Ok I’m going to simplify it as much as possible so you can understand what I am saying. Roiling Mist increases crit effectiveness by 100% , If the rev already has 20% crit chance , With fury (requirements of the roiling mist effectiveness) would make it 40% crit chance. Fury is a boon that gives 20% crit chance. When the rev has roiling mist and fury, you basically have 60% because of the trait (roiling mist 100% crit effectiveness) and Fury (20% crit chance.) If you do not understand this. I am done going back and forth.

No this is not how it works. The trait works only with fury boon, wich means if fury gives 20% more critical chance, with this trait fury will give 40% more critical chance. So is not true you have 60% critical chance when using this trait. You have 60% critical chance if you have 20% critical chance stat, and fury. Its not the 20% of fury plus 40% from the trait…
Death Perception necro trait work very similar, except that increase 50% critical chance instead of 20%.

You just said the same thing i said just worded it differently… Fury boon gives 20% crit chance. Roiling mists gives 100% crit effectiveness. so if you have 20% crit chance already and use roiling mists… you will have 60% ….

how about you go into hotm right now when you read this, take off your amulet and perhaps crit chance sigils and simply try it out

lets say you have 0 crit chance….then you apply fury….now you have 20% crit chance

the rest always depends on the current situation (respawn, cds, the terrain you fight at, teamfight or 1-1 and many more factors) and there are like a billion different situations you could be in, so its pretty hard to explain a rotation or a combo cause you have to react to your opponents

as said, its not hard to record your gameplay and post it and we can analyze it then :]

well if you take an absolute useless build youre not allowed to complain why you lose imo

but referring to the divisions, youre a high tier diamond player and the legy players are probably all low tier guys, so its working as intended

well still a bit unfair since they have 2 parties and you have none, but nevertheless legy rank has absolutely NOTHING to say about the skills of the player

just go on twitch and look for some players playing pvp, there are a kitten ton of streamers who achieved legy and still click their skills

i am saying some players do the finish move real quick, like in an instant. teammate downed, i went over with my druid “Ancestral Grace” and kitten , they are dead. didn’t even see the opponents do any finish move. Sometime I use “search and rescue” but the minute the teammate gets downed the opponent manages to finished them off in an instant.

i dont really know what this has to do with OPs post at all, but the answer is the druid, if you let a druid bleed he will get up with his pet (and as in your example rez the 2 others aswell) and if you interrupt the pet and cleave him, youre just wasting your time making the game a 4v4 instead of finishing him and making it a 5v4.

Imo its better we take the stealth from classes that dont deserve stealth (ranger longbow #3 and smokescale skill blast, engis gyro etc) and give only thief and mes the ability to stealth

Also a huge step forward would be to delete all the passive traits like Last stand, self-regulating defenses, mirror of anguish, versed in stone, soothing bastion etc etc

yeah good point, honestly i’d also rather have a nerf on the shatter skills cause most mesmers just spam them brainlessly and still get rewarded for it..

– increase CD of precision strike
- reduce duration of unrelenting assault’s evasion from 2s to 1s
- for the love of god increase the CD of phase traversal, an UNBLOCKABLE 1,2k range dmg dealing teleport every 5 (!) seconds is way too op
- increase CD of assassins annihilation, 300health regen every second is too strong imo

Ele:

- reduce healing in general, ridiculous that you can get healed from 100hp to full life in less than 5seconds

Warrior:

- needs a complete makeover, anet knows that anyway

Guard:

- imo fine as it is, highly depends on players skill level (what the main factor in pvp should be)

Engi:

- reduce the boon spam and the sustain on hammer attacks
- delete the “perfectly weighted” trait, 3second stab on a 5sec CD… no words for whoever invented that trait
- maybe (?) give healing turret another animation or a bit longer cast time so that its actually interruptible

Ranger:

- reduce range of search and rescue and let the pet only teleport the player, but not rez him (optional, but better for balance imo)

Necro:

- Chill needs to be a bit toned down since it highly affects your movement speed, your skills recharge slower AND it deals massive dmg

Thief:

- same as guard, still not top tier but not complete trash like warrior

Mesmer:

- nerf shield #4, why the heck would you give this skill a double block
- increase CD of continuum split to 120secs

Have you tried evasion runes on dh? Swiftness & fury on dodge

well you get enough fury from the trait monk’s focus anyway + basically from teammates also

Trapper rune is bad for DH, not just because of the stealth but also because it’s counter productive to what the kitten DH is supposed to be doing, holding a point. Everty time he is stealthed the DH is losing the point letting it get capped or decapped.

