Man did you play a different game? I killed the Necro on far and capped it and I couldn’t went mid, because everybody were dead… Nobody of the mid players came on far the guy I killed came back. As you can see that’s what I meant… You guys couldnt get close and mid and kept dying. I tried to push mid for support with my portal, but we got outnumbered so I ported back on far, cause the necro came back to cap it. I was half life when I arrived on this far-point and killed the necro…
The opening was the same from them the warrior pushed at your close and killed you fact. 1-3-1 and we lost 2 notes. It’s even ridicolous to play bunker mesmer, because it’s obviously useless in 1 vs 1. So why didn’t you pushed mid for support and smb else close. I said from the beginning that I’ll push far, cause it always worked the last games. Especially on forefire where people can very easily move from point to point. You made the wrong move not me. And blaming me for this lost is not right either. We had a bad matchup from the beginning on, cause they were advantaged with an ele. If I would’ve pushed mid in the beginnig It wouldn’t have made a difference, because you died on close and somebody would’ve needed to go….

Where I got the response, if far ticks differently.. lol. [Edit: And if you would have listen, you would go close, winning the fight, leaving a portal there, join us on midfight since we can take them that long, 4vs5 is an advantage, then killing them and rotate the game out.
THIS was what the necro, ranger and me wanted to tell you in the first place after going afk, since you gave not a single f*** when telling you to leave far to help us.

Ok wow you got me to post here again. Maybe you will read it now:
First of all, you should edit the name out I remember that people say that it will be removed otherwise.
So first of all, me (the other mesmer) dont went close again after loosing it against the Warrior. (Thats the only blame i take on my side. But everyone fails from time to time.)
We went mid and We fought there and lost it. Why? because of your far-play we played there 4vs5.
The Mid-Fight:
Our Team: Necro, Ranger, Bunker Mes, Engi.
Their Team: Ele, Engi, Warrior, Necro, Mes (I dont know if the last one was a mesmer, but I think so)
After the first died (the nek), one of them went far (to fight you, where you still stayed without bothering we got bashed on mid) and we were still 3vs4. After seeing the second one dropping, I went away to recap close (freecap) and lost it there against the Engi and Warrior insta following me. So we lost Close again, mid also, you won your far fight and stayed there (with a useless portal in your skill bar) After the regroup we went over close to mid where you joined but immediatly left after noticing one of them went to YOUR far spot. We got close at this time.
So we lost again the mid fight because we cant kill anyone there. How should we, the necro was too focused to stay alive after they focused him, the ranger and me were trying to keep him and the engi alive, after the engi went yolo and tried to kill one of them… After the second and third got killed (I dont saw you, so I though you were dead or fighting on far, which was already decapped..) I went close, following the warrior who left mid because they won the midfight and I was the only one who still was alive. So why was I going close and not far to you? Because the necro already blamed you in mapchat and I hope you would listen, and our teammates would have the faster way to our close spot, also I wouldnt fail a second time against him and could hold him there, getting still points till my teammates show up and to kill him and going than with 5 people on the mid fight. Well, their Engi showed up, I was again fighting again 2vs1, got killed before our teammates showed up. (keep in mind i escaped midfight 1vs3 to follow the warrior) After that, it was like 300 to 70, you lost far too because they bashed you there. Three points for them, none for us. They went lord. Two of us (including me, went afk, trying to tell you what you did wrong. Then you whispered me, i tried to tell you again.
Then, I advised you to the forum, not that people can laugh at you (have the screenshot) in the hope the people here can explain to you why you should not go far in soloq with a portal on foefire in ruby/diamond, and trying to tell you that we needed your dmg there since we are too sustain and cant kill anything without a dmg specced mesmer like you.
Yea, maybe you will notice it now. Your team tried to tell you, I tried to tell you. No offense here, we just wanted to show you how bad the decision was, to go far.
But like I said, everyone fails from time to time in a game.

nerf shield.
echo of memory (shield 4) blocks once. always summons the phantasm when blocking an attack.
tides of time (shield 5) stuns on the outgoing wave and cripples (instead of stun) on the returning wave.inspiration
restorative illusions (master trait) either remove the healing or the condi cleanse. if you want to keep them both then half the healing and reduce the cleanse per shatter.
this trait is the main offender: with the amount of shatters chronos can cast due to signet and chrono traits you get way too much healing and cleanse out of this trait.disable continuum split for elites.
give moa a condi cleanse and a duration reduction to 6s. lower moa cooldown to 120.

