FA can you push north on TCBL please so we have a chance to reset one keep on TC instead you take the easy tower and defend with 3 acs. Push hills or north towers/camps. We will push as well os we make TC defend.

SoS is in essential need of havoc squads. We have mostly PvX guilds that do small ops or meta-zerg. Please consider SoS as we always outnumbered and everyone appreciates small ops groups on SoS.

We had fun on SoS borderlands regardless of score. PINK and CERN you have good teamwork. FA you need to push TC’s territory since they are clearly #1 in this matchup. Instead you take dawns and all north camps. You will still end up being #2 regardless, don’t have to play for it.

SoS needs some NA support if that’s your playtime. We don’t have ability to queue more then EB after Fridays. We are underdogs in NA even when we play T3 servers. We get variety of matchups from T2 to T3-4 so you will get to face different servers for GvG needs. We don’t have any WvW guilds though so if you looking for weekly ppt wins SoS isn’t right for you. We are mostly a PvX/militia server that plays together and has fun.

About SoS:
SoS doesn’t offer gold to transfer or help with transfer fees.
SoS is PvX/militia server with no WvW guilds
SoS has decent Oceanic but lacks NA compared to T2/T3 servers
SoS has a community TS3 and site (both pretty new)
SoS guilds offer open Guild Missions so your players won’t miss out on commendations while you reupgrade.

Yeah, its been brutal Yulo. We sat out manned basically all day in 4 maps, blinking on and off in EB. Tried to go head up with some of the SoS zergs, but it was impossible. They clearly have a much larger player base then last time. CD, also seems to have grown, they had a HUGE presence on our BL, I dont think we were able to field 35-40 people.
Might have to just consolidate to one map and see if we can squeeze a couple of kills out of the zergs. Oh well, just gotta take your beatings.

I am not sure if you still lead on EB but we give you guys ample room to push CD and push them off EB but you guys have a kitten for SM/WC or even coming behind us all the way to QL. If your NA is weak play the 2v1. I doubt SoS NA is any stronger then SBI since we outmanned on 2 bls and have to float across maps to keep things stable. CD is getting organized and has really big SEA crew it seems. Lots of fun in this matchup so far.

I just wanted to point out something here. Did you realize that by “bunkering” down a supply camp, forcing the roamers to kill your yaks and not flipping the supply camp actually hurts your server? A havoc team, killing each dolyak each time it leaves a spawn (if there are two), will earn between 6 – 12 points per 15 minutes. When you “bunker” down the camp and fail to protect your dolyaks, you earn 5 points per 15 minutes. Ya’ll didn’t leave your camps to even fight 3 little ol’ CD enemies, let alone protect any yaks traveling. Your yaks never made it to their destination (thus upgrades were null), you earned less points than the enemy for that camp, and you hid behind siege when you outnumbered any threat.

Do you understand that simple concept?

The bunkering accomplished what it meant to. We upgraded all camps first to 250 and then started to escort doliaks and you and your friends that look for the easy camp flips or stragglers went to another map. We upgraded our keeps and didn’t lose a single camp. Now go away.

Seriously, when did folks start complaining about such petty things in this matchup? I can kinda see where people come from when they complain about much larger zergs dropping siege mid-battle, because it can be a bit of a kitten move mid-battle if everyone came to the zerg fight just to zerg. Although I’m sure all three worlds in this match still make regular use of that tactic. Supply camps though? It’s a fairly acceptable defensive tactic as a world doesn’t usually have 5+ people spare to defend every single camp. Either you advertised your position and where you were going, the supply camp was considered important or you just got plain unlucky. Either way, the siege was probably put down at the time it was last recapped and you didn’t value your health that much if you ran into a camp with those odds and siege on display. Such is the life of a havoc group – tick, pass, move on to the next objective.

You design your specs to be able to escape from numbers and usually place classes that are survival op – bunker ele, thieves, warriors. SBI whining about facing number 8/10 server is so classic sbi from our 9 weeks of matchups. Lots of fun on EB today. Let’s keep it going all week regardless of the whiners. It’s about time SoS loses some rating making it more likely to be matched with mag/fa/cd Yay! Not that we won’t miss TC or DB but it’s nicer to be in T3 going forward.

The Server we’re currently on is SBI, while it has a good community for PVE it’s unfortunately a terrible environment for WvW. The server has 2-3 WvW guilds at most and I believe we’re the only ones who constantly have 10-35 players in a map. We like to play coordinated fights vs superior numbers and winning by skill, group makeup and tactics. We usually play on opponents borderlands for(6-8hrs)during our wvw nights and on our off days usually 10-15man EB for daily and move where server needs us.

We’d like to avoid T1 as we’ve been there done that for a long time on release when SBI was in that bracket forever. We’re trying to avoid HUGE zergs but we know its inevitable so we do expect zergs just prefer not being forced to play as one.

