I hope DB realizes if YB had any sort of nightcrew, they would be on top in this tier. This is from an outsiders view btw.

I hope you are aware that if DB had a slightly stronger NA yaks bend would not even be able to compete.

Hardly lol. As it stands its DBs NA + Oceanic vs just YBs NA. If YB had any night crew they would be winning. Simple as that. I’m not even on Yaks Bend and I can see this btw.

There’s quite a bit of difference between having, and I quote “any sort of nightcrew” and having a night crew that can actually put up any measurable resistance to NNK and TFV. If you look back a month or so, you will remember that even fighting TC and FA, the DB night crew was consistently putting up between +400 and +500 for 4-6 hours. Having a token night crew would change absolutely nothing. YB would need to acquire astonishingly massive numbers of people for it to make any difference at all.

Edit: Also, if you look at the ppt evolution for DB, you’ll notice that it rarely drops below 200, even during the strongest times for YB. DB day crew has gotten significantly stronger over the past several months. It would take far more than a bit of a night crew for YB to actually beat DB in this matchup.

Having 1-2 Guilds as opposed to none would help. Just holding home BL + pie in eternal would be enough to win should they take the PPT during NA. I’ve fought YB before, they have absolutely no one except for those who stay up so yes, even a “token night crew” would help. Believe what you like.

If YB crew altered their strategy and hit DB stuff instead of spawn camping SoS DB lead would be MUCH less. if you 2v1 DB and keep their ppt during NAas low as possible their PvDoor advantage during EU/SEA would be offset. But SoS will drop to T4 and YB can continue being #2 in T3 by hitting #3 Maguma next week. Unless you have coverage you have to play 2v1 game against 1st or continue being #2.

Getting ready for T4 on SoS. We are going to have some fun in WvW and enjoy Guild Rushes when they are finished researching next week. Come check us out!

Guild Rushes are currently 9 days away from being completed. We do T3 bounty & Trek with no issues and plan on doing all 4 guild missions at least 2 times a week.

I suggest looking a good guild that focuses on WvW but does the other aspects of GW2 as well because WvW burns you out if you do it 24/7 for weeks straight.

Guardians are fun in WvW. I do suggest you level 1-30 in PvE to get use to the class and get all the utility skills unlocked. Until you are 80 and geared 1v1 you will lose in WvW will often die if you try to roam solo. This spec is intended for group play.

We provide structure and events but we are casual. So members can attend any organized event when they want or they can use guild chat to get something started impromptu.

Who we want.

We want people who are friendly and like getting on and helping each other out. People who enjoy using forums and TS3 to communicate. We do ask that you be at least 18, but there can be exceptions.

What we require.
We require our members to REP us all the time
We require our members to be helpful/active in Guild and TS3.
We require our members to participate in WvW events on the weekend and guild missions events.

We do our best to have the events as scheduled but we are casual so have some flexibility.

Guild Missions update
We do T3 Bounty/Trek weekly with two other slots on the calender where we do T1 for those that can’t make the T3 time. We are currently researching Guild Rush which should finish in 9 days. We plan on doing the guild missions atleast twice a week when we need break from WvW.

TLDR:

• WvW focused with Organized events
• Structure & Events planned but with a casual environment
• TS3 Server /w 512 slots
• Dungeons’ & Orr temple runs done when able
• International guild with Members from EST/CST/PST US + AUS+NZ+BRA+Japan+China etc so someone always on.
• Guild Missions are a priority as well as WvW.

Today 3 guilds were looking for Sottz but couldn’t find him…. can you guys reduce the spawn locations or confirm that it is possible to find the barrel before we start the event. otherwise we need 50 people on the map trying to find this guy and still fail sometimes. Failed 2 T3 bounties because of this guy so far. When we don’t get him we easily do with 4 mins left.

Looking for more WvW focused players that like to play on underdog servers. Come to SoS and have fun with Fang. We are also doing Tier3 Bounty/Trek weekly and will have guild rushes in 10 days as well.

you have to buy 2 uncommon 20 slot fractal bags to keep all the greens organized from wvw to throw in mystic toilet.

Anet needs to put a daily cap on capturing structure wxp like 5keeps/10towers. also wxp for defense should be double the attack. wxp/money should be enabled for escort doliak quests.

Today DB was running around with 100 people and basically jumped maps after full capping everything easy. Once we had enough people on we set up defense at tower because the zerg’s path is predictable. Lots of badges to be farmed this way. Just go to a good defendable tower/keep and make a stand and have some fun.

This is my personal experience and not AFS but for me, Colin’s post about free transfer is a little useless. Seeing as how the new update on WvW will reward you if you ‘DO’ more WvW not PvDoor, transferring to a lower tier server is just counter productive.

That said, as an AFS member (not AFS as a whole) would just like to find more action. I am personally sad to leave SoS as we started here and stay the longest before even considering the option of transferring. I will leave the server judgement to Grekkz and will support him 100%. We worked with many guilds from around the world and they can vouch for us that we will make a difference in your server.

Please stay on topic and post the stuff required by Grekkz and we will look into it. Thanks.

If you guys worried about PvDoor. Plenty of SEA on CD that can keep you entertained. Try staying on SoS for 1 week during T4 and see how the server does. If you can’t find action I understand but don’t assume like the rest that only T2+ have Sea/Oceanics

Here’s my advice. Eliminate any server that has guilds which tell you not to go to their rival server. It’s like reverse recruiting.

