It looks like a small scale group-oriented glass-canon ranged damage dealer. And due to that, it will be deleted by D/P Daredevils. So we’ll probably see the same amount of these solo-roaming as we currently see of vanilla Thief.
i plan on using D/P rifle and with these traits increasing the damage by at least 50% and with great access to invis with rifle ur daredevil dp thief will die very easy

i dont want 2 say but im winning fights so 11 more pips and becz im on the near last chests im getting 1g a fight and ill get 15g in 3 more fights
i will say this tho i have made 100g just from pvp becz of gaining 11 pips every game

ok let me start of by saying i dont think im legendary rank like i was last season and the season before with these new changes i would say i should be around low to mid gold (start) but really i was placed in low bronze? i lost my 1st 5 games because i was teamed up with the worst players like staff eles and summon weapon guards. im now on 29 wins 12 losses and already on the amaranth reward chest so take away my 1st 10 games im on 19wins/7loss and only just getting into gold :/ and i see people in platinum who are on 8win/8loss

i wouldn’t feel so bad if the seasonal item was a special one or maybe even if u got 5 of the bags or somthing but like people have said above and on the reddit i played 1 pvp match and got 23 trick or treat bags lol so why the hell should i spend real money on that?
putting it simply now your only ever get 2 items from keys and one trash item (trick or treat bag) and yah i must have missed the rare rng chance 2 get a 3rd item
1st off ill say that the preview changes i like i would advise making the button a little easier to find tho
now the bad stuff each key gives you 3 items max (10 keys i only got 3 items each) and 1 of those slot is always taken up by event an item atm your get 1 basic trick or treat bag yes thats right 1 of the 5s bags that u can get from daily (or just farm them). the new account unlocks could be amazing at end game if u have everything unlocked but i just got a green chest piece i could have got for 3s
i brought 10 keys this is what i got
at best i got 1 (5s) trick or treat bag, 1 scrap and 1 bank access
at worse i got 1 (5s) trick or treat bag, 1 tome of knowledge (i already have 750 of) and black lion trading merchant
in the end i got 10 (5s) trick or treat bag, 4 tome of knowledge, 2 account unlocks, 4 scraps and the rest was filled with black lion trash items :/
but noted ill pass the message on to turn all graphics settings to lego
I guess you could try beating up any guys in suits and shades. Alternatively, set your animations to medium and see if that is any better. (They are working on a fix.)
but how will i beat them if animation are set to min i wont be able to see their fist coming my ownly solution is to go in deeper and see if i can get the fabled 3 error loop where i can have an error message about my error message which says that my 1st error message is about my 3rd error message
ERRORCEPTION
was in wvw i got an error message but the game didnt actually crash so i kept playing but it kept tabbing me to the error window so i closed the error window and then my game crashed. it get better i then log in again and i get an error message but i cant close that error message becz i got an error message about my 1st error message which in turn kept tabbing me out of game even tho it didnt crash im in a error loop
also its not just me 2 of my guildys are also in the error matrix we are still w8ing on our choice of blue or red pill
update *DO NOT hunt for the 3rd error message its so legendary that once i had 3 error windows up while still playing wvw that my pc noped and ault F4 life
Edit 2 after some testing you can stop the bug from happening if you turn to potato graphics mode i mean turn it alllllll down. and after some testing it seams when ever a player wearing the executioner outfit model loads your get the error message meaning aslong as you dont look at them your safe

Call me jaded, cynical whatever but the previous meta sans WvW (which will always be an impossible task to balance due to numbers) was the most healthy meta most gamemodes had seen. Sure some classes were under-performing but that is no cause for sweeping nerfs to how the game functions as a whole.
I definitely agree. The meta for PvE was in a good spot, there were tons of solid build choices which while not necessarily being optimal were still doing well enough to be picked regardless and it would’ve been easy enough to expand on. Instead, they decided to trash everything, gutting diversity in the process. Gonna be a few really unfun months, hopefully they’ll fix this mess in the next patch as I’m assuming they’d prefer to see how this plays out now and are not going to make any major changes, even though it would be necessary.
100% agree i think the pre patch balance was one of the best all round for pvp and pve every classes had a job it could do but now we are forced to over stack on some classes and leave some out
actually i have played all classes in all game modes im part of a 9 man raid selling team i used to play academy gaming tournaments in pvp and now the only game mode i play is wvw. and true viable and optimal are different but in raids if for some reason we lfg and u can only play rev we will ask you to the leave thats a fact so its not viable anymore becz it wont just be us doing that. and in pvp rev was already hurting just becz of how predictable the classes auto procs and utilities are. to get a easy rev kill 1st burst and w8 for bubble, then burst and w8 for glint heal (do no damage at all so they dont heal just run away is best) then burst and dead and with shiro heal nerf rev v thief is RIP for rev

