Very nice fights tonight for us on AM and EB. It took us forever to get hills against a very nice defense. Wiped a couple of times but for the most part worked out better than expected.

The ranking will never have any significance without tournaments. Currently it requires the consent of two guilds to do a gvg and there is no reason to accept a challenge. You don’t want to fight – you don’t show up.
We had the problem that over 5 weeks we only found one opponent, despite asking every guild registered on the website or that we found ingame.
Also guilds change their leaders/members/composition quite frequently. Having all matches ever played under a tag taken into consideration won’t give information about the current strength of a guild. Just forget about the ranking, have fun and fight for glory!

Some very nice fights on Piken bl over the last few hours. Rather few blobs and mostly guilds running by themselves. We’re new here so forgive us if we don’t remember all the tags yet, but thanks to NEWS, ECL, IRAE, VOLT and others for the fights.

And of course GD. It was a shame we couldn’t really touch you tonight. Still, we tried our best. Thanks for the fair fights and not backstabbing us. Hope to see you again!

Dear Fort Ranik, what’s wrong? I was hoping for some nice blobs this week, but it seems almost impossible to get a decent fight outside of EB. Only small groups, ninjaing and arrow carts. Why don’t you form a nice zerg like everybody else? Good luck in the future anyhow!

After the extremely laggy reset it looked like a rather boring week, but it actually turned out to be enjoyable (and profitable).

The “certain event” was an open mic we decided upon almost a month ago. The first one in five month. See you on the other 6 days of the week were we raid alone.

Nobody here speaks for FURY. The members of the guild are free people (the last time i checked). If you want some official statement, talk to para or syndz. I’m sure they have some nice and comforting words for you that will make you feel all fuzzy inside.

In my humble opinion i don’t see the slightest difference between AG and any of the other servers. A million Ac’s, open field siege, corpsezerging blobs, their guilds hiding inside keeps and towers etc.
It’s a shame we missed TUP tonight, since they seem to be the only fun people and proper guild to fight there.

The problem is the population imbalance in this match. Since we got SM, there is a rather long queue for EB (without guilds). No one pushes on our borderlands. Of course there will be a couple of guild groups on your borderlands.
Since in this tier nobody got the coverage to really push on keeps during the rest of the day, most of the objectives are fully upgraded and sieged for primetime. This means long sieges that will attract numerous guilds/commanders.
It’s a vicious cycle of boredom that leads to blobbing.

It’s is the matchup itself that is at fault, since it is (scorewise) expected of GH to double the points of the other servers.

I guess you are talking about the bay fights where you half wiped us twice and then got trampled by, i believe, SOE and PRXM. Well, it happens.
Before this we listened to 80’s pop on our ts while at least i was getting hammered with cheap scotch. We spent 10 minutes dancing around a tree and veiling between trees in order to get WBC out of a tower. Just as we were debating the perks of ritual suicide compared to self mutilation, a golden sword appeared….

And i dare say it was the same situation for the other guilds that rushed to bay. There’s just not enough action due to low population and the match being a complete blowout.
At least i enjoy the good fights that we had and haven’t lost my respect for INC – quite on the contrary.

When we golem rushed three keeps at the reset without even seeing an enemy, it looked like a horribly boring week. It turned out to be the opposite – at least for EB. The zergs are big enough to make them entertaining, but stop short of skill lag.

Our raids are a lot larger than most of the guilds on wsr or bt. There are still a couple of them that try regardless. Thank you!

Thanks to INC for showing up this week (whatever your reasons for being here are). It’s always fun to fight you and we had a fair share of intense fights already. You really spiced up the matchup for us.

As i mentioned earlier this matchup was horrible. Theres no way denying it. Still, there were glorious (and profitable) moments as well. Like defending SM.

A free piece of advice: When someone sets up magic find banners, bonfire and stacks on a merchant next to the gate – chances are you won’t take SM that day.

My personal opinion:
This probably the most boring matchup i’ve been in. AS with their handholding, tier-3 sized zerg guilds is a wonderful example of what ruins wvw. I hope that we never meet again.

From the perspective of FURY:
Great fights, lot of fun, greatest respect etc.

Then open one – and talk about how amazing Fury is! I will cry myself to sleep tonight because of this severe lack of attention!

Thanks to DW for the gvg, i was very impressed how you adapted after the break! You showed some great ingenuity and we weren’t sure how to handle you in the last few rounds.
Thanks to INC for the gvg. The performance you put on in open wvw is incredible and i’m sure you pick up on the different pace of gvg in no time!

Thief is underpowered in pve, rather weak in spvp but overpowered for roaming in wvw. The main difference is time. You are forced to attack in spvp, whereas you have all the time in the world to kill other roamers in wvw without the same pressure to contribute.
I do believe that d/p needs to be slightly nerfed, by applying the damage of HS after the stealth is done and slightly increasing the initiative costs.
D/d was a straightforward deal: “Get the burst right or die”, with limited escape options. D/p isn’t harder to play but allows too mistakes.

You find open field fights all the time, the ac patch didn’t change much. At least in my experience the last two days were nothing but blobs and lag. There were no “good fights” to be had, unless you teamed up with other guilds or put your commander tag on. Nice to see that others enjoyed.

Yes, the game rewards bigger groups. We all now that and had enough time to accept it. The problem are the people. I don’t care much about pug zergs, but i simply don’t understand how guilds, that i personally regard very highly, keep running together even if they have more than enough people to have a proper event. If you get wiped by a zerg than try to think of different tactics etc. How will you ever improve or get a challenging fight if you constantly have more numbers than your opponents?
There is no shame in getting defeated by bigger numbers.

XxX don’t run more than 20. It’s a shame they moved back to Gandara since they seemed to be in great shape the last time i visited gunnars. They deserve a lot more attention.

You wiped us once in Bay. That was, i have to admit it, nicely played. We didn’t expect AS to be there in the first place.

I seriously don’t know where the other times should have happened. The fight at south camp was equal until you ported out (although distorted by the million people from each server).
Also laughing/waving/jumping is cute. But do you seriously expect us to push into a group of double our size that is waiting for us at a choke point?

As mentioned above: You are more than welcome to fight us at the windmill with equal numbers.

I’m a simple man. I like killing. I don’t care about attacking/defending keeps/points.

Would it be possible to simply copy+paste the area of the windmill and make it a custom arena? I’d even remove the windmill and warthogs and just take a piece of grass. Maybe some flowers.
Just take it, make it a gamemode of 1v1 up to 25v25. Nothing fancy, just ordinary violence.

Hi, i started an engi a few days ago after watching your videos. So far the only 1v1 i lost was to a mesmer that used a phantasmal build [+health/damage, survival utilities].
I always brought him to 10-20%, but at this point he had berserker/duelists out and stealthed away. Do you have any advice for how to fight this build?

Thanks to Yak for the fights against fury yesterday. The wipe on the way to the northern supply camp will hopefully teach our leader not to check the map while a bunch of big bad gandarans stalk them with bloodlust in their eyes!

Also a shoutout to tda for being constantly outnumbered and still trying to fight!

I don’t care about blobs. It was probably the same before the culling fix.

What annoys me is that a lot of very skilled guilds refuse to fight when they have slightly less or even numbers. If you have a group of 15 vs. 20 – then just try it. Death has barely any penalty attached to it.

To bb: Either you form a 60+ group or if it’s remotely equal numbers you run. Have some pride in your work. It’s only a game where death costs 1,33s. It’s embarrassing.
