Unfortunately, I do not know the exact location of the weapons but do know that they are Exotic with a required level range of 62 to 80. Sadly there aren’t any on the Trading Post either at the moment, which suggests they may only be available via the Mystic Forge or as part of an undiscovered craft recipie.
On a side note, the Svanir Hammer shares the same model you describe. This could be a drop as part of the Svanir Dynamic Event chain.
Good luck finding it
Magic Find is an additional benefit that increases a players chance to receive rare loot drops and can be obtained in various forms, such as in WvW (outmanned bonus) Runes (most common) or Food.
It’s relatively easy to achieve magic find in excess of 100% with Superior Rune of the Pirate providing 50% and a range of food that also provides varying amounts (from 2% to 40%). In addition, there are also various Jewels that provide 4% increments.
There is very little data in regards to how effective it currently is but and from experience I would recommend (though this isn’t a cheap option) that you have 2 sets of armour. One for general PvE play while out in the game world or running dungeons, the second being one specific to competitive play (i.e WvW) or for when you have no care for securing loot.
What I would say is that you are undoubtedly better off having magic find when farming than to not have it.
To provide a description:
MF is a multiplier to the base drop rates of the monster or boss that you are currently fighting. If that enemy has a 1% chance to drop an Orange item and a 10% chance to drop a Yellow, if you had 200% Magic Find you would have twice the standard drop chance.
This would roughly see the above example become a 3% chance to drop an Orange item and a 30% chance for a Yellow. Where drop rates are obviously higher, these % will be significantly more favourable.
Unfortunately, where items have low drop rates (as little as 0.5% for example) Magic Find will make very little difference in the grand scheme of things.
I hope that clarifies.
Good luck!
Folks can set their status to “Do not disturb” or “Invisible” and I believe that blocks whispers but not mail.
It does
It requires a different mindset, certainly, and perhaps a different approach to the way in which you interact with the game (and thereby the keyboard and mouse).
I would recommend that alongside the use of W,S,A,D that you utilise the Right Mouse Button (RMB). By holding this down, it gives you free movement of the camera while still allowing you to move in all directions, thus removing the need for keyboard “turning”.
In addition, I would sincerely recommend you visit The Heart of the Mists and practice movement with the RMB held down. Once confident with this, specific to camera panning, begin targeting and fighting against the target dummies.
It is also well worth while rebinding your keys from 7-10 onwards to buttons around WSAD or if you have, on additional mouse buttons. This should also include the ability to dodge. This will reduce your need to remove your fingers away from WSAD/Space. I would also recommend that you learn to use your left hands index finger to use keys 1-7 (if it isn’t a stretch).
I really cannot stress enough how important utilising the RMB is and that in your case, practice will make perfect. You’ll quickly begin to discover that you don’t have to sacrifice any movement what-so-ever.
To provide you with an example of my own setup, using a Razer Naga:
Keys 1-6 – Remain unchanged.
Keys 7-10 – MB4, MB5, MB6, MB7.
Dodge – MB3
Jump – Space
Forward – W
Back – S
Strafe Left – A
Strafe Right – D
Good luck!
Level 80 warrior I want to convert human to change Norn warrior race. What should I do for it?
Unfortunately Denizyeli there is no current option to change race once you have selected one. I suspect the primary reason for this is because of your personal story being linked to race and changing it would wipe that.
Guild Wars 1 did allow for a complete make-over but I imagine that this facility will be many months away and will likely cost a significant amount of money/Gems.
There are two possible options for you:
1. Create a new Norn Warrior and level him/her up.
2. Continue playing your current Human Warrior in the hopes ArenaNet allow a racial change in the future.
The lesson here is to be completely sure of the race and profession you choose, before investing a significant amount of time into it
Good luck!

As far as I’m aware, there are a total of 57 Runes with 24 of those Craftable (this includes 1 for each profession) with 8 purchased from Dungeon vendors in Lions Arch vendors and the other 25 received as loot.
I would recommend, until a recipie becomes known (should there actually be one) that you utilise the trading post. Unfortunately I know of no one at this time that can craft one despite significant attempts having been made.

Inci, I don’t need help doing dungeons (I love them) but always need people who know what they are doing. Is it OK if I add you as a friend so we can run some?:)
Sigil cooldowns are independant of one another. You could have Sigil of Air and Sigil of Fire and both will proc independantly of one another but will also have individual cool downs, based on the fact both might not proc at the same time (these tend to only have a 30% chance).
