Something makes taking a tower difficult so you want it removed? I think not.

News flash: taking a defended T3 tower is suppose to be difficult.

In addition to equal #s on walls, 4-5 acs, trebs behind gates is kind of overkill… It is supposed to be hard to take but the treb cow supply removal delays fights way too often..

I understand the idea of this was to make it easier for few to defend against larger numbers but it is being used by the larger numbers to bunker down and hide behind t3 walls. People leave a scout at each tower with treb behind gate and spam the cow on gate to remove supply even though they have equal or greater numbers on the map that hide behind walls. This is leading to trebs trebbing t3 towers which get counter trebbed and hours of stupid siegewars even when opponents have equal/greater numbers… Please consider removing the supply drain from cows.

Suggestion:
Consider making the poison do more damage or insert a cd for supply lost. Like 1 supply ever 5 seconds. Right now most supply is lost within secs.

I had fun leading EB in morning against TC… Thanks Mag for resetting SM High Five. Is there a shortage of commanders on TC in morning? People seem to turtle in towers more on eternal. Had fun leading on TC border in the evening as well. Lots of action. Hope everyone is enjoying the match after 6 weeks of T1 crap.

I had fun leading SoS today in EB morning against tc militia and Sosbl in evening against STUN/NAGA etc. Nice to see TG again hope you guys enjoy it on Mag. If you guys want you can let us cap all of SoS and keep hills we can keep meeting north of hills at camp for fights for rest of week instead of running around

Who we are.
Emerald Fang is built around group play. We like to do WvW alot & do guild missions one night a week. We are also looking to get started in GvGs as well. We teach new players and help them gear up for WvW as long as the player shows motivation and do their part.

How we are organized.

We are an US based guild with members from US/CAN. This allows us to have members on during most times of the day. Communication is important so we use the tools available to us (Forums, Shoutbox, Teamspeak) to effectively coordinate. We provide structure and events but we are casual. So members can attend any organized event when they want or they can use guild chat to get something started impromptu.

Who we want.

We want people who are friendly and like getting on and helping each other out. People who enjoy using forums and TS3 to communicate. We do ask that you be at least 18, but there can be exceptions.

What we require.
We require our members to REP us all the time
We require our members to be helpful/active in Guild and TS3.
We require our members to participate in WvW events on the weekend (5-9 pm pst) and guild missions.
We require our members to be geared if they are 80 & want to WvW/GvG and if they need help we help them gear up.

@ TC why come to SoS borderland for the easy points. how the hell will your milita get better if all you do is play for #2? Y not try to push JQ borderland when we push there and reset that wp on bay? Take 50 ish and try to 4 ram each gate? Instead you try to havok undefended towers… SoS ventures to JQ alot more then TC even though TC has 2x our population in NA.

I hope you know you’d still lose to T1 servers even with a 25% less max capacity. T1 servers win because they cap while you’re sleeping, not because they field 25% more players than you during prime.

ANet won’t do anything, probably, about T1 servers. Otherwise they’d be admitting they ignored thousands of posts months before leagues predicting this would happen. And that they really have zero understanding of how their game works.

still it would force population to spread out since people in overflow wvw maps aren’t affecting overall ppt. we will still lose but 2-3 maps would b more even/fun.

If you decide to do Season 2, can you please confirm if you have any plans to either reduce map cap by 25% or make T1 US 3 servers perma play each other please. Map 25% player reduction will increase queue times for stacked servers making them move or perma match them so the lopsided matches stop.

Need to know if anet is open to either.

@SoR if you want SoS to push BG you need to dedicate a substantial force to BG border and turn something other then se tower green… suggest papering their north towers as signal for sos to push them? Right now doing ops on bg is not working since they have treb/scout on each gate & we don’t have the manpower you guys have.

Outmanned buff needs to come up even if the difference between any two servers on map is more then 10-15. I am not sure what the threshold is right now but too often we see 30-40 stacked in main group with 10ish randoms. Enemy is running solid 50-60 man zerg and has ops teams flipping towers. We don’t mind the outmanned fights but then having to pay for repairs is lame. Outmanned buff should come up as soon enemy outnumbers us by 10-15 players.

Please let me know if you want to talk about SoS tomorrow or you can talk to guilds like cnb/city/rx/ep who recently came to SoS from other servers. We have guild groups thats run tagless when they raiding and we have militia groups of 35-45ish going against T1 groups and having decent fights. We don’t force players to play for ppt. We have lots of room and hardly have queues during NA on more then 1 map if guilds coordinate to go to same map. We let people karma train/gvg/open field skirmish/ ppt whatever floats your boat. All we ask is guilds respect each other & their playstyles and have fun. Our server ts3 usually has 100-150 players during NA primetime.

