I don’t understand this. How is Karma scarce? When has Karma ever been scarce? Karma is one of the most prevalent, and simultaneously useless currencies in the game.

karma is one of the most useful things when you decide to start working on your legendary. if you weren’t careful with it back in the days, when you could get a 100k in 1 week, you may find yourself begging for it on every corner. after the nerf it’s hard to gather the needed ammount. i for one, find myself on WvW for 3-4h a day just to gather the ammount you got previously from a daily.

i rly hope they do something about that.

More reason for me to not even attempt it. I thought this game was for casuals, not 24/7 no lifers.

As long as he keeps them difficult but of a manageable length it won’t matter what kind of gamer you are.

I agree with “manageable length.” It was the most infuriating part of the dungeon. When I went to the restroom I had my roommate press a,s,d,w to make sure I wasn’t sent to the hub.

Also, keep in mind GW2 is the game, not Josh F. GW2 presents.

yep i can confirm the afk.. i was away for 1h33min exactly and i was still standing on a ledge when i came back ^^

i would have nothing against an angry cloud tonic or mini but i agree with OP on the meta count.. you’re basically doing the same thing on hard mode. now, if you’ll excuse me, i have to go do the bauble achievements.. XD

i’m working with computers (hardware) for about 15y now and all i can say is i’m speechless about this problem. i checked every piece of hardware and everything is working as it should.

p.s.: i have to say again, that 11 months ago when i got the game i was able to play on almost maxed out graphics then in slowly came down to medium settings and now to “best performance”. i did tweak the cpu a bit and i am getting some better results in LA (28frames now – 20 before) but open world is still a no-go.

well if i use “auto-detect” in options my frame rate will drop to about 20fps in LA.. god forbid i try it in open world. i am literally forced to use “best performance” settings to keep it at a steady 50fps(30fps in wvw).

here are my stats: radeon HD 6850 OC, 3.2ghz quad core CPU, 8 gigs of ram. cpu and gpu are water cooled. any other games run smooth(payday 2, even League of legends capping on 60fps at high settings) but gw2 is playable only on low settings for me atm..

pls fix this anet. i want to enjoy the game like i did 4 months ago on high settings

did a preview on it and it’s the same for me.

well i did spot a post on reddit about it and a guy there posted something that might help you out.
go to: “C:\users\xxxxxx\appdata\local\temp\” and locate a folder “gw2cache-{xxxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxxx}” and delete it. the game should not be running when you do that.
and i have to say, there is a difference now.. loading times are shorter.

i really don’t mind the achievement being 10.. no point in rushing these things.. we get to 10 and we get a reward for it. if you’re too impatient to wait you can always go to PvP locker and preview the kitten out of it XD

P.S.:
does it involve the letter “f” and maybe “k”? i bet you could also find “i” and “n” in there too

well you could look at it this way… Holographic SHATTERED dragon wings.. shattered just might be “destroyed” or “broken”. so the off animation might symbolize the defeated dragon wings flapping with their last ounce of strength

P.S.: don’t confuse SHATTERED WINGS with SHATTERER’S WINGS..

it’s pure rng gamble.. checking posts on forums leaves you with mixed feelings.. one posted an entire spreadsheet on 1k coffers with 0 tickets, others say they got their in the first 50 coffers.. i don’t know what to think..

i like the 2 boss encounters you came up with.. the bombs make it a bit more challenging to complete. as an ele i can stack cd on canach too, but i prefer the bomb way. i hope more things like that are released in the future, but i would really like if one of the devs or staff tell me, when will there be an expansion that takes more then 2h to complete?
don’t get me wrong.. i like living story, but an expansion would be better

best advice i can give you is MOVE.. like a lot. be aware of your surroundings and where you stand. don’t get hit by shamans or gunners, and at the end stay clear of the circles the firestorm makes(dredge). and try to jump over the Berserkers(charr) aoe damage circles but beware.. some travel on the ground and some in the air. jump only when he makes a ground wave.

i was searching for them on piken square and it was bugged on both maps.. then a guy suggested i guest on Gandara server because you can get them there on both maps. so i went there and did it in 20min

about the “Flame&Frost” part.. you got “Flame” enemies that attack you with fire, and you got Cooling Boxes that “Freeze” the air and cause “Frostbite”

would be nice if Josh shares some thoughts about that

Good list, folks. A lot of these are planned. But of course we’ll have to do a lot of testing to see what feels right. It will definitely be way too hard for me. And I personally promise to bow down to any characters who have the title.

