See GW1 for how content will come about for GW2. Stop asking to pay more for games. Money doesn’t = good.
Plus GW2 is not anywhere near just about PvP…it has both PvP and PvE.
Yes, this is a huge problem with events. Mob tagging didn’t use to be so restrictive and you’d get credit just for damaging a mob. I often only get silver or bronze if more than 10 people are doing an event and I’m playing a non-aoe profession. Heaven help those that revive others or use support skills in large events…they get nothing but warm fuzzies for their efforts.
I really want my candy cane weaponry back!!
If you have not sent bug reports for these broken DEs they will not get fixed. Also, these issues should be posted in the bug section of the forums.
To send a bug report in game type /bug into the chat panel and fill out the form. Be detailed, and even attach a screenshot if it would help. Doing it from in game helps ANet because your world state is sent with the bug report telling them a lot of where you are, what you are doing and even what direction you are facing.
Bug it, or it won’t get fixed.
See this is the funny thing about lore…over time it changes. If ANet wanted to bring back dwarves, they could. They would just write them in. There is nothing in the lore that prevents them from bringing them back. The beauty of writing is that you can always write something new.
Agreed. I actually am seeing players not healing/reviving other players because they will get bronze if they do. This is counter to the design of GW2.
I actually would like ANet to look at fixing event zerging. The main issue is that I’ve gotten bronze on several events simply because there are SSSOOOOOO many people zerging the event that I can’t do enough damage fast enough for it to count.
Its so bad in some places (Queensdale Cave Troll) that I just pass on by if I see more than 10 people at an event. I’m pretty sure that is not the intended affect. Making the event “harder” is not the only solution. More events is what needs to happen. There are vast sections of land that have nothing but grinding mobs. Add more events.
Also, lets take the Kessex Hills bridge as an example. What is several centaur warlords were to show up if the player numbers were really large? What about another line of catapults hammering the players defending the bridge?
Anyway, I agree that most events in zones 1-25 will never get to the failed stages.

The polar bear’s F2 is really slow. It seems paired to the stand-up animation which seems to play in slow motion when F2 is hit.
As I see it, minion masters are currently not functioning as they should. Here’s what needs to be fixed:
Making these changes is not overpowered because the necro needs to choose the skills, sacrificing other utility skills to use minions. These changes just allows the player to play as a true MM, not some weakened kitten.
For a brief time during one of the beta events they didn’t degen health. They should just die in one hit, but remain at full health until then.
Also a while back, minions regenerated health when out of combat…they took that away as well.
True MM is impossible with the GW2 Necro.
The pet system is designed with switching in mind. Once you understand this is becomes a very powerful mechanic. Focusing on one pet is not how the system is designed.
You can tame as many pets as you can find and each pet type (cats, dogs, moas, etc) has different strengths and weaknesses. Bears for example are very tough and good for tanking while you shoot mobs at range. Spiders are great for AoE poison and laying down combo fields when you are playing with others.
While in combat, you are expected to be swapping your pets and there are even traits that give you boons when you swap pets.
Currently, naming pets works on the pet slot and not the individual pet, so you name pet slot 1 and pet slot 2, as well as aquatic pet 1 and aquatic pet 2. Switching out a named pet for a new one via the pet interface will reset this name to the default “juvenile” pet name.
The reason the game swaps out pets when you are down is that the game goes back to whatever pet is in slot 1.
You can find a lot of information here: http://www.guildwars2-pets.com/
Have fun!
This is actually not a bug, it is working as intended. It is not optimal, but to save the names of all of your pets (read: all of everyone’s pets) would require another large name database that ANet did not create. Currently the pet name feature saves the name in the slot, not the pet, so changing out the pet type resets the slot name.
Perhaps someday they will change this, but it is not a bug.