So we’ll just ignore all the recruitment threads and the fact that your server pays for transfers then.

Statements about paying for transfers to servers are so ignorant. Any server I’ve ever been on does this (from T8 through T1). Not just for WvW, but also for the PvE community. So to act like T1 is the only place this exists, is ridiculous, to act like your server is innocent of this, is also ignorant.

We’re a great community, we will always welcome people to share in our community, but trust me, asking for 8 hour queues, skill lag out the posterior, isn’t on the menu.

umm SoS doesn’t pay for guilds to transfer. So not really the same. Also we specifically ask for just NA guilds and maybe 1-2 SEA. We turn oceanics to other T3 servers so it balances out. Meanwhile you guys continue to stack and stack…

I like the idea of adding a new map, but I am concerned as a mid tier wvw player that has seen players already leave to higher tier servers. I felt like the long queue times was the one incentive for players to leave T1 servers for lower population servers. Now this will be gone. It seems that there will no reason to not be on a T1 server now. Should I just plan on saving gems to transfer now?

This is a totally valid concern and from our point of view the only answer to it is that WvW and winning in WvW is what people want to do. If that is not the case, that is a problem with WvW, not with this new map. We want the existing maps to be the place everyone wants to be and if that is the case, then jumping to the high tier worlds will keep you from playing in those maps. We clearly have more work to do to make WvW as good as it can be, but this map is intended to solve a very specific problem, queueing, while also giving us the space to work on some other issues we think WvW has generally. It is also the case that we will take things from this map and push them back to WvW generally, it will just take time.

I think you are trying to solve a specific problem but you are exacerbating the stacking problem by giving queued players WvW. Many were hoping that with upcoming queues in League matchups T1 US will force players/guilds to move out to T2 (Gold league) to balance it out but now that won’t happen.
While you are attempting to fix skill lag please consider lowering player limit from each server on a map to increase queue times. This will provide more testes for new map and reduce chances of skill lag. The players in queue map won’t have impact on WvW and will maybe move to lower tiers.

Mags does great during NA though against FA/SBI/SoS and will fight all week. Lots of guilds to do gvgs with as well. Over time they will get other coverage once T1 gets 3-4 bad matchups in row. Shouldn’t arbitrarily keep them in Silver because they have no coverage. Atleast Mag will give T1 + TC NA/EU fights where SoS lacks. SBI hasn’t shown up this week outside of few guilds and WvW players that don’t do pve, It will hurt SBI to be in matchup if you force it on them instead of having them work for it. But what’s done is done. Up to Mag now if they want gold bad enough.

SoS has had the attitude let chips fall where they may and do the best since we started to rebuild. We have seen some blatant 2v1 this matchup but chalked it up to usual part of the game. But here is some proof of SoR helping SBI. Apparantly 25 + SoR in SBI Ts3 coordinating with guilds from SBI to doubleteam SoS. How kittened is that? If SoR wanted to push SoS they have enough people by themselves. lol. No honor amongst them both.

1) Population balance between tiers.
Ex: T1 US has 2-3x numbers of WvW players then #4 ranked server and 4-5x numbers of 5-8 ranked servers. Transfer costs to transfer to T1 is same as T2-6 because of PVE population is considered so WvW players will never move to Tiers 2-6 because of cost being 1 factor.
2) WvW map limit
Since you can’t fix skill lag yet please lower map limits for each server. T1 US population will spread to lower tiers if they have 1-2 hr queues all the time. I suggest 25-30% low limit for each server on a map to get started.
3) Commander ui/squad system.
we need to have a raid type ui for commander with atleast supply/class info.

I think SoR wants SBI to stay in Gold League. Before they were just karma training and flipping anything but now SBI seems to get to keep their stuff and SoS stuff gets targeted. by both. SoR hand holding SBI into gold league. lols. Maybe they think that Mag/FA’s guilds will transfer to T1 looking for competition if they get left in silver and further stack the top servers.

With 40 hrs or so left SoS seems to be definite #5 with Mag/SBI fighting for #6. Mag seems to want Gold league more so they will most likely get it unless SoR devolves into just karma train for last 2 days and lets SBI run 300-400 ppt.

I would like to ask to find out which server has a decent night crew and can use some help during server peak times. No high tiers/No EU. Minor ques are ok e.g 15 mins or so.

