It’s hard to be pvp guild between night capers.

All sorts of capers going on at night my friend.. But its still very easy to be a PVP guild and win when u are online, If you dont like the fact that you cannot actually win the match up due to lack of coverage then just accept the tier you end up in or go play SPVP.

I can only think that it is PVE players that would make these accusations against guys that play in WvW.. they cannot get off their hamster wheels and realise that those of us who do it all the time do it for kittens and grins because we just enjoy it.

Hi mate I think you are confusing SPVP with WvW the fact of the matter is that so far in WvW match up both Gandara and AR have been better than you as we have both won in the match ups. You have the ability to maintain the integrity of your guild blobs in mobility between maps but the price you pay for that is you cannot compete in WvW terms over the course of a match against servers with the population that Gandara and AR have.

If you had the the population that we both have you would have to radically adapt your playstyle anyway.

I am not having a pop at you at all mate just saying enjoy the fact that when your guild is online and playing you can enjoy yourself without queues and annoying randoms but deal with the fact that you cannot be competitive against our 2 servers in WvW terms over the course of a match in the long term.

Its true that with a superhuman effort you guys are strong enough to maybe beat us or AR one week but as this is a 24/7 365 day a year game you cannot sustain that.

Anyway, enjoy the match up and hopefully we have a few more.

Pikey organised Guilds did good work during prime time again tonight, our night service lads gonna be busy getting the score balanced in our favour again. this match up is being very useful for gandara as it is making us gradually get more organised. We are still a far cry from the organisation in the dedicated WvW guilds in Pikey land as that’s not the way gandara rolls but our PUG’s are definitely improving.

Gandaran borders last night was fun. We got a bit carried away around 11pm, and you took Bay from right under us.

Props to whoever decided to attack NW outer door at some point during the evening instead of trying to come through the hole in the wall, as that would have turned out very messy for you. A good job we spotted the attack relatively early =)

That was actually meant to be a feint whilst we sneaked some utility players through the gap (you may have noticed we did not place any siege?) but it took you so long to realise it we nearly had the gate down with just DPS^^ Yay but you snagged our little mes troop anyway Booo

From a guild on Gandara, at first we thought he was a spy as he was sitting in bay, we thought he was just giving information about numbers/siege placement until he started sitting outside the wall you guys (Gandara) were trebbing and absorbing the treb shots with focus #4.
We were genuinely confused.

I cannot explain what he is doing or why he is even there. I do know him and obviously his guild tag, so if he was a real spy then he is a pretty kitten poor one if he does not even think to stop representing his guild^^. SN is a highly regarded Gandara guild and would not support what Impy is doing there so I guess either he will be guild kicked or SN will no longer be taken seriously in Gandara.

I will try to be nice but I have always been taught to never trust a pikey o7

I wouldn’t worry about it too much, anyone with any sense knows that there will be a few cheaters and idiots on every server, Piken Square will have some, Gandara and Augury Rock and the same with every other server in GW2.

It might be irritating but over all they make very little difference just an annoyance now and then when you have to retake something but hey ho its fun to take stuff anyways o/

PS has now met about 20 of the 26 other server and to date they have all been fine with a general positive and friendly and sporting feel about them infact its been pretty impressive how chilled and friendly most match threads are imo.

Very true KC but its bloody annoying when you have been up half the night upgrading a Fort/Keep to full T3 and then some nerd dweeb with a hack program wanders along and glitches it thereby spoiling the epic battle that it would be to take a T3 fortification.

Not bad skirmishing in GBL this morning until some irritating French exploiters glitched into Longview and took it (Full T3 Fort) I went and made a cup of tea .. when I returned after 3 minutes Fort was Blue (had not been aggroed before I went afk) and there was no rams at door or catas outside/behind. I am gonna assume its these same ‘people’ from CHOC as hopefully there are not any other scumbag cheating losers on AR. The shame is that if as seems quite likely AR win this week people will just say ‘thats because they have those cheating pricks exploiting’. Which makes all the work done by their majority of decent people meaningless.

Oh is it by the waterwall in Bay that they manage to glitch in? I kept finding those few CHOC’s in Bay saturday morning with nothing breached and none of them a mesmer…… Wondered where they were glitching through.

The annoying thing is that they were not even being subtle about it and were just rather cynically killing all our internal siege so it would be easier to cap.