I rarely comment these days in the forum, but this…. wow. How can I say this without sounding mean. Either your are not very skilled, or just mad.? Why not removing the class completley from the game? Moa is the only thing mesmers need a nerf. Everything else is fine. Instead of nerfing buff the core specc so that power will be available. No one will play Condi/Hybrid then.
Without Inspiration like it is, mesmer is food for every hybrid/condi class, lime before HoT. So whats the weakness of mesmer?
Mesmer is countered by DH very hard, even a good power warrior is dangerous now for a mesmer. (A good condi warrior will kill a mesmer anyway)
Every class with much CC and a good player behind will kill the mesmer. Shatter is dodgeable/blockable you guys now this, right?
I agree that mesmer is strong, but not op. There are other aspects in the game that should be nerfed/changed. Maybe make Continum Shift not for elites. That would be ok, too.
Much mesmer hate here. But yea, instead of playing with skilled mesmer and learning how to play against them, go ahead and cry for nerfes.
I see people with 10 stacks torment and/or confusion on them on moa and running away like a wild chicken. Lol? And then they complain mesmer is broken. Instead of standing right in front of the mesmer and not letting the condis melt them.

Hello, like the title explains, I got since HoT release ,(rarely before), only in WvW- and HoT Maps, game crashes. I am kicked out of the game after ~1 of playing, which is closed then and where I have the possibility to send the report.
I can play tPvP with Youtube in the backround for hours without any crash. How is this possible?
Would be thankful for every help I can get!
(In the past I played WoW, Teso Wildstar and SWtor without problems, even GW2 without problems before HoT hits… sure, sometimes more lags, sometimtes crashes, but not so predictable like now after the HoT release…)

The day they will become viable in some way we can discuss about the purpose of a low/non cooldown legend swap.
The subject was: Could a shorter legend swap compensate a non existent weapon swap. And my point is: In the current state of revenant it can’t.
And the day where they remove the Weapon Swap on revenant will never come, and thats good.
The class would be boring af without weapon swap.
Its good that they give revenants the weapon swap, dont know why people complain about that.
Dont feel bad scottb, too many guys here are too afraid that someone will show up with a build which is good and better than theirs.

So after failing so much again Anet, why the **** did you remove the Crusader Amulet? Anyone has an idea?
I think we shouold split it between for example:
Not two Engineers.
But 1 Scrapper and 1 Engineer.
That means ANet is forced to fix the Core Class..
But even the change 1 class per team would balance the game.
Found out that MA makes more Damage that PB overall.
The +CD on Powerblock is nice, those interrupts with damage on chaosstorm are funny too, but the burst of MA in combination with these blocks is more effective in teamfights, in my opinion.
Interesting would be the math about this..
The problem against PU is, that these guys outstealth you. If they use GS and you not (Sword MH and OH and Staff for me) then it can be really hard if they know what they do. Outrange and outstealth. In WvW I would just swap to GS and to PB, since a burst even without MA can easily burst a full glass mesmer Down.

Clone death traits were changed to be evadable (and then removed), so the same will happen to BD as well.

I am honestly curious why you chose inspiration over every other traitline.
Because if you play these line, some other traits really really get strong. You have an insane condition remove and heal. For example, Inspiration and Chaos. PU gets even stronger with this trait. Maybe I should call these traits by the name, not blaming the full traitline. That was fail.
Mesmer isnt OP. There is PU, which is OP, there is Conditions like Burning Stacks that are OP, there is the Inspiration traitline which is OP. These are the only things I would accept a nerf.
If you get easily killed against a shatter mesmer you should learn to dodge
It’s fun for you, and it’s nothing near fun for other people playing versus mesmer with 30% unjustified damage where you can to easily apply conditions and shatter damage on satter mesmer.. while not even geting punished for it. You just apply condis on poor thing, then hide, while the target trying to find you, specially melee will die jsut by standing, and even faster by searching for you.
PU mesmers is number one on my favourite nerf list.
Next one is new “EAZ PZ SHATTER THIS” build.. where requires to press 3 buttons very quickly to make 14k damage. This is not how it should be, every class has insane cast time to make this happend, and then execution, mesmer can deal that damage within 2 second time lapse from casting to damage done, which includes also walking to the target.2ND on my favourite list is shatter nerf which can deal 22k damage on target with 3,3k ARMOR and 26k HP. Is this single rotation justified ? No.
I’m not having desire to nerf anything to the ground, all i want is equal balance, and fair play. Both PU and shatter hit way to hard, and both are having little to no counter in 1v1 2v1, people say don’t exegerate but my friend yesterday outplayed 2v8, killed 3 and got away with Shatter mesmer, came back and killed the other 4 trying to ress those pore guys. Keep in mind they were all above silver, so those were not some bronze scrubs that just made virgin steps into WvW.
NOTE: some builds are out of place, some are very weak, and my desire is that every style should have a chance to be played, and at least little viable, and every build should have counter by every profession not just D/D ele.

