Guild Wars 2

Warriors are the class for folks that just want to play and not think. That is not a bad thing, but admit you are putting very little effort into playing if you are running a warrior as a main.

They are just a filler class and offer zip , but if you want to watch something on the DvR with the wife while playing, they fit the bill.

Last few days (I know must just be random) have had so much luck with grasp.

I mean even pulling folks off stuff. That with d/d and the root is just simple kills..

Nothing beats that smartass ranger trying to plink you from up high.

PvE is so easy in this game.. Go d/d and axe/focus.. you can swap #2 between them and level just fine.. keep a well up for aoe with DS 4.

I mean honestly and no offense you can level pve in this game with a toothpick and pj’s for armor..

That seems a redundant combination. Dagger/dagger, for instance, deals a lot of power damage with autoattacks, I can hardly see a reason to switch out to axe/focus, except for focus utilities.

Moving off topic, but heh – This is from a wpvp viewpoint, mind you.

I swap out from axe/focus for a few reasons. Dagger 2 is nice and I have traited for 400 more toughness on channeling. Each set has an ok aoe if needed with axe 3 and dagger 5.

I am always open to feedback and welcome it. I dont have much issue in killing stuff wpvp once I close. Closing without a leap, ride the lighting, heartseeker etc ehh..

Our pull is not that reliable. If fixed I would be very happy. So having the dagger and focus off hands helps a ton once I do catch up.

The bug is where you can throw your pet up on a tower or off the wall to attack

But it is a bug and Anet said it will be removed at some point.

But it is fun to throw the panther up there with stealth and let him go to town.

With that said, I do carry a staff for a few times in wpvp to clear walls. Silly to not have all your weapons no matter your class in wpvp. There is almost always a time you can use them.

PvE, no real clue. I find it so simple to pve no matter what class. You can level just fine running around doing events and hearts with a spork

Yeah we made an alt guild of two of us to handle this stuff..

If you got the gold, it is really easy to get to the point of having a guild bank for two people to share.

Heck my kid and I have a 2 person guild and just doing the dailies and a gold here and there keeps it flowing for influence.

I was going dagger off hand just for the cond removal. My only other one is the heal on the 25 sec CD

No desire to run axe in any set up though Dethen.. No offense but it does not appeal to me with the skills and dps..

And your spec is odd as you are taking about the swapping and have all the points in DS.. Sure I am missing something, so be happy to hear what that is with your spec!

Looking for what the normal d/d Wpvp build it..

I am running axe and focus for WpvP (I dislike the scepter and of course use staff for some situations).

It is ok. I like it better then dagger main hand due to the increase range. Axe 2 hits pretty fast (the channel is slower and hits harder then dagger 2 I feel) and axe 3 is pretty solid for the aoe.

I think focus is pretty important off hand vs dagger , but I have not spent a ton of time with dagger off hand, so no expert. I look at off hand stuff more about effects then dps (which admittedly could be wrong).

just happy to hear about other main hand axe uses out there in wpvp!

Oh in all of them I run with two wells and run speed buff. I keep the trait for targeted wells also and life siphon on them. I found with the axe and having the targeted 900 range wells, it was pretty nice.

And still nothing new from Anet… 12 + hours and nothing really from them.

This is the bigger problem..

At least share that you still don’t have a handle on it, but say 72 hour, a week something..

I lost the 1000 slayer kills for all the mobs (was 999 but still)

AND the big one, the lifetime one where you don’t die over x amount of xp..

It does tell you what armor is for what. Says heavy, medium and light.

I am s/d wpvp’er and only use water to get to my dagger 5 really. Sure scepter 3 if I can, but it is so/so.

I spend 70% in air and rest split in fire or earth depending on what is going on. Fire can be ok if you can get a flank on a group and/or to get the might stacking.

With a power build and 20 in air, I find scepter air does really well

I LOVE doing earth 5, and porting into the group. That gets me so many kills.

Well there is no reason to not have earth, water (duh) and even air (all bubbles?) underwater.

Fire could still be magma with aoe steam damage.

Wpvp, I am finding folks hitting the water vs me which really hampers what I can do.

nobody can tell YOU what YOU want to play, OP. Sorry but for each player, there are things that draw you to different aspects of various classes.

Plus your post was really thin and we could not even venture to guess what your playstyle is.

Why ban him though? Anet has said 100 times that you must use the trading post. They are not going to police the community if you go outside of this.

As players we were warned and scammed players ADMIT they should not have done it, and yet do it.

You know the risk, so don’t do it. Not up to Anet to police it. Up to us a players to you know, use common sense and the safe tools provide to us.

Like calling the cops because someone did not give you the drugs you paid someone for.

You have had skins available via the gems store..

why do folks keep asking for something they put up

I am in a two person father/daughter guild and we are doing fine with influence.

If we do our dailies together (which we do) we bring in bunch hf influence.

Not saying I never spent 20 silver here or there to get some, but it works fine.

We have all the buffs we need for us (did not spend on the wpvp stuff atm).

I get them, so I offer to meet them at random locations all over the map. I keep “moving” and having them look for me while I do my own thing 2 zones away..

Love stringing the beggers along

Thieves have shortbow and about 6 stealths to use.

My warrior has a ton of mobility with sig rage, warhorn and GS.

Sorry Galrukh but D/D is not unkillable. They might be able to disengage and run but they are not the only class that can do it.

Even as a D/D I carry staff, scepter and focus in my bags.

There are times where it is smart to use them.

Open fire, then earth and lighting if solo mob.

Rotate your two blinds.

Dailies do not take an hour to finish. My daughter is 13 and plays and has about hour a night of freetime. She knocks out the daily in 15 mins, if that.

You can get them all really fast in Wayfarer Hills. Maw is up every 20 mins, there are vet mobs, there is underwater mobs etc etc.

She is the definition of casual player. She has 80 elementalist and 46 guardian and when she WANTS (ie she does not log in everyday) she does the daily in 15-20 min tops.

These people that say an hour to do a daily? That is a flat out lie unless you are not even putting effort into doing it.

Who uses their primary email for gaming? If you do, you need to stop that.

So who cares if someone sees your gaming email.

Just saying but there are a bunch of guilds that want to just go out and do their thing,

To say they are lessening their enjoyment is incorrect. I know my smaller guild will get together and just grab supply camps, roam and do our thing while in vent and having fun.

It is more fun for us then being in server voicechat and being told what to do and when to do it.

There is nothing wrong with either style of play, but don’t act like guilds are not having fun if they don’t play your way.