For example, many Engineers using Sigil of Earth and Sigil of Ice to freeze and bleed opponents.
If you havn’t already seen, all sigils can be found here: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Sigil

The current preview on these weapons is broken. Similarly to other Sylvari weapons, they have a crystal blade.
The easiest thing for you to do Zalaz is travel to the mists and go to your PvP locker. Scroll down through the armour sets to the Tribal and preview it (even if you don’t have it). As the armour is in PvP I’m absolutely positive it is also still available in PvE though there is no known location for it yet, which suggests it could be a recipie from the mystic forge.
There is a similar thread about this issue here: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/players/Tribal-Light-Armor-Set
As far as I am aware you cannot purchase a recipie for these, you have to discover them. One known recipie is:
30 destroyer loadstones + Ancient Staff Shaft + Ancient Staff Head + any 1 of the exotic level 80 inscriptions.
Alternatively, if you like the flame appearance you could always run Citadel of Flames which has really excellent and similar skins to those of the original Guild Wars 1 Destroyer weapons.
When I try to whisper other people in the guild, by right clicking on their name, and then clicking Whisper, nothing happens. The button won’t even respond. However, I can send them a mail, but not whisper them.
This only happens sometimes, but it happens often enough that it gets kind of annoying. If I exit the client, and come back in, it’ll start working again, but after a while it’ll stop. Does anyone also have a similar problem or know a solution to this? Sorry if this the wrong section. I’ll try also posting this later in the bug report section if no one knows. Thanks for your help!
I would recommend that you file a bug report for this in the appropriate section and in game when it actually happens. You may then receive a GM who can experience the issue.
Alternatively, I have found that sometimes right clicking on a name and selecting whisper isn’t entirely accurate or recognised. To really test I would suggest you type the persons full account name (/whisper x.1234 – message) and if it still doesn’t work re-log again.
You could also exhaust a further option by adding that person to friends list and then trying to whisper them.
I encountered this bug several times throughout Beta but by doing all the above haven’t seen it since.
Finally, there is a known bug where you will sometimes see an individual online but that person isn’t able to receive communications for one reason or another, meaning you can’t whisper them. I had this with a friend yesterday and was unable to whisper him because it was he who was showing as offline, despite being next to me.
If you are after the Commando armour in PvP the recipie is:
• 1x Item Token
• 1x Wolf Token
• 1x Arcane Orb
• 1x Arcane Powder
If you are searching for it in PvE, there are no boots or gloves to the set that I’m aware of or that I’ve been able to find. In relation to the helm, and besides landing “lucky” I would simply suggest you search on the Trading Post for Commando’s Helm.
Good luck finding it.
Are you describing the guild curreny known as Influence? Doing anything for the guild, while representing, will provide influence for the guild to spend. This also includes activities in PvP.
I would recommend you visit this thread on the GW2 Wiki
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Guild_Influence
I suspect you might be pulling these enemies too far away from their tethered location. It’s a preventative method to stop individuals abusing Champion enemies.
You will likely find that if you fight the Champion where it stands, it won’t back away but this will likely result in a more difficult encounter (such is the purpose).
Good luck!
Many of the crafted helmets will provide you with 2 of the 3 stats you require.
Unfortunately there isn’t an Orr helmet which provides the 3 either which is very strange.
The Invaders Acolyte Cowl does however provide all 3 statistics you require. If PvP or WvW isn’t your thing, I’d also recommend the Ascalonian Helm which has a Power/Tou/Vitality option that is purchasable.
With the change to dungeon tokens, you would only require 2 runs of each path, at a very maximum, to afford it. You can then transmute it to your hearts content.
I hope that helps a little.
Hi Aiishe,
As far as I’m aware it requires the following:
The Lover
Gift of Fortune
Gift of Mastery
Gift of The Dreamer
Reading this guide will provide you all you need to know: http://guildwars2hub.com/guides/basics/attributes-guide
Alternatively, visit the GW2 Wiki under Attributes for a similar set of information:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Attribute
I suspect they are part of the Acolyte armor set, available also as a PvE variant. They are a level 45 crafted armour type. You can see the pants here: http://www.guildhead.com/recipe/534607/ravaging-acolyte-pants
Alternatively they could be the feathered set…
Unfortunately the forum search box appears relatively bugged at the moment and most times yields few or no results.