- Servers with a community Teamspeak/mumble are a bonus and we’d have representatives in it even though we typically use our Mumble as our main Voice comm.
- Servers that have some tpvp presence would be a bonus as well(Not expecting AR but definitely more than the SBI wasteland with no players in it). We do have a tpvp team and would be setting up a Guild vs Guild custom for server(We like to scrim to improve and hope that would be welcome).

- In the past on SBI we’ve run/participate in weekly teaching for pve pug players to teach how to play in wvw. Do’s/Do nots of siege placement, importantance of siege to make choke points/killzones, Importance of havoc groups and choking supply, importance of keeping an eye on timer when capping so you get guaranteed pts if you don’t plan to defend asset etc. Typical kitten but surprisingly most of the pugs needed to learn it.

- We are T6 and happily invite people from smaller guilds to join us for guild missions so everyone has opportunity to get commendations. We run this twice weekly to accommodate east/west time zones.

Sounds great. We could use some NA on SoS as we are always outnumbered against TC/DB/FA during NA. We have the oceanics that you desire for coverage. We have no WvW guilds. We are a PvX server that plays hard by coordinating amongst small groups or militia. We are able to field our home borderland and EB currently with a squad running on opponent BL during NA. While we do have players that are new to WvW, we also have T1 veterans who are willing to teach.

SoS is like SBI but with Oceanic coverage and a slightly less NA and no WvW guilds. We have a new community ts3/site we are ramping up. Come be part of a underdog server instead of going to FA/DB/TC.

You are mistaken. Only LeeT and FoE (which was a recent transfer to SoS) have moved to JQ. Outside of this alot of guilds are currently working on getting the server ts3 and server site back up to bring the militia coordination up again. If you play mostly during CST US check us out at emerald-fang.com. All we do is wvw and guild missions. Stick with SoS and have fun.

FYI:
One of the reasons our NA population isn’t in WvW right now is matchup with TC. They have huge numbers and some of the fairweather players don’t play with constantly being outnumbered and if the ppt is low.

Also last point. Each server outside of T1 and low coverage times where we will be outmanned etc. SoS has decent Oceanic but a lower NA. It is easier to get NA then Oceanic. We have had 4-5 guilds transfer to SoS over the last month or so and have gone from 12th position to 7 now and might be 6 in couple matchups. Also several guilds are looking at transferring to SoS as a option.

If you are able to for WvW we encourage it. Outside of that if you are unable to because of family/work etc we don’t force it. It’s just easier to coordinate with TS3.

If you already on a different server then SoS, Good luck in your search. If you want to join us on SoS you can easily transfer by deleting all your characters and then selecting SoS as your home.

You should come to the official Oceanic server Sea of Sorrows. If you new you can delete all your characters and transfer to SoS for free if you already started on another server. After fighting CD/SBI/EB. I would recommend you try EB. Players seem to scout positions and defend and their response times on sneak attacks is pretty good. They do have a couple organized guilds that run 20-30 meta and alot more guilds that do small ops. If you considering T3 please check out SoS. We don’t win in T2 and haven’t had chance to fight Mag/YB which are true T3 servers yet but we fight hard and do the best we can.

We are looking for more officers to organize WvW events in EU/Weekdays. If you feel you can lead while maintaining a calm/constructive atmosphere please check us out @ emerald-fang.com

@ EB/DB on Eternal borderland all day. Lots of fun fights. I hope you all got bags as SoS certainly had fun holding SM for that hour or two.

Ehmry Bay you guys suffer from short term memory loss. DB this afternoon took everything you owned. We take some of the stuff to even the ppt. As soon as you guys recap everything instead of pushing DB you come flip our camps and go for SM? I though ok. I left SM to let DB get it so we can push their towers, then you got SM easily while we push WC and DB camps. After you get SM, you stll don’t push DB but instead flip our camps and try for Mendons. That’s when I just said kitten it and pushed your stuff. Nice fights by Bravost. Excellent work by pk rallying your server.

DB, great fights at WC and around. Every time we held WC today, we are like give Ehmry a min or two. They will push Klovan. But no.. Hopefully we will have better luck with Ehmry tomorrow or else we can 2v1 Ehmry to split points and then 1v1 in SM

TLDR: Ehmry 2v1 DB if you can so we have a good match till Friday. Great matchup so far.

Please revert back the change on Potion of Ascalonian Mages (Utilities 6-9 & elite) can’t be used anymore while being transformed with asc mage potion since couple patches ago. This potion is great for party leaders to identify themselves in a zerg.

Because they care about what armor and runes they are wearing. We do not. Why is berserker gear in WvW the norm? When did this become a good idea. Especially given how easy it is to pick up a second set now with the WvW exotic armor vendor. Your CoF grinding gear and trait build makes you a free rally.