While this is a great idea, T1 servers have the capability to outbid T2 servers when it comes to acquiring guilds, and there’s nothing you can do to stop them.

Also, what oceanic/sea guilds are left to fill T2….. majority of them have been bought up and absorbed into T1 servers. Only way this will work is if the transfers come from T1 and good luck getting that to happen. We’ll have to wait for one of them to implode.

[Meow] needs to be congratulated. So far the only guild brave enough to leave T1 for a T2 server. Others should follow their lead. Don’t be a wuss.

Several tier 1 guilds moved to dragonbrand when it was still tier 2. They eventually got bored and left. People are in tier 1 for a reason.

People that have aspirations or plans to be Top Tier 1 servers shouldn’t move out of Tier 1. It takes massive stacking to be in T1 these days so please don’t chose any of these 4 servers with those intentions. Guilds looking for fights and fighting for underdog servers should chose these servers.

Completely agree – the difference between SoS & TC being 4th and 5th is stupid.

And that’s not just SoS being 5th. Any 5th server FA/Mag & maybe even SBI will have same crappy experience.

We could all go to T1 and do coverage war but the queue & skill lag will be unbearable. Plus it will be bad for the game to make T1 stronger since RNG/leagues will vary the matchups & competition will be bad. We really need to balance the population to T2 to bring it closer to TC’s strength but not as big.

Goal would be bring 2 more candidates to subTC’s level or a little higher then FA’s level. FA is what I consider true T2 server but TC has grown to T1.5. TC also needs a reality check here. There are only 3 T1 servers. If TC becomes T1 server then T2 is permanently screwed similar to how you are always dominating everyone outside of T1 but in T1 you can’t do much. This can’t be fun for you or FA/Mag and any one else that moves up to T2.

Here’s what we need.

TC- Needs to stop recruiting and trying to become T1 server. There can be only 3. Once we get a true T2 3 servers then we can try to bring T2 servers closer to kitten make Gold league have variety.

FA/SoS/Mag/SBI – Out of these 4 servers 2 servers need to get closer to TC’s population. Here is what each of these servers needs. If you are considering transferring out of T1 or transferring to higher tier for different type of matchup pick one of these 4 servers to help bring some balance to T2.

FA – Needs NA/Oceanic/SEA. They need a little help in all 3 timezones it seems looking their matchup history with TC,Mag,SBI.

SoS – Needs NA. SoS currently has the weakest NA out of the 4 candidates but have great oceanic coverage & couple sea/eu guilds.

Mag – Mag needs Oceanics/SEA. Mag has the strongest NA out of all 4 candidates & have really great EU/early NA coverage as well.

SBI – Needs time to organize & rebuild mostly which numbers can’t help. New to the mix only tested for 1 week against FA/Mag have great SEA/Oceanic and has high NA numbers but lacks experience in higher tiers.

So please if you looking to transfer to a new server, please consider one of these 4 servers and help balance T2.

No matter where SoS ends up on the league crap we will have fun. The server recently got 2 great guilds CNB/Rx. Already we can see a difference in our NA organization against a T1.5 server. All we really need are couple more NA guilds to hold our own in NA timezone and bring balance to T2 with TC/FA/SBI…

The fight for Gold League is getting really interesting. It seems like FA might fall down to silver league with two servers of Mag/SoS/SBI going up into gold league. It really comes down to the matchup this week. If any of the above servers face up against FA, they will take FA’s rating and be guaranteed a spot in Gold.

It all depends on which server gets matched with FA/SoS/SBI/Mag from outside of T1/T2/T3. If any server gets matched with BP/EB/DB/CD and loses rating its over for them.

We know server pop is a issue we are thinking about some ideas. When we have something concrete we will let people know.

Are you open to taking out Orbs?
Our metrics indicate that orbs are a great mechanic and people love fighting for orbs and it adds a fun aspect to wvw. Orbs are staying.

WvW rewards?
Leagues will increase rewards in wvw with new achievements. Rewards will be tied to whichever server you start the season with.

Season 1 please stop leagues.
We are open to suggestions and feedback during season 1 and will adjust season 2 if needed. We need season 1 to give us data.

This class is op that class is op.
We are balancing classes in the upcoming match and wvw is a priority for us.

Orbs have ruined GvG and open field fighting, do you agree?

We were saying the same on Mumble. The buffs weren’t needed. The ruins are fun, but the buffs tend to favor the wrong team.

Yep. Please try to relay as much as possible to your pugs not to grab all 3 orbs. Really takes the fun out of trying to play.