What i recently discovered and imo a lot of people dont know is this:

click on your pvp build, then on the left side the mist – champion button and then you see a huge picture of your mist champ on the right

and under this picture are 3 smaller pictures, turai ossa is already unlocked, but if you choose the other 3 mist champions you can right click on the first small picture and open a new reward track, that gives you a miniature and after finishing the reward track you can unlock a second one with other mist champ reward stuff

ranger can go power, condi, druid, shout

guard can go zerk, burn, bunker

war can go zerk, condi, shout, hambow

every class has at least 3 or more builds they can run

but are they all viable? no. same as d/d or s/d thief

why? cause with paladin you trade damage for sustain, but is the extra sustain really needed?

cause you barely 1-1 anybody where toughness would help, you rather +1 someone (where dmg > sustain) or you try to spike someone down in a teamfight (again dmg > sustain)

extra toughness would only help if you are pressured and need to disengage, but since we still have the best mobility of all classes i think that there is always a way to proper disengage before dieing and then resetting yourself

First of all you are on of the most known guys for afking / quitting a match when its not going how you would like it to be. So QQing about other people afking is like digging your own grave. Once you were in my team and someone just said, “Oh no its vingador” and then you alt f4’d before game started. GG.

Secondly, you literally go to kill svanir/chieftain each time they respawn, doenst matter if your team is 4v5 on the other side of the map. After the logical wipe, you complain that others are bad and you got at least 25points…

And last, you have like what….20k games now? And when i watched you streaming i had tears in my face, when i saw that you click all your skills with your mouse, yes even dodge rolls and weapon swap….i wouldnt take any advice from you either

Since i play hotjoin a lot for dailies etc, im missing a huge amount of games in my stats now (doenst bother me really, im just curious how many games i would have in total now)

well shelter says it also has a 2sec block duration and yet it can be interrupted by unblockable CC skills, such as fear me….game is controversial sometimes

just tested it in hotm, stole from warrior npc and attacked the thief npc and i reflected all his pistol shots

only explanation i have is that the warrior used signet of might and gained unblockable attacks

oh and btw it was never written in the description that it can reflect projectiles

ranger: blind helps a lot, try to LoS when hes on bow and go hardmode dps when hes on gs, just try to dodge the obvious gs animations

mesmer: since balance patch they are not free food for you anymore, you basically need to outsustain their cds. when they stealth, most likely they will just open with mirror blade followed by shatter, so you wanna stealth also when they do. then you wait till their stealth runs out, you wait for them to random dodge (since thats what everybody does when thief is stealthed, cause they are afraid of bursts) and THEN you backstab.

necro: necro isnt a too hard matchup, its just gonna take some time. they are weak out of deathshroud, thats where you wanna attack them. when they go in ds, there is most likely the instant fear from #3 coming, so just random dodge that. when they are in ds, just go stealth or LoS a bit and they will leave ds soon, thinking they could heal – thats where you jump them and iterrupt the heal, then kill them ezpz.

engi: almost impossible matchup, since they got high dps/cleave combined and some engis run the trait where you get revealed when they hit you in stealth; interrupting the heal is also pretty kitten hard – recommendation is to NOT take the 1-1 at all

war: depends which build….if shoutbow, the 1-1 IS theoretically possible, but you need to dodge pindown, arcing arrow and avoid the firefield. also they run shield over warhorn now which gives them another 3sec block and a short stun….hard to kill, but doable….still better to avoid that 1-1, could take quite long time

zerk war is also doable, sad that one attack from gs hits thiefs vor ~3k, so you REALLY need to dodge that gs #3 whirlwind, otherwise it can hit for 10k. you can take the 1-1, but if you get hit just a few times, youre dead

brought it to a local tech store and he cleaned the inside from the dust and now its working fine so far

i actually downloaded prime95 but didnt figure out how to handle it :<

so i searched for an alternative program and found furmark, which also tries to bring the graphic card to a maximum level

so i started furmark and instantly the whole temperature of the processor, graphic card and mainboard turned up to 95°

then i read on a forum that i should do a 15min test and see if the laptop shuts down

but after the 15min on this high temperature nothing has happened yet so i let him go on and it took 45mins until he shut himself down

now im actually unsure, cause i thought this test can tell me if the source is my graphic card or not, but since the laptop

a) passed the 15min test, but
b)still shut himself down after 45min

…im actually pretty confused right now

edit: so i also downloaded a program for temperature checking and heres the result of what ive seen:

just browsing through the internet:

mainboard, graphic card and processor are all around 50°

starting gw2: mainboard, graphic card and processor heat up to around 80°

playing a pvp match: mainboard, graphic card and processor heat up to 95°

mainly the laptop crashed when i was right in a pvp match, but today he also crashed for the first time while i was sitting in hotm (meaning that my overall temperature wasnt as high as in a pvp match)

i have absolutely no idea what it could be -.-

dust? fan? graphic card? heat paste?