Because they care about what professions they bring and we do not. We have almost no necromancers and the ones we do have for some reason are running minions. Almost all of our eles are d/d. We have maybe 2 mesmers at any time and they don’t veil nor are they ever asked to. Why are they running moas as their elites? I cant tell you.

Let me, and my entire server, play the game how I/we want.

lol. That is atleast one of CDs (& other developing servers) problems. People get all defensive when few guilds try to organize/teach a server militia. Honestly if you can’t help, and have nothing constructive to say stop talking. If you have the right to play how you want, the others have the right to organize your new players and teach them, it is the responsibility of the veterans to pass the knowledge to new players or alts; it’s how you play the game.

I must’ve missed those posts (dont read every single one) but no bragging should be going on, even tonight we were a majority militia and minority solid guild players when we (TC) fought against SoS. That’s why everyone was scattering all over the place and I had to continuously tell them to “stack!”

grats on WvW guilds! Outside of reset no guild on SoS NA fields more then 20 players in WvW. SoS is miltia powered! We hope to keep getting PvX/Smaller WvW guilds so that we can field more then 2 BLs in strength. It will allow us some freedom in ppt.

I was leading at first till we stopped doing open field. We try to do retreat portals all the time but usually for chokes points. Never tried it open field before and found it doesn’t work too well unless you have 2 distinct groups that know their role. (20 man limit & all). Not sure who was leading garrison defense after. Glad you got the garrison though!

You should talk to all your current members and see if they interested in repping your guild solely & tell them what kind of guild you making.

I found that if you can have 10 people in guild that rep you ALL the time vs 30 people that rep you when they want/can, 1st option is better. Multi guild application is a great idea in theory but a true guild will always have the same playerbase which forms the core and sets the attitude of the guild. When you allow members to rep other guilds etc they don’t see your guild as ‘their’ guild and just another tag where they go to do pve or wvw or guild missions.

I revamped our guild 2-3 times now. We have had players stop playing, its the nature of the game where there is no sub fee. Some members do come back but you also constantly have to keep recruiting and people that like your guild will stay and become part of it. You should also recruit for the timezone in which you & your friend play most. People need leadership to show up and organize events.

Worst case scenario try looking into alliances with other small guilds.

You can see BG, SoR and JQ are very close, we have strengths and weaknesses that balance each other out.

If you really want to make an impact on NA and care about overall even competition then choose DB, TC or FA. If your numbers are as they say they are, it will hopefully create a 4th server of equal coverage to BG, SoR and JQ and bring about true and real competition.

If you go to SoR, BG or JQ….you may as well expect PvDoor on a stacked server. Don’t fall for nonsense from trolls, this is fact.

+ 1. FA or TC please will balance tier 2. tier 1 will cause imbalance and 2 servers will have to recruit even more.

GL with whatever T1 server you pick. If you want to push TC further up in bracket I recommend them over any other T1 server since the others are stacked to the brink of breaking already.

If you ever rethink of T2-3 servers think of SoS. We can get the community leaders to chat with you. We don’t have any queues on any borderland and already have great oceanic coverage but lack EU/SEA/NA. Your arrival would round the server off even more where we can enjoy any T2/T3 matchup without the skill lag / egoes / server hopping guilds etc.

Yep. We advise all SoS to stay off CD borderlands unless we see TC camping south part and no progress on your defense. We will recap our corner and then leave. I suggest we 2v1 TC on EB non stop to deny them any point lead because of EB.

Who we are.
The Emerald Fang is a family style guild that was created for Guild Wars 2, but also includes any other games that the members like to play. We understand that everyone has their own kind of style and their own goals in mind and we want to create a community that supports everyone whether you like WvW, sPvP, PvE or just hanging with some like minded people.

How we are organized.

We are an International based guild with members from US/CAN/AUS/NZetc therefore we organize the guild with officers located in both US/EU/AUS time-zones. This allows us to have members on during most times of the day. Communication is important so we use the tools available to us (Forums, Shoutbox, Teamspeak) to effectively coordinate. We provide structure and events but we are casual. So members can attend any organized event when they want or they can use guild chat to get something started impromptu.

Who we want.

We want people who are friendly and like getting on and helping each other out. People who enjoy using forums and TS3 to communicate. We do ask that you be at least 18, but there can be exceptions.

What we require.
We require our members to REP us all the time
We require our members to be helpful/active in Guild and TS3.
We require our members to participate in WvW events on the weekend and guild missions events.

We do T3 Bounty/Trek/Rush/Challenge/Puzzle weekly. We plan on doing the guild missions atleast twice a week when we need break from WvW. Check events calendar for timings.

TLDR:

• WvW focused with Organized events
• Structure & Events planned but with a casual environment
• TS3 Server /w 512 slots
• Dungeons’ & Orr temple runs done when able
• International guild with Members from EST/CST/PST US + AUS+NZ+CAN etc so someone always on.
• Guild Missions are a priority as well as WvW.