I noticed a lil’ bug if you, let’s say you’re at L1Z2 and you killed the boss, wait for the timer to get to 1 and then jump from the cage fight platform into the green water, you can hear your hearts tick away during the loading screen for Z3. And when it loads you die instantly and re-appear at the same spot ^^

tbh i don’t really use any technique XD i was a boy scout back in the days and i remember one particular camping trip/orientation challenge. There was a guide that worked on maps for the forest area, and i spent a lot of time with him ^^
the only thing you have to look at is your position. That is far easier in-game then in RL.
you just set up a make belief North, East, South, West, and measure one side of the edge in seconds.. and when you set up a base point and length, you can do all the rest by reference to that
I hope i can squeeze in zone 3 and W2Z1 with all the exams i have XDD and i’ll try to do a top level for zone 2 and zone 3

p.s.: there are some minor mistakes in maps now that i look back on it.. XD

i’ve mapped it as well as i could. there’s nothing between cp1 and cp2 because i find it irrelevant to bother with :P

so… i got bored and i browsed my pc for stuff
then, as i was flipping trough folders, i found the “Guild Wars 2” folder and there was a file called “ArenaNet” inside.. so i clicked it and it opened in notepad.. most of it was lines of code, but at the end there was a section called “Error Logs” and i read a couple..

here’s the thing.. you should be fine once you get the hang of it.. it’s the same if you’re level 2 or level 80. so no problem if you’re 40 ^^
i would suggest you do your first run with a group or if you’re confident to try it on your own, go infantile mode for 1st time(once you enter past moto and coin scene, there’s a cloud on your right). besides that it’s like any old platform game from the 90’s. you got your enemies that have a bad AI, some jumping to go along with that, some chests that contain a prize, and a boss fight at the end which will give you prizes.
there are 2 types of common prizes.. from mobs you get baubles which you can carry a total of 250(500 if you have upgraded bag but that’s another story) and from boss chests you get bauble bubble which you have to collect 50 to get a skin from moto in rata sum(next to SAB entrance). there is also a chance to get a random skin from boss chests. but it’s fairly rare.. i’ve read somewhere that drop rate is like 1 in 50 chests.. give or take you can also exchange 250 baubles for 1 bauble bubble(moto-rata sum).
best you can do once you finish that infantile mode is to check out this guy http://dulfy.net/2013/04/01/gw2-super-adventure-box-guide/ he’s got an excellent guide for SAB.

flip trough the forums, read some guides, and you’ll be doing speed runs in a couple of hours!
and most importantly.. HAVE FUN doing it

you’re getting way too excited guys.. if you flip trough some other topics on the SaB sub-forum, you will find out that SaB is here till the end of april, but will return shortly after. all speculations lead to rumors that are 90% false. and the rarity of an item that is from a one time event will always be surpassed by another item from another event. i don’t understand all the talk about “what about the new players”.. what about them? they weren’t here when the event took place and if they want a “skin” from that event they will have to pay up to get it.
take a look at the halloween event.. i wanted a greatsaw greatsword skin, but i couldn’t get it.. i can get it now still, but i’d have to pay quite a lot of G.

why wouldn’t you try it? you can get a skin in 18 days with ease and then just save it and use it when you hit 80. or you can use it now even if you’re level 50. but you need some basic transmutation stones and a fine one for level 80.

is it possible to get the skin when finishing L2 Z1 as a reward?

they can just as well make it a hard mode exclusive for all i care… i just need a JP that’s challenging. and don’t say Mad king’s clock tower.. that one was way too easy for me

Fractal weapons are Exotic weapons that drop in the higher levels (20+) of the Fractals of the Mists. These weapons are account bound when received out of the Daily Reward Chest. Fractal weapons do not have attributes nor weapon sigils on them. It is intended that players use Fine Transmutation Stones to combine the look of a Fractal weapon with the stats of another weapon.

It’s because the Asura arn’t bright enough to notice the snow already there,.. =3

one does not simply accuse the entire Asura race of not being bright enough and gets away with it! the machines are not producing normal snow but magical snow, which is used to create snowmen for the achievement. and the snow maker machines were purposely placed hoovering in the air so all the other non-asurans can find them with ease.
