We had this QQ back in november. Since then we knew this was coming. We’re getting one tier which is ascended. If they announce another higher tier then you can QQ all you want.

First Legendary, now ascended.
First Jewels, now weapons, later gear.

The fact i made this thread, is that anet lied to us about itemspiral. And that: hey now I must grind do get this **** stuff and I must upgrade my equipment to get no disadvantage. You see the point?
I MUST !. For 3 different character, different gear for different playstyles. But wait what is if I am playing two times a week?

Are you talking about wvw or spvp because in truth gear not going to win you fights its going to be more about your team comp or what land your holding. If your talking about pve GW2 has no means of looking at ppl gear nor are there any means or reading your true dps in a fight simply put GW2 is not made to be a max min game and if your going to try to play it that way your going to never have fun (in a way your never going to have fun in any game you play by playing that way because it becomes a very dry foumla that you must hold to or you will feel as if you failed but you will never feel rewarded for doing it).

Ascended Gear destroys Guild Wars 2 because Guys like me ave not the time to farm it for one, two or three characters. If I have it then, the next gear, maybe legendary Gear comes out and then? Grind grind grind. Hm

And you can get +20% dmg on walls with a cata or +25% more dmg over all on that cata i am not sure how you see an ascended wepon or item helping some one on that cata take down a wall.
You can say the same for an AC treb soon the ram Oil pot (lol) etc.. You can even use supplies faster and more effectively your gear dose NOTHING to help you when it comes to playing the real World vs World part of wvw.

1vs1. It makes a big different! Full exotic vs full ascended played by high level pvpers, 10% more damage make the different. Small Scale fights 2-15 players = ascended guys makes the difference.

You must be kidding, MandJ. This game was rushed. It was released unfinished. Nothing in orr worked. The Zhaitan-fight was finished right before they shipped the game. That’s why they didn’t add ascended gear at launch (if it’s true that they intended to do so as it could still be just a PR excuse)

Hey bro: If you have ever played another MMO, like WoW… a new raid tier is out every few months. It takes a raider one or two months to acquire a full tier set.

Notice something similar? Takes the average GW2 player one or two months to acquire the latest and greatest ascended gear.

It might not be a new tier every few months, but its a new slot. And the time to acquire is the same as acquiring a new WoW raiding tier.

Still no treadmill in my opinion. It’s one gear type … if you cry about them adding a new gear type, why don’t you cry about gear from the beginning, because if ascended gear were there from the launch, nothing of this QQ would be happening.

It’s a itemspiral if you must grind for better gear and when it after Release comes out. That’s a itemspiral. After Release is one Top Gear. They never said giving all weapons to all professions, they ONLY said adding new skills and traits for each professions.

Honestly, of all the available weapon types there, only Hammer somewhat fits with Engineer’s theme, using anything else like Focus or Sword is just weird.

If anything, while other classes get more weapon types unlocked or simply getting new weapons, we will probably get more unique kits imo.

I’m hoping they’d add a kit that’s leaning more toward long range combat, with an attack speed faster than that of Grenade Kit’s flying speed…

They said they WANT give all the weapons to all professions.

The trait, Automated response Stops all conditions at 25% hp from being applied. Given so many classes play condition builds, this one trait can make almost all condition builds useless vs engineers. It also allows them to troll in a map. Three condition players may not even be able to take down an engineer with this trait on.

My suggestion, please give the trait a cool-down or allow other players to remove conditions as well as the engineer can.

I might probably not be able to log on before reset, so I would like to thank both Piken and Riverside for fights, both those good and those less good ;-).

I support what I said earlier – both Piken and Riverside have roaming parties, sized 3-5. Maybe it was my luck, but we met much more roaming parties from Riverside than from Piken.

If I failed to get some guild names properly, apologies. During the fight I am focused on survival mostly.

From a roamer operating in 1-5 people party, special thanks to:

Riverside:

- Mithrandir guild, notably a ranger I met yesterday. Nice 1 vs 1, as a ranger you could have escaped any time if you wanted (besides, rangers have it hellishly hard vs mesmers). /bow

- Virtual Masters guild. We had some interesting fights, mostly in last ticks in Piken camps ;-). Great reaction time and timing to get points to tick :-). Hope we could give you as much hell as you gave us. /bow

- [ZdF] (Zinkel der Finsternis?). We met you many times and no matter if we won or lost, we had fun. Thank you for the game. /bow

- Druckwelle. What to say? Strong, competent, efficient, deadly. Nice meeting you. /bow.

- Legendary Nonames. In all our meetings we were dominating (3-4 vs 2). Still, even outmanned, you were dangerous and slippery. /bow.

Piken:

- War Inc guild. I never saw you in large groups and you are really good and skilled enemies to fight. I will remember you very fondly. Hope we meet again ;-). /bow

- Forsaken Gamers. Oh yes, we met you many times. You don’t seem to use more people than needed to do a job which led to quite memorable battles against our team. And you are very skilled, too. Special shout to FG guardian commander and The Moon Tree necromancer who killed us (2 vs 2) yesterday morning. We got a bit too reckless and needed that lesson. /bow

- Good Game (?) guild. We met you several times and had some good fights in the process. Many fights, too many to mention. /bow

To both Piken and Riverside:

I would like to thank a lot to the other guilds and mixed guild parties we met, killed and died to.
Smaller parties were fun to fight against.
Larger groups taught us how to be slippery and evade them ;-).

Nothing like a thrill of trying to get that Briar in 4 people (or Crag), knowing we can get annihilated anytime, or “3 min 30 seconds! Run to Astral, ignore all! We can make it before tick!”

To be honest, if you met a (mixed) team of [MM] and [Drgr], numbered 2-5 and you were between 1 and 8, no matter the result… I thank you very much. You made this matchup really enjoyable :-).

Calling it now. This is just a setup to nerf zephyrs boon and get rid of easy perma fury/swiftness for d/d. Can’t wait to hear them claim how awesome the new traits will be. I hope I am proven wrong though.

Why do you need Zephyr’s Boon for perma swiftness?

Glyph of Harmony + Any other Swiftness source does it for me.

Obviously the more important boon there is perma Fury but thx for pointing out how easy swiftness is to get.

Because putting your heal on CD for swiftness seems like the worst idea ever. Having to burn your best defensive weapon powers (frost/shock aura) for swiftness is bad enough. Add to that, the glyph is easily the weakest heal we have since the genius behind ANet balance crapped all over cleansing water with glyph heal and inscription.

No when your Healskill has a short c, 15-20 seconds its the best idea!
1) 33% to run away or get faster to fights
2) you don’t need to use runes and you can choose a better ulitie.

They will come back, as stone dwarves or normal.
I am really sure that this will happening.
Maybe not as NPC. That would.be relly awesome!

Camped you spawn Point on Gunnars Hold and you guys waited fif you are more than three In the end I think on every server are guys who cannot play PvP. But please don’t say RS has no good guilds or good players because thats not true. There are many Guilds who can play. TIA, DTK, VM, dw, VU. All guilds with very good players. And a Player, which got attacked by 8 Players, not run is silly. If you loose a battle why fight to the end when it’s a 1vs3 or 1vs4? Doesn’t make sense.
So, stop crying and play PvP or something else
