What about if the guild leader doesn’t want the hat but rather have one or more officers have it? Also, a guild can have more than one blue dorito. This is a “solution” for a problem that don’t exists.

This was an overly stupid thing to do, but, can’t you use your “free” account restore?

I gave it to my warrior and sometimes I regret it, a commander above all things, needs mobility, so a Thief or an Ele would be the perfect commander. However, as a warrior I can out-survive any thief or ele so I’m on the fence.

They are not dead, they are downed. Huge difference.

How about a system that once you die it kicks the person out of WvW? Or better yet! It restarts the client! Would that be more acceptable for you?

this Sunday Morning I was at TP buying some stuff and then in general chat I saw a message that the people in WvWvW calling for help because our ‘sss is kicked’….

I sPvP/tPvPed a lot in GW2 but while my Staff Ele was only lvl 33, I tought i was not ready and I never tried the WvWvW……well I said whatever I will try to give a hand, may be I can do something usefull with my Staff Ele…..

I got the best gear for my lvl, lvl 33 Masterworks, with Toughness/Vitality for armors, Power Healing for the Staff and Power/Crit Damage for Trinkets……

Now finally we are at the keep and the Zerg is there and I go to the wall and drop Meteor Shower and guess what I got a wooping 300 normal hits and 600 crit hits with my MS…..and this is with best available gear for ele in lvl 33….

Then I check the stat sheet to see how the game upscaled me, I see that I got 2000 attack, from my PVP experience, I know that is not crazy number but hitting with 300 damage per strike with MS!!!!!!

Is this normal or the upscaling messes with me? Or a better question does it make any sense to join WvWvW under Lvl 80 char?

Not sure about the stats as I never paid any attention, however it’s perfectly fine to enter WvW with low level characters. In fact I leveled my Warrior from 1 all the way to 80 exclusively with WvW. It was painful at first, but at the time there was a lot of zerging on CD so it was relatively easy to hide inside the mass of people and collect karma/experience. It’s a nice and fast way to level up, given that the zerg keeps capping towers and camps

Oh by all means, let’s change one of the MAIN core mechanics of the game just because some noob can’t properly kill someone, or keep him from reviving. If you want solo combat go to sPVP, WvW is a large scale combat area, if you don’t like that, then leave.

Shouldn’t had moved to a big server if you wanted to avoid queues. There are no queues at all on CD.

Fun is a very subjective thing, what some people find fun, others might hate. If you hate something, then stop doing it, is not that hard. Anet keeps metrics of everything in the game so I’m sure that if enough people stop doing dailies they will modify them again.

And forums are not an accurate measurement of how a particular feature is working because usually only a vocal minority posts, the rest are most probably enjoying the game and not bothering with it.

Go farm CoF like everybody else and you can pretty much get that gold to buy gems in less than a day. They gave you a month to move, missed the window, though luck.

Because that’s the way Anet want it’s to be, otherwise it would be different. Also being a commander is not an exclusive thing for WvW, it is overly useful outside of it too.

Why stop at it, get rid of Trebs, they are boring! Get rid of catapults too! Hell! Get rid of Dolyaks and have the supply to spawn at towers every 30 seconds so we dont have to wait to upgrade something! OH WAIT! GET RID OF UPGRADES! Make everything instantly upgrade!

If you got a bunch of guilds from CD, good luck getting commanders to communicate, they pretty much do their own thing.

Tell the commander to roll an ele and do it himself. Lead by example, right?

Once more, CD has experienced it worse exodus of guids since the launch of the games.
We have lost the following guild LW, KH, LaZy, RISE,, GoF, KO, TG (NA side) and Val, Edmw (Oceanic side) to xfer as such WvW coverage has been significantly reduce allowing Kaineng to turn most of the WvW map blue. It is demoralising in a way, but EsF will still continue to field our numbers during formal wvw days.

To all our fellow ex comrade in arms, I salute you for without you guys wvw would not have been successful in all our past tier matchup. To all servers who have recruit them you have definitely an advantage.

So in the spirit of wvw, We EsF will continue to fight on. Win or loss let have fun in wvw

WvW should be interesting these next couple weeks and months. I’m actually looking forward the challenge of rebuilding almost from scratch!

You guys worry too much about something that doesn’t matter. Everyone is replaceable, more guilds will step up and take your place/fill in the gaps. CD is a big server with plenty of people willing to contribute.

I always found server hopping to be funny, even more so now. Is not like you get anything for “winning”. Seems like these past week has been full of drama on Crystal Desert, good thing I decided to farm Arah tokens! But Ill be back to WvW next week and I’m sure all will be fine, just as always.

Ugh, we are up with these two servers again, time for a break from WvW. :/

Oh I also believe that we are doing great, and that is mostly in part because players know what to do and communicate effectively. I’m having lots of fun and that’s all that matters, at least to me.

The best thing I’ve seen so far was the truce with FA on the JP, I I got kinda sad when they killed me today when I tried to enter, lol.