Far Shiverpeaks has a very heavy dutch presence. I’d recommend Gandara simply because it is English majority, does well in WvW (it has a big WvW guild in Semper Dius) and has a good community.
The Mesmer problem - Defensive Cooldowns + Heavy Damage. One needs to go.
in Mesmer
Posted by: Lewis Burnell.2493
How on earth are people considering mesmers have amazing mobility? We have some of the worst mobility out of every single profession. Our mobility is Blink, Decoy, Phase Retreat or Swiftness obtained from Temporal Curtain. All of these have such long cooldowns, short ranges or short durations.
Who can do all that better than Mesmer? No one has skills as good as Time Warp, Null Field or Illusion of Life. There are skill variants, but none as good.
You only get tokens now for completing an entire dungeon, to the very end of the path you chose.
When a single dungeon run can take as little as 25 minutes, do you REALLY deserve better rewards than are already given?
Ignore the posters above.
With the right positioning and use of weapons, Mesmers are incredible in dungeons. The below skills are so sought after (I’ve ran countless amounts!)
• Veil
• Mass Invisibility
• Null Field
• Time Warp
• Chaos Storm
• Illusion of Life
• Feedback
All these skills are invaluable in many of the dungeons, especially if you choose to speed run.
When in dungeon groups I use Staff and Greatsword for the AOE, quickly changing from the Berserker to Chaos Storm for big numbers. On bosses, it’s wise to sit back and use Mirror Images while wielding the staff to quickly get 3 Illusions up or alternate between summoning the Berserker/Warlock. I don’t know of a time when I don’t have 3 Phantasms up in dungeons.
Even if you just get one attack out of your Phantasm, that is absolutely fine.
As for being a slow class moving around dungeons, just take Blink or Focus offhand, alternatively, cast Chaos Storm at your feet. There’s also nothing wrong with relying on someone else casting swiftness.
Any groups that say they don’t love Time Warp and a mesmer in their party are talking garbage.
Confusion is supposed to be supplimentary damage, alongside your other damage abilities. It’s relatively easy to stack confusion with the right build and I’ve regularly ran with 10+ stacks on players (I really don’t like Scepter/Torch playstyle however). If you pair this with retaliation, it really can be amazing.
Amen
I’m in no rush to farm the dungeons, but am farming them because I enjoy them and it’s great XP (and money!)
That’s quite the blanket statement you’ve made there, and one that is very subjective.
I find the dungeons fun.
What would your idea of a fun dungeon be?
Perhaps… you’re not supposed to jump the gate?
the new patch for CoF is total BS! the mobs are impossible to kill. and dont the AoEs have any cooldowns? we tried to chain suicide and it didn’t work. we tried killing and when we jsut finished killing 1 mob, 3 more spawned. is it even doable after the latest patch? i wonder what the designers have been doing? anyone ever completed CoF after latest patch? isn’t dungeon meant for anyone? don’t tell me only a group of 5 guardians can survive the kiting?
So the patch has been live less than a day, and you are complaining already?
Right….
so what is there to compensate us that farmed them already? ive done about 20 runs of 3 a day most says, all of this to get a sword and a gift of ascalon. now somebody can come along do the same as me and get 3 TIMES the reward which is more than the original reward, i mean ive put in the same amount of time shouldnt i get the same reward?
Why do you need compensating? What sort of attitude is that? We’ve all done the runs before this change and personally I have no care as it was my choice.
New patch notes are live, a total of 180 tokens is available each day if you run all 3 paths.
My only concern is the sheer repetativeness of dungeon running.
I want:
x2 Swords
x1 Greatsword
x1 Staff
All from Twilight Arbor. The total token cost is: 1380.
A single run, yields 30 tokens with diminished returns if you complete all 3 to 20.
If I obtained the maximum tokens each time, I would need to undertake 46 runs.
Is that a lot? Probably, especially when there are only 3 routes. But, if you look at it from the perspective of doing all 3 paths once per day, taking 46 days isn’t a huge amount…
Still, it is agonisingly repetative.
I’m happy to do all paths, with the right group all of them are plenty quick enough
And lord knows, I need 700 more tokens
To be more specific, any people in EU interested in TA explorable runs, feel free to contact me.
