from now on every time i go on forums and see a topic that even slightly smells of people that whine about “grinding” i will post this:

this game is not grinding. if you want grinding go try a korean mmo and you’ll see what grinding is. i have never been told to stand in the same spot for hours/days/weeks to get to a certain level or to maybe get a certain prize. yes, i know what i’m talking about. i’ve wasted 5 years of my life on a korean mmo. if minimal work is required to get to a certain prize or reward than that is not grinding. if you have to read 1 mail made of 1 paragraph no longer than 20-30 sentences or even less, than that’s just a friendly dev trying to help you out. if you prance about from land to land, killing something every once in a while and get a prize for doing so, than that is not grind. so to all ungrateful children or even adults! please stop whining about the minimal work you have to do to get something. if you didn’t get an endless tonic you didn’t. will you be able to play if you don’t have a full inventory of useless tonics? yes. and don’t be a hoarder.. check out what you need or might need in the near future. if you don’t use that thing for a month or so, destroy it/sell it/ transmute it. but stop filling your precious space with stuff you will most likely never need. so please i beg of you.. stop with the whine threads and grind threads. hate all you want. this is my only post for now.

one small error in that plan.. robotic golems cannot get drunk ^^ only drunk in the robot sense would be tinkering with the mainboard or some kind of virus that causes the “drunk” effect. or a malfunction

i have some free time and decided to make a real sword based on the wintersday sword skin you can buy in gem store.
i’ll be using a process called pyrography which basically means wood burning

this is going to take some time to complete however but here is a pic of what it might look. like a blueprint if you will ^^

my opinion is that there are too many whiners with nothing better to do than talk about how disappointed they are just because a new tier was introduced and how unfair that is. go out there and get it, or don’t if you don’t want to.

Stopped playing last week, Just logged in to check if the game was updated. Checked mail, got my karka chest in the mail, saw fractals still active, logged out. Seeyou all in a month when i check if vertical progression is gone. ta ta Back to dwarf fortress lol

yes, let’s all quit the game we don’t like over ONE single thing and report on forums every month and open a new thread every time to tell the good people that we still don’t like it.

and every time someone feels like quitting has to make a topic on forums. because they want to quit and everyone should know about it. because he is an important part of the game and it will not be the same without him. or he’s not totally sure if he wants to quit and wants other people to try to convince him not to quit. or..
i could go on for ages why people do something like that. if you are displeased with the game, stop playing it. don’t tell everyone you’re gonna quit because anet introduced a new type of gear. “but.. but.. they said they wouldn’t do that..” well it’s their game and they can do whatever the hell they want. for me personally is good that they gave us ascended. that way there’s always someone better than you. you have something to look forward to. work for the gear you want. not just hit 80, buy exotics, some fancy weapons, and trinkets and go among equals. you want to quit real life too just because you saw a guy that was bigger, stronger, prettier than you? ofc not..

anyone reading this that’s about to quit: DON’T POST A TOPIC ABOUT IT AND JUST GO! WE DON’T NEED ANY MORE NEGATIVITY AROUND HERE ANYWAYS…

unless you’re like the guy on the picture i highly doubt that running arround with dual dagger, pistol, sword or even great sword is common.. anywhere. unless it’s halloween ;D

You know you play Guild Wars 2 too much when you get hungry and you check the fridge and see that dad brought your favorite salami from the store and you think: “Now this is a find!”

i can’t disagree with that ^^ but it does build wealth, and wealth is key component for buying them exotics i’m currently on Berserker’s emblazoned gear, and i have to say, if i hadn’t had a friend that crafts those, i would still wear yellows.

you guys left out the most important or should i say the easiest! way to get rares and exotics. complete all the lands from level 40 and more. you get rares from level 40-50 lands and exotics from 70-80 lands. and you can make a lot of money with that. you usually get 2 rare/exotic types, 1 random gem store consumable, 40x craft mats, and a cash prize for completing a land.

and it doesn’t take that long to do it

this game does not require grind.. the thing you are referring to is CASUAL PLAY.
grinding is commonly used in korean mmo’s that actually require a person to grind several months to acquire a certain type of equipment that differs from the normal one.
so you won’t have to “grind” to get the equipment, but you will have to PLAY the game to get it.

p.s.: believe me when i say these things… i’ve been a korean mmo game player for 5 years.

you can buy them on the TP(trading post). it’s the fastest and most secure way of getting them

every topic that i read about the new update i see a bunch of babies arguing that every update is a spoof of WoW and that they don’t like “grinding”. most of you don’t even know what grinding is. try some korean mmo and then tell me what grinding is. i played a korean grind game for 5 years, and this is not grinding. so quit your whining threads and wait for the update to happen and then make threads why you don’t like this and that…
and for god’s sake please stop with the “MMO market will not progress, they are copying ideas from each other” and such.. the market is doing it’s best to fit the player. and there are always people that will not like certain parts of the game. that’s just how it is. make it appealing for 50-70%. there is always that 30% that will not like it. you will never reach 100%. or even 90% for that matter.

it comes down to, you either like it or you don’t. gw2 is versatile enough for a lot of people. you don’t like grinding? then don’t grind. make money by exploring and gathering. you don’t like pvp? don’t attend pvp tournamets. you don’t like WvW? same.. don’t attend WvW. game offers alot of different things to do. or you can try all of that.. maybe you’ll end up liking it

can someone please explain to people like me, why would you leave a game just because they are introducing a new type of equipment and/or upgrades for it?
none of you even had the time or the means to test it, let alone see it, for it has not been implemented in the game yet. why hate things that you know nothing or very little of?

and there is always one guy/girl, that will comment a video made purely for entertainment without causing any harm to others, and state that the community in gw2 has gone to kitten. like the community consists of 10 players of which one is a prankster. and all has fallen apart because that “prankster” used one of his pranks on other 9 players. not causing any expense or permanent injury to those 9 players. and i have not seen a single “flame” post in chat. have you?

p.s.: and i don’t see any people “wondering” what happened to gw2 community..