If you ask any of the guilds who have recently transferred to JQ, they will tell you that without a doubt the most transfer friendly server is JQ. We let guilds make their own hours, choose their own maps and run how they want to run.

We support our guilds and work as a team.

Above all, we have a lot of fun doing it. Frequently, I have to take breaks because I am laughing so hard.

If you’re more about people than about numbers and ratings and who caps who and who is this or that, come to JQ. We have real people, not canned!

Honestly squad is useless. Other then supply info it doesn’t provide any utility/ease of use for the commander. I would say it would be 1000x better if all it did was add up the supply everyone has and put a total at top right next to personal supply but no. it doesn’t even do that. Doesn’t allow you to see status of the squad. Doesn’t have a unique color dot for the squad.

Just a 100g for a blue doritto icon that helps with pointing your location. That’s it.

I know you probably considered this but stay on SoS. You know the coverage already :P

Also those that saying not to kitten that culling and the new progression is worth calling this the BIG WvW update…. If you don’t complain Devs will just go back to PvErs and 3-4 months from now we get another Big WvW update that removes skill lag and adds 5-10 new abilities in WvW progressing… bleh…

Bring back orbs with outmanned bonus and make it so you have to kill the keep lord to get the orb. Make the keep lord harder/unique for each keep by giving it new abilities so it takes coordination to kill him instead 11111. Add sometdifferent mechanic to make the kitten zergfest stop. Like homeworld gets a nuke ability that starts destroying enemy T3 walls etc so they lose health over time… Easier to get homeworld back harder for enemy to stay on your borderland.

Experiment ask for feedback… Don’t call fixing a issue plaguing WvW since launch (culling) a update!

Just want to throw in, that the german blog about the guild mission update mentions new wvw blueprints as a guild mission reward. They say, they are similar to the ones you get from the mystic forge. (The english blog is missing this part.)

Added New abilities/wxp for progression on character so you pigeon holed on 1 character. Their excuse was that they want people to try new specs in WvW on different characters with new abilities but you can get ALL the abilities if you play WvW and level enough just like PvE skills. Got 2 characters you like for WvW 2x the grind.

No core mechanic changes that make Zerg split up & reward defense, no increase money from events in WvW, no rewards for escorting doliaks still (Give us 3-4 silver atleast and take away XP to avoid bots). Some kind of daily WvW mission like escort 2-3 doliaks kill 15-20 people, take a tower etc with different tiers that gives us money/xp/chance at rare/exotic with small chance at precursor??? Instead We ALL get to carry 5 more supply and take less damage from siege. So just assume everyone has 15 supply from now on mmmk. That’s not progression that’s just changing the amount of supply everyone in WvW can carry or reducing the damage siege does because everyone can just get all the WvW abilities as long as they play long enough…

New Weapons through Guild Missions.. ? Seriously you couldn’t add some kind of exotic armor/weapons exclusive to WvW. Instead anet makes us PvE and grind mats/mystic toilet for legendaries & fotm for ascended gear.

OFC your character, even tho it’s upleveled, you won’t match the level 80 full exotics out there, but as soon you hit 80 and the exotic gear from the badges of honor, you will be able to compete in equal footing…

When I said equal footing for that, I meant we all start at 0 progression on March 26th right? So even though I’m only 40, I’ll be able to start at the same place a level 80 in full exotics is starting.

In terms of the progression/achievement yes.

This whining about 2v1 in no way represents what we as a server and our core guilds think about the situation. What we see is dragonbrand playing to their strengths and being effecient about it, this creates the illusion of a 2v1 in which Yak’s has no part in. DB are playing tactical and using Yak’s to their strength however as many of us have seen during this matchup YB is definitely a force to be reckoned with.

All in All tier 3 has shown us some of the best fighting and strategy in a long time. Respect to DB and YB from SoS

+1. I know DB & YB feel they need to respond to these type of threads but 2 of these type of threads got more posts then the actual weekly matchup thread. Don’t feed the trolls.

Also SoS isn’t dying. You might wish that but it’s not. We just have more oceanics then other servers in T3 or below. This makes SoS a ideal server for more NA players to transfer to. You won’t have to worry about losing your hardwork when you go to bed with great oceanic community. Small guilds looking for a challenge from lower tiers can give us a try. We got pie & cookies.

‘Culling fixed’.
WvW kill/defend exp to progress levels and unlock WvW only abilities like carry more supply, more damage while on siege, less damage taken from siege etc.
Some way to buy gear for medals or some new currency from WvW.
No orbs are not getting back yet.
No new mechanic like orb is introduced etc.

Same old ZvZ without culling so people will have to use more then vale bombs. Atleast we hope.

No. I suggest YB and DB guilds/players that are looking for a server with excellent PvE base and great oceanic coverage to come to SoS. NA SoS has no queues even on reset night on ANY map. Guilds are helpful and work together even for guild missions.

We are now at 85 players average log in daily. We run guild missions twice a week to make sure every members gets to participate. We plan on doing Guild trek mission in 8 days and currently do Guild bounty Tier 2 twice a week.

JQ is right now holding off both SoR and SoS in JQ keep on EB. Really heroic and over 5 commanders. The hate on us is strong, but we can fight back.

It’s not hate, it’s how EB works. Later in the week SoS will be in the same position, so will SoR.

Apart from a few notable exceptions, you know who you are, respect from me for whats its worth. the rest of it is filled with constant whining and excuses. The entitlement culture seems strong in some elements of the GW2 WvW community.
