Why is Windborne Speed's aoe so small?

240 radius. (Someone confirm this doesn’t change with blasting staff?)
I find if you aren’t running shoulder to shoulder with someone, they don’t get the speed buff. Isn’t it more standard to have a larger radius and a cap of 5 allies?

Ele change more than the patch notes show?

Maybe someone can lend me their experiences, but Monday I shared how I had to resort to using a staff because dagger/dagger/focus just was not viable in the level 50-70 personal story, but fighting in melchor’s leap yesterday was extremely (dare I say) fun, the mobs were constantly showing crit splats, and I didn’t down very easily.

I did start using Zephyr’s Boon and Renewing Stamina, which almost gives you on command Vigor, but I think the added swiftness moving in and out was what really helped. Was nice to feel fast. I also traded in all fire traits for an added arcane which allows me to choose blasting staff or windborne dagger. Blasting staff makes an ele so much more helpful in WvW.

Anyone else’s experience change over night, or since entering the level 70 zones? Could the difference just be the added 10 trait points, and unlocking grandmaster?

Arcane fury still bugged?

Arcane fury is only supposed to last 2 seconds, and it seems unaffected by boon duration, which is maybe a bug?

No role breakout for the ele

I would love dagger/dagger/focus to be viable in anything other than PVE, but it’s just not. I’ve even resigned to using a staff on the personal story ever since the first chapter with the undead hordes.

I was level 40 in ascalon catacombs, and I didn’t even see the hits coming as I slide in on burning speed just to be downed at the end.

So the early promises of playing my way are failing. I’ve traited all earth, and spread the rest evenly among the other lines. Maybe that’s not the best way to spend my trait points, but shouldn’t no matter how you spread out the points work somehow.

Do all you other eles just lay down and die to thieves? I gave one a good run, but he still got me, and I blasted cleansing fire, unsteady ground, ether renewal, armour of earth, still I was always suffering 3 conditions, and immobilize is the worst. I was heartbroken when that affected my Tornado.

How come now my armour carries about 20 condition damage each at level 70, why am I only seeing 57’s streaming out?
Any thoughts?

I have this problem too. Usually because of lots of sound effects. WvW, the ending of the Sunless dragon meta event. Always requires shutting down the game.

Volcanic Extraction NPCs die too easily

The personal story Volcanic Extraction was a real misery because the NPCs died so easily. I had to revive them 10 times from start to finish. As an ele, I was dropping healing rains and geysers but it didn’t seem to matter. Crablings; quite possibly earning the title of my least fav monster.

Racial and ranger overlap

I find a lot of the sylvari racial skills are ranger-esque.
Grasping vines < Muddy Terrain
Thorn Wolf like the Sylvan hound starting pet
Turret skills for this ranged class
Druid and Nature spirits

I’ll usually choose ranger skills over sylvari skills because of traits. What do you think? Ranger diversification of skills, or pale imitations?

Loud, annoying Underworld Portals

I play this great game with headphones usually, but when I came to Eldvin Monastery, I started hearing this noise like a light motor revving up. I thought it was outside it didn’t seem to fit the game and thought it would pass, but I was working my way through the area and Godslost so I had to listen to it for hours. It actually started to make me ill. It was of course the portals, because you would hear them whirr down when destroyed, but they pop up so frequently and numerously, the sound is always there.

Please turn down and shrink the range of this ambient noise. It has no place reaching to Eldvin.