Good job I’m in the EU then
Shame you aren’t on Piken Square. I have a guild especially for TA farming. We go everyday at least all 3 paths. Sometimes some repeats if we aren’t sick of the sight of the place. :P
We can still play with you Mystique, you just need to invite us and when in the same zone (regardless of server) we’ll get the popup. I’ll add you friends too
:O I had no idea we could do that! I’ll add you both right away. ^^ If you guys want a guild invite, let me know. We end up getting a nice chunk of influence from the TA runs. xD
I’m already in a long term guild Mystique but will happily represent yours when I play TA with you

When the servers first opened, I quickly secured all my character names before returning back to the character select, deleting them and then taking the time to make them properly. However, I drew down the in game mail that provided Rytlock (amongst other items) and mistakenly deleted said character.
As a result, I do not have him. Is there any way of having the items sent in the in game mail returned to me please?:(
It appears so, just be in the same zone
I want 2 Nightmare Swords and 1 Nightmare Greatsword. That’s over 900 tokens. Finding a PUG group capable of doing TA explorable has proved impossible while its a bit of a selfish request to keep asking my guild. Ill have to run it over 25 times…
Ugh…
Yes I’ve done Story Mode as well…
When I completed AC explorable, I received a notification/achievement stating I had done so. When I completed TA explorable and all its paths I didn’t receive any such achievement?
Is there any way to know what paths are left or if you do in fact earn an achievement each time? The TA Explorable paths I’ve completed are:
Let’s Go Up
Go Forward/Let’s Go Up
Go Forward/Go Forward
[Edit] Story Mode
I don’t believe there are any others?
(edited by Lewis Burnell.2493)
Sounds great Lewis! Hopefully you’re up for other dungeons after we complete this one
Unfortunately there isn’t a nice LFG system built within the game for those that like their current guild but find that members aren’t interested in this particular pursuit but that’s a minor detail to me in such a great game.
Hope to hear from more people!
Oh definitely
Finding competent people isn’t easy! Two pug groups I was part of yesterday wiped every time on the opening Hounds… In contrast my guild pushed through “Let’s Go Up” in 25 minutes
I’ll be online tonight from 7pm BST
I’ll add you as a friend Kevin
Lord knows PUG groups are a nightmare, it would be nice to have someone else who wants to farm it.
Theres some weird information in this thread. going 25 into inspiration isnt absolutely needed. I hope everyone realizes the traits are currently bugged. If you go that deep into inspiration not only do you not get the retaliation for your phantasms but you lose fury on your phantasms as a result of the regeneration. Also some people stats seem farfetched. to get 26k hp youd need a soldiers amulet or knights. Soldier doesnt have precision, so probably knights (would prob make the most sense). So using soldiers and specing far into inspiration for the extra phantasmal damge would actually kitten you very badly as your phantasms wouldnt even crit and only do subpar damage.
Knights Amulet provides +798 Vitality. Including 25 points into Inspiriation easily provides 26k HP. I use Knights Amulet alongside 20 points in Domination and a specific set of Jewels/Runes to achieve 2000 Power and 55% crit chance. It works rather well, though can still be incredibly squishy especially against a good Warrior or Ranger…
I use Decoy which is why I tend never to take Mass Invisbility and my Mesmer sits with around 26,000HP and 55% crit chance. I tend to swap and change between Staff or Greatsword but prefer the offensiveness of Greatsword even if it does leave you a little more vulnerable.
I’d agree with Malakree, though I’d recommend 20/20/0/25/5 if you decide to use the Greatsword + Sword/Sword.
I’d also recommend you take Knights Amulet over Berserkers simply because it gives you a huge HP boost that the glass cannon build really needs (and you’ll lose very little damage). Lastly using S/S can be very rewarding as the Block deals a huge amount back at attackers (about 3/4k) while still being a great stun while it also has 2 leaps that pair really well with combo fields.
Oh and I’d always recommend timewarp simply because it’s awesome.
9k dmg from 2 illusinary sword attacks…
That’s relatively tame. My Illusionary Swordsman deals 5.5k minimum per attack, if I instantly switch to Great Sword my Berserker deals an additional 5.5k damage. Thats 11,000 damage instantly.
It gets even more interesting if I drop a Time Warp…