i got a problem lately: somehow my laptop shuts down while im playing gw!

there is no bluescreen or anything like that, it just goes out from one second to the other

the issue is, i had this like one year ago also and i thought it was cause of the temperature….since this time i layed 2 books under the laptop + cleaned the inside from dust and the problem was solved

but now, the problem got bigger:

lately i had very long loading screens and even 3mins blackscreens after logging into gw, what never happened before….so i thought this was a graphic card issue

then i installed all possible updates for my graphic card (+ i even downloaded something called NVIDIA GeForce Experiment, i dont even know what that does) and the long loading screens were gone, but then suddenly the problem with the shut-down appeared

i noticed that my laptop only shuts down when playing gw (its the only game i play atm), but not if i simply browse though the internet

after the laptop shut-down i immediately check the temperature on the bottom of the laptop with my hand, and sometimes its really hot (so i understand why he shut down himself) but sometimes it doenst have a high temperature….so im wondering why he shut down

basically, long story short, lately my laptop shuts himself down when playing gw2, i dont know what it could be….graphic card overheated? need to clean dust inside again?

your statement, that its a bad elite, is wrong in so many ways, its waaaay better than e.g. flesh golem, tornado, signet of courage, thieves guild, daggerstorm or whatever

and the battle standard itself can give a HUGE advantage in teamfights, e.g. an ally + an opponent drop at the same time and you manage to rez him with banner, you can pressure the downstate guy instead of manually rezzing your ally!

and yes, im only playing on eu, but im pretty sure that shoutbow fell out of meta on NA also, due to other bunker classes getting buffed (bunker guard, ele), shoutbow itself got nerfed and CC + spike dmg got increased aswell (biggest problem for shoutbows)

Well, no offense mate, but i think that an average pvper also plays with average people, which means they sometimes think that this skill or that trait may sound good, while its actually worse

Signet on shoutwar is just bad! You dont need the swiftness since you have your warhorn + sword leap, you dont need fury since you do more dmg with condis and you got intelligence for critting arcing arrow/final thrust anyway, and you dont need might since you dont run anything for might duration (no battle sigil and neither hoelbrak, pirate or strength rune)

and btw your statement, that battle standard should works as description says would also include that poison wouldnt do what it says (namely reduce healing for 33%), which gives us a conflict here

you want a skill to work as it says, so that another mechanic wont work how it says

its doesnt work all the time, has the longest cool down. Tornado at least lloks cool and does dmg.

War banner doesnt work when a team mate health is too low and psn and so on and so on. If the skill doesnt work and your playing warrior your dead.

why exactly are you dead when you fail the banner?

and a good war never banners when the ally is already 10seconds in downstate, you should rather pop banner like 1sec before your mate drops so he can get insta rezzed (if he somehow survives like a baws just stow it)

your joking right? This is a elite skill and warrior doesnt get the boons a ele or guardian gets. It doesnt get the stealth a thief gets. It doesnt have the distortion/blinds/reflect/ instant stuns a mesmer gets.

ANd he uses a elite skill which could of been rampage a really good 20 sec which is easily condi downed so you have to run a stance with it, or the signet which grants 5 stacks might, fury, and swiftness and can be traited for a lesser cool down.

Your a warrior with no elite skill which means your useless. Showbow warriors need the signet for condi removal and dmg. Zerker warriors need stances and rampage, and since the banner doesnt work no one uses it since they will have a terrible build with a useless elite skill.

Eles dont need a elite skill to win fights, engys dont need elite skills to win fights. Warriors can only sustain or do massive dmg, there is no middle ground for us and if we try to play team support with a broken banner we are the worse and bunking. Thats why were dead

Your a warrior with no elite skill which means your useless. Showbow warriors need the signet for condi removal and dmg. Zerker warriors need stances and rampage, and since the banner doesnt work no one uses it since they will have a terrible build with a useless elite skill.

1) when hambow was meta, the signet was mostly used as the elite and you could easily win 1-1s without using your signet…it was just a nice bonus to have

warrior had/still has great roles in the meta, even without their elite skills

2) showbow, or how the real pvpers called it, shoutbow, NEVER EVER used the signet lmao

how was a shoutbow supposed to remove condis with signets? and why would you need the signet for dmg on a class that was meant to outsustain enemies in 1-1s and play the support role in a teamfight?
