but for sure at least my server had constant fights, small or blobby, to be found on at least one of the maps several times an hour. The people that was there then, are still around, most packed up in EB others waiting for response from Anet what will be done but can not be kitten d to join the new border due to the bad flow in it and are waiting in pve, and then there are those that left and waiting outside of the game playing other games hoping anet will fix it soon, and about as many that left for good. And that is the reason why you have empty borders at this very point.

The longer we wait, the worse the situation will get, because there is so much waiting we can do and especially for those that are playing gw2 for wvw, and do not fancy the pve part of the game. In the end there has to be a word about it, or people will just drop off and then it will really be as empty in the way you describe..

Small Guilds, stop complaining about GHls

The hypocrisy, it is real. The small guilds crying on the forums are the vocal minority. Just like everything else you see on the forums. People that are happy with how things are running are not going to say so on the forums. That is why every post on the forum is someone crying about something. I agree with OP about GH. People that CHOOSE not to be in a large guild need to accept that they won’t have the same access as those who do.

You are aware of that there are guilds in this game aiming only for example towards wvw or pvp? Were a guild halls is necesary to be able to arrange GvG’s or duels and other things only aiming towards wvw? Those guilds do not have 300 members since that would kind of loose their focus and no posibility to build a strong hard core group to compete with. This groups will struggle, because what 300 people can gather in weeks, the small wvw focused guild will take months, and in the end even years to reach the goal if you look further ahead on what upgrades really cost.

You feel they have no need or should not have the right to have a guild hall? Even though the arena is designed for this purpose towards smaller fights agains other guilds. There is also upgrades like emergency waypoints to save keeps and towers, and buffs to put on camps/keeps/towers. You feel this buffs and waypoints should not be reachable by the guilds that are in wvw every day for many many hours and are keeping your server in a good spot? Only the huge social guilds with 300 people who you rarely see in wvw anyway should be able to make this? How is this helping the server? The small wvw guilds?