Flipping SMC a couple times and holding it for several hours was fun, however most of NA either abandoned ship or decided not to play this weekend, which is funny considering that most people were claiming last week that we were ready to fight TC again, we’re not.

I had the unmanned boon for most of the day, that’s something I haven’t seen in weeks. But all in all, it was fun!

Most people I see (when I play, mostly at US central night) are traitted to fight in groups, not 1v1. Another impressive thing that I’ve seen in the past couple weeks is that we have commanderless zergs that know what to do and communicate properly.

CD has flaws, yes, but it has plenty of skillful communicative, and competent players. Like all servers, I assume.

This would be amazing as I normally try to complete the daily with just WvW (but usually fall short on the creatures to kill so I’m forced to go elsewhere). However, this might prove problematic for servers that took over everything on all borderlands/EB.

Never had and never will, I love WvW and I’ve been on CD since the pre-launch but I just don’t care about being loyal to a server, or whatever.

Hasn’t been boring the last two weeks. Maybe we have more players at certain times, but Maguma and Ebay are strong servers and fun to fight against.

Last week was amazing! But maybe it was because yesterday was Sunday (which doesn’t makes any sense) , it seems Mag and EBay just gave up. And I wouldn’t blame them with the rampant spawn killing that was happening yesterday. I guess this week will just be jumping puzzle for me until the reset.

Winning is as boring as being steamrolled. I rather have some healthy competition. I wish the “undermanned” boon gave something more than extra experience/karma, something like cheap siege or extra damage, the gates get automatically reinforced until more people come in. But I can see how either of that things can be exploited.

F12 → change character should be more efficient than alt-f4…., but both are completely dumb. But I don’t think there’s anything Anet can do about it, whoever is willing to go through something so tedious to avoid a kill could also just exit through the task manager.

Also I think Alt-F4 is a Windows command so the game might not be able to bypass it.

Agreed first and foremost. I don’t agree that that another player from CD should not bash on a commander from his server especially. If you dislike him just don’t follow him and ignore, don’t publicly bash him, it makes you look really bad. If people follow him they must either (a) be having fun, or (b) doing a good job.

U r 2 srs here. Commanders don’t earn this place on the field by experience. They just buy an icon. I don’t think anyone cares or looks down at another server that openly flogs a bad commander.

Yes they buy their icons, but people should know by know who is a good commander and who is bad. Choose accordingly unless he is your only commander in your server.

My argument good sir was don’t publicly attack someone, for (a) its against ToS, (b) its makes you look bad, © people judge commanders too harshly when all they want to do is enjoy a game. So maybe it’s you guys who are taking this game too seriously, Zheen obviously just wants to enjoy the game, if you aren’t enjoying this game for whatever reason I feel sorry for you.

I agree to a point, if a commander is doing something questionable, like spawn killing, I will call it out and discourage it the best way I can. We are supposed to be better than that. If you are a commander and you’re going to spawn camp, at least take your icon off.

Personally I have no beef with CD. They have a much bigger Oceanic presence than Maguuma + Ehmry combined. Good for them, though I’ll be happy to see the backside of them. Logging in every day to see the entire map owned by one team is never going to be very fun. I hope Fort Aspenwood is just more on our level in terms of nighttime presence.

You really can’t avoid the “mindless zerg” accusations when one team shows up with 50 players to the enemy’s 5. Even if they aren’t a mindless zerg, there’s no way to prove it!

Really I just wish Arenanet would lock down transfers so we could get more balanced fights. I imagine Crystal Desert probably was tier 4 material before they got an influx of players. Now they are at least tier 3 material but we’ve had to put up with the population imbalance for 2 weeks while the ranks adjust themselves.

Don’t let the current numbers fool you, CD is NOT T3 material. We’ve been in this same spot several times already, and whenever we climb one tier everyone realizes where we belong. To be on T3 is required to have presence on all 3 borderlands, plus on EB, currently we hold the CD borderlands, and EB but we fall short on the other two borderlands, and the reason for that is that we don’t have the population/interest to fight on the other borderlands (Frankly, I hate the level design of the borderlands and avoid them like the plague).

Last time we fought against Yak and TC they took advantage of this and even the CD borderlands was overrrun, mostly by TC, at that time we could only hold our own on EB (barely).

Most people that transferred here during these past two weeks are in for a shock if we move to T3. The meltdowns should be fun to watch.

I don’t know if this is true but a CD player told me that CD was trying to shut us down and purposely focus us to lose to EB. That totally made me laugh, if it’s true then CD is intimidated as they should be. No offense to EB but it takes all of CD night crew to shut us down for us to lose to EB, i don’t know if EB is in the right tier. all of CD was in mag bl for 6hours late last night gaining very slow momentum when they had us outnumbered 2:1 if not 3:1 not leaving our bl once, til they hit an unpenetrable keep in the east. We all just got bored of defending at 8am and just left the keep in the morning and decided to karma train.

That requires organization and good synergy between players, CD doesn’t have that, so whoever told you that is lying.
