After almost a year and completely find that GW2 had changed so much. I start to appreciate the effiency of the devs in GW2 in terms of speed of fixes, class balances and content. Yes, some stuffs are delayed but imagine ESO could not even fix guild bank and took weeks to fix gamebreaking exploits and still could not fix the problem. You wont see ppl working together for world events coz there are non.
My point is, be thankful to GW2 team for a good game with high replayability. I am enjoying the dungeons, pvp and world bosses. Thank you Anet, you guys are great.
Any guild want to gvg with us since theres nothing much for us to do during SEA time? Those “zomg me too leet, I beat 1000 SOR with 5” are welcome. We take 15 v 15 or 20 v 20.
SoR zerg more next time, can’t take the tower with relatively even numbers so you have to bring a whole map queue to take a paper tower against 15 defenders.
It is always cute when people flatter themselves and think they are more important than they really are. A more likely scenario is that bored groups are jumping at any hint of action because there is no one to fight.

I am totally sold. Regardless of what people QQ about SOR, last week’s fight showed that the EU, NA and SEA of SOR are most united since everyone fought hard kicking BG to 3rd place with a 10k lead. That says alot about SOR’s skill. Well, my point is people will always complain grapes are sour. Too bad you are the one complaining.
Tier 5 roaming squads of sbi and sos are definitely below to the standards i’m used to :C

I am currently running a variance of blackwater build on my mesmer focusing on condition using scepter/torch and sword/pistol. I am currently using pistol cd reduction but I somehow feel something is amiss without DE, just wanna seek your views on whether this is critical?
also, would it be better if i swap the 20 pts fron domination to illusion line giving up torch cd for confusion duration and phantasm recharge reduction?

Hi I change stats on my legendary alot and I noticed that there is a destroy option below select stats of the legendary weapon. It would be nice to have it remove since players can drag the item out of inventory to destroy it if they want to. Removing it will minimize of any mistake. Thx.
I started playing mmorpg in 2001, starting from darkage of camelot and had went through several big titles along the way, I have to say that GW2 is the only mmo, in my opinion, that is able to rival or surpass darkage of camelot in terms of pve, wvw, crafting and fun factor. The constant new events and also I can see fantastic ideas from the devs, eg. Ghostbuster-end boss ac2?

I’ve had so much fun squishing TC like a bug this week. The tears have been flowing, the jimmies have been rustling and despite TC’s dirty tricks, exploiting and general emote spamming they have rarely broken 150ppt. Thanks TC.

My my, sour grapes turned salty due to tears. I take that as a compliment stealth, if blobbing means my guys stick together (which is what I want them to do), then by all means call us a blob. Even though I did not say that we do not have enough coverage as what you said, I have to say we have good coverage from fellow SOR guilds.
So keep sticking together and stay united! Blobs!

Also Traejan, have you faced the JQ SEA 60-80man force hitting either BG or SOR nearly every SEA night since Jan/Feb 2013? That existed before either BG or SOR came up with the map blobs.
It’s equally hard, if not harder, to find TC roamers during the past few days as well. Half of them just run away when I wave, while the other half either die too soon or run into structures half-way through battle.
I guess roamers are now a rare species across all servers.
I blame the blob mentality SoR has:
1. Created in the T1 NA wvw meta game
2. Championed for more than half a year
..etc..
Fixed that for you..

ANet created the blob mentality and only strengthened its stranglehold with every subsequent patch. It was never one server championing the idea of it. Hopefully the new BLs will alleviate some of this play style…
I share your hope that one day the blobbing will end but let’s not try to re-write history here…
SoR created this tactic to stay competitive in T1 before the IRON/KISS EU transfers.
SoR continued this tactic once they had a large influx of players across multiple time zones and continue to map blob even now.
Every other server has had to do the same to compete and now the lag is pretty much unbearable.
created the tactic eh? I guess those PRX (hod) RUIN (et) map blobs didn’t really exist in t1 a year ago. I’m sure jq had some as well but can’t think of any of the guilds.

Thx all for the valuable insights. I think my problem lies on too little stun breakers as I was glamour specced. Blink and decoy seemed like a must have to stay alive.
I was running a glamour build 0 0 30 10 30 with blink, feedback and nullfield. Seems like its not too worth ir when a thief sticks on you.

