to all the people whining about 1200 range being “lost”… did anyone here honestly use cluster bomb at max range?
Yes CB at 1200 wasn’t that great but it was nice to have the option to stay back at attacking if you went to sure about going in closer.
bleh Rifle? I want an Arbalest for 1200 range please.
EDIT: Reason being, you can’t effectively stay in stealth with a Rifle — too noisy.
Considering the Thief can use magic to stealth (yes they use magic!), i assume they can muffle sound too.

That doesn’t see like a good idea when you taking down a gate in WvW or there is a mass of AoEs around your target.
So we are now the only class in this game who can’t get 1200 range (including traits) due to the recent nerf to cluster-bomb making it 900 range.
So I thought we could post idea’s how ANet could give 1200 range back, also feel free to say if you don’t think we should have it back, but if you do post why.
So here are my 3 ideas.
#1: Rifle
This is the one I see a lot of people want on the Thief, mainly because they want to have a sniper type of weapon. Now I’m not really good at making us skills but if you are feel free to make a skill set and some traits to go with it. This is probable the least ideal of my ideas because it could take some time to create the skill, traits and balancing.
#2: Short bow
Well they must of taken it off cluster-bomb for a reason (I guess they think it was too strong) so I’m not going to say revert the nerf but put 1200 range onto the auto attack of the SB to compensate. Though it isn’t much of a problem with the short bow because its a very mobile weapon thanks to infiltrator arrow allowing you to get into range.
#3: Pistols/Ricochet
The main reason I want pistols to have the range is because of dual pistols being a bit meh right now(how many people do you see using them?!). So my idea was to make the trait Ricochet to also increase the range of pistols. Now you may be wondering why put it on the trait and not just up there normal range to 1200, well D/P, S/P, and P/D are quite mobile already with skills 2 and 3 on D/P and skill 2 on S/P allowing you to get up close and skill 3 on P/D to get you away. Since Ricochet wouldn’t be as viable on these sets people will most likely want to use Dual Pistols as there 1200 ranged weapon meaning both P/P and Ricochet would see more use.
TL;DR post ideas who to give Thief 1200 range again.

I’ve been busy the last few weeks and haven’t been able to play, I was wondering if the instance is still available to do and if there is any other stuff that is still able to do? Or has it ended and a now its just getting ready for the next living story?

For me it just seems to be the class I’m playing, I mainly play guardian but when I’m bored I play a BS thief for fun (in no way am i good at it) people tend to get mad at me, one guy got so mad he changed to his guard and killed me and taunted me then decided to stand next to his mesmer guildy telling me to come fight him. It’s fun tho so I don’t mind.
pretty hard to do tho, not the reflecting… finding a mes with a scepter
The colours are mainly blue’s and purple’s you can see a few of them on the gem store in game (the page when you first open it up and it’s showing the new items)
I would post pics of it if i hadn’t of used my TMK on my sylvari that i got to fix the glow bug (thanks Anet BTW)
The only way that I know of is by reflecting the last hit of the mesmers scepter auto attack, it makes a clone of the one who reflected it instead of the mes. It was pretty funny and confusing when I first did it on my Warrior.
They reduced the boons duration of SY from 10 to about 5 in pvp, I cant remember if any other skills where changed.

and the fact that it pulls to the center of the line and not towards the mes can make it a bit hard to use
First off I might be wrong with the numbers
The skill pulls at about 500-600 range around the line and the skill can be placed 900 away from the mes so that’s like 1400-1500 range which is more than other pulls but it only pulls people about 400ish unlike other pulls which pull you to the user.

Yes you can, I’m rank 30 and have gotten a few of them from gold wolf chests
I thought it would of been a better idea if Anet just uped the 7 day wait (2 weeks or maybe even a month between transfers) and made it if you wanted to transfer again before the wait was over you had to pay the £17.
I had a fight with one today and he kittened me up, whats the build for it. I want to test it on my ranger to see how it works.

Stupid question most likely, but what do you need to craft the Quaggan mini I know you need 3 Minis from the presents and what else?
7 of the 8 classes have ways to gain stability (not including elites)
5 of the 8 have ways to take no dmg
5 of the the 8 classes can Haste stop (All classes can get haste from a mesmer)
only 3 classes i can think off that can rip boons (thief, necro and mesmer) I dont know if others have it
EVERY class has a way to secure a stop
If you had it your way every class should get a boon rip for stability stomps and invul and stealth shouldn’t be able to stomp
Not all classes can go invul while stomping Flump. I’m not saying remove stealth but maybe disallow it from finishing players?
I never said all classes could go invul i said they all can secure a stomp Via Stability, invul or blinds. Warriors can pop balanced stance and endure pain, ranges can make there pets take all dmg and can use stability, mesmers have distortion, engis have that one that makes then shrink and invul, gaurdians have stablity, Necro has the least with just the 3 sec stability from DS if traited and maybe some blinds.
all classes can have ways to secure a stomp, Stopping stomps from stealth and invuls take it off stability as well to make it fair, making the only wait to secure would be blinds and teleports.

Why are only Thieves and Eles mentioned? All classes can get stability and others like engie and mesmers can become invulnerable too, pretty much every class has a way to secure a stomp, not just ele and thief.

If I understand correctly the events on Friday and Saturday continues throughout the day and the one on Sunday is a one time event.
