I checked all the boarderlands and don’t see a battle historian npc anywhere.

I found one right out in the middle of the spawn area in EB. He doesn’t seem to know how our server did last season, which is kinda weird, but I guess you can’t expect what little we get to work properly from the get-go.

Odd he is not there on my server Dragonbrand. We are green maybe they forgot us. Ok nm now all of a sudden he is there.

If you want to be part of a good server with coverage that has free transfers I suggest CD. They have excellent SEA and NA just need more help!

Here is a thought for making sure DB doesn’t threaten T2 gvgs longterm though. Offset their SEA… The only server that might do that still is CD with SBI’s help. Unfortunately CD doesn’t have the numbers currently. So help get people onto CD. I hear they will get free transfers option to CD soon too. Bump their recruitment thread if you can.

CD can offset DB’s SEA advantage a little but they need more guilds overall. If you looking to form the best T3 with DB/SBI/IOJ CD is the right choice for you. You won’t have to deal with massive zergs of T1 (and sometimes T2) Roaming is probably better & you have a great PvE community. Go to CD!

Who we are.
The Emerald Fang is a family style guild that was created for Guild Wars 2, but also includes any other games that the members like to play. We understand that people have busy RL so whenever you do get the chance to play GW2 you know you will have quality players with [Fang]. We consider our attitude ‘business casual’. We don’t have required raid times & won’t rage on wipes but when you do have a chance to play with us we won’t waste your time. We play for fun & don’t tolerate drama. if you like what hear then Fang might be the guild for you!
The Emerald Fang is built around group play. We like to do WvW ALOT! We are looking to getting started in GvGs as well. We teach new players and help them gear up for WvW as long as the player shows motivation and do their part.

How we are organized.

We are american based guild with members from US/CAN but have OCX players as well. Members are on during most times of the day. Communication is important so we use the tools available to us (Forums, Shoutbox, Teamspeak) to effectively coordinate. We provide structure and events but we are casual. So members can attend any organized event when they want or they can use guild chat to get something started impromptu.

Who we want.

We want people who are friendly and like getting on and helping each other out. People who enjoy using forums and TS3 to communicate. We do ask that you be at least 18, but there can be exceptions. We expect our members to prefer group play over solo & want to run with the guild when possible.

What we require.

We require our members to REP us ATLEAST during 4 server to 10 pm PST
We require our members to be helpful/active in Guild and TS3.
We require our members to participate in WvW raids (5-9 pm PST server time) if you are on & can run. If you can’t you won’t be kicked because we understand RL has priority.

TLDR:

• WvW focused
• Structure & Events planned but with a casual environment
• Community TS3 Server
• Dungeons’ & Orr temple runs & guild missions done when able/interest
• WvW/GvG is our priority

This week is like a 1v1 with FA since SOR isn’t playing. FA plays for fights and not ppt and doesn’t have the coverage that SoS does… that’s why the fights won’t be there 24/7. Wait for Mag to bring balance and SoR to drop and match will be fun.

Plenty of decent NA guilds on SoS that run 15-20 night raids. EP/EK/CNB/Rx/DIE/EPIC all raid regularly and run tagless. EP/EK/EPIC are avid GvGers as well. I would talk to you about [Fang] but we aren’t as serious as EP/EK/EPIC about GvGs and can’t field 20ish nightly. GL in finding your home.

[Fang] is looking for a backup driver for WvW/GvGs. We are based on SoS and currently have 20-25 active during NA primetime (30-35 active daily) out of 75 in roster. We looking to expand to 20 man raid and regularly do 15s in GvGs. SoS will be going up against FA/Mag soon so we will have lots of guilds to fight and have fun with. SoS as a server is great and we use the community ts3 so even if [Fang] isn’t raiding you can lead the militia easily. If you interested we can chat more. Maybe you can sit in on our raid one of these days and see if your playstyle is similar.

Its 5 weeks (approx) before Tournament starts & Tiers are starting to shuffle… but for the better imo. TC will bring new blood to T1 and with influx of new guilds they will have the coverage to compete. so Grats TC. GL with BG/JQ.