They easily could’ve added a dps elite spec that is on par with other dps classes come next expansion and left chronomancer alone as a pure, great support spec for those of us who enjoy that more than “MAX DEEPZ”. Instead of neutering it.
agreed thats why i like playing my druid in raids over my ele sometimes becz its nice to just be the supporter and not worry about DEEEEEEPPPZZ. but ill say this the damage now for mes still isnt that great thief or ele still out performs it and the fact to get good boon duration u now have piano rotations and have to run full commanders
I can definitely see an increase in viability for mesmers – not as support, but as a dps class. I’ve been furious at how little damage the mesmer actually does, but they fixed a lot of it’s problems in this patch. What you’re saying makes me think that you don’t play mesmer as a main.
-They’re most definitely still viable in fractals.
-They will still be sought after in raids because they can tank and provide enough boons.
-They’re still viable in WvW. Every class is viable in this game mode where you run around in a massive zerg.As a revenant, I do think they basically killed off a significant portion of what the class had to offer. Maybe Anet didn’t intend the class to be a boon-hoarder shrug. I’m not too happy with the changes they made to this class, but we’ll see where it goes from here.
I can’t speak for necros, as I’ve never played one.
true fractals they still work but ur still take a necro over it and raids its more iffy but i do agree people will probs force themself to run 2 of them just becz their will be no other way to get the quickness becz guards just dont pump out enough. wvw tho (in gvg) i think ur see a little less play with them as u can no longer play the cheese rev mes perma quickness set up. i think all in all i feel sorry for necro and rev but mainly rev as i see nowhere for them anymore
what anet wanted to do was balance wvw and yes mes+rev Guild groups needed looking at but they did not need such a heavy handed approach what anet did was damage these classes viability in most other game modes and in some cases deleted them
lets start off
Necro
the minion changes had nothing to do with wvw becz minions+wvw=laughable it was all about fractals which i kinda understand 4 mm necros 1 druid = facerole so what did anet do?
they made it so the minons die after 30s :/ with no health degen which means you dont need a druid healer anymore so what do u do? yep you take 5 necros now = still face role
what anet should have done was ad a minion cap of lets say 10 and kept the degen so u need to heal them and then add a mist lock that stop all heals to allys on some lvls this would mix it up and make people switch class
end result necro viability
- pvp no change
- wvw no change
- fractals more viable you need 5
- raids not viable other than matthias
Mesmer
mes was the back bone to all groups giving you the boons u needed to max your partys dps. its dps in 1v1 was quite nice but in blob fights or raids its probs one of the lowest so was solely used for the support
what anet did was for all intents and purposes decrease its boons capabilities by 50% this was way to drastic a mes can now only support 5 party members not 10 so to compensate in raids you probs go for a mirror comp with 2 mes in commanders gear but then ur lossing on dps.
end result Mesmer viability
- pvp no change
- wvw less viable but vail will always be needed
- fractals not viable
- raids ever go with 2 or none
Revenant
rev was always used for its boon increasing capabilities you would combine it with mes to give all the boons you and your team would need in wvw and raids. if you hurt one you hurt the other
what anet did was decrease Naturalistic Resonance from 50% to 33% combine that with mes nerfs =rip rev why you ask? becz you can supplement the boon duration with commanders gear on your mes so no need for rev, other classes do better direct damage , condi damage and cc. but it gets worse for rev the above only effect wvw and raids mainly but changes to Enchanted Daggers with no bass increase of the heal also damaged it in pvp where it was only just in top meta
end result Revenant viability
- pvp hurt but how badly a new season will tell
- wvw not viable other classes do the job better
- fractals not viable
- raids not viable at all and your have no room anyway as your need the spot for the second mes
First one to spell out a naughty word with cannons wins a prize.

but honestly cannons in field that can rotate are just way to op maybe if they can only shoot in a cone or something. or increase cool down of skills

i need to ask this will you be re balancing raids to make up for the dps loss or will we just have to run 8 eles 2 druids?
There’s almost no DPS loss, just a lot less classes that actually get to join. 5/5 mirror comp is already pretty decent and will stay that way. Rev just gets deleted and druid put into a healing only role (because obvs druid rly needed their 2 fun builds nerfed for whatever reason).
yep it really will delete rev as their will be no room for it as ur need that second mes for the same quickness up time but then ur losing out on damage becz mes damage is trash so more eles needed. i already main zealots druid/ele/thief in raids so im not hit that hard by this but my friend only plays rev so he will probs have 2 switch class or risk being dropped from weekly raids

as a player who only plays WVW and Raids this has 2 be the worst thing ive read i understand why in wvw their is a team comp using revs and mes to give ur squad every boon perma ok i understand but and this is a big BUT u have just deleted mes and rev from raids mes damage is equal to trying to kill someone only using angry thoughts and revs not much better their in the squad for one reason their team support which u just removed
my solution split pve/raids and wvw just like you did for pvp or risk having ur lfg filled with insta kicks for somone not running ele, necro, druid

