HI all, me and my friend recently started playing together, i always used Elementalist in pvp since day launch, and he loves Engineer.
So right now we want to create a perfect duo, our guild is almost only PVE, so we’ll join tournaments in 2.
Monday we did 7 tournaments, in temple of silent storm, just running in the enemy base and defending till the end, we won 6, so i think engi and ele make a good duo!

I want to ask to you guys: what classes make a “perfect duo” for roaming or defending?

for example: i once met a warrior/thief duo before the quickness nerf, they whiped out 3 guys in seconds!

i suggest to change the runes on the armor, i use 6 rune of the soldier because i have 2 shouts, but you should go for Lyssa, Divinity or Ogre

Knight stat armor is viable.
You say that you are primarily longbow, correct? (At the OP)
Then I suggest you run full Knight’s armor + Berserker Trinkets.
Omnomberry Bread + Master Maintenance Oil.
Trait at least 20 into defense and you’ll hit the sweet spot for armor, and you can trait the hammer which is just amazing for Zergs as well.

tried yesterday the last version of the build.
traits 0-10-0-30-30,
utilities: for great justice, shake it off, sigil of fury, sigil of rage
it works pretty awesome, right now i have soldier armor and berserk trinket.
the only question i have right now is, what do i use as second weapon?
i’ll use bow for 80% of the time, but simetime u really need to go melee, i find GS usefull for escape and follow, but not good in zergs

I have the Final Rest staff, best look staff ever!!

I think that on the end sigil of force is the best for warriors. I use bloodlust on my elementalist cause i almost never go down, cant say the same about my warrior

Meh not my cup of tea, I don’t like the gs in wvw, and I think maybe some disc traits would be nice for spamming the lb burst aoe & weapon swapping. Try it out tweak if you need too.

Yeah you are right! Now i changed tratits like this: 0-10-0-30-30
With the trait that burst cost less! It work good and i have +20% crit dmg!
About the GS, yeah i dont love it too, whats the best melee set up for zerg fight? I think hammer have a good aoe knockdown but maube is too suishy without balance stance and endure pain.

I like to play in the zerg, following a commander.
I never run as a solo roamer.
I play mainly ranged, mostly because i have some lag, so jump in the enemy zerg is 98% suicide.

BTW i usually create my own builds, for example i’m using a conjured weapon build on my ele, in spvp last time i used warrior i did some cool things with a “physical build” with kick, bolas and bull charge, but i started doing wvw 2 weeks ago, so i need a tip.

I have a level 80 elementalist as my main, and a level 80 warrior i leveld up just beceause i think heavy armors and greatswords look awesome, not to mention Charrs

Right now i have a problem with my warrior:
when i do SPVP i always use elementalist or mesmer, i used to love the 100b warrior but now that frenzy is useless my warrior never see the mists.
when i do Guild bounty i use the elementalist because i have 100% map completion.
i do fractals with elementalist cause is already at a high level.
so the problem is that right now i use my warrior only for dungeons, and i hate that because i really love this class.
the solution is: World Versus World!
I need your help to make a WvW build for my warrior, i’m not a solo roamer, i run with the zerg , and i have lag problems when we face a billion people in stonemist, so i think is pretty hard to run melee when you have 1 second lag.
Right now i’m using a Shout build, with GS and Rifle, but i think the best weapon in the zerg is a bow.
What’s your build for WvW?

i agree, i think Anet is doing the right things in 80% of the cases.
Let just admit this game is 70% PVE, 25% WvW, 5% PVP.
Almost no one do spvp a lot, just casual, so it’s normal that devs do not pay big attentions to the pvp comunity.
Btw right now i just feel that the only classes that should get changed (only talking about pvp) are ele and warrior. And i say that as an ele and warrior player

Hi all, i’m Italian (i speek english, at least i understand it ;P), my guild is 90% PVE, 9% wvw, and 1% spvp.
Since i do 90% spvp, i just want to find more people to play with.
I’m not hardcore and not a Pro, i just won some frees and paids.
In pvp i use elementalist (Hinoken), mesmer (Eugenio Del Male) and warrior (Wipper Dukot Quinto).
My Rank is 15.
I cant play every day cause i have 2 jobs. my Free time is in the week end (from 8pm to 12pm), Monday from 2pm to 12pm, and Thursday from 2pm to 7pm.
Anyone can invite me?