Gandara is just a reasonably heavy pop very casual server, there is not a hell of a lot of structure to our WvW but those of us that do it as our main activity are getting better. When we are on a winning streak then our numbers tend to explode as our more PVE focussed players come and join in as well. We do not have the 24/7 coverage required to be in the top tiers and I am quite happy to stay at this tier as its about the right level for us to have a good time without it becoming a second job.

I would like to face the Pikeys again on a regular week rather than christmas as I think we can learn some good stuff from them that will improve our game.

Now whilst it is entirely possible that these 2 idiots could just be Gandarans usiing daddies credit card, the way I have seen them perform so far makes it much more likely that they are from one of our opposing servers (Looking at you Pikeys), anyway, just ignore these 2 guys because they are either criminally stupid or spies sent to lead our random numptys astray.

So we have 2 players that transferred to your server for the week, bought commander tags ( as we have never had commanders called that on our server) just to mislead your pug forces? That’s nothing but amusing if true. But frankly it sounds like you’re just clutching at straws in terms of excuses.

I quite agree that if it is the case then it is ridiculous but you would be suprised at the lengths that some people will go to to either win or to troll others. Also, these would not be transfers they would be roaming second accounts created expressly for this purpose.

But anyway my main point is that be these the actual worst blue doritos (and trust me we have plenty of bad ones) on our server or trolls from another server please just ignore them.

Its a shame that this match up is over the xmas holidays as I have been looking forward to fighting my old mate KC and his sunshine band (Boon control). Enjoy the matchup everyone that does play and lets hope its a nice clean one.

Yes we can see that MS are very low in numbers compared to gandara and obviously compared to RS. Maybe MS should change your priorities, Gandara is not your natural enemy we are more populated than you and it is doubtful any of our players would be attracted to a German language server. If you attacked RS as your priority it would make it a more enjoyable match up as between us we would make them work much harder to achieve anything. there would also be a chance that a few of RS more disgruntled players might decide to switch over to MS.

I am not accusing RS and Millers of having an arrangement Lavra, RS have enough it seems to attack both other servers at the same time.. But its pretty obvious that Millers are not attacking RS BL at all except occasionally with the event. Sadly, with our diminished numbers we are not capable of defending our BL against a sustained 2 prong attack which is very sad.

edit. Also, our players that are coming to WvW this week seem to be suffering from a lack of joined up thinking which is making the numbers we do have rather less effective than they should be.

Appologies to RS but Gandara always suffers a heavy fall off of WvW players when there is an event and it is not possible for us to fight RS let alone RS and Millers at the same time… Suggest you Germans just play with yourselves.

I’ll add a little about the vindictive nature of PRO though, they are definately not just doing it for Karma and silver. When they capped Hills earlier today they burnt through 1700 supplies very very fast. So they are definately doing it for tactical advantage.

You’re forgetting that they don’t get 1700 supplies. When they take over, all the upgrades reset, so you can have 500 supply max. If you recon that the fortification will be gone again soon and don’t want your enemies to have the supply, you can on top of that burn the supply by ordering some cheap upgrade.

You are correct in saying that, but the point being made is that if these guys were hacking just for easy Karma and silver they would not then ‘waste’ that silver buying even a cheap upgrade to burn out the supply.

I am confused.. why are people even mentioning or complaining about spying? Its allowed within the game structure its neither hacking or exploiting even, just game play.

Its not so much flaming about your server mate, the problem is that whilst these blatant hackers are on your server it makes WvW completely meaningless for the all 3 servers in the matchup. The 2 servers playing you have to just sit in our Lords rooms playing ‘I spy’ waiting for the hackers rather than defending the walls. Most of the decent players on your server that are aware of what is happening are going to feel cheapened and dirty by what is happening and not inclined to come to WvW.

7.40pm GMT Hills Keep in Gandara Borderland Hacked by the AM Guild PRO. I was in the Keep at the time Building a trebuchet.. The keep was never aggroed it went straight from Green to Red without being attacked as I lay dead from being attacked by guards .. members of PRO AM guild ran over my body I managed to report 2 of them.

Hills was Full T3 upgraded Keep with all guild buffs running not been penetrated to inner in over 2 days

I imagine the reason why you guys do not know this ‘PRO’ Guild (an oxymoron if there ever was one!) is because they move around servers and change guild name even within servers they are on to stay under the radar.. As they are clearly hackers they do not exactly need Guild bonuses do they?