my point is theirs players online but im not aloud to fight them becz ever im to high a rank or 2 low a rank :/. anet should set it that once the numbers drop this low it should start looking at other ranks to fill the gaps
why does everyone keep saying it was 5/6 in the morning ive been playing this game since beta and yes i know the ques will be long but i have never seen it this bad. the fact their was close to 50 other people in the same lobby as me w8ing for ques is silly. and from just where i was stood i counted 4 legendary 7 rubys and 8 diamond but nope no mixed ques you just have 2 w8 till more diamond players come online
2 games of ruffle stomp proportion becz of missing player with triple cap from the start of the game so they probs didn’t last more than 5 mins and I know for a fact I was in one question for 20 mins. I think that’s what bugged me more becz it was 1 hour for 2 wasted games and one full 15 mins game. I am diamond and I’ll gladly fight legendary if it would shorten my que times
the thing that made it worse was that the league above us had the same problem and same for below we all would have gladly had ruby diamond and legendary fight each other if it just meant we could have some games. i counted 8 diamond 7 ruby 4 legendary in the map i was in
ive been playing the game strait since beta (around the same times of day) and yes i expect que times to be longer but like i said 3 games in an hour is way way way 2 long if u think its ok to see the clock at 15 mins and talking in map chat with 8 other players who are in the same que as u is ok then good for u. no jokes we where all like ooooo que pop but then someone didnt ready up and its back to a 10 mins que

ive just spent the last hour trying to play games i managed 2 get 3 games average que time 10 mins (i dropped que and restarted at 10 min mark) i had 1 game where the other side had a afk from the start and 1 game where my side had an afk. every single game same 8 players even got chatting to them in the mist map chat.
please anet let use fight a league above and below so atleast i can get some games in becz right now theirs just no points if its just me myself and i queing

burn shot applying around the same amount of damage as the normal damage shot and instead of cc have it remove boons
heal shot should have a big cooldown. and have a effect like healing rain removing condis, giving regen and being a blast field as well as giving a boon that helps you revive downed allys. this should not be spammable and should not heal that much or your never get a tank of point, it should just be used to buy extra time if u have 2 players v 3 on mid

i would say cut around 1-2 seconds off the rotation speed nothing massive

i play a full zerk war pure glass and i have to do 2 full damage rotations to take out a treb so yah i would say cut around 30% of its hp. condi/zerk should destroy at the same speed
and finaly i think if your going to make the treb a little more useful as a mechanic you should look at how their repaired becz atm mes is treb king. maybe have it so you dont need a repair kit anymore but the trebs can only be repaired at specific times lets say 5 mins after its destroyed. or have a node you have to fight for to get supplys to repair them

looks like the archdiviner is now a rev instead of having him fight players would have been cool to have him fight pre rev worrier rytlock. even if their will be no law but rytlock did go into the mist and come out a rev and wheres fracs bassed? the mists.The fractals aren’t based in the Mists. We travel to them through the Mists, but they are fragments of time and space, which again, we travel to through the mists. EVEN then, if they were based in the Mists, it still wouldn’t properly explain how the Archdiviner got Revenant skills.
In fact, I find it rather confusing considering, if the fractals are fragments of time and space, and when we replay them we replay events that have already happened in the past, present or future, why have they been altered in this way? Also, since the Cliffside fractal is based on past events (way before GW1 Searing, with the Titans), and the Archdiviner now has Revenant skills, wouldn’t that have present-day implications?
If not, and fractals are isolated fragments of reality, it would still need some sort of narrative explanation to such an anomaly.
very true i know this but i think it would have been a very cheap and easy way to make some sorta law about rev even if its not cannon and it would have at least stoked some coals for the hype train. because atm the law is rev just happened, everyone learned how to do it, the end

Agreed the off hand change could be to strong but I do like the signet idea maybe rework it a little maybe instead of the kittens with 15% increases to damage it just makes kittens inblockable I like this becz I always carry signet of agility on my bar and I would gladly switch it out if their where going to lots of blocks giving me a choice more evades or getting my damage down
Thanks and agreed the bass war is what needs a fix but I thought something like this that in the realms of possibility would be a step in the right direction and yah maybe if the burn was a little less maybe 1 stack per imob? Or maybe have a aoe mechanic to it like sigil of fire but does burn just around the area of impact

i miss the good old hambow days and yep i just added 3 more shock wave to make it easier to aim (now 360) and a little burn for spice (the burn will only effect those that are immobilized)

thief is meant to be single target precision hitter but this is massively negated by the amount of blocks flying around Revs Crystal hibernation for example is on a 25s cooldown and can be traited so it passively procs and most of the time you just have to sit their wait for them to heal up so you can start over again

I agree completely that they have enough money to fix these problems but they dont the bunny ears idea I stole from a post with over 1k upvotes and was posted years ago and their was not even a single response to that from the devs. No support for wvw for 3 years leaves me to believe that they wont ever change these problems unless they get something out of it. Becz at this rate in a cupple of months time we will get an out of the blue balance pass with no thought put in still nothing for wvw and no real pve changes and the gem store full with more stuff that people dont want