More importantly @ SoR community/pvx guilds (especially NA guilds) stay tough and hold out to see where the server lands and then evaluate a move. Whenever there is a mass exodus everyone thinks the worst and starts to run for the door (SoS, SBI etc) but you can come out stronger if you play this right. I think SoR even after losing HIRE/GC and couple others will have enough PvX & militia to be stable in T3 against SBI/BP (since NNK (DB) going to Mag). Even if you keep most of NA guilds and militia you will be strong enough for T3 & good fights against BP/SBI since both these servers don’t have a huge coverage advantage. So don’t lose hope and have fun!

Some predictions :
T1 – BG JQ TC – excellent coverage wars
T2 – Mag SoS FA – excellent fights/gvg scene! Can’t wait for this matchup…
T3 – SBI BP SoR – Excellent NA fights with little off coverage!

Just to clarify….,

I am posting on request of our Leader. Since our Leader is a pretty well known commander and player among several servers, he did not want to post publicly and cause an uproar amongst communities. We’re not looking for drama, so we’re taking the route we see as most subtle to avoid conflict.

Please mail me or whisper me in game and I can direct you to our Leader. Then you two can discuss it all from there.

SoS’s “Hands-off” WvW approach

SoS has the organization without the burden/interference from fellow guilds in how you play. If you like to open field you have the freedom to do open field and ignore ppt. If you like to siege up towers/keeps and defend, then more power to you. When you ask for help people will respond if they are able to. If we lose a T3 keep, first thing everyone says is let’s go get it back. SoS is no stranger to uphill battles with our NA consistently going up outnumbered against TC/FA and previously T1 servers. The constant fights have improved the militia & cohesion of the guilds on SoS. No one guild can do everything and with the range of interests and styles a world will have, we believe it’s vital to have our guilds be as close as possible.

Where are we going with this, you might ask? We are hoping to stay in T2 and balance out with servers who moves up and down. T2 seems to be the sweet spot in WvW for good fights. But right now our coverage has some gaps which keeps us swinging into T3 on a bad roll. We would especially be interested in hearing from those with a wide range of interests within the game, who share our views of having a strong community focus. We are also in no particular rush. We would prefer that interested players and guilds take the time to get to know our community and be sure that we’re the right world for them to call home.

What we need

1 EU guild – guild that loves to float and be the last line of defense against marauding blobs during EU. (max 20 man raid)

1-2 NA ops – guilds that love to ninja stuff, flip camps and ruins to look for roamers.

PugManders – We are in need of commanders that love to lead the militia and know how to adapt. If you up to the challenge we have excellent militia that will follow your lead and will follow you off cliffs if need be

What we Offer

Communication
Our server/WvW meeting is open to everyone. We are an open server without egos, that encourages everyone on the server to have a voice. SoS guilds provide organization and structure for those interested in working together for WvW. The meeting is usually 30 mins or less as we don’t want GW2 to be a second job and happens on the community TS3. Weekly server meeting serves as update for server on recruitment efforts and map assignments for reset.

Community Ts3
Community TS3 is utilized by most of the server’s guilds with whisper lists/ccom to coordinate flanks/requests for help if needed. Community TS3 is used by militia groups outside of raid times to organize raids as well.

Business Casual WvW
Most of guilds on SoS have a relaxed ‘hands off’ approach to WvW. We don’t want to go back to T1 ever. We just play WvW for fun when we can and enjoy the fights. Op’s groups or havoc squads are encouraged to tag up and coordinate with the main group. You won’t be harassed for taking days off or GvGing, etc. Also, should you transfer, we would never expect you to put in “x” amount of hours/“x” amount of days a week. Just come to play, have fun & collect dem bags!

Queue times
Unless all 3 zergs are in the same area, there is hardly any skill lag. Queues can be seen on reset night but are only 5-10 mins max.. After Friday reset, we hardly have minor queues on more then 1 border except for the rare event if multiple guilds coordinate to be on same map.