I agree with serophous. The people that claimed that they want to do the event only ruin the farm and wait for peoples reaction and then uses remarks to make people furious. You cannot blame him if he really wants to do the event, in fact we should help him. But if such behaviour spans across 3 servers, the intention is questionable.
Well anet encourages team play and champs are meant to be farmed as stated whereas snowflake you profit from few clicks of a button. Both are totally different things, nothing to compare here. People work together, group up and kill stuff and also made friends regardless of servers.
The main source of conflict is that one group of people feel that it is an exploit for farming champs and failing the event while another group feel that it is fine to farm champs. Lets leave the cursing and attacks aside.
Dev response is very vague thus people are still going on and on. Can we have official clarification whether this is an exploit or not so that people will know whether or not they can continue to farm and maybe lessen the conflicts once its clearer. Everyone wants to enjoy the game but there will be people with other opinions.

Actually, most players on SoR I speak to hold both BG and JQ in high regards and respect the servers for what they are: WvW powerhouse servers.
If it feels like SoR is pushing JQ hard, it’s probably because of your top notch performance last week and they want to see where you’re really at in all respective timezones. Also, JQ does hold that #1 spot which everyone in this matchup is gunning for, so that could also be another reason why SoR might push JQ hard.
There’s a difference between pushing hard and sabotaging our PvE events. TW knows what I’m talking about.
We’re all for a good fight on the battlefield, but leave it there.
People get so angry when someone stops them from exploiting broken pve content. The entire in game economy is getting ruined by those exploiters in Orr. So sad.
I am sure this thread is about wvw, please keep pve and economy in pve section.
I don’t mind spending 4000 gems just to transfer my legendary weapons to another toon. I am sure alot of players would too. Or maybe a mystic forge receipe like new black lion item + 50 mystic coins + 50 skills points + legendary to make it account bound.
Well he did mention the word match up at first so it leads to this. People from 3 servers need to know. I dont think theres a BG, JQ and SOR pve section.
What people are doing , are grouping together to farm gear. Having fun together. By failing an event to farm mobs do not constitute exploiting and nowhere in this thread did it mention anything like that.
It is correct that what they did was to finish the event it was supposed to be, coupled with uncalled for remarks that indicates intention to make people angry, would more likely be going towards the direction of griefing. Everyone knows what are the true intentions of going from SOR to JQ to BG and repeating such behaviours means.
Hi my wife and I wants to buy the items that we missed from black lion trading however I would like to know whether the items going to be released progressively or we can buy everything on the first day since we be going on a holiday.
In a guild mission, especially in big guilds, there will always be members with clicky fingers and start the guild mission before everyone arrives. Thus, this could potentially cause guild drama, quarrel and fights unnecessarily. It would be extremely helpful if the guild mission activation and starting be restricted only to officers and not any members. An alternative solution would be a message stating who activated or started the mission be seen in the guild log so appropriate advice, counselling or action could be given. Thank you.
Thanks for the constructive opinions guys, I play my mesmer since beta and I have to admit too much nerfbat kinda kittens me. I do have a thief and warrior but I still like my mesmer. Lets see what good builds the rest of the fellow mesmers can come up with. I used to be a glamor mesmer but I switched to hybrid for guild wvw.
Yes i dun understand why clones and phantasms so unbelievably underpowered in wvw. In tpvp I understand, at most you fight 5 ppl. In wvw, the clones or phantasms seriously is like water bubble, not even a balloon.
Have anyone played the mesmer class in wvw before implementing the changes? Mesmer is next to useless in wvw zerg situation since the glamor nerf. Now even more so with blurred frenzy change, mesmer having hard time surviving. 99% of the time I summon an illusion it will die in 0.0001 secs, how exactly Anet want us to play?? You buff necros and engineers to the top and nerf mesmers to oblivion, I dont see balance here. No point even going shatter spec if you gave nothing to shatter either.
Glam mesmers have very bad survivability. All you can do is run and enemy will cripple, immobilize and kill you. Nerf those so that mesmer can run away easily? No it is not going to work. The mesmer chose to give up survival skills for other options. Same applies for confusion. Imho, warriors and necros coordinated chain fearing is far more dangerous and no, do not nerf, people just need to learn how to attempt to stay alive. It gives you adrenaline rush and excitement when you are thinking of how to get out of that situation when you have no control of your toon.