Hmm. Fighted a lot S/D Thieves, I think they are too soft. I mean, Thief has 11k HP with Bersercer in tPvP. the Warlock hits multiple times for 7-9k (without sigills).

In PvP there is not really a need for Condition Remove, but for WvW I use [Mantra of Resolve], but I rarely roam solo. In a Smallscale Fight the Conditions arent that hard with Condition Reduce Buffood. Sure, if you eat too much conditions, its over, but every build has his weakness. If you dont want to play with [Mantra of Distraction] just use the Condi Remove Mantra if you feel safer with it. I will using it too when I roam solo and the Condi Meta hits the game. The Stuns you have with Shatter and Staff and Pistol will be enough.
The sigill unfortunately doenst stack, 55% stun duration would be awesome ^^

No, no, see it was 3 hours give or take, but still around the 3 hour mark. What Fay is saying is simply that we can’t yet judge things to be fantastic yet simply because we’re facing people who are both going through new changes themselves, thus not fully adjusted to their new builds, and also don’t have a clue what they’re facing or up against, AKA not Uber-Lockdown Mesmer.
While I agree Lockdown builds are now very impressive, Fay’s point stands in that saying that you’ve thoroughly tested a build within hours of the patch going live isn’t going to prove a lot until the dust has settled and the meta has adjusted.

This build may very well be decent, but give it a rest and actually test it before proclaiming it as the best thing since sliced bread.

So,
with the new Patch a lot changed. After making this Build, testing it and fighting with it against all classes and a lot of new builds, our Guild came to the conclusion that Thief is not a hardcounter anymore, and “Medi” Guard Builds have a really hard time when they face it.

Its a mix between Lockdown, Phantasm and Shatter. You have a lot of safeStomps. You have high Surviveability, many stuns, many conditions and boons AND: you can One-Hit every bersercer class when they fail (or when they do nohting)
Maybe Mesmer is now tpvp viable, because you bring a lot cc support for your group and really nice damage which is like the damage of shatter if played right.
The playstyle of this build is self-explaining for mesmers if you take a look of those traits. The Video hasnt a great Quality, I even had some lags when recording these fights. I uploaded the video for some people who wanted to see some Combos, hope the quality is enough for this.

Like Fay says, there is no class that kills me. Its the situation. If I cant kite, the medi guard is the class i do struggle most with, if there is enough room a good s/d thief will give me some trouble. Mostly running Phantasm or shatter, in group lockdown shatter or full lockdown.
So, I dont know. If i must say something , I struggle most against D/P thieves and Medi Guards
I win the most duells against thieves with PS Shatter. If they play D/P its a hard fight, but D/P is broken anyway. Lockdown is nice too or Hybrid Phantasm, but in my opinion nothing goes over PS Shatter when fighting non D/P
Its important to have Blink OR Decoy everytime ready. The good ones will probably wreck you if you have both on a long CD

I am a big staff fan. I dont play Often builds without staff.
I think for group roaming, staff/GS is better, but if you fight Mesmer vs Mesmer for example, the classic shatter should win. The stealth is just too good for an offensive using and a defensive using against Range shatter mesmer.
But, if you play ps shatter, so staff/sword pistol, played rigjt you kill most of the gs/sw t shatter builds.All in all, I would say it comes to personal playstyle, and who you are fighting against, so you cant say what is better. I think they are pretty balanced so there is no must to play.
I like the staff more, because of the nice burst the warlock has when he hits, the safe stomp, and the boons. I play GS/Staff in PvP and WvW, and I dont play with sword torch for a year and a half now.
The Staff/sword pistol is what I used to run and am looking to get back to it, but all the guides list just GS builds. After 2 years I am not sure I remember how to set it up the way that I used to. Are there any new links and/or guides for this?

Saying that something is meta, is meta these days. It becomes meta because every idiot plays meta today, and playing meta is meta. So why complaining about meta, when everyone who plays meta feels as a gw2 master, maybe we should just remove meta from this game. But can you remove meta in a game where the most people play meta? Hm, I think that doesnt work, because meta is now a part of gw2, and hating meta builds is just too meta, and without it gw2 wouldnt be gw2. So lets try to love meta. I know its hard, because flaming is meta, but we are strong because of meta builds.

Yea, sure witcher knows what he is talking about. But I love staff, near every build of mine is with staff and i beated most toptier mesmer players with it. So, for me its viable. For others too, but maybe for him not.
If you can play better with gs, why not using this. But if you can play better with staff, why not using staff. I think it comes to the player experience when you talk about two different weapons in the same build.