The issue that Eno was referring to a few posts up was actually just us not being able to see the 3 rams u guys had tucked up close to the outer gate at Hills the first time you attacked and as our Cata had despawned at the gate, by the time the gate went down the rams had been destroyed but it looked like you had magically done it without siege.

As Startfall stated above, its not the points issue caused by the hackers so much as the upgrade cash that is wasted and of course the torturous process of upgrading the fort/keep again knowing that it could be hacked.

It is a shame but other than everybody try their hardest to report these guys whenever we see them not a lot we can do about it. Would be good if some of the german lads could actually get the Account identity of any PRO players they see and post them on the forum or send those details by PM to some AR and GAND players so we can do a mass e-mail report

Please try not to make too much noise whilst killing each other this week as Gandara will be mainly sleeping as we are tired and shagged out after last weeks exertions.

The simple fix for this would be to ban all blusher or any other form of makeup from WvW.

Actually i am on a mid tier server so only get queue in primetime and even then its not that long. There is not any real personal agenda on my part with this suggestion.

It just seems to me that ANET is potentially missing out on income from PVEcentric players either leaving the game or being scared off from buying it. My solution would maybe help with player retention and maybe broaden the player base also(these guys also spend more at the Gem shop than PVP players I think).

The vast majority of players like a little bit of everything and so are happy with the regular servers but I am sure there is at least a full server or 2 worth of players that would stay/join the game if they had the option of never being in a PVP environment without missing out on PVE achievement/content, we may be suprised how many there actually are.

The more money ANET gets through the door the better it is for all of us as they invest more into the game.

One of the monthly achievements is WvW kills, it’s set to a very low that you should be able to get in a day with very little effort. ANet are clearly doing whatever they can to encourage people to join into WvW and maybe discover they want to keep playing while there, I doubt they would be interested in anything which would give people an avenue of avoiding WvW.

Umm I covered the monthly achievement part in my post (PK means player kill)….

What you are not comprehending here is that there are a lot of people that actively dislike non consensual PVP and do not want to ‘learn’ how to like it. Any use these players add as a distraction to the enemy is outweighed by the increased queue time they cause for people that actually want to participate in RvR.

As someone that actively enjoys OW PVP I can (and do) avoid doing Dungeon runs except for the Story mode one for character story but at least that was just the once.

These PVE players are normally quite completionist therefore they are forced to come to the W3 maps. They do not want to be there, the RvR players do not want them there (except for the griefers of course) so why not give them an alternative and let those of us that want to fight it out do so without the complaints in map chat?

I notice quite a lot of people (guys that avoid PVP servers in other games) complaining that they are forced into non consensual PVP in GW2 if they want to get their map completion/jump puzzle etc achievements.

At the same time there are quite a lot of people complain about the abovementioned guys taking up valuable spots on W3 maps that could otherwise be taken up by RvR players.

How about ANet opens a PVE only server where player versus player is disabled in the W3 maps?

This way.. PVEcentric players could get their achievements done without being ‘griefed’ by PVP players and at the same time the W3 maps on the regular servers would only be occupied by guys that want to participate in and get better at RvR.

The monthly achievements would have to be changed to remove the PK requirement on the PVE server and maybe (at least I would like to see this) remove the dungeon completion requirement on the regular servers.

It would be interesting to see how fast the PVE server fills up and requires additional servers to be opened, this would then maybe require consolidation of the bottom tier regular servers into the tier above.

Just my opinion, no animals were hurt in the creation of this post, blah blah disclaimer etc.

P.S. Oh and just to head off the flamers who’s powers of typing exceed their powers of comprehension.. I am an avid enthusiastic W3 player.

Even though Blueprints are soulbound, it is possible to give them to any other player of your server.

Just move outside of the spawn area, double click on the blueprint so it appears on your action bar, press button 1 to lay the siege weapon down then any other player can pick it up.

If guys that dont like PVP but are doing puzzles for the badges, donated their Blueprints to the WvW guilds on their server in this way then they would be helping the cause and be thought of a bit better maybe.

EU servers need to have WvW reset in EU primetime… Free transfers either need to be stopped or given a WvW lockout for at least the duration of the current match resets (be that 1w, 2w or whatever) then let it continue for 4 resets to allow the tier system to actually work. After this period is the time to assess what if any changes are required in the WvW core mechanics.

Judging by the look of the points tally when I logged in this morning it would appear that Millers Sound DE server may have been flavour server for a few German WvW guilds to be on this week.
